Is The Paso Doble Kate's Best Dance? Is She Safe For Another Week? Kate's Plea: VOTE FOR ME!

ello Gosselin fans! Tonight is another nail biter on Dancing With The Stars. For those that need the site to vote on line, just click the logo on the right or the link above. You get 11 votes per e-mail.

Some troll was snarking the other day about Kate not going to church anymore.. Are you kidding me? Does your obviously old behind realize how hard it is to take ONE child to mass let alone 8? And function? What about not even being able to enjoy the sermon because people are staring at you and the press is hounding you? Why does Kate or anyone else for that matter have to go to church to be spiritual? What right do you even have to attack her other than hate and jealousy for absolutely no reason? GET A LIFE! I say this out of sheer frustration of taking my own kids to Mass yesterday after a very unsuccessful morning of trying to get them to stay with the other children while trying to enjoy family mass. You people need to stop attacking like you know better. Kate is doing just fine thanks to you...

Tony Dovolani: ‘Paso Doble Is Going To Be Kate’s Best Dance’: Access Hollywood.com: “Dancing with the Stars” pro Tony Dovolani says when it comes to partner Kate Gosselin, people ain’t seen nothing yet. “Paso Doble is going to be Kate’s best dance,” he Tweeted on Saturday. Tony Tweeted a number of happy thoughts as he and the reality mom prepared for their next performance. On Thursday, he Tweeted, “I am loving this dance,” and Friday, he added that the pair had debuted their moves to the music. We just did the dance to the music yyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeaaaaaaa bbbbbaaaaabbbbbyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!” he Tweeted.

The optimism was a far cry from the footage from last week’s rehearsals (shown on Monday’s show), which revealed a heated argument between the pair, prompting Tony to say “I quit” and walk out of the studio. He returned, however, and the twosome scored 15 out of 30 for their jive performance – one of the week’s lower scores, but enough to stay on the show for another week as Shannen Doherty was chosen as the first celeb to leave “Dancing’s” 10th season.
Kate Gosselin: I Dance 'For My Kids': Good Morning America.com
"Dancing With the Stars" contestant Kate Gosselin tearfully responded to criticism today, saying that she uses her fame to help her kids, not the other way around. "That just does me in. Any work that comes my way -- and this job [on 'Dancing'] is most cost effective," the reality star said. "If it could all go away because I was financially set and I could stay home and bake and cook from scratch, I'd like to do that. I'd so be there." Gosselin is one of three mothers in the cast of "Dancing With the Stars" this year -- Pamela Anderson and Niecy Nash being the others -- and all have had to figure out a way to balance the demanding training regime with finding time to be with their kids.
"I have eight kids, and I'm a mom and I have a very full schedule anyway," she said on "Good Morning America" in early March. "Obviously, the kids come first. It's going to be hard. I'm determined to do it." Gosselin gained fame on her TLC reality-TV show "Jon and Kate Plus Eight," which went off the air after she and husband Jon Gosselin got divorced. She commutes to and from Los Angeles for appearances on "Dancing With the Stars." When asked if she had any dancing experience before the show began, Gosselin said, "not so much," adding that she isn't worried about the notoriously grueling physical preparation for the show. "I will be dancing in the basement" while the kids are in school or asleep for the night. "That's the part I'm looking forward to," she said. "Beat my butt, because I need to do it. That part I'm not afraid of. Honestly, my mind is willing to do it. It's just making my body figure it out." After her first dance, it looked like things weren't going as smoothly as Gosselin hoped. In a television clip that aired last week, Gosselin's partner, Tony Dovolani, walked out of a rehearsal after becoming frustrated with Gosselin. Gosselin squeaked by the latest "DWTS" elimination round, edging out Shannen Doherty who was cut, but took harsh criticism from the judges.

  3. Just Wondering, I think YOU need church more than Kate and the kids right now.

  4. BabyMama; What date was the backstage at the View video from?

  5. Just Wondering - I want you to know that I think you are a vile, evil, hypocrite. I'm ready to go back to a moderated site just to get rid of you. There are many sites where you can spew and revel in your venom. But you know what? Despite my feelings for you, I still pray for you! It is so sad that you spend your life looking for hate instead of finding a way to feel better. Have you ever thought about volunteering for those less fortunate? Or, being thankful? Or, taking care of an elder person? Or, any of a number of things?

Yes, I spend time on this site. Yes, I too have a large family. Yes, I too missed church services for a year after my divorce because it was just too hard emotionally. My husband and I now volunteer at the soup kitchen with all our kids, and they have to volunteer an equal number hours to what they spend on electronic games. If only you'd spend time being happy, or doing productive things instead of spreading hate, you'd find that your life is so much more enriched than it is now.

  6. BabyMama, can you just decline any additional comments from Just Wondering? She isn't here to further conversation, just spew garbage. Thanks!

  7. Actually, Linda, (since you asked) I take foster dogs into my home on a regular basis. I have two here right now. I also care for my 91 year old mother and drive her to Mass 3 times a week, clean her house, drive her to doctor appointments, etc. Yes, my life is full of love for both animals and family.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Just wondering~ deleting your comments is just easier but I will say this. The is/was nothing wrong with asking for Love Offerings. It was made into this horrible thing like she was scamming people. As we all know this is done everyday in churches with celebrities and non-celebrities alike. An although I HATE re-hashing this for the millionth time, I need to make people aware that Jon and Kate were NOT scamming the public!

They were asked wether they would prefer a speaking fee, or if they would take whatever people gave them. They chose the latter. They relied on what people could afford and wanted to give them. They could have gotten nothing. People came because they wanted to hear them speak, and no one is obligated to even pay!

I do not want new fans of my blog to be deceived about this. Kate & Jon told their story to make money for their family. People were able to go for FREE. And their is NOTHING wrong with Love Offerings. Many of the churches in my area do it when they can't afford to pay a speaker. I still feel it's a wonderful idea, and I hope that in any instance, if people come to a church to hear someone speak, they make a donation. It's always apprecaited and in certain instances a portion goes to the church as well.

Go Kate GO! We need you on another week. Stay strong, focus, and don't show the fear! I'm here for ya girl!

  9. ITS STARTING! ACK! My nerves! Who is watching?

    ReplyDelete
  10. I am watching. Already voted under 2 emails and 3 phones. Yeah!!!! Go Kate and Tony.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I'm watching! I voted on 2 phones and told my sister too also vote for Kate!! GO KATE!!

    ReplyDelete
  12. Same phone number. I hope they have that number each week. I already did 5 of my family & friends cells. I really would be upset if Buzz was not in the bottom 2. He was horrible. It's obvious that people are keeping him in just to get Kate voted off!

    ReplyDelete
  13. I've got my votes in...I've also chewed off all my nails. Darn it, and I was hoping to get a french manicure this week for a dance I'm going attending. Oh well maybe I'll tan and get my hair done instead. A happy mommy makes a better mommy. Go Kate Go!

    ReplyDelete
  14. That should read (I'm going to attend.) Wow, I'm not a very good stage mom. I get way to nervous for the performers.:) Go Kate Go!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Got my voting done! And, I was able to do the online this week with no problems! Cell phone voting done also. Hope it goes well for Kate. Judges are tough on comments again.

    ReplyDelete
  16. holy God that sucked so hard...she's like incapable of emotion...

    ReplyDelete
  17. Ok, I am scared. She did good, but the judges just don't like her. She did her best. Congrts Kate. We are proud of you.

    ReplyDelete
  18. No I disagree, I thought she did much better. In fact, I think this is the best she has done thus far. (Walking aside lol) Tony once again did a fantastic job. I'm so mad again she got a 15. So we gotta vote!

    ReplyDelete
  19. I am not going to vote because I can't honestly vote for that performance.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Kate can't dance. She has zero rhythm. I'm sorry, that isn't nerves, it's lack of skill.
I wish she's stop embarrassing herself and go home to her kids. The judges were generous with those scores.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I think she did good. I did not like her outfit. But I have in my 50 votes. LOL!!! My hubby said "Don't worry Kate, my wife and her friends will keep you there." Gotta love those husbands.

I do think the judges are very harsh on her.

