Kate Eases TLC Cancellation W/New Blog, Are The Kids Growing Up Too Fast?

Does Kate Gosselin see her kids growing too fast?

Limelife.com: Kate Gosselin was snapped prepping for the 10th birthday of her twin daughters Cara and Mady earlier this week. Did Kate get the kids for their full birthday celebration? Not exactly. We remember the Gosselin twins' birthday last year, when Cara and Mady were shuttled between the newly-separated homes of Jon and Kate. Kate Gosselin was said to have acted in nothing more than a "cordial" manner as a stressed-out Jon attend the ninth birthday party of Cara and Mady. At the time, Jon and Kate Gosselin were in a fierce feud over finances as their divorce saga reached its hottest point...but one year later, things were considerably less conflicted.

Jon Gosselin took twins Mady and Cara on a happy dad-and-daughters date Thursday night. Gosselin picked up the little ladies at Kate's house in Wernersville, Pennsylvania and drove them straight to their favorite spot to hang with Dad: the mall. Jon Gosselin tweeted Thursday night, "Just dropped my birthday girls off after a really fun night together ... I asked them what they wanted to do for their birthday and they said the mall and Olive Garden. So that's what we did!" Mmmm, Olive Garden... Anyway, mom Kate Gosselin was getting ready to party on Cara and Mady's birthday proper, Friday. Witness spotted Kate shopping for loads of decorations all over town for what's expected to be a big-deal birthday party -- come on, it's the perfect formula: Gosselin twins hitting the double-digits and perfect weather in Pennsylvania for 10.10.10 weekend! Plus we say this about (recent) Gosselin photos, taken Oct. 6, 2010 (Kate looks tired -- is it because it's early morning, or because the more these kids grow, they more they are to handle?!): "Kate Gosselin, Cara Gosselin, Alexis Gosselin are photographed at the bus stop today. The twins turn 10 on Friday, and there were lots of hugs and kisses coming from Kate." Love the birthday love!

'Kate Plus 8': Kate Gosselin eases TLC cancellation rumors with blog: Examiner.com

If you want some sort of definitive proof that Kate Gosselin's time on TLC is not over just yet, all you have to do is head over to her blog, where there is a new entry. While the entry does not directly address the rumors that "Kate Plus 8" has been canceled in any way, it does begin with this note from the editors:"We've all missed Kate during her absence from her blog. But now that the kids are settled in at school, Kate's back at the keyboard."
With this in mind, we can probably assume that the reality TV was not away from writing (or filming) due to the network deciding to go in another direction -- rather, she was trying to get into a new sort of lifestyle with her kids gone at school for the full day. The blog itself is actually rather timid, as Kate talks about how difficult it is to get eight children ready for school every single morning. Not only that, but she touches on her plans to run a marathon at some point in the near future.Finally, let's close with this thought -- if TLC was ready to kick Kate to the curb, would they really have her write a new blog for their website? Are you happy that Kate is still sticking around?

  1. It's amazing that Kate cannot take a few weeks off without the rumors flying. One rag plants a story, all the rest cite that one, and suddenly by repetition, it is supposed to become the truth? It's just silly.

  2. For those that only read my articles or don't know we have comments, I wanted to put that up there to ease everyone's minds.

    Did you read my other posts? Helped my mom make the garlic toast and the spaghetti tonight. Baby steps Linda ;)

  3. I forgot to also add the the photo of Jon with the Twins a year ago makes me laugh. A year ago he got to sit on the stoop. Now.. well not so much. It's hard to even think back a year ago at this time how crazy it was in that household and the fact that I was typing so much from all the hourly news my hands hurt.

    Time flies so quickly, and my little one literally grew up with mommy typing her blog. sigh

  4. Fantastic fresh paper Baby Mama. It is hard to believe that a year has gone by. Yikes that means my little one will be 4 in a month. Ugh. They grow so fast. I hope the twins birthday was fun for them and stress free. They deserve it.

  5. Good Morning All! Love the fresh paper Baby Mama, it's what we had last night too!

    I'm still hanging onto the hope that Kate has a book in the works.

  6. Good morning everyone! This is the most quiet any of the Gosselin kids have celebrated their birthday. Normally RadarOnline would have some huge scoop, and poor Chris Watts is probably catching a cold sleeping in the trenches.

    What do you think Kate did for the girls for their birthday? Do you think it's odd that no one has seen them since Thursday? And lets face it, no one actually saw them either, Jon Tweeted about it and Radar changed their photo when people saw it was from a year ago..I don't know, I haven't seen it this quiet in Gosselin land on a long time. Probably since Kate came back with the big announcement for Dancing With the Stars.

    So who thinks she is coming back with big news??

