Kate Happy Kids Will Be With Her For Christmas, denies self-funding pilot for new reality TV show

Kate Gosselin: All Eight Kids Want to Be With Me for Christmas

OMG/YAHOO.COM : Buying and wrapping Christmas presents for eight kids sounds like a job that would require the help of a team of elves, but Kate Gosselin is doing it solo this year. Ever since she split from husband Jon Gosselin in June 2009, she's been doing most of the everyday work herself — since she has primary custody of 12-year-old twins Mady and Cara and 8-year-old sextuplets Aaden, Alexis, Colin, Hannah, Joel, and Leah — and this holiday season will be no different. Although the brood typically spends Christmas Eve with their father who lives nearby in Reading, Pennsylvania, "They're at the age now where we ask them," Kate tells omg!. "So they basically dictate it and they want to be home Christmas and the days surrounding it."
Now that the kids — who grew up before our eyes on TLC's "Jon & Kate Plus 8" and then the spin-off "Kate Plus 8" for seven seasons — are older, they're much more into the holiday spirit and what it truly means. Kate, 37, got a lot of help decorating from her eldest girls, who even put up a Christmas tree in their shared bedroom. "Mady and Cara are so cute; they shop for each other with their own money and they hide in the store from each other," she says proudly. "They're so fun just to take shopping because they genuinely really think through what the other wants."
As for the younger six, their eyes seem to be bigger than Kate's wallet. "We don't do Santa," she explains, "but they give me the list, and they have really really big requests and I really really work really hard to honor them. The littlest ones want iPods and all this stuff, and I'm just like, 'Oh my gosh.' All that electronic equipment is so expensive. I'm trying to explain to them, 'If that's on your list then please understand there's not going to be, like, a two-hour [Christmas present] opening session.' They're at the age where you have to explain that. You really have to do a disclaimer at the beginning before opening [gifts]."

And the Gosselin kids are just as excited to play Santa for children who aren't as fortunate. This year, just like years past, they will take part in the Toys for Tots charity, which collects Christmas presents for the underprivileged. "They cannot imagine kids that don't have Christmas," shares Kate.
Though it's been over a year since the Gosselins have been on TV, they could all be coming back very soon — whether it's as another family series or Kate all on her own. So does that mean it will be a dating show, as reported? "Well, all I can say to that is you're just going to have to wait," teases the usually chatty mom. Regardless if that happens, the kids really want to go back to having the cameras document their adventures. "We definitely have fond memories of those days," Kate says. "The kids decide now, they have voices. If they're not into it, it's not happening, but I happen to know they honestly miss it, and they still talk about it and think it's exciting."
Kate on the run. (PacificCoastNews.com)Until then, Kate is keeping busy raising her eight kids out of the spotlight. And although that can be extremely stressful at times, she finds a way to burn off the tension: running. Last December, she completed her first marathon in just under five hours, and this coming Sunday, she's returning to the same Rock 'n' Roll race in Las Vegas, except, "I'm doing a half [marathon] this time around," she explains.
But she does want to one day run another 26.2-miler and improve her time, although working in practice runs when you're raising eight kids is nearly impossible. "[My trainer] understood finally that I just can't … if someone's sick tomorrow morning and they can't go to school, then there went my whatever-mile run," says Kate. "So I literally fitted in the amount of time on my own, I'm my own trainer in my head. It takes out a lot of stress. I have a lot of stress in life and it gets all of that out in a healthy way. I always say looking good is a side benefit."
And when she runs 13 miles on Sunday, her kids will all be cheering for her, even if they won't be standing on the sidelines in Vegas (because of school). Still, "I have a lofty goal of running the New York City Marathon and having them at the finish line — that just gave me chills thinking about it," Kate tells omg!. "They are lined up to get the text notifications [with the runners' times], and that's really exciting for them. They're really, really proud of me. They're my biggest encouragers."

Kate Gosselin denies self-funding pilot for new reality TV show

Realitytvorld.com: Kate Gosselin has denied a report that she has decided to fund her own pilot for a new reality show in the hopes of convincing a cable network to pick it up. "100% false. Consider the source again," the former Kate Plus 8 star told Reality TV World on Friday about the report, which Huffington Post gossip columnist Rob Shuter had published in his Naughty But Nice column earlier this week. According to Shuter, Gosselin had decided to produce and foot the bill for a show pilot herself after failing to convince several networks to give her a new reality show. "I know three different cable networks that have passed on making a pilot with Kate," a source told Shuter. "Kate and her children are a known TV quantity -- it's an easy yes or no." Shuter also reported Gosselin had also reached out to fellow reality star Kendra Wilkinson and pitched the idea of filming a show about moms swapping their children. Gosselin and Wilkinson's representatives had reportedly not returned calls for comment when contacted by Shuter.

