Wanted: YOUR Comments, Watch Funny Kids Lines! Kate Plus 8 Back From Alaska! Jon's Twitter Obsession

"Drawing an end to what was quite the adventure, Kate Gosselin and her eight little ones were spotted landing at the Los Angeles International Airport on Wednesday (July 28). The reality TV show mommy and her entire brood looked a bit worn out, yet excited, as they made their way through the terminal with the help of bodyguard Steve Neild and a fellow helping hand. As previously, the famous family traveled to Alaska to work on their new show “Kate Plus 8"

Hello Gosselin Fans! Every couple of months or so I gather my thoughts on the over 2 years I have now been blogging about Kate Gosselin. Then I go over and dust off my old Jon & Kate Plus 8 site. Funny that yesterday I noticed that that site is still very much active, people still leaving comments on it. Alot of people even find that site first before heading to this one. Wow! Are you guys missing the old glory days of Jon & Kate Plus 8? Missing the fun simple blog with just my kooky thoughts? Ok maybe not, but Im sure that those that come from there to here see the amazing transformation in such a short amount of time. I am extremely proud of that. I must be doing something right, I went from over 200+ followers on the old site to now almost 550!

Now I know the majority of Kates fans justcome here to read. Many still arent even aware that under each post, there is a comment section where you can log in and actually join the conversation. I know a fan site is very different from a troll blog. Hate is easy to spread. Fans normally don't requently post on a blog. But if you take a peak we now have an amazing bunch of people commenting here. If your not already doing so, I would really love to hear from you. Come into the comments section even to say hi. Give your thoughts or suggestions, or share your feelings about Kate Gosselin. Getting new blood into the mix will continue to make our comments section even more interesting.

In closing, I am incredibly proud of what I have accomplished here. That is my continued support of Kate and her 8. I love those kids! I feel like I still havent yet gotten to where I want to be yet with this blog, and I hope that with your ideas & help I can get there soon. I am but just one mommy with her cape still flying high...Crushing evil and saving the planet one closed-minded troll at a time! xoxoxo

Jon Gosselin claims he is protecting his children not telling Twitter followers when sees his kids: Examiner.com

July 30, 2010 -- If you follow Jon Gosselin on Twitter.com you can find out exactly what he is doing, except if it has to do with the kids. Claiming that the paparazzi has taken too many liberties, the reality television show personality told fans in a tweet today he no longer uses Twitter to talk about the kids. The father of 8 gave the impression in 140 characters that the family is still in the spotlight of the media and to keep him out of it all, he won't be giving details. "The reason I can't answer when asked if I have the kids is because paparazzi can see and I don't want them looking for me and my kids." This appears to be the exact opposite when Gosselin was thick in media presence to find any camera to share what was going on with him, his family and even the kids a year ago. Today, looking to find some privacy and unable to shake the cameras, his Twitter.com account is all about how he feels and ads. You can follow Jon Gosselin and all his musings at @jongosselin1

  1. Good Morning everyone! TGIF!

  2. Gosh Baby Mama. Lol. It must have been something in the ozone. I had one that was up repeatedly. The whole crew is sleeping late today.

I'm glad the paps didn't catch them in PA. Do you think they are using a different airport?

  3. I am running so sluggish today. Think I need a double shot of espresso! That pic of Jon is too funny. Atleast he's trying to make money right? Albeit the easy way. LOL

Off to get my hair done and head to fish fry tonight so I'll be checkin' in via phone. Have a great day!

  4. Good morning all. Linda how are you feeling? I was up early because the GE repairman stated he would be here between 8-12 when I called for service. Then called this morning and said I will be there between 12-4. I cancelled him and rescheduled for next week. I hate when they do that. Did anyone listen to that little girl sing on the link I posted yesterday? She is so amazing. I played it for my sister and she got cold chills. She is going all accross the country to different churches to perform. Would the haterz say her dad is using his child to make money? She is doing it to follow in her moms footsteps. She died 2 years ago of cancer and was a singer and this 7 year old wants to carry on her legacy. She is truely a gift from God. Have a good Friday. My sister is off today, so we are going shopping and lunch with dad. My dad is 78 and he is so cool to hang out with.

  5. It's really all about those wonderful kids. They are so much fun (and work). Kate has done a great job of keeping them going during the hard times. She is truly a good Mom and it shows.

I think my new favorite is when the crew returned to house and the kids were so happy to see them. Answers all questions about what's normal in their lives (at least to me).

    Happy Friday!

  6. PS - Linda. Take your time rehabing. I know it stinks. I had a knee replacement two years ago. There is nothing as painful as backs and bones. Time goes by slowly when you want to be active, but it's worth letting your body do it's thing.

    :)

  7. Thanks all for good thoughts. It's quiet here. I think everybody we know has headed out of town for some last vacationing before school starts back. Question: Has anybody checked to see if Jon is getting paid for Tweets. I hope so for him but could you really make money for that?

  8. Good Morning Everyone!! It is a beautiful day here. Hoping to take a bike ride with the grandkids shortly.

Shortnsaszy--My 8 yr old granddaughter and I just watched that video twice. How awesome!! It brought tears to my eyes. The only other time I have heard that song is on my Celtic Woman CD.
Thanks for that link. I will share it.

  9. I'm a daily reader but I don't comment very often. I love watching the conversation between the posters. I am a fan of the Gosselin kids. I have a huge amount of respect for Kate. I feel sorry for Jon and wish he would pull his act together. Thank you Baby Mama for your wonderful blog! Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

  10. Amy~ Welcome and thanks for comiing in and joining the party!

Yes, I know pretty much all of my followers read but feel funny jumping in, which is why I made a post about it. I wound up having to go into work for a little bit today, so my hopes of updating this blog were dashed a bit. But its nice to hear that people enjoy reading the comments as much as the posts. I prefer that actually! lol

PS~ AGAIN my phone did not correct my spelling and I wrote "changing" wrong on my first comment. I will never rely on my IPHONE to have my back again! lol(PLEASE PLEASE GET ME 2 MORE FOLLOWERS! I WANT TO GET TO 550.) Yes my head is swelling and I'm getting greedy again ;)

Maybe Jon Goselin will help me out and follow me since Im getting him "business" by promoting his Twitter site here! Thanks to me he's made about $4.25! Just enough to get him some soup on his TGIF date with Ellen tonight!

    ReplyDelete
  11. $4.25? That's better than nada I guess. Hope he doesn't spend it all in one place. Guess he's trailblazing a way to earn the bucks!

  12. My kids' favorite of the Kate recipes is one Kate mentioned on a show but I never saw her prepare. It's Yum-a-setta. I assumed it was a made-up Kate word. Then a child went to a sleepover and came home raving about a pasta dish called Yum-a-setta. Searching through cookbooks I found it in a Pennsylvania Dutch cookbook. It's a strange sounding combination of ingredients but kids seem to love it. Not one of hubby's favorite's because he knows what's in it and says it's just "too weird." we have it once a month because the kids adore it. We usually choose a night when Dad's not home, lol. He can't resist saying "Do you know what's in this?" The kids say who cares, it tastes good!