    ReplyDelete
  22. She isn't a dancer. But I think she did much better this week!! She did better than Buzz. And you are voting for the person! Not necessarily voting for the dancers. I thought people knew that, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I wish no one would vote for her, honestly. She can't dance.
I am a fan of DWTS, but when contestants like Kate and Buzz make it past the first elimination??? Unfortunately, DWTS has become a popularity contest. What a shame.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I thought Kate danced better this week than last! I need to watch it on youtube a few more times though.
I voted with as many family email addresses as I could! :)
Let's hope she stays on and is NOT in the bottom two !!!
As for Nicole... I just don't think she should be on the show... she IS a dancer and that shouldn't be acceptable!
    GO KATE!!!

P.S. I miss all of the kids! I need a 1 hour special with Jon Kate and the kids! :)

    ReplyDelete
  25. Raeme - lol I think it has always been that way. At least until close to the end. But you get to vote as you wish, and you should. Or not vote, as you choose. Or get a snack while Kate dances. I'm just so doggone proud of her for trying.

You've got guts, Kate. Just keep trying.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Linda- Your right. I wish the people that keep trashing her, would get there big butts up in fronts of 10 million people and dance. I wonder if they are great dancers? LOL :)

Another thing that irks me is "go home to your kids", she is working.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Of course it's a popularity contest. Many of the runner-ups were robbed because the most votes wins.. To this day I think MelB. was robbed. She and Joey Fatone were amazing!

American Idol is about the votes and I can tell you some beat box kid should not have been up against Jordan Spraks ect.. Of course Kate is popular. Why is Buzz not up for elimination? He was worse than Kate. I feel she is improving each week. Much better!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Shelly, she doesn't need to do this show! She and Jon are still under contract with TLC and are receiving their paychecks. Her book will be out in a week. She does not need to humiliate herself this way!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Just Wondering-Well thank God it's a free country and she can do what she wants.

Just because she has some money does not mean she has to sit on her couch. Because, then people like you will bitch cause she is not working. It does not matter what she does, people like you have nothing better to do then shred others.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I think she improved...a little....I cast my votes- and actually got through with my votes, but the online votes only allowed 10 tonight instead of 11????

Anyway, I'd like to see another week, maybe another teensy bit of improvement...but I won't be surprised if she's gone...

    ReplyDelete
  31. Lol, if we send everybody on DWTS who has kids home, who the heck would be left dancing! Let's see, the co-host is pregnant with baby #4, and I could go cast member by member. That "go home to kids" is a stupid comment unless you apply it to all. Kate is bringing in money, just like every single dancer there.

Yep, Kate has fans. Fans vote with their hearts. That's just the way it is.

And the dumb church comment? When you are divorced, sometimes it's just painful for a time. Let's give the woman a break. She can speak to God anywhere, not just in church. Maybe it's different where the sainted naysayers live? Our Sunday School does not happen at same time as worship service. I understand her pain. It took me a while. Even after 11 years happily married to current hubby, some hymns even today bring back memories and I burst into tears. May I suggest that you pray for her instead of condemning her? She, Jon, and all the kids need that. I'm still convinced that prayer and love do a lot more for people than hating them.

ABC is in the business of making money. They chose Kate because they wanted her.

She may be gone after tomorrow, but I'm glad to have gotten glimpses of her for three weeks. Go Kate!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Could we PLEASE stop responding to the haters? Defending your position vs. theirs will get us no where. They are writing to incite you. It's not worth your time. Let's just concentrate on posting positive or constructive feedback for Kate and the family. Ignore the haters. If you read what they write, just move on.........PLEASE.

And I would be happy if she turned the moderation back on..........

    ReplyDelete
  33. I hope she's at least having a little bit of fun! Regardless she will have the last laugh, when she's cashing her cheque. I hope she spends a little bit on herself as a reward for all her hardwork! P.S So when we ignore it, it turns into a 2 headed beast and returns with a new name???

    ReplyDelete
  34. Wow! I just realized something.. I love to use the delete button!

Ok, so she went from Tony pushing her around in a cart to walking.. Next week, we will see her run! then leap! And then she will really be dancing! It's all how you look at things. I prefer the glass half full. And yes Momsby, Kate IS having the last laugh. Hopefully this will help her book sales..

    ReplyDelete
  35. I got home in time to see Kate. I really hoped for more based on Tony's tweets, but at the same time I saw what I expected to see. It was tough to watch. She is just not a dancer, and that is O K. I will still root for her and vote for her.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I'm sorry but she only danced about five steps. She did get her leg up higher this time but even then Tony held it up. She pretty much walked everything. She didn't relay anger in her body, only in her glaring eyes. I thought it was worse than last week. I don't think she deserved her scores... in my opinion 5s were too high. I think the female judge was right. I also think Kate will get enough votes to keep her there another week. I'm surprised Tony seemed to think they did well. Kate didn't seem nervous but that's about the only improvement. IMO.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I really pray the children didn't see and hear tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  38. OMG, The war of words has begun, or shall I say still goes on. Here's my take on Tony & Kate, after tonights' dance.

    1. Kates' costume didn't fit right Like she missed her final fitting. Too loose around the abdomen in front and that black stripe across her middle made it look worse. JMO
It gave her a bloated look.

    2. She had the facial mood right and expressions were good, but one of the judges got it right. She didn't do any steps Walking is not dancing. I can't believe Tony left her with that routine. The only explanation I can think of is that he got her concentrating on the character and mood of the dance and not on legs and feet. I worked! She didn't show her nerves!

    3. Good choice of songs! I thought everyone was kidding when you ladies said it was going to be paparatzi by Lady Ga-Ga!

All & all I am leaning towards saying that tonight was better then last but not the first week. ???????? It takes alot of guts to go out there.

If I am not mistaken, Just Wondering, J&Ks contract was done in Feb. 2010 and they can't call up their options. I do believe Kate still gets a check from TLC, but Jon doesn't.
Kate has filming for TLC. Jon's hands and mouth have been sealed. That's why you don't see him.

    ReplyDelete
  39. SG - hey, she also pointed her toes tonight. That's one kind of improvement. She did seem more relaxed, so I guess that's an improvement, lol. The woman can't be accused of lying when she said she couldn't dance. She's trying, and I think giving her all. Can she compete against a professional dancer? Not without years more training. But, at least she looked like it was a wee bit more fun.

Kate, I give you A for effort. You got my votes. Glad I don't have to score the technique. She was honest when she said the reason she was there was due to fans. Just like Buzz is there for the same reason.

    ReplyDelete
  40. It was really touching the way Tony supported her. It is like he finally seems to get her. I agree with BabyMama about how she walks now when last time she was pushed. I liked the drama in Kates dance. I could really feel it. I loved seeing the basement with toys and such it would be neat if they would do a little interview with them about watching mom dance. I don't think her duties withthe kids are affecting her practice schedule but I think the interviews and such are. She has my support 100%. My Mom used to not be much of a Kate person but the way that Kate has held herself through this last year has really changed her mind.

    ReplyDelete
  41. This is a very cost affective job for Kate, like she said. More time to spend with the kids, and not at a 40 hour a week job all year round.
Kate will be doing the two step jive, and laughing all the way to the bank. Her fans will keep her in longer then we think. People are going to be surprised!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Oh yes Jon is getting a paycheck. He sold out to TLC. They pay him and he keeps his mouth shut and remains under contract. They specifically said that the entire Gosselin family is still under contract. That's how Jon is able to pay support. If he wasn't we would have heard all about it, don't you think?

    ReplyDelete
  43. So yeah, it wasn't amazing, or even great, BUT, she did improve, both in the nerves department and in the acting part. Truth is, she isn't a dancer nor is she an actor. And I loved that they brought in an acting coach. I just thought it was helpful to her to have some additional direction in that area.

She is clearly working hard and improving, little by little. And honestly, if she were to get sent home now, she would have nothing to be ashamed of. She tried and improved.

    ReplyDelete
  44. She is clearly working hard and improving, little by little. And honestly, if she were to get sent home now, she would have nothing to be ashamed of. She tried and improved.
    Wildchild...well said, I agree! :)

  45. JW - The contract restrains them from working in the TV related business that competes with The Discovery Health Channels, they are the parent co., for 6 months after the contract ended in Feb. 2010. UNLESS, they have written permission from them. Kate got that permission. You won't see Jon in anything until August or later. Maybe not even the kids. You don't know what he settled for in the breach of contract suit, unless your Jon. Are you?