Kate 1, Haters 0: Kate Gosselin Strikes Back: Author Who Criticized Her Has All Posts Wiped Off The Web!

WENN

RADARONLINE: One of Kate Gosselin's fiercest critics has just received a hard lesson that the reality star does not forgive or forget those who attack her.
Robert Hoffman, author of the stinging e-book Kate Gosselin How She Fooled the World, got a big surprise Monday afternoon: all of the posts on his anti-Kate web site are gone!

"I honestly don't know anything yet (about the situation)," Hoffman told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview, adding that he was "waiting for an explanation." (The posts were removed at some point between Monday morning and late afternoon.)
Hoffman had previously been silenced by two top law firms who succeeded in getting Amazon to remove his e-book from sale. The book contains reams of material found on Kate's computer hard drive, which Hoffman told Radar he obtained from her trash.

In recent weeks, he has charged that she has been physically violent toward her children, detailed her seemingly endless quest for free products, accused her of using her children to achieve personal fame, stated flat out that Jon Gosselin — his friend — is the better parent, and admitted to calling Child Protective Services on the mom of eight. Now all of the material on his web site has been removed and Hoffman tells Radar, "…it would appear that the lawyers are at it again."

He revealed he received this message at the top of his account page: "We have received a DMCA complaint for one or more of your blogs. Emails with the details were sent to you and all affected posts have been reset to "Draft" status (you may find them by selecting "Drafts" on the "Edit posts" page for each of the affected blogs). You may re-publish the posts with the offending content and/or link(s) removed. If you believe you have the rights to post this content, you can file a counter-claim with us."
Hoffman says he never received any emails from Google or any other entity. The email directed him to Google's policy on removing content. The prestigious Washington, D.C. law firm of Williams & Connolly has represented TLC's parent company Discovery in the legal fray over the e-book and the top-not LA firm Lavely & Singer also teamed up against Hoffman and is believed to be representing Kate. It seems that one of the firms went around Hoffman -- after putting him on notice -- and succeeded in having his material officially removed for now.

The last post Hoffman put up was about spending a night with Jon, his children and his girlfriend and extolled his parenting skills with a scathing comparison to Kate’s. Hoffman claims he has more damaging info on Kate that he will release at a later date. But for now at least, it appears that Kate has succeeded in wiping him off the web.

Kate Gosselin live tweets her favorite 'Dancing with the Stars' moments

EXAMINER.COM: Former Dancing with the Stars contestant and reality television personality Kate Gosselin wasn't holding onto any sour grapes on Monday night when she live journaled her commentary about the show via Twitter.
Kate appeared on the tenth season of Dancing with the Stars in 2010. Kate and her dancing partner Tony Dovolani were eliminated in the fifth week. She wasn't asked to appear on this season's All Stars show however. In early August, Kate wrote a piece on CouponCabin about this season's Dancing with the Stars All Stars. She recalled feeling nervous and out of place on the show. Kate also praised Pamela Anderson for returning to the All Stars edition this yearKate described Pamela as "so talented", suggesting the pair became friends during the season they were on together. She wrote about how she and Pamela bonded over motherhood.Kate did not mention the snub in not being asked participate in the All Stars cast however.
Kate's friend Pamela Anderson was the first to get kicked off this season's All Stars. Monday night Kate seemed to put all of that behind her, as she described sitting next to her children to watch Dancing with the Stars All Stars while she live-tweeted her reactions.
Kate tweeted early into the show, "Watching #DWTS with 2 major fans...Mady&Cara! :) Wow! I'm so impressed with All Stars season! You ALL rock!"
Kate also said that Mady was the most happy sitting next to her mom, watching her favorite show. She said that Mady and Cara were "most fond of Shawn and Derek, but it's sooo hard to choose!"
Kate also said that Mady called DWTS judge Len Goodman, "old."
Kate tweeted, "Mady: (in response to lens comment 'that was the bees knees') 'aw I love when old people say stuff like that!' LOL!"
Kate ended the night by gushing on Shawn. For her last DWTS tweet of the evening, Kate tweeted, "Okay, Shawn that dance was just seriously ridiculously amazing! Loved it! (and ignore Len!) #DWTS."