  7. I sure hope she is coming back with big news. :) And I'm just itching to hear about the girls' birthday party. If they didn't go somewhere special, then I hope they had friends and relatives over for a great birthday bash where they were the center of attention and had a very special day to remember.

  8. Good Morning everyone & Welcome Maya, Sam and Sarah's Mom! Hope you will find this to be a great place to come when you want a break from running after your twins. lol I can relate, I have a pair myself as well as 2 older girls. Since I don't get out of the house much, this is a great way to socialize. :)

    So, I don't mean to get apple pie on the spaghetti paper but I didn't have a chance to reply to a couple of things last night so I just want to tie that up and then it's back to yummy spaghetti! I promise it will be a very small slice of pie ;).

    Corrina - about my sil's bro that was shot; everyone kept asking him why on earth he would run after the theives and he said that at that moment, all he thought about was all his hard work going down the drain and he acted before thinking. I guess once the adrenaline gets going, sometimes you can't stop it. Thank God he's ok.

    Linda O - I had no idea you could get emails sent to you saying where they had been on the internet. I really need to learn how to do that because so far I am just sitting over her shoulder every time she needs to do homework online. Thank goodness it is not yet that frequent otherwise I'd be sitting there all night, every night.

    Crafty Mom - I am really flattered, thank you. Honestly though a lot goes into my posts. Sometimes I end up deleting what I wrote or parts of it several times before liking the end result so I'm glad it comes across well here. I enjoy everyone's posts here too. What a difference from the inarticulates that frequent the hate sites. I swear, the one time I went there long ago to see what the fuss was about was enough to traumatize me. To this day, I can't get over the rude, crass way they talk. **shudder**

    On that note, BM, don't even dignify those trolls with a puff of your breath. They totally don't deserve it. I swear if you were the most perfect person on earth they would say you were the devil. You will never get a decent comment out of them because well... that's just the way ignorance is!!

    Alright enough apple pie!

    I have to go and get ready for Thanksgiving tomorrow. I'll try to be back later for some spaghetti. lol Have a great day everyone!

  9. another mom--I know what you mean about editing your posts. Some of mine start out 3 paragraphs and end up being two short sentences. :) It's crazy, the negative things people will say about Kate. I make an effort to look for the good things to talk/think about because there's no point in harping on things you can't change.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

  10. Good evening everyone! Looks like we were all out enjoying the cool day. I'ts always a challenge for me to get around the city when I have things to do with my family in tow. My little one drove me CRAZY today. For real. Potty training has been a nightmare and I walk around like I'm packed to go on vacation...

    That being said, today poor Chris Watts had to wake up spilling the coffee and the doughnut from his mouth and start reving the Buick Century because there is A KATE SPOTTING! That is right! And since he has been told by his bosses to be the ONLY one to get Kate photos, lets see what RadarOnline has in store for us today! FYI: Kate looks fantastic as usual! Isn't looking great the best revenge??

    "Kate Gosselin was back in her weekend groove Sunday. With her ex-husband Jon on parenting duty, the mom of eight went for a tan, stopped at Starbucks for a coffee and her favorite FedEx store to deal with some packages.

    Looking fit and firm in jeans and a purple top, Kate has never looked more fabulous. On Friday she took to her TLC blog to write about the trials and tribulations of getting all eight kids off to school. Kate's next series for TLC will be Twist of Kate, which will focus more on her as a single working woman than on her life as a mom."

    PSST...anyone want to send me some leftovers? ;)

  12. Those girls are getting so big! I am thrilled to see pictures. I don't watch the show at all anymore. I'm too busy. I have 2 shows I watch, Kate doesn't hit that priority anymore. However, I love to hear about her and the kids, just not the drama. I'm glad that is waning a little bit. Thanks for the update.

  13. It looks like her purse (wallet??) is floating in the air and she is reaching out to catch it. LOL

  14. Cindy miss you girl! Well Kate wont be on till November so you haven't missed anything! Regardless we hope you come and say hi more. I miss speaking to you! Did you hear the radio show yet??

    Tiggerfan~ I thought the same thing..so funny. I actually bought that shirt since I love the color and it was funny to see her in it. I love that wristlet too! Someones gonna have to tell me who makes it. Sigh, times like that I really miss Gosselin Garb!

  15. Wow, I hope everybody had as much fun today as we did. Just got home from seeing Secretariat. Our kids talked all the way home about integrity and having the courage to stand up for your beliefs against all odds.
    -------
    Baby Mama, I miss Gosselin Garb also. Here's wishing her success, happiness, and peace in any future directions she ventures. What a nice person she is.

  16. Mmm, we left pumpkin butter cooking in the crackpot while we were out today and now, at bedtime, the house smells so delicious I just want to stay up and eat! I love fall! (Okay, I know I say that every season, lol.)

