Kate Gosselin Says Brother Lied: MyFoxPhilly.com

PHILADELPHIA - Reality TV mom Kate Gosselin went on the offensive Wednesday, after her brother testified before a Pennsylvania state legislative panel that her eight children were mistreated. Gosselin went on Joy Behar’s talk show and slammed Kevin Kreider, her brother, and her sister-in-law, Jodi Kreider. "My brother has made a lot of money off of saying things that are untrue about us," Gosselin said. "I've not allowed them to see my kids for two years. So I'm not quite sure what information they think they may have." Gosselin claims the Kreiders tried to cash in on her fame. "With that kind of trust ruined and knowing that they have made hundreds of thousands of dollars on lies about us, I'm not sure what their goals are, because they were a part of our show and things were fine and dandy then."

Last year, the Kreiders told various media outlets they were kicked off “Jon & Kate Plus 8” after Kate Gosselin found out TLC wanted to compensate the Krieders for appearing on the show. Earlier on Wednesday, state officials said they would not take action against TLC for not obtaining work permits for Jon and Kate Gosselin’s eight children. The Pennsylvania Department of Labor said the producers of the reality TV show did not violate child labor laws. The state investigation found that filming was done without proper permits, but no legal action will be taken against the show’s producers as long as they get permits for future filming. Also, going forward, 15 percent of the gross earnings must be put into a trust for the children. At an unrelated hearing on Wednesday, Kate and Jodi Kreider shocked some in attendance with their claims about how “Jon & Kate” was produced.

Jon Gosselin Finds A Place To Live: Radar.com

Jon Gosselin is moving into his own place near the home he used to share with Kate and their 8 kids. Jon’s lawyer Anthony F. List told RadarOnline.com that Gosselin has “rented a large apartment in Reading PA with several bedrooms” and that “he signed the lease just the other day.” “He’s secured a property in Reading. There’s a lot of room with lots of open space. It’s really beautiful,” List told RadarOnline.com. Last week Jon filed court papers requesting physical custody of the Gosselin kids as well as the right to live in Kate’s guest house. As RadarOnline.com reported, Jon has been living with his brother since breaking up with girlfriend Morgan Christie. Kate’s attorney, Mark Momjian called the filing “procedurely flawed” and told RadarOnline.com that, among other things, Jon hadn’t even listed a current address. Jon’s attorney, clearly annoyed, responded to Momjian’s statements, saying: “Grow up. For obvious reasons, we did not want to put down Jon’s address. It would have created havoc for him, his neighbors and his brother. I think it was an unfair comment for Momjian to make when he knows full well that it has nothing to do with the merit of what I filed.” On Thursday, Momjian continued to articulate his position, saying that Jon should continue to pay child support no matter what Kate is earning now.“I would agree that Jon needs to pay child support,” List told RadarOnline.com. “There’s no question about it…it’s an obligation of both parents. But it has to be based on what their ability to pay is, what their income is. Throughout the entire proceedings with Jon and Kate, there’s never been any information put on the table about either one’s income or expenses.
“Kate has tremendous sources of income and as long as she’s portrayed as this wonderful mother and this flawless golden girl then her value continues to rise.”List says that overall Jon is just trying to “be a good guy.” "He’s not trying to take the kids away from Kate, he’s not trying to destroy the relationship they have with them,” List told RadarOnline.com. “The nice thing is that there have been nice compliments going back and forth with both of them. Kate has said that Jon really loves their children and is a good father. “But they need to get to the issues at hand and stop fighting over things that are tearing them apart and most importantly, tearing the kids apart.”

Jodi & Kevin Kreider's Witch Hunt, Gosselins Taking The Stand? Kate On E! News

Kate Gosselin's Brother Slams "Jon & Kate Plus 8" In Hearing On Child Labor Laws: Radar.com

Kate Gosselin's brother Kevin Kreider and his wife Jodi told Pennsylvania lawmakers that the eight Gosselin children have been subject to unfair conditions during the production of the TLC show Jon & Kate Plus 8 in a hearing Wednesday, regarding the state's child labor laws, and how it pertains to reality TV shows. The Kreiders told the court that, among other concerns, Gosselin kids were stripped of their privacy, emotionally manipulated & had their safety compromised in the name of reality TV.

The kids, according to the Kreiders, were burdened with rooms overloaded with TV production equipment and as many as three crew members present for two to three days at a time. Their privacy was also compromised, the Kreiders said, as the kids were taped during their potty training (even without their parents present) for clips that were subsequently uploaded to the Internet.

In a statement released to RadarOnline.com, TLC responded to the testimony of the Kreiders by saying: "The welfare of and respect for anyone on our network is always paramount; and these allegations are either completely inaccurate or a distorted representation for maximum attention. In addition, we have and continue to comply with all regulations from the Department Of Labor.” When asked about the possible coincidence in timing between Jon’s custody lawsuit and Wednesday’s TLC hearing, Momjiam responded: “I’m not going to speculate but I do think there’s something rotten about the entire custody matter and I think it’s striking that it comes at a time when Kate is doing so well and providing for her kids.”