    ReplyDelete
  46. Yes, hopefully she gets enough votes to last another week! Regardless of her dance skills she is getting slightly better each week!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Come on people should we really be talking about someones money??? It's none of anyone's buisness on how much a person makes or how they make it as long as the person makes the income that legal. I also think its funny that everyone talks about the working Mom's. That Mom's that are not home taking care of thier family. What about the Dad's. This is the 21st century not the 20th century. To live decently it takes 2 incomes, or one decent income. Who cares if Kate has a book coming out. She still has to take care of 8 children! I have 1 child that costs me an arm and a leg, and demands so much time I can't imagine having 8, 6 of which that are the same age. She is a single Mom raising 8 children alone. Jon is only there when he isn't off with younger girls. I don't think anyone has the right to talk about how someone decides to make thier money, and its not fair to gawk at what people drive, the size home they have, clothes they wear, or anything else.
Also, as far as going to church. IMO as long as you have a Christ-like heart and keep Christ in your heart and family you don't need to go to church every Sunday. I was raised in a very religous household and it takes a lot for me to say that, because I completly believe it!
Now for the reason I logged onto this website after watching DWTS is to support Kate! The dance was much better than the past. Yes, she did a lot of walking but it doesnt seem like she has learned the "jazz walk" yet. She is really progressing and giving it her all. I did not like the skirt but I enjoyed most of the dance. I think she should have gotten a higher score I would have given her a 6 and thats what I expected to see. Kate just learn to jazz walk!!! I did 40 votes this week! Keep going Kate your doing amazing.

PS... Ive been thinking about this all week... I must be a horrible Mom because I go to work at 4pm- 4 days a week and my daughter stays home with my husband and she eats mac and cheese, pizza, left overs, and bagged dinners. Kate is totally amazing, she makes sure her kids are still eating healthy although shes not home.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Brooke, you missed the entire point.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Well. She did improve. She's not 'a dancer' yet - but she was definitely more relaxed and that was SO REFRESHING to see!!!

I think - however - that whoever is doing her hair and costuming doesn't like her or something. I hate to even think that - but c'mon..... the top to her costume last night was so ill fitting it was ridiculous. I don't understand it? Why would the producers allow it?

Contrary to popular opinion - I think Buzz showed a little improvement last night, too.

The two of them - Kate and Buzz - are really the ONLY ones out there who are REALLY learning to dance for the first time. I think they both show REAL progress - and how hard it REALLY is to learn to dance for the first time! I know the show is dancing with the STARS - and most STARS have had training -- but some stars don't - and Kate and Buzz, IMO, are both AMAZING for the attempting to do this!!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Oh yeah! Did anyone else look at dialidol????

It has Kate and Tony in the #1 spot this week!!! Woo hooo!

    ReplyDelete
  51. Brooke, you hit the nail on the head! She is doing the right thing.
I personally am voting for her and want to see her go far in this competition because I think she makes more money every week she stays on. So with each vote we are personally doing our part to help support those adorable children!
Ps I just started ballroom lessons with my fiancé for our wedding so I know a little bit about what she is going through. I am a former dancer but it is difficult to dance with a partner, ballroom being so different from ballet, jazz, hip hop, pom, etc. But I do pick up the steps very quickly. They have complemented us because most people have a much harder time. I couldn't imagine not being a dancer at all and trying to do this. It is difficult (but fun)!!!

    ReplyDelete
  52. Just wondering,

I think your point is very clear. You don't approve of the way Kate earns a living and parents her children. You have determined how much money Kate should make and what kind of lifestyle she should live and criticize her whenever she doesn't follow what you think she should do. You are one of many self appointed judges and jury members.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Brooke - well said!

    Sarah Grace - well said!

Imaging learning to dance in front of 10 million people. I don't have that courage.

    Go Jate!

    ReplyDelete
  54. Linda --

Haha - "Jate" -- is that Kate's new nickname? An acronym maybe for "Just Ask Tony Everything"??? LOL

    ReplyDelete
  55. Ok, I am not a hater....but anyone who continues to vote for Kate in a DANCING contest is completely NUTS. She has two left feet and this is not her thing. She should have went home last week. If you think by voting for her you are putting food on her kids table, you're kidding yourselves. It's just ridiculous to vote for someone who obviously CANNOT dance on a dancing contest show ! C'MON ladies...really.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Hope - nope that's just my iPhone which tries to auto spell and sometimes I miss going back and changing everything back. I lovey phone but this part of it is very annoying. The Just Ask Tony line is clever, girl!

    ReplyDelete
  57. Well, Kate improved a little. Her facial told a story but her body did not. For the few steps she did do they looked smoother and less forced. But, she did do a lot of walking. I like Kate but unfortunately I didn't vote for her. This is a dance contest. And I am a dancer so its hard for me to vote for someone whom I like but cant dance. Sorry Ladies =-(

    ReplyDelete
  58. Vote your preference. Nobody forced anybody to vote a particular way. I vote for Kate because I'm a fan and I think it's great to have a previously non- dancer try to learn which takes a bit if guts. I even gave Buzz one vote for the same reason. I wish they wouldn't include professional performers but I'm sure they did for the drama and interest.

Sherri Sheppard had interesting Tweets last night. Previously she has tweeted asking for votes for Niecy. She did again last night But ALSO tweeted for people to vote for Kate! Thanks Sherri.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Linda - I hate when my iphone does it too!

    Jackie -

I believe this is a contest that's supposed to be about "Stars" who want to LEARN to dance - and each week is to show if they've made progress? Seems to be what I've seen and read about the show. It also is NOT a contest that the "BEST DANCER" ever really wins - but more about working hard - trying to get better - and having fans who will support you through each week.

Therefore - I believe votes for Kate are MORE then justified. (JMO)

    ReplyDelete
  60. Linda -- too funny -- I dished out a vote to Buzz last night myself. He DID look like he had improved a little, too -- and I'd rather see Buzz and Kate go to the end - with little improvements every week - then watch Nicole Scherzinger - who as part of the pussycat dolls - has had training, worked with choreographers and more. I just don't consider her a star that's "Learning" how to dance. Ballroom dancing may be different - but once you've trained your body to 'move' -- it becomes more of a process of memorizing and understanding the dances. Same thing goes for the Olympic skater guy. Although there dances are pretty cool each week - I EXPECT that from them - and so I don't enjoy their dances like I do those who are truly LEARNING to dance (Kate, Buzz, Chad...)

    ReplyDelete
  61. I find it actually funny that people would be mad that we voted for Kate. Dancing with the Stars is asking you to vote for who you want to stay. The judges scores are only 50 percent of the vote. You are asked to vote for your favorites. I want Kate to stay because I want to see her improve each week. Did I want ot see the rediculous Cloris Leachman for half the season even though she was a hot mess? No but people thought she was a hoot and kept her on. If Buzz isn't in the bottom 2 then it's the exact same thing. I want Kate to stay. I hope my 6 phones were enough! I didn't get to have everyone over last night, and my neighbor was nice enough to offer up some phones!

    ReplyDelete
  62. It's not a dance contest, it's a popularity contest. Always has been, always will be.

    ReplyDelete
  63. But is that a bad thing? Is their anything wrong with that? I don't like it either, but it is what it is.. I will be biting my nails till tonight! (Ok not realing biting since I just got a fill-in but whateva lol)

    ReplyDelete
  64. Hope, I totally agree with your last comment!

Furthermore, people say the judges were generous with their scores for Kate. True, but it seems they are with most of the contestants. I mean, Nicole's dance broke more than one rule, intentionally, and she was still awarded a 9 and an 8! That seems generous too, which again makes it more of a star contest than a dance contest, and I think that’s ok!

    ReplyDelete
  65. I don't think there is anything wrong with it being a popularity contest. I was just stating that for prior posters. I get tired of people being disbelieving that people are voting for their favorite and it doesn't matter how well they dance.

    ReplyDelete
  66. tiggerfan1965~ I always appreciate your posts. I didn't want that to come off as being sarcastic. Sometimes my blogs do. I'm not going to sit here and say she was fantastic and that's why we should all vote. Fact is, she will be slammed if she stays and laughed at even more if she leaves. The girl can't win. I enjoy cheering for someone that people dislike just because she gets freebies and she doesnt't smile 24/7. I'm proud of her for trying.

It is nice to step out of your own crazy schedule and root for the unerdog. Hope that makes sense..;)

  67. I hated her costume and thought that the dance stunk. But I voted for her. I think she is faking, I really do. I think she is so competitive that her personality is to practice 24/7 to get her act together and to do very well. I really can't see her doing so poorly and being so OK with it. Just not her personality. I think we will see her really 'get it' here soon and do much better.