Kate's Kids Photographed By Jon's Girlfriend With Pit Bulls

Jon Gosselin's Kids Photographed With Pit Bulls, Sparks New Controversy

Photo: Pacific Coast News

Jon Gosselin's girlfriend caused a wave of fury when she posted photos of he and Kate Gosselin's children nuzzling with a pit bull dog, RadarOnline.com has learned. "The most pure and genuine kind of love & affection," Liz Jannetta tweeted last weekend, showing one of Jon's daughters hugging a pit bull.

The photo immediately sparked outrage among some of her followers because of the dog's stereotype of being aggressive and unsafe around children, so Liz followed up by saying, "My kids r around pitbulls every day.. Frm Dobies, to German Shepherds to Rottweiler, now Pits- the desire 2 blame wil nvr fade."
Liz then posted another photo of one of Jon's sons with the pit bull and wrote, "Photography enables such devotion and feeling… <3 these two."

One follower shot back at Liz implying that Kate would be upset if she saw the photos.
"Sure u want 2 be stiring things up Liz..or u wouldn't be tweeting another woman's kids with pit bulls..Yes did U have permission?" they wrote."permission from.... Twitter?? Yes, "another woman's kids" also the children of my boyfriend. Kindly... Keep comments to urself plz," Liz shot back. Jon's ex has been embroiled in her own controversy recently, with an author named Robert Hoffman alleging Kate hit the children with a wooden spoon and abused their family pets.

Coupon Cabin Gets Nasty, Kate, On Parenting, Dating & Looking Young

Kate GosselinKate GosselinCredit: Peter Kramer/Bravo/NBCU Photo Bank

USWEEKLY.COM Kate Plus 8 -- minus a job?

Former reality show matriarch Kate Gosselin has been let go from her gig as a blogger for CouponCabin, the company's CEO announced in a letter Tuesday.
"Some nine-plus years ago, I started CouponCabin with the thought of creating a single website that had all the best coupons . . . no gimmicks, no fluff, just a site that was easy to use and that had great deals," founder Scott Kluth wrote. "A series of recent events have made it clear to me that Kate Gosselin and her contributions do not align with the authenticity which we set out to build almost a decade ago, and that Ms. Gosselin is simply not a good fit with the wonderful team and culture at CouponCabin."
Concluded Kluth, "We wish Kate, her family and her support staff all the best."
Beyond the CEO's letter, CouponCabin has declined to elaborate on the "recent events" that led them to fire the 37-year-old Philadelphia native, who is a mom to twins Cara and Madelyn, 12, and sextuplets AadenCollinJoelLeah, Alexis and Hannah, 8, with ex-husband Jon Gosselin. Since TLC's Kate Plus 8 went off the air in 2011, Gosselin has focused on her kids and her blog, in which she shared budgeting tips with CouponCabin's readers. Last week, however, the mom of eight appeared on Watch What Happens Livewhere she addressed her youthful appearance and those reports that she's dating her bodyguard"I am probably one of the rare few who de-age," Gosselin told Andy Cohen, shooting down speculation that she's had work done. As for her bond with her longtime bodyguard Steve Neild? "I'm single! Still [and] always," she exclaimed, denying longstanding rumors of a romance.
Kate Gosselin on Parenting, Dating and Looking Young BABBLE.COM