    Maybe on a slow weekend Baby Mama will let us do recipes again. We could do our favorite recipes we wish we could share with the Gosselins.

    ----------

    Did anybody notice that in the ROL story it said that: Sunday since kids were with Jon, Kate did...and one of the things listed was going to the FedEx store? Our FedEx stores are never open on Sundays. Are they open in PA?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Corrina - Another laugh, lol. This gizmo does not allow me to type c r o c k p o t. It changes it to crackpot. So funny. I had a huge laugh over that. No biggy, it'll give the haters something else to copy, paste, and make fun of.

  18. Linda, sometimes on the iphone when it starts to show you the word it wants to change to, if you click on the little x it leaves you alone not foolproof, but sometimes helps. That spellchecker is something else though.
    Funny how we were talking about kids losing chargers and electronics, tonight we had dinner at a relative's house and their 16 year old daughter was having a royal tantrum because she couldn't find her charger and her whole life is in her phone including her homework and everybody's phone number. It was soo bad we wanted to just leave.
    I have seen Radar get Saturday and Sunday mixed up before, so maybe Kate went to Fed Ex yesterday.

    i was wondering if maybe tlc filmed a huge party for the twins somewhere to air later...like they did for the little kids. maybe that's why we didn't hear anything. it was a while after discovery cove before anyone knew. and then a while after that that it aired.

    tlc did say they had to film sporadically now that they were all in school full-time...would also explain why jon had the kids thursday.

    OR kate could have had a party somewhere else for them and invited their friends...could have had a party at her parents even...we wouldn't necessarily have seen anything like that either.

    i just think kate is settling down to a different kind of filming schedule and a different kind of home life since she isn't 8working* other things like dwts or anything...and also getting a schedule down for the kids school homework etc. i cannot imagine having to deal with 8 kids homework, baths, etc...e.v.e.r.y night. lol

  20. Kimmie - as per your last paragraph, why are you being so sympathetic towards Kate? Your post on InfDaily say she is a loser and her 15 Min. are up, and also soooooo much more.
    I think LO and BM are aware of who you are but I was not. Just saying!

  21. Linda - Please send me your e-mail address, I have a few new Q's for you. tx

    Happy Thankgiving to all you Canucks out there! I hope thats not an insulting word, I don't think so.

    Another Canadian tradition that I think is a great idea is Boxing Day. The day after Christmas is a Holiday and they do not have to get up and go to work. Yippee! That was one day that I always put in for a vacation and refused to work. I wanted to stay home and in my PJs to play with my kids and all their toys. It was always enjoyed by the 3 of us and they had my full attention.

  22. Linda--I laughed at crackpot-but I knew what you meant. It adds "spice" to your posts. :)

  24. Ugh good morning everyone! I had this great long post that took me forever to do because I'm on my iPhone. Needless to say it changed all my words and when I went to post it, it went to another page and I lost it!

    So I will quickly welcome Kate & Kimmie! Let's all remember that several new commenters are not even aware that their screen names are used in other sites. So I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. This had happened already a few times on our site.. So much so that poor Linda had to now be known as "Linda Original"! And speaking of Linda and I, all our kids are home today. It's like a zoo by me but I will still be popping in and out today. We are actually off to go out to lunch, and I cannot deal with this phone anymore. I promise to be back later!

    Does anyone know if Kates kids have school today if they are in private school? I hope she's having a great day if they ate all home too! :)

  25. #1Caregiver -There is more than one Kimmie, kimmie, and Kimmy. Unfortunately, one of the not nice one posts at a hate blog and other places. You can even use more than one of the same name on the same blog (the reason I had to change my screen name and avatar.) Some of these haters even use the better known screen names from here and go to other blogs and post nasty things hoping that people will think it is us. A sad commentary on their warped and sick minds. Did you know that when you were away, one of them used your screen name and posted some very vile things here? Fortunately it was in the middle of the night and moderation was on so it could be deleted.

    ReplyDelete
  26. #1Caregiver - The email for the blog for Baby Mama is jonkatefanpage@gmail.com
    She makes all decisions on positions taken, content, direction, etc. I can moderate if she is on vacation as far as putting up an interim post. I can delete offensive posts. I'd compare it as: If she's the blog's Mama, I'm a nanny or babysitter, eg temporary help.

    I can help some with trying to track down blogger error messages or minor computer problems, but again I don't make blog decisions.

    Once our discussions here were on biographies. Because I have experience there, I offered to email a set of PDF instructions/help that our company put out to help folks that want to do it themselves or don't want the expense of a professional.

    (Some of us trade recipes also.)

    So if I can help with computer issues, biographies, or recipes, I'd enjoy hearing from you. If it's questions about blog content, direction, or position, please email Baby Mama.