I hated that costume, it made her look like the wicked witch of the West. Seriously, and I am a big Kate defender and supporter. I think Just Wondering and some of the other trolls wouldn't be able to do 1/4 of what Kate has done, nor as well!!!!!!!

  68. Hope I compeletly agree with your last comment. I admit I have never watched DWTS until Kate was announced on the show. I danced for 5 years durning Jr and Sr high Its great to watch the really good dancing stars but they have had practice. I agree babymama its all about who is improving every week. I dont see an improvement in Nicole she seems great no matter what.
Also, Just Wondering... Yes I DID get your point, YOU didnt get mine!

  69. One of the blondes they showed after Kate danced was Florence Henderson, Carol, from The Brady Bunch. Not sure why...

  70. I personally think at this point in the competition you have to start eliminating the people that still can't dance. Niecy, Chad Ochocinco, Jake, Aiden, Pamela... they all have no dance experience but can "dance". Kate and Buzz still can't dance. Even if they can remember their steps it's still not dancing. It was fine for the first few shows but how long should someone that can't dance at all remain on the show?

    ReplyDelete
  71. I think they focused on Carol Brady because she was a represention of a wonderful TV mom. I remember seeing that and thinking that was brilliant move to put her rooting for Kate. Sadly as much as I love George Lopez, I knew he would make fun of her on his show, and he did. Why the heck was he there rooting for the Pussycat doll.. Seemed a bit perverted the way he was rooting for her IMO..I guess I will hope and pray she doesn't have to be in the bottom 2, or even if she is, not to make any "fear" faces anymore! lol

  74. Ohh WTH? Radar.com gets all the great Kate interviews! Please watch this one, she talks about dating, the paps, and the fact that the kids have the RIGHT to play on their front lawn if they want to! Also a funny comment about Tony's "package"....

  75. Jon Gosselin thinks "Dancing with the Stars" is damaging his kids, thanks to Kate Gosselin ... and Jon now wants primary custody as well as spousal support from his ex ... TMZ has learned.

Jon's new lawyer , former assistant U.S. Attorney Anthony F. List, tells TMZ he's going to court to ask for primary physical custody. List calls Kate, "an absentee mom," which he says is no surprise to anyone.

List expects to use "DWTS" as evidence that Kate does not spend "quality time with the 8 kids."

List also thinks Jon is getting screwed in the child support department, claiming "$20,000 a month is ridiculous."

In addition to primary custody, List says he's considering asking the judge to reverse the support obligation and make Kate pay Jon. He did not specify the amount.

  76. cherier,

It was a comment above but it may have been deleted? I'm a little behind in reading and commenting and I got it in my email because I subscribe to the posts here.

It was something about Michael Swarbrick of INFphoto.com that takes pics of Kate and the kids. It said he took the pics of them at a private beach in NC.

I was interested to find out what the basis of that was. I know people believed it to be true of Jon Gosselin and in some instances I think it was.

    ReplyDelete
  77. So Jon wants primary physical custody now and spousal support? Interesting... I guess he really has run out of 22 something women to live off and now needs to to try to live off his ex-wife.

Also they went through an arbitration process where nothing was decided that Jon did not agree. Why on earth did he ever agree to paying $20,000 a month in child support?

    ReplyDelete
  78. Jon is once again trying to stay in the media. Instead of bitching about paying Kate he shouldn't by giving his lawyer more to do while shoving money in his pocket.

Women go to work all the time. Do their ex-husbands take them to court for more custody because they are working? It seems confusing to me.

    ReplyDelete
  79. I don't know how credible that article I posted is... but it's interesting.

Jon is claiming Kate is not spending time with the kids. Kate claimed she was going to practice dancing when the kids were at school or sleeping, yet in interviews she says she misses her kids even when she is home with them because they are upstairs and she is downstairs practicing. We see the tweets and pics of when they practice and it's not just during school hours. Kate may be on DWTS for what, 7 or 8 more weeks? Then she may have book signings, etc. That could be a lot of time away from the kids if Kate is the "primary caregiver".

I really hope Jon and Kate can work this out without taking it to the media (as much as I find it interesting). $20k a month seems like an awful lot. I think if Jon does have the children more each month then it would be a reason to lower that amount.

I really hope that Jon is not just doing this out of jealousy or to get back at Kate like some may feel. I really hope his wanting to spend time with his children is a sign that he is going to put his children first and concentrate on them. He's had a crazy year and hopefully he got it all out of his system.

I don't think that his attorney should be going public with anything right now. I do wonder what TLC and Jon's situation is right now. I wonder if they still control what he can do and if they will ever allow him to do anything and if he's had any offers.

Does anyone know where Jon is living now?

    -----------------------------------------------------

I don't know. Good question! But I imagine if the dads took care of the kids while the mothers were working it would work out great for both of them. Sort of like Mrs. Doubtfire without the prosthetic boobs.

Maybe Jon didn't want to be a stay-at-home dad a while ago but now that he's experienced both he realizes he prefers it? Maybe when he and Kate were married it was harder. Maybe now that they are divorced Jon realizes he has limited time with his children.

I really hope it's for the right reasons. I really hope it isn't for an ulterior motive. I've always felt Jon was a good dad though. I always got the sense he enjoyed being with his children. Maybe now he will be more grounded. I hope.

  81. cherier1~ I want to ask this without offending you..How do you know who was and wasn't there for Kate? Why does it matter to you so much? It seems your asking to prove a point like she doesn't have friends or something. She does. Not everyone on DWTS has a pack of people coming for them each night. And some just have a few. Are you basing this on wether Kate has friends by the people that clap after the performance? How do you know any of them were here for Kate? It doesn't mean anything.

I loved the fact that Florence Henderson herself is rooting for Kate. It's sweet. I think the haters need a sign that says "Please sit HERE if your friends with Kate". It's stupid. No one thought she was claose with her family, but isn't her own sister with the kids on Monday night? It's a total load of BS to make Kate seem like this horrible person. She is not. But I'm glad you asked it, because it was imporant to point out how shes made out to be a person she isn't.

  82. SchmeckyGirl~ Just read your awesome post.. so true! His reasons for wanting time now are rediculous. Where was he before the show started? Oh yeah LIVING WITH HIS GIRLFRIEND in UTAH! Didn't I do a post recently asking why it had been almost a month since he had seen his kids? Didn't he take his girlfriend to Hawaii just recently? Isn't this money he could have used for child support payments? Isn't that more important?

This is what makes me so mad. That he's only doing this now because she's away making money on this show.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Although they did flash to Joyce Henderson after Kate danced, I'm not sure it means anything. It wasn't a closeup shot but included about four other people too. She may not have been there to support Kate, etc. They may have just flashed to her because she's a celebrity in the audience. I'm not sure why they flashed to her. Maybe because right now Kate doesn't have anyone in the audience there to support her. Does everyone?

I saw Chad's kids (?) and a few people there for Niecy. Shannen's parents were there and Jake's fiance is always there, as is Buzz's wife. Who else? Aiden's wife was there I think. Is anyone there for Pam? Erin? Evan? I don't remember.

    ReplyDelete
  84. And how do you know that Jon paid for any of those tips? Morgan is very wealthy. Maybe Kate wouldn't let Jon have any time with the kids. Did you think of that? They don't have a visitation schedule that is set in stone. She has physical custody of the children, but the house is in a trust for the children. It is not Kate's home and it is not Jon's home. It belongs to the children.

    ReplyDelete
  85. I don't think Jon will win in court. First, regarding spousal support, Kate was not always, if ever really the primary breadwinner during their ten years of marriage, even considering book sales. Secondly, Jon should still be capable of working outside of entertainment industry even if he was a stay at home father for a couple of years. He could even start his own business doing IT work or whatever.

As far as seeking primary custody, a few weeks away from home does not make for a permanently absent parent make (Who happens to be working for the family's welfare). Secondly, the reasons for awarding Kate primary custody in the first place indicates that she is considered to be the more reliable or capable parent.

Any judge is going to look at their situation and history in its entirety. In order for a reversal of custody to occur, the court would have to make a very negative judgment on Kate's parental abilities and there's no substantial merit or basis to do so.