  13. I'd love to do a Gosselin recipe blog again, Baby Mama. I know you've done this before some but it was long long ago. I'd enjoy knowing how people have adapted them. Hmm. Hungry thinking about it though, lol.

  14. Hi everyone! Oh my goodness... that video of the kids was just what I needed! They say the cutest things! "Hannah pooped. In Hannah's unnawares." Will never get old with me! ;)

I agree with Linda about doing a recipe post- I think that would be fun. Could there even be new Gosselin recipes floating around?!

Holliday- I have been wondering for a while if that adorable picture you have is of your dog? He/she is SO cute! What breed? (Sorry, off topic!)

  15. Baby Mama - several things. Oops, I just remembered cooking is not your thing so I guess a thread about Gosselin cooking might not be your thing. Second, I just got two calls from people that are having the same problems with blogger that I was having this morning. They can type their posts but it doesn't send. You might want to report it to blogger.

  16. Happy Friday Ladies, thought I would stop and say Hi before heading out for the weekend on our camping trip. Anyone else ready for school to start so we can stop running here, there and everywhere doing summer activites? ugh I am exhausted, lol

Baby Mama, $4.25, LOL Like Linda said, At least its something, goodness it screams desperation. Poor guy.

  17. Linda, I was raised Amish and we grew up eating Yum-a-setta all the time. It was a comfort food for us kids. Totally takes me back to my childhood. Unfortunately my kids dont like there food all mixed together so they dont like it :( I have lots of yummy recipes from my Mother who is a wonderful cook. Her motto "Everything is better with a stick of butter." lol

  20. I have read your blog off & on for a long time even prior to the name change. I actually try to read everything pro-Kate and really enjoy reading Linda "original", PeggyP and the sweet posts by Mombsy. I have never posted here before for the simple reason that I detest the passive agressive postings of one of your regulars who apparently doesn't like anyone who is a Kate fan or anything that Kate says or does good, bad, or indifferent but jumps at the chance to give Jon a pass. I agree with Linda "O" if your site is a fan site then non fans should seek their own level.

I am a Kate fan! Not because she is beautiful, not because of her glorious smile and infectious laugh, not because of her rule following or her work ethic. I admire her because she sets boundries and enforces them, and she becomes Momzilla in the blink of an eye when the boundries are breached. She has to be a stern teacher and a gentle nurturer at the same time. It is a difficult balance and I think she does the job admirably. The rag mags and the Kate haters don't have a clue about what it takes to raise 8 healthy, happy, intelligent, and thriving children with practially no help from the father. I have a small inkling because I am the mother of 2 5yr olds and 2 3yr olds. I am Puff and I can breathe fire and become a Momzilla too!

  28. Good evening everyone! Well actually it's already morning on the East Coast. Had an amazing engagement party to go to Uptown. That meant the little black dress, spanx and the 4 inch heels I havent worn in ages. When you haven't rocked heels in a while your feet are on FIRE by the end of the night. The pain is the reason I'm still up.

Hello to my new commenters, Rita & Puff! I'm so happy you took me up on my begging and pleading to come join the party in comments section. I hope you come and stay a while!

I changed Gosselin photo today because I just LOVE the funny expression on happy Hannas face. These kids are STILL adorable, and anyone else that doesnt't think so can go scratch! lol I have said to many people on this site that if you want to see only fans on these posts, you gotta come out and show yourselves. When it's slow here is when the trolls take advantage and come in to try to "educate". Be proud of the reasons you enjoy reading at this site and if your not happy, then push them out. Push them out by speaking your thoughts and comment here! This is your home as well as mine. :) We share a common goal, and thats to show solidarity and positivity for this family!

HolliDay~ Ohh no your dog hates Bethenny's voice?? She's my Woman and my favorite Housewife. Watching Cookie's fangs come out this week on the Wedding Planner was hysterical! Kate Plus 8 Better come on soon b/c I'm getting a little obsessed with these shows. Except DC! I refuse to watch, so scream at me if I break this promise.

Could it be I'm one short from 550????

  29. Ok now so I laugh as Jon want's to stress how he's protecting his kids on Twitter by not telling people when he sees his kids (so that only "p people" that pay Jon get the exclusive shots) I wanted to show more articles that didn't make the cut for my post:

'Kate Plus 8': Kate Gosselin, kids return to Pennsylvania -- is Sarah Palin confirmed?

After shooting a "Kate Plus 8" special that certainly appears to be eventful on the surface, Kate Gosselin and her famous eight children are finally back in Pennsylvania. Gossip Center caught the family arriving at the Philadelphia airport on Friday, one day after they were spotted in Los Angeles.

Before this, the Gosselins were all in Alaska. As for those rumors regarding a trip camping with Sarah Palin, a number of sources around the web now seem to be confirming that the former Alaska Governor did in fact joining the reality TV mom on a camping trip -- at this point, she would be denying the rumors if they were false.

  30. Good afternoon. If you're able to post via blogger, jump in, lol. I've been trying for four hours. I type and then it won't send. By now, I've done it so many times I can't even remember what is was I initially wanted to say. I adore your yesterday's photo of the say, Baby Mama. Wonder how Jon will invest and spend his newfound riches from Twitter? I can't bring my self to do the Tweet and pay, so unfortunately I won't be contributing to his largess. I think now his contract with TLC is finished. I still think a "On the road with Jon" show might make him happy, biking and visiting the latest tattoo shops across the country. Do you still call them tattoo parlors? Somebody enlighten me please.

  31. Linda~ My daughter has my phone. Im trying to keep them occupied for our ride! lol so whatever you sent I will get later. Will be in and out today..But Im thinking of more photo's of the day or perhaps Kates recipies. I don't cook, so its foreign. ;)

Again, I was happy to give Jon enough money to perhaps get a bowl of soup or some toast. lol Im thinking with the family home now Jon has already notified Radaronline, so he won't need my Tweets..

  32. Bethenny's dog, Cookie, is the same breed as my Calder. I enjoy her tremendously. Calder just jumps up and down off the furniture thru the whole show! When Cookie barks, Calder goes nuts...I record the show so I can shut if off and turn it back on when my dog gets too excited. I may need to get a life. It's a much better fit of dog for a family than two German Shepherds. No shedding and loves kids. But it's a non-issue for the Gosselin's now.

  34. Oh the haterz will hate to see the girls smiling while with Kate! Na-na-na-na-na!

  35. Linda, thank you for your concern, projects like this bring bring out my inner Kate. Inside, I get as stressed as she does, I just most of the time keep it inside instead of express it. I was thinking of her after I was trying to explain to the contractor how I didn't want the porch to look tacky since I guess they can't do it like the old one and it needs to flow with the house and not look makeshift. Also it makes us want to get a pressure washer like Kate did and clean siding since everything else looks sooo new and pretty. Pounding is over for the weekend until monday, but I can't put yard back together. I am soo grateful that stuff is able to get fixed, but it makes me cranky. I also really empathize with her about not having a man around, although I am sure Steve or her film crew can help with advice and small jobs. I hope you are taking care of yourself and able to spend time with the kids talking or on quiet activities. It's funny also with the talk of recipies I got made fun of a little when serving the hummus and asked for the recipe, I brought out Kate's book. The funny thing is that I think this person watches Kate's show when nobody is looking and won't admit it.