  27. #1CG – I didn’t know that Boxing Day wasn’t a national holiday for the US.

    Another thing we do on Boxing Day is get up at 5:00 am, stand in line outside of the Box stores (Future Shop, Walmart, Michaels) and wait for the Boxing Day sales to start at 7:00 am (some are earlier, some are later). Then you get home by 11:00 am, have a turkey sandwich lunch and nap all afternoon. 

    ReplyDelete
  28. fascinated and #1CG--The day after Thanksgiving here is called Black Friday. We go Christmas Shopping--stores open early and have specials. It's not an official holiday but lots of people have Thurs and Fri off for Thanksgiving which is the 4th Thursday in November. Some stores open as early as midnight. Retailers hope to be in the "black" ie turning a profit. It marks
    the beginning of Christmas shopping.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Wait! I'm laughing at lunch over the discussion on Boxing Day. Wasn't it a day to remeber people that fight and Box in the ring? lol So confused. Or is it a shopping Day. I'm in the process of looking this up via Goggle and figuring it all out ;)

    And Corrina is right. I am up at 7am, my husband watches the kids. Via Wikipedia: "In Canada,New Zealand, the United Kingdom and some states of Australia,[16] Boxing Day is primarily known as a shopping holiday, much as the United States treats the day after Thanksgiving".

    And in related news.. the Maches, the coupls that didn't want to become the next Jon & Kate pretty much did exactly that. With one difference, which is neither wants to do the show even separately. As per RadarOnline:
    “Both Bryan and Jennifer rejected the chance to film the separate interviews because they just did not feel it was appropriate."

    “They are in the process of getting more of their belongings flown back from Florida and Jennifer has started a new job in Flagstaff, Arizona.”

    ReplyDelete
  30. I have to also say something important thats pissing me off. The hates sites are now literally making fools of themselves and scraping the bottom of the barrel. Today they are attacking how fabulous Kate looks by saying one of her big toes are sticking out and it looks nasty. Could you beleive it? Thats all you have to talk about when you see an amazing photo of her. Is that all you got??

    Now it's all about what she does while her kids are in school. First off "LYNN" she can do whatever the heck she wants. If she wants to get her nails done or tan thats great. I do the same thing. It's not her fault that Chris sleeps in his car as his job and followers her everywhere. Why do you have such an issue with what she does with her life? Why are you so obviously jealous? If you don't like the photos don't look or constantly comment about them. You and the other "BITTER PARTY OF 1" need to take a deep breath. You all are truly not happy unless you are attacking Kate. Please get over the fact that she is a celebrity now, and gets photographed doing the things SHE likes to do. If you are not happy with that then ohh STOP TALKING ABOUT HER AND GET OFF THE HATE SITES.

    Whew thank you. She called me out on another site as "ohh Baby Mama lets hear your response to that.". I would never post on any of those sites but I'm a bit sick of people calling me out over there. But feel free to send your nasty snark to jonkatefanpage@gmail.com, and I will respond to you immedaitely......

  31. Boxing Day wasn't always a shopping day. When I was younger nothing was open. Not even 7-11. Then slowly everthing starting opening on that day and then the sales started happening.

    I think Black Friday is a way better idea. I find it really hard to spend more money after buying so much for Christmas. But the deals are soooo good. LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Baby Mama - People who are so driven to hate somebody from tv, IMO don't have the ability to turn off that vile and bile. Life is too short to spend it dwelling on somebody they don't know who makes them so angry. Can you imagine how awful it would be to live near one of those haters? Or worse, one of the foul-mouthed haters. Can you imagine how miserable they make all those around them! Or when their children or grands have anger management problems? Or, are they so mixed up they choose to willingly spend so much time being miserable?

    ReplyDelete
  33. I think one of the reasons that the negative media about Kate continue to show her tanning, running errands, and getting her nails done is to perpetuate the image that she is superficial and self-serving. If they showed Kate standing there waiting to pick up the kids, grocery shopping and at home cleaning the house and preparing the meals then we would be led to believe that she cares about her family. There is no story on the day-to-day selflessness that goes on.

    Stay in the light Baba Mama, stay in the good light. Don’t let the bad hater sites drag you down. : )

    ReplyDelete
  34. fascinated - the day after Christmas is a huge sale and shopping day here also. For me, by then I'm too tired to wade through the crowds and I've already spent all the shopping money, lol.

    yeah i posted at sageway about that last week! someone posted a link to inf and i read the comments and 'bout had a come-apart! while i don't love kate and agree with everything she does, i definitely do not hate her and i honestly cannot believe the hate this woman has had to endure.

  37. Linda--I have only gone shopping once the day after Christmas. The lines were so long at the checkout that I questioned if the deals were worth it. Now I might go a day or two later and there still are some good buys.