Jon, Kate & Every Last Gosselin Taking The Stand: E!Online.com

Just when you thought there were no Gosselins left to get dragged into the spotlight...

Pennsylvania state Rep. Thomas Murt wants to make sure the buck stops at the Plus 8 and, as a result, is dragging a slew of Kate Gosselin's relatives into court to ensure that no more kids are exploited by the big bad basic cable companies. At least not under his watch. His intent is to rack up as much testimony as possible about the impact being in movies and on television has on kids as part of an ongoing legislative hearing on state child labor laws—with which the Gosselins are all too familiar. It's unclear why Kate and Jon Gosselin won't be testifying, as theoretically they would have the most insight into the circumstance the politico is hoping to prevent, but keeping track of who's who in their ongoing game of good-parent, bad-parent is keeping them plenty busy for the moment.

Not that it's only going to be a Gosselinpalooza in the courthouse this week. Really, it was only a matter of time before defense attorney to the stars mistresses anyone in the vicinity of a camera got involved, and she's yet again managed to finagle herself into some column inches: That's right, Gloria Allred will also be taking the stand. But that's not all that's going on at the courts. Either through a stroke of genius or sheer dumb luck (our money's on the latter), Jon just might have found the perfect way to test his latest pet parental theory, thanks to a so-perfect-it-could-have-been-scripted coincidence with Dancing With the Stars.

A judge this week set a hearing date of May 25 for his latest tête-à-tête custody clash with Kate, the very same day as this season's finale of the reality hit. Delusions of grandeur aside, judging by her performance hit rate, Kate is unlikely to find herself competing in the finale, though she is expected, as all DWTS contestants are, to participate in it. So will she prove Jon wrong and choose prime time over courtroom face time? Sadly, we'll never know. Thanks to the time difference between a Pennsylvania courthouse and a Los Angeles soundstage and these newfangled things called direct flights, Gosselin can safely be in two places at (almost) the same time.

Back to scheming, Jon.

SAFE! Kate Gosselin's "Best Performance So Far", Today Show Interview, Being Strong For Her Kids

Kate Gosselin Praised "Best Dance So Far: USAToday.com

Kate Gosselin actually smiled! It happened on Dancing With The Stars after her not-completely-awful tango with Tony Dovolani. Judge Len Goodman praised Tony for "bringing Kate to produce her best dance so far." During the taped segment, Kate admitted, "There are times that we're in the middle of rehearsing and I look at Tony and I feel pity for him." (For having to deal with her.)The leader board: Evan, 52; Nicole, 50; Pam, 47; Chad, 44; Erin, 39; Jake, 38; Niecy, 36; Aiden, 33; Kate, 32. Said Kate on the show, "This is the do or die week for me." Will She make it another week?

Kate Gosselin: I'm Not Choosing Fame Over My Kids: People.com

Responding to her ex-husband's accusations that she's an absentee parent, Kate Gosselin says she has no choice but to work, which takes her away from her eight kids – but that she tries to make every moment with them count that much more.

"I've got to work harder now than ever because I am a single mom," the former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star, 35, said Tuesday on NBC's Today show. "In my heart I'm always in my kitchen, baking and cooking for my kids, and I'll always be there. It's a struggle to be here [in New York], to be anywhere. The emotion that you see is because I would rather be at home with them." But that's not always possible, she says. "I have to work. I have to provide for them. And it's a struggle that every working mom, especially single moms, go through, and I'm really feeling it now, and it's really hard."

The best she can do, Gosselin says, is carve out as much time with them as possible. She says she leaves Los Angeles, where Dancing With the Stars is filmed, every week to spend time in Pennsylvania. "If I had 24 hours a day seven days a week with eight kids, it wouldn't be enough time in my book," she says. "So, to minus out the working days is really hard. But I make the most of every minute I have with them … When I'm home, we make those little spots of time really big in our memories."

Gosselin speaks to her kids directly in her new book, I Just Want You to Know, and offers them "advice for now, advice for the future and for always, kind of like a legacy." She says the children are doing well, though of course divorce is tough on any child. "I don't think any child likes it," she says. "They still say things like, 'I wish Mommy and Daddy could be together.' They still have their same innocent love for each of us, and I appreciate that.

Will Kate Gosselin Survive This Week With The Tango? "Im Not A Quitter"

Kate Gosselin is a busy woman these days. She's going back and forth between Pennsylvania and Los Angeles, trying to raise her eight children, putting out a new book, getting ready for a new television series, and trying to learn dances to perform on Dancing With The Stars. Later tonight, we will see her perform a tango with her partner. Over the weekend, she was seen out in Pennsylvania. She needed to get her nails done. That was her last stop before jumping on a plane to be in Los Angeles for today's show. As for the custody suit with her ex-husband, Jon Gosselin - that is still making news. Kate's attorney still claims that Jon's case is full of holes, and he is trying to get it tossed out of court completely. Her attorney has stated the following: "There is no 'Jon Gosselin' exception to the Pennsylvania [law]." TMZ has the full set of legal documents filed by Jon Gosselin here. What do you think? Should his case be thrown out? Are you rooting for Kate on Dancing With The Stars this week?