  37. Wow, Is it a slow news day out there? Everyone must be waiting on pins and needles for the next show time to be announced.

  38. Good evening everyone! How is everyone tonight.?

#1CAREGIVER~ Yeah I was a little peeved that they had to take Kates one day of rest without the kids, and make it like its a totally HORRIFIC thing that Kate went out for a whole whopping 3 HOURS by herself to do what SHE WANTED TO DO. What the heck are the paps doing anyway timimg where she goes and how long she does it on a day where Jon has custody? Really pissed me off!

"Having arrived back home the previous day, Kate Gosselin got back to her regular routine in Reading, Pennsylvania on Saturday (July 31). The TLC reality star mom spent the day pampering herself while Jon took care of the kids, as she spent more than 3 hours at the spa and working on her color at the local tanning salon.

As previously reported by Gossip Center, Miss Gosselin and family are fresh off of filming "Kate Plus 8" material during a trip to Anchorage, Alaska. Making for quite the exciting situation, the TLC family even got the chance to go camping with former VP candidate Sarah Palin!"

  39. LoriAnn~ I forgot to respond to your post that unfortunately no one does the cooking in my house. Sadly we are a bit backwards. I do make something sometimes over the weekend. But during the week I'm usually "picking" something up every night. My husband hates leftovers and yes, its very expensive, esp. since he loves Chinese & Japanese food that we do get twice a week. I was never a good cook, and sadly I do feel bad when he loves going to my moms to have a home cooked meal lol. I think my mom is still yelling at me about that to this day!

  40. Imagine how they would twist it if Kate wasn't doing things for herself what the headlines would be from the haters
    Examples could be,
    1. Kate is deliberately trying to martyr herself and make people feel bad for her because she never has any me time.
    2. Kate has a neurotic unhealthy emotional relationship with her kids because she won't separate herself from them and they will be permanently damaged by this.
    3. Kate looks soo frumpy, I don't see how her kids can stand to be in public with her.
No matter what Kate does, it can be framed negatively or positively for that matter such as
    1. Kate knows that part of being a good Mom is taking care of herself and having me time and keeping her batteries charged
    2. Wow what a good example Kate is showing to her kids to take care of themselves and not let anyone run them down into the ground.
    3. Kate really wants the best economic circumstances possible for her kids and as a public personality, personal appearance is part of the job.

  41. Tash - Your list of comparisons pros & cons are great. Made me laugh, and its true what people say: No matter what she does, she will be criticized for it. I have always tried to stay neutral and not say a bunch of negative things about J&K because I am for the kids.
Butttttt come on Jon, stop all this tweeting stuff. I hope they don't let the kids just sit and play video games all day.

WOW, I can't get started on parenting, my post would go on forever.

Baby Mama - Since you say you don't cook and i just fix stuff for myself. Instead of a recipes here, why don't you have all your posters list one major important rule that they have for raising children. They could specify the age group that it applies to.

    Here's mine.
As your children grow and you want them to have all the latest in Technology things, please monitor and limit their usage. By things I mean these: Computers, Video games, television (just put this in as a reminder), cell phones.

Here's a good subject for discussion because I need to hear different OP on this subject.

How old should a child be before they get a Cell Phone and why? This is bugging me!

    ReplyDelete
  42. I think cell phone usage for kids can be tricky. I have tended to be on the stingy side because I didn't trust her to not run up a bill and it was before the unlimited plans. What I did when kids were younger and needed a phone for safey reasons or a ride for instance was that I had a second tracphone that was " mine" and I let them borrow it during those times. That way it wasn't theirs to talk on with friends all the time. I really believe that for kids to have cell phones that theyshould be able to pay at least part of the cost in some ways that they learn to respect it and value it. I have one relative that gave hers phones around middle school but that was when she was heading back to work and the kids were going to be alone more. I also had a friend that gave her six year old one of those phones with four numbers because she stayed with Grandpa while mom worked and grandpa had health problems so she wanted her to be able to access help.
Now as far as the Gosselins go, I couldn't even fathom making these decisions for them other than to say that I hope the parents are getting professional guidance and possibly specialized firewalls etc.

  43. Also now that you mention it I was surprised that a high school aged niece "needs"an iPod touch because the teachers let them use it for research, calculator, dictionary etc. The only thing I can imagine going on in that class would be a Facebook fest. I guess I am old fashioned

  44. Ahhh. Cellphones! We have this discussion at least 5 times a week, along with Facebook. Our kids are a wide agespan. We don't really care what our neighbors or friends' rules are. We had to decide for ourselves. Our kids have been using computers since age 3; we use two programs that limit access as well as emailing us a list of places the kids have gone and transcripts of conversations. Ours are literally the only rising 6 th graders in their class without Facebook. These twins are 11; Facebook says minimum age is 13, case closed in my opinion. Cellphones - no. We drive them to school so cells not needed there. We have phones at home. They do not go places without an adult, so I don't see the point. If it is a school trip, we allow them to borrow one of our phones. We have friends, divorced, whose kids have cell phones that can only call a few numbers. They say kids are always trying to play parents against each other; that's even more than all kids playing parents against each other do. It's funny - our kids think it is grossly unfair that they don't usually succeed at pkaying us against each other.

  45. caregiver,

    Good topic.
I agree about technology and kids. My daughters rarely watch tv even.

Right now they play educational video games only. They went through a phase where they liked nickjr.com but I put their laptop away because I prefer they "play".

They have Leapsters but rarely if ever use them in the house. Mostly on long car trips which is nice if my husband and I want to talk in the car. When I'm with my girls alone in the car I don't bring the Leapsters. I enjoy listening to them interact with each other in such a limited space. I also play word games with them like Who/What Am I? and Opposites (you name something like Sad or Up and the other has to name the opposite like Happy or Down). They love when we come across a word that has two meanings and can have two totally different opposites.

As for cell phones I don't think it's an "age" thing as much as an individual need basis. I plan to give my girls cell phones for emergencies in school that can only dial 911, me and/or their father and one emergency contact. I hate seeing kids texting all day long too. I don't see a need for that. Other than school my girls have no need for phones because they don't go anywhere without an adult.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Oh. My girls are really young. I don't think "Opposites" will work with tweens and teenagers! ;)

Right now my feelings about Facebook is it's not for minors. Not sure how I will feel when my girls are teens. I also believe very strongly in monitoring your child online. Don't take chances.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Tash and Linda - I guess I am old fashioned too or just very strict with rules. Iphones in school, OMG! What ever happened to teaching your kids how to use a dictionary, Library, and all other research stuff? Before they get to take the easy way out.