    As for the haters--Imagine if you had nothing better to talk about than a big toe of someone you don't even know. Good Grief!!

  38. Fascinated~ It's very hard to always remain in the positive and be the only site that doesn't attack. Unfortunately every once in a while I blow my stack at something I read. It's always about me and it's always somewhere else baiting me and making comments that piss me off.

    Every once in a while, I need to vent and then I feel better. I'm sorry that you sometimes have to see that negative side of me. I tried to expalin it to my daughrter once when we met Kate in person and she was speaking to my daughter. She was wondering why people ever made not nice comments about a lady so sweet.

    I later said it's kind of like constantly seeing your friend being bullied and you step in to support them and set the record straight. I told her mommy sometimes has alot of bullies she needs to set straight. lol

  43. Apparently she put up a You Tube John Wayne video with Mady in it and someone was dead on the floor with a Kate Gosselin monologue. It was vile and completely void of taste. 4 people total posted with one saying they didn't get it.

    The only thing I can say is that it shows the kind of trash they have on that site. I get upset seeing the things they say, and this is another example of going and taking things to far. You never ever involve children in a violent video, no less putting on your site.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Goes to show how low some people will go. If they hate her so much why are they wasting an ounce of time on her? Example: I can not stomach Tom Cruise anymore. His dead eyes creep me out. Do I actively go looking for like minded people? No. Because I don't care and I have a life and kids to take care of. What do I do? I flip past him in the magazines. I don't see his movies unless it has some one else I like in it. This is actually the first time I've ever typed anything about him. These people are seriously a new batch of crazy I never knew existed. Who has that much time on their hands?? Seriously. I want to know! LOL I want to get their secret so I can use it for good.

    ReplyDelete
  45. i didn't watch the video...just couldn't bring myself to. but it has earned her many pats on the back from her followers. they think it's academy award winning.

    it has also earned her the disgust of many others who find it horrible.

    but i tell ya what...it crosses a line for sure.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Sorry if anyone else likes him, I don't, but I know others who do and was just using him as an example. LOL my point is TURN the page, CHANGE the channel and just LET IT GO!

    ReplyDelete
  47. i have read several posts on 15 minutes from those who think they need to stop discussing kate. some do think it's furthering her popularity by blogging about her...even negatively. it sure is.

    can you imagine how all the blogging about where is kate...all the hits on tlc looking for her shows must have been seen by tlc? oh yeah...they are adding to her popularity and they don't even realize it.

    ReplyDelete
  48. ITA kimmie but they think they are "spreading awareness". Of what I don't know....educating us on what happens if some one has too much time on their hands and a computer?

    ReplyDelete
  49. That junk and the people who support it are no friend to children. I've been saying that for a long time. It's this idiocy that created such hostility. When will people realize that supporters there cannot call themselves supporters of the Gosselin children? That kind of garbage is why I fell out with some here. And this is the blog that Ellen supports the blog owner? When will sanity prevail against hate and jealousy? I hope to heck that when Kate returns to court in November, this is played for the judge as but one example of what she has to face!

    ReplyDelete
  50. I didn't know you guys don't get Boxing Day as a stat holiday! Bummer..although I never get to the sales either.

    All the $ has been spent & I'm approaching the buyers remorse stage..when I'm trying to find places for the new stuff.

    Black Friday sounds awsome..there is nothing more frustrating for me than going into a store the days after Christmas and seeing things 1/2 off or less.Grrrr

    Thanks for all the great advice ladies! Linda, I'll be contacting you when we get a new one(when we decide) for that app. Now, do they have those for Blackberrys?

    I want to awe my husband with the knowledge & wisdom I can get from blogging..hee hee!

    Gee, sounds like the mods at GWOP should send you some flowers Baby Mama:) or at the very least a basket of mini muffins. Take it as a compliment..they are just that into you. I wonder if they'll blow up pictures of your toes?

  54. After a busy day with kids home, it's a busy day today with the other parts of life just like for all the rest of you, lol.
    -----
    I'm still just in shock from the video, that blog again, and how any one could find it appropriate, funny, or entertaining. For a long time I have questioned the purpose of not only that blog but also people who support her. Perhaps now more people will realize that it has nothing to do with safeguarding children in reality tv and everything to do with one person's dementia and hate against somebody they don't even know. It frightens me. It frightens me more to think of the other warped people she inspires to do who know what. I pray that harm comes to none of the Gosselins. To me, that junk spouted is akin to people who yell "Fire!" in a crowded theater because they think it is funny to see people panic and run.