You would think that experiencing two multiple pregnancies and births (first twins, then sextuplets), raising eight children, going through a difficult divorce and having your life picked apart publicly would take a toll on your looks. Just the opposite, in Kate Gosselin‘s case. At 37, she’s looking better than ever. And despite persistent rumors that she’s gone under the knife, she insists that her young appearance is entirely natural. Us Weekly quotes a statement she made onWatch What Happens Live the other day: “I am probably one of the rare few who de-age.”
Shown a photo of herself looking tired and a trifle heavy back in 2004 soon after giving birth to her sextuplets, she went on to explain that after that ordeal, “you have to get better, right? You can’t get worse than that.”
(Still, the gossip goes on. Sources have told the magazine that Kate’s looks are Botox-enhanced.)
The other question that keeps turning up for the reality star is whether she’s seeing anyone, now that her split from ex-husband Jon is several years old.
The one name that comes up often is Steve Neild, the family’s long-time bodyguard. Not so, says Kate. “I’m single! Still [and] always,” she told Andy Cohen. The only reason Steve is there, she adds, is to protect her and her family. “I’m not going to give out [past horror] stories, but it’s warranted for sure. He keeps them safe.”
Will she ever become Kate Plus Mate again? She’s said that she wouldn’t mind being on a dating show – and that the kids keep urging her to find someone new. But she also acknowledges the challenges that come with dating a famous mom who comes with a large ready-made family.
She tells Access Hollywood, “It’s a hard spot to be in. [Eight children] is a lot to expect from anyone….So, I mean, whatever happens. [If] somebody is brave enough to stick around for some period of time, it’s probably meant to be.”
In the 12 years since she first became a mom, Kate has been through plenty of lows along with the highs, which she says have matured her and changed her priorities. “Going through such a public divorce, and feeling like you have to fight for your kids every day and the things that protect them and the things that are important for them has really, really, really made me realize what is important – and it’s them.”

Kate Gosselin Shines on "Katie", Ready For "Watch What Happens Live" With Andy Cohen!

Hello Kate Gosselin fans! While the last few haters left have a coffee clutch about the book no one will ever see IE: VICTORY... I have been so excited to be back in the blogging world. I know it's been a while since I've done a personal post. So it was long over due. I took myself out of the computer world for a bit to focus on my own career which has blessed me with some great opportunities. And I thank Kate for that. I saw her strength with a few rotten people trying to bring her down and it just made me thrive and have the confidence in myself not to let anything get in the way of my dreams. Which is not to say it's been easy..but I have made myself happy and healthy and it would not have been without using Kate Gosselin as my role model. In the end the haters lose, Kate is back and getting out there and not letting any lies of some stupid book or negativity get her down. Know that I will always be here supporting strong women, like yourselves...and if you ever need an ear I'm a click away..xo BM

'I've been through a lot': Kate Gosselin steps out in New York City after tearful television interview with Katie Couric: DailyMail.co.uk

She catapulted to fame as the multi-tasking mother of eight young children. And Kate Gosselin certainly has her hands full with 11-year-old twins and eight-year-old sextuplets. But the 37-year-old former reality star managed to squeeze some time in for herself today, hitting the streets of New York City looking fresh and glamorous after an emotional television interview with Katie Couric. Kate, who with her ex-husband Jon was profiled on TLC show Jon & Kate Plus 8, exited the Manhattan studio dressed in black denim and a matching purple, grey and black sweater. The busy mom gave herself a few added inches of height with a pair of peep-toe stilettos. Kate was one of several reality stars featured on Couric's new talk show Katie, for a segment entitled Who We Are Through Reality TV. The episode, which aired on ABC on Wednesday, was an emotional one for Kate, who fought back tears and broke out in hives as she discussed her personal life. Asked how she was doing by the former news anchor, Kate said: 'I have been through a lot, sorry. So when you’ve gone through a lot you realize what’s important. 'I’m learning to let the little stuff go. Yeah. I feel like everybody as you get older... you mature. My heart was always in the right place,' she added.

Kate also confirmed rumours she is planning a return to the small screen - with her own dating reality show.
The TV mom, who divorced husband Jon Gosselin in 2009 after ten years of marriage, explained: 'It's true. After a few years and realizing my barriers to dating and loving TV and the experiences... I feel like honestly, that was my idea!
'I would do it! But I think it would be fun and allow me to meet people and have fun. It will show my fun side. I think it would be really fun.' Kate meanwhile is coming down from a legal victory after a scathing book about the star was removed from sale by online retailer Amazon. It followed claims about her mental health by author Robert Hoffman, who claims to be a close friend of Gosselin's ex husband Jon. Hoffman followed Kate daily as a freelance reporter for Us Weekly during the height of TLC’s Jon & Kate Plus 8 popularity.Much of his information in the book came from computer hard drives that he claimed he found in Kate's trash. The book was filled with what he alleges to be emails from Kate, the Discovery network, contracts and personal documents - many of which he reproduced in their entirety.
Hoffman described his ongoing friendship with Kate’s ex husband Jon Gosselin early in the book, saying he was in possession of 5,000 family photos, personal documents, tax and business records plus contracts from his trash-diving computer find.