Linda, I with you, I am against cell phones, even if the kids can pay the whole bill. When raising my kids as a Single or Divorced Mom, ( whatever you want to call me is OK), we didn't have cells. My kids were in SAC and after school programs and only picked by me or their Auntie if I couldn't and that was only once or twice as I can recall. Face Book and My Space are another area parents need to control.

Lately, I have experienced texting at the dinner table and I couldn't keep my big mouth shut. I am a bad Grandma, LOL! It's so rude.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Caregiver - I'd never go for texting with others around. No DS or iPod at the table either. We do Conversation with a capital C. Choice of topic can rotate. Most any topic is up for grabs. We recycle as much as possible and sonebody's new idea is a frequent idea. We volunteer as a family at a soup kitchen at least once a month since the kids were about age four. They also enjoy making "art" or table favors for a local nursing home. Recently we won with CraftyMom's contest and got Glossy Bands. I bought a couple more and we took these to a nursing home Friday and did a crafts session. Yesterday we went back and they removed the dried bands and assembled them. Even most of the guys are wearing them. I tutor high school kids on Sundays but mine often participate. Our travel games are alphabet as well as the standby license plate states where you see the plate and find the state on their notebook maps. We do bunches of educational DS games with multiplication etc. I think technology is fantastic and would classify our family as techies. That said, we limit everything or try to put in perspective. Mind challenges, physical outdoor challenges, and helping others. It's a challenge bur that is what parenting is, after all. Oh, and our resident drama queen has a weekly Show she's written and gotten the neighborhood involved. Thankfully the performances are usually short, following some BBQ or get together. Our multiples are very competitive, so the challenge is encouraging individual talents. Oh, also, in the car, the whole family is in to solving Encyclopedia Brown mysteries.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Linda - Your children sound like it would be loads of fun to spend time with them.

    Schmecky Girl - Yours too!

That being said, all three of us are Educated in life experiences. You 2 are Techies, but I am not, but I do try to get with the program of what kids are doing nowadays. I have a couple of Knowledge Adventures Programs for Pre-School age kids and now just waiting for the Granddaughters to be able to use them.

My hope is that these discussions make at least one set of parents realize the need for rules of use, then it will have been worth it. Gotta go, and I hope more will respond with their OP.

  50. Tasha...LOVED the post on Kate!

My 14 yr. old had a cell at 10. He was on a travel baseball team that practiced 4 days a week. He could call if it started to rain or pratice ended early. I didn't want to sit there for 2 hours everytime, I wanted to be able to run to the store. There was no texting for 2 years.
As for Facebook that started last year with the understanding that I had to be one of his friends and I had to know his password.
We spend a lot of time in the car between baseball and hockey as any away game is at least an hour away. We used to do books on tape (CD) when we had tournaments in another state.

  51. Dee - That makes perfect sense to me. You had a need for the cellphones and it was a big help! In my case, we drive them, and one of us remains there. Their activities and practices are short enough that it's not practical to return home. Thus, my posting while I'm waiting, lol.

  52. #Caregiver, when kids are in your home or you are taking them out to dinner you should by all means tell them from the start that the table is a text free zone kids need to learn to respect others. I do wonder if the children's parents are also texting at the table. It's amazing the habits kids pick up. Technology usage really has a lot to do with the example from mom and Dad. If parents are always tuned out texting, surfing, watching tv, kids will be too, if parents have a life of other activities and present them to the kids from young ages, such as conversation, games, sports, ect thats the example kids will follow.
I agree with you about using the dictionary and such, but I guess a lot of the teachers don't. I just see a big can of worms open with that stuff in the classroom. Stealing, bullying, inapropriate use of time to mention only a few.
I also think part of the issue is the open communication that kids have with parents. I am not crazy about parents needing to sneak around to see the kids pages and such, I think it should be an open discussion about what is appropriate. The thing that worries me when I go on niece's and nephews' pages, their friends are leaving phone numbers on them instead of using direct messaging.

  53. Lots of good comments on this post. You all had me curious about the Yum-a-setta dish. Looked up the recipe and it sounds like a good gooey casserole for the cooler months. But I have a question why the do use tomato and cream of chicken soup? Does it make it richer tasting or creamier. At my my job in the fall we do some potluck lunches and I thought this would be a good recipe to make. So for the ladies that make this dish do you make it exactly how it is written of do you tweek it? Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

    ReplyDelete
  54. Linda, you brought up an iteresting point about children of divorce using cell phones to pit parents against each other. It's tricky because you want kids to feel that they have 24/7 access to both Mom and Dad, but if parents don't have a really good coparenting relationship, that could get nasty.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Dolly I make the recipe as mine is written . It's the two cans of soup that my hubby won't eat. I've taken it to potlucks and come home always with empty dish. My kids don't eat too many casseroles but they adore it. My recipe doesn't specify how much brown sugar to the two lbs of hamburger. I use about 1 and 1/2 tablespoons. That's probably why they like it, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Tashapork - privacy is such a tricky issue. The Internet and kids scares me. It's not like interacting with the kid down the street or even across town. So many of the predator creeps just prey on kids. In our house, I'd never enter your room without knocking. I don't go through drawers or closets if you keep them reasonably clean. Electronics are a different story. None of mine have given me big worries there and mostly I just scan. All computers and other electronics have to be kept in family room or library. Nobody takes them to bedrooms. We have multiple tvs but none in kids bedrooms. I'm tough. Tougher than most of their friends parents, but my decision. Friends who sleep over know their cell phones, DS, iPods, etc have to be left downstairs before bedtime. Some grumble but they keep coming back. Maybe at 18. Certainly when they are on their own, lol. A sad thing to me is when I see a family in a restaurant and they are all just texting! Geez why not just get takeout? I wonder if they even know what they are eating? I'm afraid communicating live face to face will become a lost art like letter writing! Yep, you guessed it! I also insist on written thank you notes and not emails. Just call me weird. Fine with me.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Oh, I do borrow extra company cellphones when we go to amusement parks. That's in case we get separated. They can call me! Yes, I watch like a hawk. With a group of kids I'm afraid we'll get lost. Most of mine are big enough now that they don't want to hold parents hands. At least with the GPS trackers I'm hopeful it wouldn't be for long. I wish somebody would come up with the rubber bracelets with trackers in them for amusement parks. Or something like the backlight stamps they use at Chuck E Cheese.

  58. My kids both have cellphones, 10 and 13. I find it calming to know if my 10 yr old goes out to ride her bike if she gets hurt or scared she can call me. It's mostly for my well being!

My 13 yr old has had his own trac phone for a year. It's great because he knows what his limits are and I approve who has his number.

I am really not so strict I must confess. My only rule I stick to is no games or toys at the table. I have all their passwords and they are friends of mine on facebook and all their friends know that I watch their pages and check them.

Hope every one is having a good weekend.