    It's like one more example of somebody who wants to claim legal knowledge (or being married to an attorney) so they feel empowered to act against others using their "freedoms" This isn't exercising a "freedom" but a sick abuse of innocent people with a deliberate and malicious intent to harm. I'd go a another step and say it is beyond sad how others get sucked into believing that crap by associating with those people.

  55. Baby Mama - Switching subjects, I adore the photo of the kids on the sofa dressed as Halloween pumpkins. We had similar pumpkin costumes when ours were babies. There is something just so cuddly and cute about that age and those costumes. Thanks for making my day with that photo of Kate's from the past!

  56. Emails - I did receive several more emails about the blogger 503 error again in today's mailbox. While we will continue to work on this, mostly it's beyond our control. Please continue to use your back and forward arrows.

  58. Great link Par. I wasn't aware of this service. I will definitely be passing it along to others.

  59. Just so you know.................I do not have a nasty snark and I could care less what Kate does during the day as long as she keeps her children off tv and allows them a childhood out of the public eye. These children are not old enough to consent to be filmed and deserve that consideration. Plain and simple. I am not jealous of Kate and wish her all the success in the world ON HER OWN. I have a successful business, four successful children and a 14+ year old dog that my husband and I gave to the kids for Christmas and did not return to the breeder. He still loves to chase the deer in our woods. Just so you understand, this is a free country and people are permitted to have differing opinions. Plain and simple.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Par - Thanks for posting the link (I can't copy and paste into the blog.)

    I also contacted the consumer relations department at TLC. They have been supportive of the Gosselins safety and I hope they are being vigilant now.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Goo idea because they used clips from TLC. Isn't that a copyright violation?

    ReplyDelete
  62. Lynn - WTH does wanting THESE particular children off tv have to do with taking THESE same children and stealing their likenesses and portraying them in a video clip committing violent acts? If you believe that children should not be on tv, or movies, or whatever, then I suggest that:
    1. You stop immediately participating in blogs and forums about these children (loss of viewership at the rags would go a looonnnggg way!)
    2. Change the channel. (see #1)
    Perhaps a third step would be to acknowledge and accept that you have a fascination with these particular children and not with kids on reality tv in general.
    Additionally, this same group has a fascination with anything derogatory about Kate in general, pretty much not wanting to succeed in anything other than 12 hour shifts as a nurse.
    IMO, even then, I think there would be derogatory remarks.
    You are entitled to your views. You do not necessarily have the right to feel you are entitled to publication of them wherever you choose. There are many places where you can express those opinions. This is a fan site; perhaps you were confused?

    ReplyDelete
  63. I strongly support a parent's right to choose. IMO, they know their children.

    ReplyDelete
  64. LindaO - I also support a parent's right to choose. I will never understand why these people think they have the right to tell another parent what to do with their children. Will they ever understand they can only make decisions for their children and no one else’s?

    my2girls - You are right. K8 does ROCK!

  65. Lynn~ Everyone is entitled to their opinion. However, why call me out on a hate blog if you read here? Why not ask me here or e-mail me? I did that for a reason and it obviously worked. Next time if you want to ask me what I think about something, by all means ask me on my turf and not pass the snark elsewhere. Thanks

    Linda~ My whole MO is a parents right to raise her kids how she sees fit, and not tolerate blogs that attack them for doing so.

    And now Good Morning Everyone! Today is a busy working day for me. The weather is not so great, but after the mess of having the kids home yesterday I am kind of happy to be out if that makes any sense. That being said, the UK Daily Mail is getting an overwhelming response from the fans that LOVE Kate Plus 8 over in the UK. The fact that the show is now international must be making her head spin. They love it there!