I still think that Jon's doing this because of 1) Money 2) Jealousy and fame and 3) Boredom. If he hadn't been dumped and kicked out by Morgan or any of his many girlfriends I don't think he would have even bothered to do this.

    ReplyDelete
  86. I don't know who paid for Hawaii... maybe his girlfriend did, she's rich. Maybe Jon has a lot more money than we think? Maybe he got money in his TLC settlement. Wish I knew. I know their financial situation is none of our business, but it sure would make it easier to understand and get the whole picture. It's hard to "take sides" if we really don't know everything.

    ReplyDelete
  87. But $20k a month?!?!?!?!? For what? Based on what income? Supposedly (not sure how true it is) Jon testified that TLC gifted the house to them, in trust for the children (so even if there is a mortgage then TLC may be paying it) so his support would not be paying for housing. I can't imagine anything that justifies $20k a month in child support. If Kate is working and contributing her share would that mean their expenses are $40k a month? Ridiculous.

    ReplyDelete
  88. I don't think Jon will win in court. First, regarding spousal support, Kate was not always, if ever really the primary breadwinner during their ten years of marriage, even considering book sales.
    ***************
Kate herself has admitted that she has always made more money than Jon. This could get interesting now that Hailey's Uncle Mike and Uncle Mark Heller are finally out of the picture. They were using Jon for the publicity but they never did a thing to help him. IMHO!

    ReplyDelete
  89. And Jon was never "an IT specialist" or anything of the sort. He built cabinets until he was fired for spending so much time trying to sell their story to the media.

Ed Rendell created a job for Jon rather than have them on public assistance. When their show took off, Kate begged Jon to stay home and help her with the kids so he quit the government job.

    ReplyDelete
  90. All hell will break loose if Jon subpoenas all the sitters who have traipsed through that home throughout the years. Confidentiality clauses will be thrown out and the shit will hit the fan.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Wasn't the house actually awarded to Kate? Does anyone remember the official thing? I thought I had read that somewhere.

    ReplyDelete
  92. No, she was awarded physical custody of the children so she gets to live in the house with them. The house belongs to the children.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Kate doesn't go to Mass (per BM's article) she goes to church, takes the kid to a class and then attends church (at least that's what they always showed she and Jon doing). Saying you can't get 8 kids ready for church, but CAN get them ready to go out to eat, shopping, etc. is a sinful justification - you should know better Babymamma.

    ReplyDelete
  94. JW -- So he built cabinets.. so what - whatever - he can go back to doing that. Cabinets, IT, whatever he's done before the show, there's nothing preventing him from doing them now.

Secondly, he never dared subpoena any sitters so why should he do so now? Maybe they have something on HIM??? (Such as that Stephanie?)

    ReplyDelete
  95. . . . "Just wondering", minor children can not hold title to a house - I would venture to say Kate's name is on the title - it could be in Trust, but again, someone has to be responsible and I would guess Kate.

    ReplyDelete
  96. The trust is in the name of a separate corporation.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Janet, Maybe Kate doesn't have regular help on Sunday mornings like she used to. Secondly, even if she did, ever since the paps came out in full force (because of Jon) she doesn't want to subject either the church or her family to them on those very private occassions as opposed to other outings.

    ReplyDelete
  98. You know, I find it ironic that those who are bashing on Kate and her church attendance are the ones who don't even care about church or spiritual life themselves. They're just trying to find some hypocrisy in Kate when they're just as or more guilty of it themselves.

    ReplyDelete
  99. There were papers in the press that the house was purchased by a trust. However, we do not know the circumstances of that trust who really "owns" the house - well the part of not owned by the bank holding the mortgage.

In the case against Jon by TLC, a lot of financial dealings with the Gosselin family were revealed. TLC did not buy the house and the Gosselins were paid around $2500 for the early episodes and once they renegotiated the contract were paid $22,500 per episode.

Also, Kate and Jon both had to turn over all their financial information to the arbitrator. I am skeptical about the $20,000/month figure that the lawyer is quoting unless it also includes manditory contributions to college funds. However, child support is never based on "expenses" but based on income. At the time Jon agreed to $20,000, I guess he expected his income would be much larger than it is now.

The thing that makes me most suspcious about Jon's motivations is the fact that the lawyer went public in a vicious way. IF he was purely motivated to spend time with kids, try the case before a judge and not in the media.

    From People magazine:

Pointing to her current stint on ABC's Dancing With the Stars, Jon's lawyer tells TMZ.com that Kate is "an absentee mom," that Jon wants primary custody, and that he might also seek to reverse the child-support arrangement, under which Jon now reportedly pays Kate some $20,000 a month.

In turn, Kate's lawyer said he had not received a formal filing yet but called the notion of such a lawsuit "reckless" and "offensive" and said Kate is actually "a devoted mother," according to RadarOnline.

The latest legal wrangling from Jon, 33, comes as Kate, 35, is about to start a publicity campaign for her new book, I Just Want You To Know: Letters to My Kids on Love, Faith and Family, which is set to be released on April 13.

"It's almost as if he deliberately timed this to sabotage her efforts to promote the book," says one source close to the book's publisher. "Now she's once again going to defend herself as a mom when she should be able to just talk about this project that she worked so hard on."

  100. PAR,

Thanks for all the great info/insight.

I am having a problem with all this "he said, she said" though. I don't know who to believe to be honest.

I wish Just Wondering and PAR and others that will be providing info so matter-of-factly would provide a link or a credible source for the info. There are just too many contrary reports.

Someone commented earlier that Kate didn't want the paps to bother the church, etc. Did Kate actually say that somewhere or was that an opinion. It seemed to be stated as fact, so I'm just asking what that was based on.

    ReplyDelete
  101. This is the latest I found about Jon and custody:

"He wants equal say with custody, equal time, but if the circumstances remain as they are, with Kate being rarely home, Jon wants primary custody of the children," says lawyer Anthony List Sr., a former assistant U.S. attorney. "He is much better able to spend time with the children."

List plans to file three separation actions in the next day or two.

"Kate Gosselin can't have it both ways unless there is some balance, unless there are some opportunities for these eight children to be in her physical presence," adds List. "Jon wants to spend time with these kids, and she is throwing up road blocks. And the eight children are the innocent victims. This tears Jon up."

    ReplyDelete
  102. Thanks for the info, PAR!

  104. Now lucysmom lets all stop making excuses. Many single parents (yes with 8+ kids) don't have help and even if they do have a husband, many of them aren't that helpful and like mine, worked Sunays - she picks and chooses what she wants to attend, and church isn't one of them. My opinion for the paps 'out in full force' is that they are continuously 'tipped off'. Kate's publicist? Kate? And as far as 'she doesn't want to subject the church. . ." now now lucysmom - they are not photographed 'at the school' just the coming and going - the same could be for church.

I think we all (and especially Kate) need to stop seeing Kate as a victim. SHE'S NOT. She made her own bed. . .. .

    ReplyDelete
  105. I know that there are other reasons besides Jon's new issue with the custody, but I'm pretty sure I remember him saying that he was happy for Kate to be on Dancing with the Stars. Of course, this was before the show premiered. (I think!) But still, I'm a little cautious of his reasoning behind this new battle. Hopefully he's in it for the right reasons. Like others said above, it would be absolutely terrible if he was purposely trying to stab Kate back.

I'm not sure whether or not Kate will make it through tonight. IMO, last night was a little bit better, but still not enough. She's not a dancer, that's for sure. But I'm amazed at her guts and bravery... I would never be able to do it! If she snags another week then good for her. Hopefully all of us fans who voted can pull her through! :)

  107. I had hoped that Jon was finally maturing but apparently not if the article is to be believed. Let's see, he moved to NY for Hailey, to Utah for Morgan. I wonder if he has a backup plan for what to do with the kids when he finds another "love if his life?" Not a good track record at all. I think at the least a judge would look for Jon to show at least some stability in his living arrangements.

The timing of this, and another attorney seeking media coverage publicly, jeez, can Jon boy pick poor representation or what?

Hmmm... The court info given out and previouly reported by ROL was that the child support had just gone "just into five figures." His big mouth shyster rep from before said it was "absurd for Jon to have to pay $10.000 per month. " So how did it double in amount? Could it be because Jon hasn't paid so back amounts are being added on? Could it be that Jon just doesn't want to pay anything? Could it be that he is so green-eyed with jealously that he'd do ANYTHING to make Kate's life tension-filled? Can he really be such a freaking, low-life, lazy jerkoff that he'd choose NOW to pull this stuff? Pick one, pick all, pick none. This is all just pure speculation. Just like the former shyster, this one is pumping out media fodder before Kate's attorney is even served with papers.