  59. CraftyMom - We are still loving those GlossyBands. The kids even did them at a nursing home. I have no idea how many made but still have liquid left in bottles. I found more of a similar liquid at Michael's until extra bottles ordered arrive. This activity is a winner! Thanks! I've sent friends to your blog! Your kids sound very responsible! I know I'm probably overprotective. Nice to hear another perspective from somebody I trust. Hope your camping (?) weekend was great.

    ReplyDelete
  60. baby mama I love the new pic you put up of Kate. So pretty.

Thanks for the traffic Linda! :) I really think that its really on a child to child basis. You know what works for your kids. I am considered REALLY overprotective in my area...go figure. LOL. Our camping was last week but thanks! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  61. Oh and will you email me what kind of paint you got?

    ReplyDelete
  62. Craftymom, it is so nice that you are able to let your kids go out and ride their bikes. Soo many kids never get that opportunity that so many of us grew up taking for granted. I remember being sent out to play and not to come in until the next meal or if we were sick or bad weather. It has a lot to do with where people live and which particular kids you are talking about, but I think kids are growing up without valuable life skills. I remember being 8 or 9 and sent to the store for an item or two or I would go in while a parent waited in the car. I know 15 year olds who are afraid make store transactions because their parents have always done it on credit cards. Parenting is soo hard these days

    ReplyDelete
  63. I hope this doesn't bring out trolls. You know, just looking at Kate and Jon, IMO, I can't get over the changes since the divorce. Kate looks happier, much more relaxed despite added responsibilities, and younger. Not surgical younger, but less stress from unhappiness younger. She looks healthy and fit, perhaps because she's at home at night with her children than bar hopping. I want Jon to succeed also but I'm seriously beginning to wonder is self destruction is in his DNA. I've repeatedly listened to him talk about how happy he is but I'm not seeing it. I see him bar crawl until he latches onto a "babe" (or vice versa) and then do nothing but play or expect his nabe and/or her parents to support him. He smokes like a chimney, doesn't seem to care much about his health or himself. His clothing - ignore the outdated styles, he just doesn't appear to have laundered it. So he lives with current flame in a one-bedroom apartment. You'd think common sense would tell him to get 2 bedrooms to say the least. It almost makes a statement of "me" before all. I want Jon to make it, but I don't hold put a lot of hope. I want to, gosh I want to. Funny too how the paparazzi shots of K&kids were long shots or taken from nosy neighbor's. Paparazzi shots of Jon and kids appeared as if the paps were invited up close. Kate went to great lengths to give the tups a pap free birthday. Jon counters with "I won't Twitter about visitation days to avoid the paps. It's strange that the outside shots of pool at Jon's show pool in inner courtyard so were paps invited inside. The TLC connection (that Jon severed by choice) is running out. I wish him well with his Tweets but wouldn't you think he'd be Tweeting about his availability for tv? He has some following now. Why not use it to secure a future job?

    ReplyDelete
  64. My apologies. To hear him Tweet about "What to do on a rainy day" just made me see red! So does he have amnesia of what he did on past Years of rainy days? Or, did he not do things with them before? Or are brain cells fried from beer and booze? Or, is he getting hints for what Ellen can do to entertain them for him? Or, how about talking to them instead of Tweeting?! Come on Jon! Get with the program! You can do it! You've had a bye from responsibility for long enough. Think for yourself. I'm afraid the next photos we see will be him driving around to yard sales for finds he can sell on EBay or worse.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Truthfully I think he doesn't know what to do with the kids in a one bedroom apartment. I think in the past, Kate structured the day which now there is more of since kids have outgrown nap. Jon probably doesn't plan ahead to have games and activities available for them during his time. Either he can't afford to or is not comfortable handling them to take them out such as to the library, movie, or an indoor play space. As much as Ellen may help with the kids, she's not much more than one herself and probably gets bored with the eight and she probably doesn't have child care experience like Kate's nannies. I really would like to see him spend time with smaller groups of the kids sometimes, but I guess they don't do that. I agree with you Linda on the two bedrooms or three for that matter.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I'd agree completely Tashapork, except just a couple of months ago he was Tweeting about all the board games he'd gotten. I swear his mind doesn't remember what he's said from one paragraph to the next, he's lost the games, or sold them on EBay, or something. Maybe somebody could suggest he search online for rainy day activities in his area. Then he could talk smartly about all the things they are doing. Maybe somebody should suggest a notebook to keep up with his comments. I think I recommended that a year ago, but maybe there is somebody he'll listen to? Is Ellen still working?

    ReplyDelete
  67. Maybe I should do the blog I threatened, and he could use it. Remember? TodayJon's hairstyle is: topnotch. Today Jon's girlfriend is:Ellen. Today Jon is living in: PA. Today Jon's goal is: find a job he likes. Today Jon's featured exercise is: hoisting beers, finger curls from gaming, couch flops, walking his kids in the park. Today Jon's money producer is: EBay, Twitter, meetings with producers. Wait.....I just thought of another job. They pay people to test video games! Maybe a spokesperson for them. Most of them are about 15 years younger, but he's enthusiastic about his gaming so it might work. Who knows.

  68. Off school shopping. Have a great day, all.

    ReplyDelete
  69. I wonder how Kate copes with school shopping? I've put away all the online ordered clothes. In our house, convincing them to leave shoes pristine till the first day if school is the hardest. Do you folks have that problem? Maybe I shouldn't care, but there's something about starting that first day with everything fresh and clean. I keep thinking about last year's episode with all the backpacks, etc. Nostalgia time.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Its interesting how you say you like starting the year with everything new when I get kind of annnoyed when kids think they need a new backpack, scissors, ruler, protractor, and other reusable supplies every year. Sometimes the backpacks are worn our or outgrown especially for little kids but sometimes they are just fine and kids insist on new more expensive ones like Jansport that can last longer than a year. It's probably just me but it can add up

    ReplyDelete
  71. Tasha - ours are always falling apart. Towards the end of the year we pray they'll make it. I buy from Target or Walmart and not expensive ones.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Yeah, those don't last, you are lucky though that they still like those

    ReplyDelete
  73. BTW Jon and Ellen have gone to a new low. I really hope that they did not realize how bad their tweets sounded. I am disappointed because I was really hoping that Ellen would be different.

This lady posted a rap to Ellen or Jon's twitter page that called Kate names and then E & J replied that they thought it was funny.

I won't post the link here but it's on IW. It's horrible.

    I am sooo disappointed.

    ReplyDelete
  74. I am not posting it, but that was the link that psycho was trying to post earlier. It figures that she would like it. JW you are truly a disgusting person for spreading that around.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Linda O. you posted three times about Jon and Ebay. Has he mentioned selling on Ebay? My husband has a friend who is retired and started doing Ebay. He takes it seriously, runs it like business and loves doing it. Nothing to be ashamed of.