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Exactly, so why dont you let Kate have hers and raise her children as she sees fit and you worry about your own life. Your being hypicritical by even making that statement, as in making a fool of yourself.
  67. Such a cute picture of the little ones as pumpkins. What adorable little pumpkins they were. Gosh, they grow up so fast. That picture makes me smile.
    Busy day here at work as well and then soccer later. Hope everyone has a good day!!
    Yayy for Kate plus 8 in the UK!! Woohooo
  69. Hello everyone! Thanks for all the T-day wishes and I hope my fellow Canucks had a great Thanksgiving too. Btw, canuck is not a derogatory term. lol I was busy and can barely move today as we had 20+ people over. Since my daughter's birthday is on Friday, we also decided to have her family birthday at the same time since everyone was gathered in the same place. Lots of fun, but I'm pooped!
    So, I was reading back over what I missed and just for the record, if anyone EVER sees my name on a hate site posting something vile, it is NOT, NOT, NOT me! Can I stress that enough? lol Not that I am that "big" of a poster but you never know what tactics they will use and of course now that I post this, someone will come up with the bright idea. But seriously, those sites are sick and vile and I can't stand even going there let alone posting. And that video is nasty and sick. Who would do something like that especially to the kids? Yuck! 'Nuff said!
    lol about the boxing day stuff. Yes, we do have a day off after Christmas but to be honest, I am usually too afraid to venture out on those days. It is SO crazy and I hate lineups. I hate the idea of standing in line for 10 hours and then getting to the front only to have them run out of whatever. In recent years, I have found that the weeks after Christmas are usually just as marked down as boxing "day" so I don't sweat it. One good thing is that in my culture, Christmas is celebrated on January 6th (by the Orthodox) so all my husband's side exchange gifts after Christmas. That means I can do Christmas shopping for them after the holidays when everything is on sale. Yay. Only thing is you have to fight the crowds but I usually make a list and get it all done in one day. Oh, and Fascinated, do you remember the days waaaay back when there was no Sunday shopping? I think I was barely a teenager then and I actually remember when malls started opening on Sundays only for a few hours and now I can't ever imagine not having the stores open all the time.
    ReplyDelete
  70. another mom--I remember when stores here in the US were closed on Sunday--in my small town, some still are. LOL!
    ReplyDelete
  71. Corrina - Stores are still pretty much closed on Subdays in my town, except for the mall stores and the larger box chain stores. Also, liquor and wine not sold on Sundays (but beer is - go figure!)
    ReplyDelete
  72. Hey Linda, what is subday?? LOL I had to kid about this typo. Just sounds too funny. Like Subday is the day you go to Subway and buy subs. YUM!!
    ReplyDelete
  73. Tigger - too funny. I got a new iPhone and you have to teach the stupid thing words all over again. Drives me bananas. Since I can't yet go up and down stairs to the computers I'm stuck with it. (guess I should be thankful I have something to call for help, huh?) And confession, time, it would probably help if I either put in my contacts or wore my glasses. We divas are just so vain though, lol.
    ReplyDelete
  74. oh I remember no shopping on Sundays Another mom and the no liquor but beer Linda O.
    In our town, the WalMart and Superstore (grocery) are now open 24 hours leading up to Christmas. I thought this was a great idea. Our town consists of a lot of shift workers and the stores have stockers all night, why not bring in a cashier or two. It is fantastic to go and get your groceries or Christmas shopping after everyone is in bed and the stores are a lot quieter. It also increases employment rates for a short period.
    ReplyDelete
  75. Lol, I guess we all remember those no Sunday days. Currently though, everything is open where I live. Liquor, malls, small stores. There are very few things that are closed now.
    Also, yes, around the holidays many stores are open extended hours. Walmart is open till 11pm every night and I think 24 hours just before Christmas. There is also an increase in the amount of places that don't close on hoidays. In Canada, we have Shoppers Drug Mart and now most stores are normally open till midnight. As well, they don't close on any holidays. They are just open a few less hours but they are open on all the major holidays. I love the convenience of having things open all the time but I don't like that there is no more real family day anymore. In the past, Sundays was a day families spent together even if by default of there being no where else to go. Now, it's just like any other day. Losing that is kind of sad.
    ReplyDelete
  76. Yes, I totally agree AM.
    It is interesting that, now I can wait up until the day before a holiday to do the shopping, but then on the holiday some are shopping, some are at the movies, some are working. I do grapple with the struggle between convenience versus designated family time.
    ReplyDelete
  77. Linda--Love the Subday :). Only beer on Sundays-
    hhmmm--wonder how that came about?
    Another Mom--I miss the family days too. It seems like we always had company for Sunday dinner when the stores were still closed.
    ReplyDelete
  78. I miss the old days when most things were closed on Sunday and you stayed home. I read the autobiography of the guy who founded Hobby Lobby and he discusses his decision to close stores on Sunday, I thought they always had been. He said that within a couple of months, the other days recaptured any loss in sales and people got used to coming in when it was open. But then again in the old days, we used to make due with what we had better than at least I can now.
    ReplyDelete