Grow up Jon! I'd like to give you benefit of the doubt but Nobody who isn't seeking revenge would choose this timing! You need to find another rock to crawl under, or another 22year old.

I truly hope that if you are dumb enough to go back to court again now that Kate finally gets mad enough to take off the gloves, supoena every chick you screwed around with (including the babysitter you hired) and just lets the chips all fly out in the open.

If Jon's family, friends, etc cared about you, they'd step in and do an intervention to get you the mental health that your actions indicate you so desperately need.

Ugh! I'm just disappointed in you again.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Janet, if you look back at the TLC special interview, she addresses the church attendance issue. Also, Kate didn't "make her own bed". If it hadn't been for all of Jon's trysts, the paps wouldn't have been as big of an issue.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Sorry but I still find List suspect given that he is going to the media with this. He really doesn't come across as much different than Jon's last lawyer.

Schmecky, in Kate's interview with Natalie Morales that aired on TLC last fall, she was asked if she still takes the kids to Church. She said no at the time - indicating that it was still emotionally difficult for her because it was something they used to do together. She never said it was because of the paps.

And I agree that is difficult to sort out information without evidence. I keep thinking of the rumors that Kate was bringing the kids to LA or that she was going to make fun of Jon in her dance last night.

  111. The thing with going back to court for child support changes is that the law states that there has to be at least a 20% change in income amounts to justify filing simply to change the support amount.

I can't speak precisely - however - from my own experience and that of friends in the upper middle income ranges (let's say 80k per year/per couple - each parent making 40k) that most have ended up with around $200-$250 per week per child. Now - do the math times 8 that's $1600 - $2000 per week for them - times that by 4 weeks in a month and you're looking at $6400 - $8000 PER MONTH in support. Now - considering we know that their incomes were way above 40k each - I'm not suprised at the 20k amount. That would mean that their individual incomes were supposedly around $150-200k per year each.

Jon cannot continue to 'not work' and expect the court to lower the child support either. The court looks down on this - and since many 'deadbeat parents' attempt to work under the table or find other means to lower their income as an excuse to not pay child support - there are federal guidelines used to figure out how much the parent SHOULD BE making if they were truly attempting.

I'm sorry - but being a single mom myself at one point in time - it really makes me angry to hear that ANY PARENT is being attacked at not being a good parent because they travel for work. I had to do it - and I was a great mom - I have great kids - and we've had a great life! There is absolutely no reason why Kate should be crucified for working and/or traveling for her work!

  113. Rita~ Jon did say how happy he was for Kate and that he was def. voting for her (which means nothing but whatever). My point is, it doesn't matter who paid for Jons trips, but that he just seems to only want to be around when it's good for him in the media. Just IMO. If Kate is not allowing visitation that's one thing. But it appears that she goes by what the court dictates. I'm just mad that he went out and had his own fun and was MIA for weeks. Now he wants to get more custody of the kids, which is fine, but there is already a set schedule in place, and it would prob. be a paid to change it. To me he looks like a whiny baby again.

Sorry to those that may have said that, but I can't go back up right now and read the other posts. This is just putting a cloud over the positive vibe going on with Kate and her career. (and I am not saying good dancing lol) I hope that this just lasts long enough to really help her promote the book, and hopefully get back to what she does best, which is reality TV.

  116. PAR,

Thanks for the link! I understand there is still a mortgage being paid on the house and the house is in a revocable trust, etc but who is to say that TLC is not paying for the mortgage?

I'm just trying to figure it out based on what I've been reading all over the place and I haven't seen anything that proves TLC isn't.

There may be no proof that TLC isn't but there is also no proof that they are, or that Jon/Kate are. Am I wrong?

Thanks also to Hope for your breakdown. $80k is considered upper middle? I think that's all relative.... you have to take into consideration where you live.

I don't know anything about spousal support or child custody (thank goodness!) but do they really just multiply it per child like that? It doesn't make sense. If they are all living under the same roof the cost of housing wouldn't go up times 8 and I'm sure there are other expenses that can't just be multiplied by 8, no? And $200k a year salary and the child support is $20k a month? Doesn't sound right. I'm lost. lol.

I just think $20k a month seems high for child support for the Gosselins unless they are much better off financially than it seems.

  119. Blog won't let me paste the copying from Philly Mag on Jon being fired from the Cabinetry company. (Yep, six months ago I posted it here.) iPhone is strange on pasting into the blog. I can get pasted when I get home to real computer. I know I got the info originally by googling Jon Gosselin Fired.(the PhillyMag article when first written kept the GWOPers going for a long time because of its negative slant.

The church asked that no more filming or photographers come to the church because of the disruption to services. Got that info in quote from church pastor by googling Gosselin church and then scrolling through listings for Kate's father's church and then those for the church that J&K attended.

Kate's brother has kids and I don't think they attend church. Should this be an issue for him also? Not in my opinion nor should it be for Kate. That is a personal relationship between you and your maker.

The Gosselins never showed up uninvited on any church's doorstep to speak. But they were invited to speak. But as BM said, that issue has already been addressed. Let it go or go back to GWOP to rehash.

  120. What's your point? BM and I have been going at it for over a year. She knows all about me from the months that she didn't allow my posts! No hot press release for you.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Dang just wondering....this is a friendly place. Why are you coming here and harassing people? Go somewhere else with you negative comments!

    ReplyDelete
  122. Apparently you spend all of YOUR time at GWOP, Linda.

    ReplyDelete
  123. The negative ninnies aren't worth your energy. Just ignore them. We know why they are here. Don't let them stir the pot.

  124. Linda, the only statemtn I ever read from Glad Tidings was this:
Media Statement from Glad Tidings Church:

Our church has been in the eye of the media recently due to the fame and notoriety of some members of our church family. In response to that media attention, we want to clearly state that our vision as a church is to help people become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. Therefore we welcome everyone and would never refuse anyone the opportunity to worship with us. In addition we respect and protect the privacy of our church family. Therefore, we do not comment or respond to any questions about members of our church family.

  125. Interesting - after all the negative comments by cherier1, as well as apparently many deletions, this person didn't come back to this blog until JW passed the word that BM wasn't moderating.

Merciful heavens, BM! How did you keep your sanity with these trolls? It's a shame that blogger doesn't have controls that allow you to permanently block a person. Would be nice if you could do a warning and then block them forever.

I noticed that TLC , the View, Discovery, none allow anonymous posting nor do they allow posting without the web adminstrator knowing supposedly real name and contact info.

I salute you BM and SG for having blogs and dealing with people who have so much hate.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Just Wondering~ Did you not see the episodes where Kate gave back? There were quite a few lol.. And for the record, she doesn't have to do ANYTHING. Not everyone has to give back till it hurts just for YOUR satisfaction. She's not on TV anymore. You have no idea what she gives and what she doesn't. And frankly, it's NONE of your business.

And FYI: Every single gifting suite the DWTS stars got to go to before the season started...She gave EVERYTHING she took to charity. So bite on that for a while.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Baby Mama- I'm a little confused about what you wrote up there.. but if I'm understanding it right than I do agree with you. I was just saying that I thought Jon supported Kate doing DWTS, and wondered why he changed his mind. (Not so much about how he takes advantage of the media, although I think you're completely correct that he does.)

    ReplyDelete
  128. The great thing about all these trolls, is that the site counter goes up!!

    ReplyDelete
  129. SG:

On the issue of child support being multiplied by each child - the court takes into consideration the needs of each child. You feed each child, buy clothing for each child, buy school supplies for each child, pay for field trips for each child, get haircuts for each child. Household expenses go up fairly equally, too, such as electric use, water use, etc - and all of those expenses do multiple. Maybe as young kids the children can shower together (although they are already getting to be out of that age group) - and the court takes those things into consideration as well. The court can't PREDICT if it will be any less - and the court always has the best interest of the children in mind - and so the system goes.