'I'll be sued by one or more parties before this is over,' he wrote. While the book repeats many well-known stories depicting Kate in a negative light, Hoffman’s tome is filled with personal attacks. Amazon notified Hoffman that it removed the book, pending further investigation after receiving notice that it may not be properly authorized by the appropriate rights holder.' Williams & Connolly, representing Discovery Communications, Inc. also allegedly sent Hoffman a legal letter informing him that his book contained confidential information protected by law and demanding he 'cease and desist from dissemination' of that information. In the endless Jon vs. Kate debate he found some supporters for his book and is now asking online for donations, thanking people who have allegedly offered to help him financially and writing: 'I’m overwhelmed and at a loss for words.' Hoffman posted the notice from Amazon and also the legal letter from Williams & Connolly. It is not yet clear if Kate or her former network will sue Hoffman. And while he describes himself as Jon’s friend, he gives no indication of what Jon thinks of the book.

Hate Book About Kate Removed From Shelves Was Written By Jon's Friend

Vitriolic Book About Kate Gosselin Written By Jons Pal Removed From Sale After Legal Threats
RadarOnline.com: Amazon has removed from sale a shockingly vitriolic book about Kate Gosselin after legal intervention by two top law firms. Kate Gosselin: How She Fooled The World, an e-book written by Jon Gosselin’s pal Robert Hoffman called Kate “sick” and in desperate need of mental help. The book featured allegations so potentially libelous that they cannot be repeated here as they lack adequate substantiation. Now after only approximately two days on sale, Hoffman’s book is gone, removed by Amazon after the intervention of lawyers from Los Angeles powerhouse firm Lavely & Singer and Washington, D.C.’s respected Williams & Connolly.

Much of Hoffman’s information came from computer hard drives that he claimed he found (STOLE!) in Kate’s trash. The book was filled with what appeared to be emails from Kate, the Discovery network, contracts and personal documents, many of which he reproduced in their entirety. Hoffman described his ongoing friendship with Kate’s ex husband Jon early in the book and bragged he was in possession of 5,000 family photos, personal documents, tax and business records plus contracts from his trash-diving computer find. "I’ll be sued by one or more parties before this is over,” he wrote in a prediction that hardly elevated him into the class of clairvoyant because of his charges against Kate, some of which appeared to have little or no substantiation. Hoffman’s tome is filled with personal attacks that even the anti-Kate audience may find excessive.

We're told Amazon notified Hoffman that it removed the book – pending further investigation -- after receiving notice that it “may not be properly authorized by the appropriate rights holder.” That notice of infringement came from Lavely & Singer. Williams & Connolly, representing Discovery Communications, Inc. also apparently sent Hoffman a legal letter informing him that his book contained confidential information protected by law and demanding he “cease and desist from dissemination” of that information.

Hoffman followed Kate daily as a freelance reporter for Us Weekly during the height of TLC’s Jon & Kate Plus 8 popularity. In the endless Jon vs. Kate debate he has found some supporters for his book and is now asking online for donations, thanking people who have allegedly offered to help him financially and writing: “I’m overwhelmed and at a loss for words.” Hoffman posted the notice from Amazon and also the legal letter from Williams & Connolly. It is not yet clear if Kate or her former network will sue Hoffman. And while he describes himself as Jon’s friend, he gives no indication what Jon thinks of the “book” and why Jon stood by while Kate allegedly committed acts that cannot be republished here. Jon has not responded to Radar’s requests for comment.

Kate's Stunning Fashion Gig, Haters Try To Attack Heels Photo

Kate Gosselin Walks the Runway During New York Fashion Week!: US Weekly.com

Kate Gosselin sure loves the cameras! The former TLC reality star, 37, made her first-ever appearance at New York Fashion Week when she walked in the "Real Fashion, Real Women" runway show at the Empire Hotel September 12. The event was held on behalf of Bottomless Closet, an organization that helps disadvantaged women become more self-sufficient.

"I love supporting causes that make a huge difference in women's lives!" the single mother-of-eight tweeted prior to strutting her stuff on the catwalk. Looking tanned as ever, the one-time Dancing With the Stars competitor glided down the runway in a draped white dress with silver embellishments. Gosselin's blonde hair was curled and hung loose below her shoulders. Real Housewives of New York City star Aviva Drescher also participated in the fashion show. Despite Gosselin's sometimes polarizing persona, the show's host and organizer, Derek Warburton, told the Huffington Post she was "so nice, sweet and accommodating and cool" when they approached her to model.