  79. Corrina - I suspect it's because the first area settlers were German and thus brewmeisters and not vintners but don't know for sure. You had Germans and English but no French. Strange because so much wine is grown in NC now. I know the taverns had no windows on the front so children could walk by and see fathers drinking. Amazing some customs and traditions.
  82. Good evening guys! Yes I normally do not tweet about the celebrities I meet. But yes I just took a couple of photos with Rick Springfield. He's a really great guy. He will be on The View tomorrow and was on GMA today for his book. I do get to meet alot of Reality Stars, but this was a childhood idol if my friends and I brought here there are well as helped for the evening. Linda, if you want I can send you a photo ;)
    Ok so Gosselin News is slow this week. I heard that since Jon had the Twins this past weekend Kate is doing something big for the girls this weekend? Who knows. But since I love me some Tim Gunn, style expert from Project Runway, I will post his bit: What does it mean exactly? lol Can soccer moms not be hot cougars?? The answer is heck yes!
    -- Project Runway's Tim Gunn has a few ideas on how celebs can make it work -- and isn't shy on sharing them. On Kate Gosselin, Gunn quipped, "I'm mystified. She's gone from being a soccer mom to being a cougar."
  83. Rick Springfield is great. I met him a few years ago in Boston. Sounds fun!
    When I lived in MA we had these things called the blue laws. They were the craziest laws that were written in the 1700 or 1800s in MA and they were still in effect until right before i moved. Some still are. A big one that they finally lifted was that alcohol of all kinds could not be sold on Sundays. Anywhere. Stores had to close at 4 on Sundays. Another was you weren't allowed to publicly kiss under awnings. So weird. They lifted the Sunday rules, but I don't know about the kissing. LOL
    ReplyDelete
  84. CraftyMom~ I love Boston! I haven't been there since before my first child but my husband loves it there and we may be going back this Summer. I adore Quincy Market!
    I forgot to tell you all that Kate Plus 8 is definetly back on November 14th. I know a few of you already knew that but it doesn't look like we will see anything new until then. Of course it will be before the premiere of Sarah Palin's Alaska. Since I miss Alaska so much, I will definetly be watching the full 2 hours.
    ReplyDelete
  85. If you go to Quincy Market take pictures for me? I haven't seen it since they finished the construction. My kids used to love the two story Disney store there. And all the food! I used to get the biggest fattest loaded baked potatoes there, yum! And the cannolis! Ha, mouth is watering. We haven't gone back to visit yet because I am afraid my husband won't get me back on the plane, I miss new England sooo much!!!
    ReplyDelete
  86. That's too funny about the kissing laws, CMo3! What happens if someone broke that law, did they get a fine? lol
    Baby Mama, how cool about meeting Rick Springfield. Gotta love the eighties! My favourite era.
    ReplyDelete
  87. actually yah they did get a fine if a cop was in a bad mood! LOL
  88. Or were they placed in a stockade. LOL
  89. Blogger is having issues! This is my third time trying to post the same comment.
    I was looking at the picture of the sextuplets dressed as pumpkins. It reminded me of the early episodes that I first fell in love with. Can anyone tell who is who? I can only recognize Joel and Hannah!
    ReplyDelete
  90. stockade! LOL When we visited the Plymouth plantation I did that. The creepiest was the stockades they had in Salem. They were the real ones.
    ReplyDelete
  91. DandelionGirl~ so sorry you and everyone else has had problems posting! I hope Linda and I can figure out what to do...
    And I have no idea who is who? Can anyone figure it out? I'm guessing and I know I'm wrong....1. Aiden 2. Joel 3. Collin 4. Alexis 5. Leah 6. Hannah
    ReplyDelete
  92. I would guess 1. Collin 2. Joel 3. Aiden 4. Leah 5. Alexis 6. Hannah. I really have no idea though!
    ReplyDelete
  93. CMo3 - We still have Blue Laws.
    If we all meet in Boston, I want to go shopping on Newberry St. I love those eclectic mix of stores. (I'm assuming it is still that way.)
    ReplyDelete
  94. We need to find somebody who can identify the pumpkin kids, lol. I keep telling myself it shouldn't be that hard. Although I was looking at some baby photos of ours and it is hard; together I can tell the twins apart but separate photos are harder and I'm the Mom, lol.
    ReplyDelete
  95. Good morning everyone! All I can really say is that Aaden is obviously the first and Hannah's big brown eyes shows me she is the last. The rest of them I can't figure out. (Yes I spell his name wrong alot and for some reason) Also a few people have asked me to re-post "10 little pumpkins" on here. I usually do it around Halloween, and will definetly re-post it, since that episode is actually one of my favorites!
    So the only early morning Kate Gosselin news was that The Situation was the latest to go on Dancing With The Stars and they were calling him Kate Gosselin. I can see why I guy would not be happy about people calling him a woman. At least Kate got to stick around longer than him. If you did not see Jennifer Grey's hot ass Tango, please go to my Twitter. It was smokin and the woman is amazing in her 50's. I really hope she wins.
    I will be back today with more! xoxox
  96. And for all of you that may or may not be aware, as off 11:15am EST 15 of the 33 miners have been rescued in Chile in the mine after being underground since August 5th. Only recently have they even been able to get food passed down (one can of tuna for each). Please pray today that all come up alive, for this truly will be a miracle!
  97. praise god re the miners!!!
    i think the pumpkins are
    Aaden, Joel, Collin, Alexis, Leah and Hannah--
    I studied that picture a few times before I could venture a guess..
    God bless those miners and the whole rescue crew. This is a very special day. :)