Jon needs a real job that brings in real income NOW. But until he finds someone willing to hire him, trying to bring in extra income isn't a bad thing. But, like my husbands friend, you have to be dedicated to it.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Angelsmama - I've had an EBay account for 6 years but no real business there; mostly selling kids' toys so they can have the money. Jon and Ellen have tweeted about clothes, etc. that Ellen was selling on EBay.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Tashapork - If you have any that have to have Jansport, those backpacks are half price at Kohl's right now; with an online 15% off coupon, drops price to $17. which is less than ones at Target. Wow, three counties west of us, the kids start back this Wednesday. Fast summer. When do PA schools start back?

  78. Hello everyone! I'm so sorry to have been MIA this past weekend. Alot was going on with me! Why does everything always happen in the same darn weekend!

CraftyMom~ I will be on later tonight, but I had to laugh since Ellen Ross just blocked me from her Twitter account. I wonder how she knew who I was? ;) So lets all give a big wave to Ellen who apparently is all up in my business! I don't mean to sound snarky but I don't support any Gosselin site that allows posts by Jon attacking Kate, or even supporting Ellen for that matter to stay up. Don't know the full story and may not want to.. Whats up with that?

Also thank you to everyone again who has b een nice enough to send me all these great ideas for my blog. I would love for you to all comment as well ;)

    ReplyDelete
  79. Gee, it is curious that she knows who you are when she doesn't follow the media.

Some one gave us a heads up about what is going on on IW. I think it was Gee Whiz. She wanted to let us know that Ellen was full of crap and why. I didn't want to post the link so it wouldn't get any more traffic.

Seriously Jon and Ellen are full of crap. It's really disappointing, I thought Jon could clean up his act. He thought it was funny. That's the mom of his kids.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Thanks, Linda, last year I spent 45 for one and a relative spent 45 and 50 for three. I love Kohls. Kids in suburbs near us actually start tomorrow and wednesday also. Summer is flying by sooo fast this year.

    ReplyDelete
  81. This is Ellen's post from today..Don't ask me how I got it ;)

@aptsongs duuuude i just watched the Kate song. OMFG u are hilarioussssssssss why didnt i see that sooner?
9:37 PM Aug 1st via web

I think I have come to the conclusion that NO blog can stay neutral and have a debate based on not taking sides.. It's not possible. Even these so called "debate" Gosselin blogs are run by people that do not like Kate Gosselin. Even the ones that did, that supported her...why are they allowing posting like this? As curious as I was I never had Hailey Glassman or any of Jons Girlfriends posting on here. Why is getting on blogs or saying things that people are going to re-post? At least NONE of the other girlfriends had the audacity to do that. They are making statements that are now all over the place. Is her head so inflated that she will now give interviews to cats & dogs?

    ReplyDelete
  82. I guess Jon did find something to do with at least six of the kids

    http://www.radaronline.com/exclusives/2010/08/photos-jon-gosselin-enjoys-a-daddys-day-out

I hope the other two girls weren't spending time with Ellen
Kate has an advantage that many other divorced moms don't, she can go online and find out exactly what her kids are up to. Kind of sad

    ReplyDelete
  83. tashapork~ thanks so much for sending this! While I'm so happy that Jon is spending time with his kids, I hope that it isn't just for show. I think it's become more of a tit-for-tat thing he's trying to do to look like a good dad. Either way, the kids must have missed their father and I have huge issues with him trashing his wife as publically as we has on line.

FYI~ Dopey also blocked me from "following" him but his posts are public..DUH..Its gonna take him a while to get it, but thats ok. Jon has always known about my site and I find it odd that only NOW after I made THAT POST last week about Ellen that there is an issue.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Could someone ask Jon why a few of his outings with the kids recently have been sans Cara & Mady?

"Father-of-eight Jon Gosselin took some time out from his marital woes to enjoy a day of fun and laughter with his sextuplets on Monday. The reality TV dad had a typical family afternoon outing with six of his eight kids at The Works Arcade in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania.

The bustling brood - which included children Aaden, Collin, Joel, Alexis, Hannah and Leah – left the carnival with armfuls of stuffed toys and prizes after playing games including Thunder Bowl and Dance Dance Revolution. Mom Kate has just returned from a very different family vacation to Alaska where she was filming her new solo reality show Kate Plus 8."

    ReplyDelete
  85. Mady and Cara could be school shopping with Kate.

I don't think Jon and Ellen are living together like someone said. Or are they? Also, someone asked if Ellen is still working. She has a career Gov. job doing something and I don't think she would quit it for Jon.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Caregiver - I have no proof that Jon and Ellen are living together. They are a single and a divorced adult so to me it is their business. (Notice I once would have said two single adults, but if people can only refer to Kate as divorced, not single, I will refer to Jon using terminology used for Kate.) Jon and Ellen twitter about being together overnight so it would appear to be so. Again, IMO, their business until it impacts on children. It is a one bedroom apartment he's using when the children are there for visitation. That makes it an extremely crowded situation, again IMO. Also, I do not know PA laws. In my state, that housing situation wouldn't be accepted for even a temporary sleepover. I was truly surprised that it was accepted for such a high profile case. Maybe the apartment has a colossal living room? Still wouldn't work here. It wouldn't fly for an impoverished divorced parent. Why is it okay for Jon? Here, if he used the "I don't have a job" saw, he would have to provide documentation of the jobs for which he had applied. I may be completely wrong, but unless he can show that he's looking for a job testing games, I don't think tweeting about hours spent in Farmville would count.

    ReplyDelete
  87. FYI on the bookbags. If you buy from Lands End or LL Bean, they will repair or replace at no cost (maybe shipping). Same with kids coats. Yes it is more expensive at first but come Febuary when the zipper is shut in the locker and no longer works and stores are only stocked with summer clothes those two companys will have coat for you.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Dee - I buy winter coats and ski bibs from Land's End. Durable and good value. They clean well and can be handed down. Backpacks there we haven't had such good luck with. My kids I guess are really hard on them. They change classes even in younger grades and maybe it's dragging them all over campus? Yesterday I paid $17 each (Jansport, on sale+coupon.) I could get them locally so no shipping. The similar backpack at Land's End is $59.50. I could get two of the other ones for $34. Uniforms at their FL school were Land's End and held up for years! (No uniforms at NC school.) I always struggle with multiples weighing value and price. We also struggle with child preferences. We solve that by setting a price we are willing to pay. Should they want something more expensive, they do house jobs to earn the difference. Usually if it's their $$ they don't want the upgrade. We've being doing that since they were 5. Maybe I'm tough??

    ReplyDelete
  89. The sad thing is that if she and Jon are posting on the internet like that, what are they saying in front of the kids. If this is their attitude, even if they are trying to be neutral, their negativity is going to slip out and affect them. Behavior reflects attitude. You will not successfully change behaviors unless you change the attitudes that underly them. For instance if you still think smoking is good, but you want to quit to appease somebody, you are probably going to continue to smoke behind that person's back and you never will be able to quit, but if you quit because you've decided that the hard work is worth it to save yourself and your family from serious health issues, you are more likely to succeed. On the J&K episodes, Jon and Kate didn't censor themselves much in front of the kids because "they didn't have time to argue away from them" and Kate is definitely more controlled in what she says, I can only imagine what Jon and Ellen's conversations are

    ReplyDelete
  90. Stephanie Santoro quit her high paying job with the Star for Jon, so it's quite possible Ellen has done the same thing, I am hoping for her sake that she hasn't but she'd better be careful not to be tweeting on the job, government agencies are kind of strict on that.
Kara and Mady could be with Mom, Grandma or at a friends' house or camp activity. I just hope they aren't stuck at home being punished because they missed their Mom or something like in that firehouse episode.