Kate Gosselin's 'difficult' struggle balancing work and motherhood: 'It's tough, but I won't quit': NYDailyNews.com

Kate Gosselin gives a whole new meaning to working mom. In between balancing her stint on "Dancing with the Stars," being a mother to eight children and dealing with a custody battle with her ex-husband, the frazzled reality star says this time in her life has been "very difficult."

"I can't put my life aside and dance for six hours a day," Gosselin, 35, told E! Online from a New York dance studio. "It's not my lack of ability, but lack of presence. I struggle with this every day." She added, "I have determination. I will not quit! It's tough, but I am not a quitter."And for the reality mom, that means not giving up despite the harsh criticism she receives every week from the "DWTS" judges. "I take just their constructive criticism parts. I'm pretty used to taking criticism in general. I have to feel good about the dance and myself," said Gosselin, whose new TLC show "Twist of Kate" was announced on Thursday. Her children also have positive thoughts about her performances, despite not comprehending her recent paso doble routine to Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi.""They didn't understand the storyline, but they understand who the paparazzi are," she said, adding that they don't always get to watch her live on the show. "The kids fall asleep before I get to dance. One child asked me, 'Can you please dance earlier?'" She continued, "They worry about what I look like. They say Tony looks good. They say I look beautiful." In an effort to ease her nerves and work around her hectic schedule, Gosselin's dance partner, Tony Dovolani, said he is trying "everything in my arsenal."

"A dance teacher needs to understand the psyche and bring out the best in the student. I strongly believe in her," he told E! "The very first words she said on our show was, 'I want to win.' I told her today that I still see the possibility of her winning."

Kate Gosselin Gets 2 New Shows, Note To Haters, Brooke Burke Supports Kate

Hello Gosselin Fans! Danncing with the Stars continues Monday evening with the fourth night of season 10 competitive action. The nine remaining couples are slated to take on either the fiery Tango or the passionate, sexy Rumba, and for an added twist, they'll receive two sets of scores: One for technical elements, and the other for artistic flavor. How do you think Kate will do? Will she make it another week?

Kate Gosselin Proves Her Strength, Note To Haters: Backseatcuddler.comMy point is, Kate Gosselin really isn’t doing anything wrong but, she’s always being blasted for working hard and pursuing a career, and perhaps some of her dreams. Why does Kate have to defend herself for doing what everyone else in Hollywood is doing? Sure she came across a bit (sometimes a lot) on the ‘witchy’ side on Jon & Kate Plus 8. I can’t say that I’d be any different if I was married to Jon Gosselin and had eight kids to care for. I am sure you all will continue to point the finger at Kate Gosselin, ignoring all of your own faults. But, I sure wish you’d give the woman a break. She deserves one.

Kate Gosselin keeps a strong front going no matter what she is going through. Her ex-husband Jon Gosselin is dragging her through another round of hell, attempting to take the kids away from her with a bunch of unfounded claims. But, Kate is continuing on, not throwing in the towel. It seems like most of the public loves to hate on Kate Gosselin. Everyone seems to have found perfection in themselves and decided that calling out Kate Gosselin is now their right. Funny thing is, most of those hating Kate, don’t have any kids, much less eight of them. So perhaps they have no idea what they are actually judging. Also, I find it odd that Kate is being slammed for nannies caring for her kids while she’s at work. Yet, all the other celebrity actors, Hollywood types, etc have nannies taking care of their kids full time and no one bats an eye… Hello, Brangelina?

DWTS' Brooke Burke: I Want Kate Gosselin "to Pull Through": UsMagazine.com

Despite many reports of her diva-like behavior on Dancing with the Stars, Kate Gosselin has at least one fellow mom in her corner: the show's co-host Brooke Burke. "I have such a soft spot for her," Burke told UsMagazine.com at Thursday's Four Seasons Spa relaunch party in Westlake Village, Calif. "I want her to pull through just as a woman and a mother. I want her to be able to conquer it even if it's only for one night." While Burke concedes that the DWTS judges "aren't really making anything up" with their harsh critiques of Gosselin's dance routines, she lamented, "I just wish they would give her a little bit of a break...She has got it a little tougher than everybody else." Burke, a 38-year-old mother of four, adds that she and Gosselin, 35, have bonded backstage. "She is nice and warm and so kind and approachable. I have this great relationship with her.""As soon as the cameras go on," Burke admits, "something happens."

Yet production sources report in the new issue of Us Weekly that Gosselin is so standoffish that she has show staffers contact her through her bodyguard. "She acts like a major celebrity," the source says. Adds another: ""Not only is Kate the worst dancer, but she's nasty. "I haven't seen that side of Kate," Burke claimed. "Not one ounce." She notes that the reality star -- whose new TLC show Twist of Kate has just been announced -- is faring well despite a new custody lawsuit from ex-husband Jon. "I don't know how she is managing it all, honestly," Burke says. "Aside from being scared to death, she's okay."