I'm not sure the 80k stayed in the 'upper middle class' - I had retyped part of that paragraph and didn't adjust that with my new wording - so I'd probably agree with you on the upper middle class income being a bit off by my definition of 80k. However - I was more trying to describe the breakdown rather than the specific. :) We make much more than that and in our area - and we probably just make it - barely by the skin of our teeth maybe - into that category! LOL

I hope to God we are not about to enter another media circus with Jon again. It seems that - if I remember correctly - their original contract (if all parties agreed) could have ended sometime around now? If so - I'm wondering if it IS about to end - and that's why we're now starting to hear JG press releases again? If he hasn't learned anything about not airing his crap to the vultures and making everything a media event by now - I'm starting to think he is a lost cause.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Jon's statement was just that: A statement. What was he supposed to say? That he hopes she breaks a leg? And how do you know his publicist didn't just make the statement for him?

So.. Is Kate going to quit tonight? Will the get an under the table boot so she can go home? And what about the book tour? Should be another interesting several months.

And, BM.. TLC paid for the hospital donation. They paid for the cow that Kate split with Jodi (even though Kate made Jodi pay her for half of the free cow) What else was there? A garage sale? Big deal!

She is making $20,000 a MONTH just in support and cries to the media that she's just trying to support her children? Oh, cry me a river!

I think TLC put her on DWTS because they don't have a clue as to what to do with her. Any acting dreams she has had flew right out the window last night. Nobody knows what to do with her. Can't dance, can't act, can't interview. I think she's toast.

    ReplyDelete
  131. tiggerfan - I totally agree with your comment about time spent. Excellent point. :)

    ReplyDelete
  132. Holy Moly, Baby Mama, I don't understand how moderation works, but you need to put it on. LOL

I don't need to read the F____ words!!!

I was going to post about J&KS mediation agreement last year, but reading all the post has upset my head. cu

Just one thing, their expenses for the house and everything was $15,000.00 per month. That was printed out and posted by ROL. It included everything, even the old house payment. I printed it out and now will try to find it.

Sooooo, $20,000.00 per month in child support is going overboard. Its just more BS.

    ReplyDelete
  133. WOW, Baby Mama, I didn't know you could make money off this site. How do I get one??

    Yes, sarcasm............

If Baby Mama makes money off this, then good for her! She is using the internet to her advantage. And I am okay with that!!

    ReplyDelete
  134. O and if Baby Mama is making money off this site, think of all the money GWOP is making. I doubt they are giving it back either.

I have got to get me a blog site........I need the money.

    ReplyDelete
  135. Jon wats custody of the kids so he doesnt have to pay his child support. He wants Kate to pay his way and for the kids too. http://www.radaronline.com/exclusives/2010/04/exclusive-kate-gosselins-lawyer-calls-jons-bid-custody-reckless

    ReplyDelete
  136. All through Mediation, both J&K each paid7,500.00 into the JKIG Checking Account. That is the Corporation that owns the house, and it is in trust for the kids. There is a remaining mortgage also. Its as tax shelter!
    Bye!

    ReplyDelete
  137. Nope I don't go to GWOP a lot. I did a long time ago trying to post anything at all positive, and it never got posted because it wasn't hate related I guess. However, at one point I used my major email account here, trolls reading this site and Facebook got it and I still get posts forwarded from them. I changed my email here, dropped Facebook, and still they email to an account that I hate lose because I've had it so long. I asked them to stop and they continue. But no biggie now because I'm working with a very nice investigator who is working on a harassement suit. Ultimately I think I'll get the last laugh from their blatant stupidity.

I'm not interested in revenge. I just want them to go away. Stay on their corner if the web where they can spew all the hate they wish but I don't have to read it.

Sorry for you, but IMO Kate is a courageous single mom and I'm proud of her. I hope she can earn zillions of dollars. She's not afraid of work and she's trying to bank money for her family's future, not living off what she already has. She gets manicures and pedicures and sometimes tans. I once calculated she could get 500 of those for what Jon spent on the expensive champagne that the club in Vegas refused to comp Jon.

Let Jon live whatever lifestyle he wants as long as he keeps the future filth out of the children's home, doesn't leave them alone while he romps with the sitter, etc.

  138. Maybe BM will let us do a vote to choose the person we'd most like to vote off this blog. Hmmm , I wonder for whom I'd vote and who'd get the most votes? I "wonder" whom it would be, lol.

Huh? What in the world do you base this on? Sorry, but that comment is laughable.

BM - up post - I asked who was there for Kate. I was asking because I'm curious. They showed a guy one time and Florence Henderson last night. Why so defensive? I wasn't rude or snarky. I do care a lot and here's why: I think Kate looks very emotionally fragile right now and she needs someone who only cares about her to advise her. Someone with nothing to gain (like DWTS, ABC, TLC, etc.) Her eyes looked empty last night and I felt frightened for her. I think she is being used on a huge scale for ratings and profit and that is a very dangerous thing to do to a person.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Kate MUST be getting the votes or else they wouldn't keep putting her near to last. Every week she's in the last half hour (and I know for sure since I can only watch the last half hour because of work). It's supposed to be even. Therefore ABC knows she's a draw, ergo, she's getting lots of votes to tell ABC that. She'll make it far enough. The show really is supposed to be about learning to dance and she is learning. I think the emotional breakthrough she had with the acting coach will really mean something to her going forward.

    ReplyDelete
  141. I posted this earlier - and will repeat it. According to dialidol (which from what I understand has been relatively correct in past seasons) - Kate and Tony ended last night in the #1 spot.

As for the child support? Truth is none of us know exactly what Jon is or isn't paying. 10K? 20k? God knows that back when this mess was at its height -the way you knew Jon's lawyer was lying was the fact his lips were moving. So many things he said were simply untruths - so I can't buy into any numbers Jon - or Heller - threw out there.

Good luck to Tony and Kate tonight. According to tweets - tonight is going to be another major 'surprise' as to who is in the bottom two!

  142. Ohh this is a really good question.. Apparently I am making millions off this site! Let me stress to you that any ads that have to do with actual sellable items like t-shirts & bracelets.. Well lets just say I work with the sellers in exchange for the items they are selling that I want. I do make a couple of dollars a month off Google and Amazon so please feel free to use this site for purchases! And to anyone that doesnt think this site doesn't take work or that I don't deserve it, they can go scratch. For the first year of my other blog I did not make a DIME and I had no advertising. Not that I owe anyone an explantion.

Maks & Erin & Aiden & Edtya are safe so far...

  143. BLAHHHH I am so excited! Joey Fatone is coming back to do a dance number with Melissa Rycroft! I really love him! I was his biggest fan before Kate..lol Seriously we met him at Disney's Hollywood Studios when they were still called MGM and his wife wasn't pregnant yet. Our daughter were playing together while waiting on a ride and I begged my husband to approach him like a 12 yr. old school girl..It was so cute he hugged me and took a pic. with me..My fondest scrapbook pic..

Sorry I do not like Reba..will be back

  144. Ok I took a chill pill so I can quit spouting off, at least until JW makes another comment, lol.

Cherier1 - Onviously I must have you confused with somebody else. So, my apologies. I was already irked by JW. After I got an email this afternoon reportedly as a copy of posting from a hate site, I let my anger jump. I took guessit out on you and that was inappropriate.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Meant to say obviously not onviously.

    ReplyDelete
  146. I truthfully think that if Jon is suiing Kate, it is about money, no more, if she said that he didn't have to pay child support, he'd probably forget the rest. He probably thinks that he could make more being a stay at home dad and living off Kate than he could getting a job. I do believe that when Kate is out of town, that he should have access to the kids unless he has shown that he is unsafe and I seriously doubt she denies him this. I really think that if he got a small apartment near the kids, a day job and sat down with Kate to do what was best for the kids, she'd be right along with him. There is soo much that he could do and could have done to make the kids lives better that he needs no court order for. I also wonder where the loved Mark Heller is, remember all of these people who were so looking out for the real Jon, Hailey, Mark, Mike Lohan, Rabbi Schmulley, they are all gone. I wonder how much his family is even supporting him. I think tonight is going to be an interesting show and my prayers are with Kate

    ReplyDelete
  147. Linda~ After tonight I will re-think my stance on moderation. Obviously I don't want anyone to think that they could run me or my readers off. I have complete confindence that my ladies here can handle any trolls. But if I didn't allow other points of view, I could just be as bad as GWOP. But then again, thats what my girl Schmecky is for!..lol

I will be deleting a few comments tonight before I put a new post up. Still nail biting since i really don't want to see Kate in the bottom 2. She's smiling tonight, so the comments are working!