  91. OOPs I am sorry I mean Kate Major not Stephanie Santoro. All these flavors of the month get mixed up in my mind

  92. INF has a really sad video up of Job dropping the children off today. Why they have to film that is beyond me. The one sweet thing about it, if you can even call it that, is that it shows how much the children love their father. They are visibly upset to leave him, though, which makes me so sad. I wish for them that they didn’t have to go through this whole thing.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Oh and I’m sure the fact that they are sad to leave him will translate to some people that they hate being with Kate. I can see the comments now.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Hey, I am sorry guys. I have really enjoyed reading here, but today I saw the INF video of Jon dropping off the kids. It is so sad. I don't care what Kate wears, or how she does her hair and nails. I enjoyed watching her and the kids on the show. I wanted to believe that being a mom was important to her. But, NO loving mom would allow her anger toward Jon to create such difficult visitation circumstances. Those kids should be dropped off at the door -- away from paps. They should be greeted by their mom. The pain of the kids was overwhelming to hear. I think that the pap could have gotten more personal footage and even he kept a distance. Jon looked near tears. The twins hugged with a quiet desperation. I should not be seeing such private family grief. Kate needs to set aside her punishment of Jon and allow him, at least, inside the gates. She should do this as a kindness for her children. I think any loving mom would think kids first, ex relationship second.

  95. Good afternoon everyone! I know I haven't been around lately. I needed to take a step back and try the best way to deal with all the conflicting views on this site. It was also important to me to not take out the shotgun to the trolls that invade here.. take a deep breath & exhale.

While trying to get more fans to post so we don't have this issue in the first place, some took it upon themselves to once again try to sneak in and invade the blog. It's always been a fine line between friends I have made here and those that are truly out to sneak onto this blog to cause trouble. To my friends I know who you are, so please don't worry. I just ask that you continue to respect the fans that are here because in essence you are showing repect to me and my wishes for my site.

In closing, it's been so great to have my friends here who have continued to be supportive and loyal to the site and I thank you. I also welcome all the new first timers that have added a small spark of energy. I hope you can understand that Im greedy and want more! With the Gosselin "quiet time" it's always great to see that people are still reading..still there. Are we ready for some fresh soon? lol

    --------------
Mary Ann doesn't it bother you that Jon had called his personal pap from INF to do the photos and the film this morning of the kids? Jon is the one that blew it by having the kids dropped off at the door by bringing Ellen to Kate and the kids home and still have photos taken. Outside or inside the gate Jon will want photos taken. At least Kate can stop this crap on their doorstep.

Doesn't it bother you that the fact that the kids were crying "Daddy close the door" bother you when they didn't want the paps or Jon's pap filming the drop off? How do you feel that instead of consoling the kids the fact is that Jon yelled at them to "cut it out" and then slamming the van door shut actually irritated not crying? Watch the video again and listen carefully and it was obvious the kids didn't want all the paps attention and instead Jon yelled at the kids instead of consoling them. Sure kids are upset also to say goodbye to daddy but let's be honest here, Jon doesn't want custody that often. He would rather spend time with Ellen and play games at home.

Doesn't it also bother you that he is lying to the public and saying on his twitter that he works at that gaming place? From his twitters it's obvious he is home all day watching movies and playing Farmville and twittering. Let's be real here. I hoped that Jon would change but it's obvious he is up to his old games again and hasn't changed a bit.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Hello MaryAnn! Thank you for the post. I just started to read that and I'm a bit concerned that Jon is intentionally trying to make Kate look bad so that he can get sympathy. Are we even sure that it's a FACT Kate refrused to let him drop off the kids at the house?

First of all they live and breathe to get the shots anyway and even if Jon dropped them off at the door they would photgraph it. After all the mean things Jon has publically been saying I smell this story not bring accurate. I would take it with a grain of salt. I will look into this and into it more on my new post tonight!

    Thanks for the comment!

    ReplyDelete
  98. I have to wonder if there is some reason Jon isn't coming to the door. That whole video had some kind of creepy staged effect to it. I really don't think the cameras would have been that close if jon hadn't set it up that way. Jon also could have egged that reaction to be worse than usual by saying things like your Mommy won't let me see you for a long time or something like that. We also don't know if they aren't having the same reactions when their mother leaves them.
Many divorced parents find it easier for kids to transfer the kids through either a third party or a neutral place like school or daycare. Kids have a hard time transfering loyalty sometimes. It is one of those situations where pictures many things especially when we don't know the context. I just think Jon is trying some kind of sympathy ploy or something

    ReplyDelete
  99. Lexxi, did they really ask him to shut the door? I couldn't turn it up so I couldn't hear that they were saying that!

    ReplyDelete
  100. Lexxi~ I agree, why do people think that this is some sort of "punishment"? See this is a situation where because people dislike Kate so they automatically feel that she is doing this intentionally. Seeing the glass half full and looking into it more I think Jon is looking for positive PR after looking bad for making fun of Kate on his Twitter account only a day or two ago. Who to beleive?

But I'm glad MaryAnn spoke from her heart because it's interesting to see what people think including myself without knowing the entire situation. Who knows though. People will think what they want to.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Sorry I read the twitter wrong and it was who Jon was tweeting that said she works at the arcade.

I honestly think Jon took the kids to the arcade so that HE could play the games. From the virtual tour of the place there is only one game kids that age could play with. I'm betting Jon plays the games and the kids watch while he plays and with his tickets from the games he gives the kids prizes. It has to be boring just standing around watching daddy play games like he does at home and maybe that's why the older twins don't want to go with Jon any longer because it's too boring to watch daddy play games for himself all the time. Why couldn't he take them to play mini golf, something that all eight could play?

    ReplyDelete
  102. wildchild what several of us got was that the kids were saying "Daddy shut the door" and that's because the kids don't like the paps as we know so Jon got mad and told them to "cut it out" and slammed the door shut Now he did give the older twins are real nice hug which was sweet. There were quite a few kids yelling and crying and they also could have been over tired if they had stayed up late and didn't get a good nights sleep on the floor of Jon's apartment. But the fact is that the kids didn't want the paps there but Jon had his personal pap there from INF taking photos and filming the kids. Then Jon's pap "ad libs" the junk about the kids being upset that daddy's leaving when that's not what the kids were upset about. They were upset about the paps there.