Of course, once news of Gosselin's participation was leaked, the organization received strong criticism via Twitter.
"We have all been in Twitter wars about Kate," Warburton said. "They were attacking us for having her in the show. I responded saying, 'Listen, we are not paying her. She is doing this out of the goodness of her heart.' What's remarkable is every time we get a nasty tweet about Kate, she writes and apologizes. She doesn't care about the haters, but she cares about us, the charity. She must have apologized to me five times for what people say about her."

Kate Gosselin Hit (Unsuccessfully) By Twitter Haters Over Daughter In Heels HuffingtonPost.com: Kate Gosselin must have caught the fashion bug last week while walking in a charity runway show. Just a few days later, she posted a picture on Twitter of her 11-year-old daughter Mady in a pair of mom's high heels, for which she's received some harsh criticism. "Kate had no idea the backlash she would get for posting an innocent picture," a friend of Kate's tells me. "Her show hasn't been on TV for a while, and it's amazing how much response she still gets."

That response was evident during New York Fashion Week, Sept. 6-13, when she participated in a show to benefit the charity Bottomless Closet. Shortly after it was announced Gosselin would appear, the hate tweets started. But the show's organizers chose to ignore them.
"I feel so blessed," organizer Derek Warburton told me after the show. "I am going to be able to take this and help so many people on a massive scale because of Kate's involvement. I must have cried 10 times over the last few days."
"I don't pay any attention to it [the haters]," Gosselin told me in New York. "I'm happy to be helping out and just hope I don't fall on my you-know-what."

Jon Relieved of Paying Child Support Months Ago, Kate Answers Fan Questions!

Kate Gosselin Says Jon Is So Full Of Doo-Doo It's Leaking Out His Nose! PerezHilton.com

But… he looks so trustworthy! Remember when Jon Gosselin recently turned out his pockets to tell us he was penniless and facing either eviction or jail? He wove a tale of woe and self-pity centering around the recession and the courts forcing him to pay eight kids worth of child support to Kate instead of making rent, LOLz!!We guess he was so broke he couldn't even afford to pay attention to the terms of his child support! It turns out Jon doesn't owe ANY child support money at all! According to Kate's lawyer, Cheryl Young, the dad isn't a deadbeat — just a dummy. She said:

E! Online Discusses Possible Kate Gosselin Dating Show. Kate Looks Amazing At Bloggers Conference

E!Online.com: Kate Gosselin is putting herself out there again—and how! The divorced mother of eight has signed up to do a dating show and is in the process of looking for a network to televise her quest for love, E! News has exclusively learned. "She is ready to get back into the dating game," a source tells us. "She is ready to find love again and to move on from her past. She's excited, this is a chance to start something new."
"She finds it hard to meet men in her day to day life," the source continued, "and so a dating show will give her exactly the help she needs. She is willing to travel around the country in order to meet Mr. Right." They could call it The Amazing Kate!
Gosselin, hubby Jon and their eight kids spent five seasons on cable together, then Kate went it alone (not counting the children, of course) on Kate Plus 8 for another two seasons and appeared on Dancing With the Stars in 2010. She remains a household name, but the 37-year-old celeb has been out of the limelight for about a year. Now might be just the right time for a comeback, though.
"She looks fantastic," our source adds, "and she's in a really great space. She's in fantastic shape because of all her marathon training, this feels like the right time for her." Sure enough, you eligible bachelors out there, you better be fit if you plan to keep up with Kate—she ran a half-marathon in San Diego, Calif., last month and a 3-mile "mini marathon" in Chicago.

Kate Gosselin flaunts sleek runner's physique at blogger conference

Examiner.com: Reality TV star Kate Gosselin showed off her toned runner's legs while making an appearance at the BlogHer 2012 conference in New York City on Aug. 3. Gosselin, 37, was at the event to promote the website CouponCabin, for which she blogs and races. Kate, who completed a three-mile run in Chicago last month on behalf of CouponCabin, will participate in a 5K race in September to benefit the Special Olympics and has hinted she may run the New York City Marathon this fall.
The previously sedentary Kate, who never worked out regularly until 2006, has dramatically reshaped her body since she began running in 2008. Just two years later, the blonde mom of eight, who once couldn't run for more than five minutes without stopping, soon began logging 5-10 miles a day.
She has since completed her first full marathon in under five hours and set a personal best time in the half-marathon. As her running and physique dramatically improved, Gosselin has emerged as a fitness role model for women and moms across the country. "I never set out to encourage people directly (to run), but I just started tweeting and blogging about my experiences, and I think it's given people--especially moms and women--the encouragement they needed," she has said.
Kate never imagined she'd be able to cover the distances she now does, and says she teaches lessons in perseverance to her kids with her running. "I want them to remember this moment, when their mom completed a marathon, knowing that nothing in life should stop them from attaining their goals," she said..