    ReplyDelete
  148. Oh, I figured it out. JW is Julie, Aunt Jodie's sister. What a loser. Still trying to get your 15 minutes of fame.

    ReplyDelete
  149. Baby Mama if you need to put moderation back up, then you do it. I love your blog and I will wait to see the posts. Except for Monday nights. LOL!!!

    ReplyDelete
  150. I've enjoyed the openness, it sure keeps things hopping!
    Your site, your choice...

    ReplyDelete
  151. Well there is another rumor mill blown out of the water. HAHA to the trolls.

That was really nice of Erin. I can see her and Kate being friends.

    ReplyDelete
  152. How nice that the showed the interview clip of Erin talking about how she and Kate are always texting and that she can't wait for Kate to come back on Sunday nights. Makes me think a lot of the source info the rags are just junk.

    ReplyDelete
  153. LOL Baby Mama! Thanks! I think. :P

I like no moderation myself. It hasn't been bad IMO.

    ReplyDelete
  154. Kate is safe! And not in the bottom 3 again..phew!! (ok bottom 3) I am so happy I was screaming up and down with my kids!!!!! yayay!!!!!!

Do you think they are intentionally keeping her in the bottom 3 for drama & ratings??? THINK SO!

    ReplyDelete
  155. I think they are using her to pull ratings and keep people watching until the end of the show.

    ReplyDelete
  156. Re moderation - I don't have a problem with most, just when I look and there is a person who has never posted a single positive about Kate, or Jon, or the kids. That makes me wonder WHY they post to a fan blog except to cause tension and make it unpleasant. Wish that blogger had a registration where BM had to approve you and then you could openly post unless subsequently removed. They do that on some of the newspaper blogs for example. But that isn't available.

I'm a huge fan of BM and thankful for this blog. It is her blog and her rules. It's got to be easier not to moderate it constantly.

The big "f" word posted just really was disgusting.

Sorry you don't make a pot of money BM. You deserve mega bucks for what you put up with!

    ReplyDelete
  157. YAYYYY! So glad that Kate made it through! You go girl!

I agree with what Linda said about moderation. I think that it makes for better conversation, but then again when you have idiots posting f-bombs and other garbage on a fan site it makes you want to have it!

You do a great job on this blog, Baby Mama.. I don't know where I'd be without my Gosselin news and updates!

(Sorry this is really repetitive of your post Linda, but you stole the words right out of my mouth! )

    ReplyDelete
  158. YAY Kate!!! Safe for another week!! YES!!!

    ReplyDelete
  159. Linda~ I thought it was super sweet that Erin texts Kate to see how she's doing and letting her know whats going on. Watching the show, it's upsetting to see the press pitting Kate against Pam. Everyone really looks like they enjoy each other!

I really thought Pam & Buzz would be in the bottom 2. I knew that Kate would be in the bottom 3. I'm really starting to think now they do that for ratings.

    ReplyDelete
  160. Somebody asked earlier how ROL gets the Kate interviews first. The media/publishing gossip is that ABC is buying ROL from AMI (American Media, Inc) but I can't confirm that. TLC has to approve all Kate's interviews ahead of time so there has to be some reason. The gossip is on marketing blogs and sites.

In addition to ROL, American Media, Inc also owns National Enquirer, Star, and others. That's one reason their photos get shared so often. Source: Columbia Journalism Review. http://www.cjr.org/resources/index.php

  161. Thank you Linda. That was big of you. I think BM deleted one post of mine in the past, graciously, and I said I understood her reasoning. Her blog, her rules.

    I read; don't always post a lot.

    ReplyDelete
  162. Cherier1 - you are welcome. When I'm wrong I have no problem admitting it, lol. I've had more than one post deleted, lol, and I completely understand why.

BM - I agree with you. So many people would tune out and change channels as soon as they heard Kate was safe. I'm not sure how long it will last, but we'll just hVe to wait and see. Interesting that somebody said dialidol said Kate was highest on fan call-in. I can't load dialidol stats for DWTS so can't confirm.

One last question. Since Jon couldn't pay his first attorney in PA, or Hellers, or Hailey, wonder who's paying for latest attorney?

    ReplyDelete
  163. As a college student after a long day of schoolwork, it is quite abhorrent to come onto a fan site and find people like “Just Wondering” make malicious comments toward a family with eight children. Just Wondering your arguments are trite and to be totally honest you annoy me. You look for getting a rise out of people, you are certainly not revealing anything shocking and nor will your attempts at “exposing the truth” triumph 1) because no one freaking cares and 2) You are irritating so no one takes your bs as truth. I find it quite amusing and laughable that you think you have so much inside information. Now, this is not meant to attack you in any way, I’m just stating the truth. One more thing Just Wondering, I think you really need to go back to school because you obviously have too much free time if you feel the overwhelming need to attack Baby Mama… At least then you’d be productive… Lmao Have a good day.

    ReplyDelete
  164. WOW, JW has got to be somebody close to Jon, or Jon himself. There is just too much confidence and spitefulness in the posts to be anything but one of them. ICK!

I say go KATE! I'm sure you look back now and see what a loser Jon was even during your marriage. What a nice change for you. Really you didn't lose anything, you did it all anyway! Including supporting your family. He was one more mouth to feed and take care of. Certainly didn't play the role of man in your house. I bet he was too busy snow boarding or drinking. Ugh......makes me sick to think his kids are around him.

    ReplyDelete
  165. Cherier1~ I think once I deleted your post by accident and one I actually didn't like. lol At least I'm being honest.

If you have a genuine question you are allways allowed to ask it. Just know that there is always a line with me and I'm not digging the post I will remove it. You can post here and not be a fan of Kate's (ala Schmecky), but anything attacking her won't stay posted (ala Just Wondering, who appears to just be a glutton for punishment).

I'm following Linda by saying I may not always be right, but luckily, it's my blog. lol I do feel even more now that they kept her till the end on purpose. Everyone seems to be voting for her by what I'm hearing. Even people that hate her are voting to see what she will do next week. They are judging 2x next week! Hey she doesn't care as long as we keep voting..lol

    ReplyDelete
  166. I don't curse either and prefer not to have to read them and although I don't think just wondering should comment here solely to antagonize Baby Mama, I don't necessarily disagree with all of her comments. But to be fair, she did not post that F bomb comment here... Just another fan did. She copied it from somewhere else and posted it here. Doesn't make what she wrote right but she didn't post it here.

    ReplyDelete
  167. FYI: I just put up a new post since I won't be able to do it tomorrow. I also updated this posts video of Kate's Paso Doble to include the beginning with her and Tony practicing and getting their scores.

    ReplyDelete
  168. And thank you to Just Another Fan for posting here so we can see all the beautiful sides of Just Wondering. I actually do disagree with everything Just Wondering says.

What part do you not get that Kate is the reason that DWTS is such a hit this season? You have been saying she is toast for almost a year? She just keeps on getting stronger and more popular. Did you see the latest TMZ poll? Almost 100,000 people voted and 73 % said Jon was the worse parent. If Kate is hated by as many people as you say, why does this poll not reflect that?

    ReplyDelete
  170. You go Kate! It's not easy when your ex is a slacker and YOU have to do the work. Wouldn't it be nice to have someone get your back when you really need it. Sure you have a ton of critics but who isn't critical at some point of each and every one of us??!! There are very few who have no problem sitting in judgement of others.

This is the first time I have ever posted comments but after reading all of the other posts, I was overwhelmed with sympathy for this poor woman. Although the Gosselins chose to make a reality tv show, and expose themselves and their family for all the world to see does not make it okay for the public to pry into their personal busniess. Divorce is hard enough without the watchful eyes of the papparrazzi. This all began as a way to provide for their large family. Can you blame them for wanting the best life possible for their children?

We all have problems. It's a part of life. Kudos to Kate for moving on with hers, and doing the best she knows how to take care of her famiy. If she were on welfare, would the everyone still feel the same way?

    ReplyDelete
  171. Kate DOES KEEP GETTING STRONGER...........I know I try to help out by putting her in my prayers daily. It can only help. Seriously, Jon isn't working at all, not a word from anybody about that. I'm wondering if the trolls would allow a man to just sit around while they worked their buns off to make organic meals, keep the house spotless and take care of everything whil he sat around all day? Think they wouldn't have had a few choice words for him? I'm sure they would, only difference.....it wouldn't be on TV.