  103. Strange video. Cried when I first saw it. Watch it twice more and then got angry.
    Doggone right it is staged.
    1. It is the voice of Jon's pap friend. Remember? The one that he used to let up at the house to do photos.
    2. Jon never once, looks at him and says "Back off."
    3. Jon can't hear over the pap's motorbike so has to roll up the window.
    4. He know doggone well that pap is standing there. So what does he do? He walks around the van and leaves the frigging door open.(yep I'm steaming mad when I talk like this1)
    5. He ignores the children saying "Close the door, Daddy."
    6. The video says it is "Exclusive INF and says it was taken 'yesterday'". Not a single other pap was there. Not a one!!! Just Jon's friend. Some doggone friend.
    7. Jon follows up with Tweets: FIRST: Dropped my kids off, had a blast with them. I miss them already!! Then follows up with: "Upset that Paps were there when i(sic) dropped kids off, wish my goodbyes could be kept off camera!!"
    8. There were no PAPS plural! There was only one PAP and that was Jon's 'old friend from INF.
Please. Go watch it a second time. A third time. A fourth time. You can't do it without crying but you sure as heck hear words!!!!!
    7. Jon leaves

  104. Baby Mama I get a kick out of some of these people. They get all upset if Kate yells at the kids and will carry and remember that moment of being impatient for years and years and keep bringing it up and yet let Jon yell at the kids like he did this morning and there isn't a single peep out of them, just blasting Kate because Jon can't drop the kids off at the front door. Jon blew that privilege when he let his girlfriends on to the property and into her and the kids home. Parents get upset and yell at their kids from time to time so I'm not upset that Jon yelled at them, just the hypocrisy that Kate yells and she gets crucified but Jon yells and not a word out of them.

  105. Yes Linda it's obvious it was staged but the people that hate Kate will never believe that.

  106. OK, What is INF again? I can't remember how to find it. Duh, I want to watch that Video, it sounds crazy! Help me out here!

  107. I want to think fairly. Comments to my post required me to go back and watch again. I haven't read any of the twitter stuff. I don't know the facts. I don't know if Jon or Kate inform paps of events. I think there may have been two paps there -- one snapping the still pictures and one doing the video, one person could not do both simultaneously. I do believe that Kate made a rule (from anger or frustration) that Jon can not pick up or deliver on the property. He probably did abuse his parental rights by bringing a girlfriend onto the property. But, couldn't Kate just ask that he come alone to get the kids. Then he could go all the way up the lane to the privacy behind the newly planted trees. I don't know what triggered the kid's deep distress. I don't think that Jon should have yelled, "Enough." I did see him trying to soothe the kids. I think if he staged the event, he could have gotten much worse footage by letting the photographer closer to the interior. Mostly, we saw Jon's butt as he leaned in to hug the kids. I listed carefully -- three time -- I thought that I heard one of the boys wailing, "Daddy, don't close the door." The twins both seemed very subdued and sad. Jon gave each of them very long hugs. My opinion is that Jon and Kate need to co-operate to make visitation easier for the kids they both love. I wish to enjoy watching this special family, I don't wish to see such pain and distress.

  108. Mary Ann,
After I watched it again, I thought I heard, “Daddy don’t close the door” too and I agree about there being two paps.

    Everyone,
I also wonder if there really is a rule set by Kate or if Jon, himself, didn’t want to drive all the way, especially because he had his friend waiting there to drive him home. This could all be speculation that she made a rule about the drop off. Did I miss something? Do we know she has this rule?

  109. Hi Mary Ann. I think if he had let the pap get any closer it would have been like the bus top pickup last year when the same pap (same voice) was shooting the interior of the car with the twins after Jon left the door open. The twins at that time, asked him to "Dad, please go. Dad close the door."

Unfortunately, yes you can do video and stills with just one photographer. Take a look at the video of Kate at the organic market putting the groceries into the trunk. You sight and begin the video camera looking into the viewfinder on the top; it's on a strap on your neck and camera rests on your chest. Then you use the still camera to shoot.

You can hear his motorscooter putt putt as he rolls up to door and back on left side. He's got his feet on the ground to balance and then is moving up and back. Short break until Jon gets to other side of van and opens door. Camera man follows car through fence - nobody else in forward view. Camera man swings following Jon to other car - nobody else in view in other direction.

We have no idea what Jon said on the phone. We have no idea if Kate was even there or not. We don't know if he asked the nanny to come to the gate to get the car.

We do know that Jon never asked him to stop. He never even glared at him.

  110. Oh, we did hear Jon apologize to the pap for rolling up the window so he could "call the house." Why, would you do that and not say, "Back off." I owe my kids a heck of a lot some than I'd ever owe some jerk paparazzi, even if he'd paid me.

  111. Linda,

Good point about the still shots and the video footage happening simultaneously.

  112. Thanks for the clarifying lesson on photography. I didn't know.

  113. Divorce is nasty. Kids have a very hard time with turnovers. My kids loved me and they also loved their father. They want to be with BOTH parents. Little kids cry and it breaks your heart. Every time. It doesn't get easier.

Parents can prepare kids by saying things such as, "It's been great to be with you and we'll be together again in two weeks and do something fantastic. Let's both count the days and think about the fun time we'll have." This reassures that you will be back and you'll both look forward to it.

Or, parents can say, "Oh my God I'm gonna miss you so much it breaks my heart and I just want to cry." (ok my ex did this until His friend actually told him it was a jerk thing to do and made kids cry.)

You look for ways to make the turnover easier. It amazes me how many people blamed Kate for this. Just amazing. The last custody agreement laid out visitation, terms etc. We don't really even know if Jon didn't say something like "It's easier for me to say goodbye at the gate with kids in van than leave them at the house." Yes, Kate could have said, "You cannot do this." We just don't know.

We do know that Jon had Michael Lohan there, Kate's brother and sister-in-law, a group of his family and friends for a cookout - - those things after the divorce. We do know that before the divorce we had the photos of Deanna sunbathing, Stephanie babysitter gate, paparazzi in the back field area with the yard equipment shots.

Who knows?? We don't. It still just breaks your heart. Perhaps a judge/mediator will suggest that the transfer take place in an enclosed paparazzi free area.

  114. We have a small video production and marketing company. All of the camera operators use both video and still cameras. I've seen some of them also with a third camera around the neck hanging on the back so they can swop out still camera bodies with close up and medium to long telephoto lenses. I'm not coordinated enough to do that but they do. Their job is to get the shots. (My little iPhone will take both movies and stills although not at the same time but probably an app to do that also.) Paparazzi get paid for footage shot and sold; they don't want to miss an opportunity.

  115. To those who are saying that the kids tears prove that they would rather be with Jon - how do they know that they don't cry when Kate leaves them? Kate doesn't get paid by the paps so I guess we will never know, and rightfully so.

  116. Welcome SarahJ! You are soo true! The fact that nasty ignornat JW still tries to post here even though shes such a psycho speaks volumes. People want to hate Kate so much, that they think the kids are crying because they hate their mother.. Are you kidding me? It's called missing their father. My kids do it every day and we are a loving happy family