Kate Gosselin Finishes Chicago Marathon In Less Than 30 minutes! Gosselin Summer Plans

Kate Gosselin Runs Chicago MinMarathon, Finishes 184th

Kate Gosselin ran the Rock 'n' Roll Mini Marathon in Chicago on Sunday with her Coupon Cabin co-workers. The mother of eight finished the three-mile race in 29 minutes, 54 seconds.

An avid runner, Gosselin referred to the event as a “fun run” and a good way for her to spend some time with her co-workers. Kate, 37, finished 184th out of 1,126 total runners and 94th out of the 763 women running. Oddly, Kate's hometown on the marathon's official website is listed as Beverly Hills, California. Is there something you're not telling us, Kate???

EXAMINER.COM: Former reality TV star Kate Gosselin, who recently completed her first full marathon, will run a 5K race in Wyomissing, Pa., this fall to benefit the Special Olympics.

In a radio interview with Y102 (Reading, Pa.) hosts Scott St. John and Jackie Hoffman, Gosselin revealed she has a stacked schedule in the coming months. "I do a lot of different runs, and what better run to do than a local one that benefits a great cause?" Kate said of the Y102 'Yes I Can' 5K, which takes place in Grings Mill park in Wyomissing, Pa., on Sept. 8.
Gosselin, who set a personal best time at the San Diego Rock 'n' Roll half-marathon last month, says anyone can become a runner if they try.The mom of eight, who had never worked out regularly until 2006, is in the best shape of her life now, thanks to daily runs and strength-training. When she started, Kate, 37, couldn't run for more than five minutes at a time. She slowly built up her stamina and speed, working up to an hour daily on the treadmill, and then began running outdoors in June 2010.
"I believe in pushing yourself, pushing your goals, pushing what you think is possible," says Gosselin. "People need to give themselves a chance and really put forth the effort. "Honestly, I never set out to encourage people directly (to run), but I just started tweeting and blogging about my experiences, and I think it's given people--especially moms and women--the encouragement they needed."Kate never imagined she'd be able to cover the distances she now does, and underscored that anyone can become fit if they're committed. "Nobody's born a runner," she says. "You walk, you run for two minutes...you build up slowly and then you realize, 'Oh my gosh, I did it!' "
These days, Gosselin sometimes runs with her kids, some of whom have become running enthusiasts because of her daily regimen. "Any parent that's a runner, you wind up with a few [kids] that are interested in it," says Kate. "I'm very into nutrition and fitness, so the kids and I started running together. They are very encouraging to me. They used to ask me when they got off the school bus, 'How many miles did you run?' It really helps to have a group of people encouraging you."
While Gosselin wouldn't reveal exactly which races she'll participate in (could the NYC Marathon be in the cards?), she has a full schedule this fall, including a full marathon, a 1/2 marathon and a 10k race, all within a four-week period. "If you make the time to exercise or run, it is possible (to get in shape)," she says. "People shouldn't give up on themselves." Check out more information on the Y102 'Yes I Can' 5k here or listen to the entire radio interview here.

Kate Gosselin's Kids Keeping Busy This Summer: Gather.com

Kate Gosselin's eight children are keeping busy this summer. Maddy, Cara, Alexis, Hannah, Colin, Joel, Leah, and Aaden haven't been lounging around the house, according to their mom's Twitter account.
Kate says her children have had a busy, yet fun summer so far, and it's been full of activity. This week, the Gosselin eight were occupied with going to the orthodontist, as Kate revealed one of her kids has gotten braces, and vacation Bible school.
Gosselin has always been a very hands on mother, and making sure her children have plenty of interesting, and fun, activities to do is just one of her goals.
Meanwhile, Kate has been busy herself. The former reality TV mom has been working for coupon cabin, and continues to focus on her health. Gosselin is an avid runner, and runs nearly every day, in addition to eating healthy.
It looks like Kate Gosselin's kids are having a fun and happy summer. Hopefully, they continue to enjoy their break from school when they're in the custody of their father, Jon Gosselin, as well.
