Quick Stop Book Tour, Why All The Kate Hate? More With Billy Bush on AC, KeepKate.com

Hello Gosselin Fans! It's "movie week" on Dancing With The Stars"! And even though I love George Lopez, he has a good idea. He has set up a web  site called KeepKate.com to keep Kate Gosselin as his guilty pleasure on the show. For his take and a good laugh you can see the clip below and check out his site. Hey, you do what you gotta do! I may not be happy with the way he makes fun of her, but he does have a point!

Why The Kate Hate?: Gather.com by Kiki Dahlke
Why is America having a hate affair with Kate Gosselin? She seems, at times to generate more controversy then the health care bill. But, why? From what I can read, Kate’s parenting skills, attributes as a wife, employment choices and personality are embedded under the skin of the Kate haters. For the life of me I can’t figure out why. Here’s a women who is rearing eight children, two sets of multiples mind you, who appear to be pretty darn well-balanced kids. She manages to feed, cloth, and nurture them all within the boundaries of a legal day’s work and all she is met with is criticism. Author of parenting books, family friendly reality show, Dancing with the Stars, these hardly scream detrimental behavior. Is it because she’s not a movie star? Why are accusation of craving attention and wanting the good life being throw at Kate because she works in the entertainment industry? Don’t we all want attention? Don’t we all want to be successful? I think Kate’s been pretty intuitive with finding ways to use her skill set to support her family. Giving birth to twins then sextuplets isn’t an everyday event, and finding yourself in that situation has to lead to monumental changes in your life. The realities of supporting a large family in today’s economically depressed times may require creatively thinking outside the box. It doesn’t appear Jon, Kate’s ex-husband, is in any hurry to be gainfully employed, so someone has to bring home the bacon. Isn’t Kate entitled to reach for the brass ring and see what opportunities lay ahead of her? If Kate were not a public figure and was employed as a high profile executive for some fortune 500 company that required her to jet set the world, would the public be equally critical of her? She would more likely be praised for being a powerful, liberated woman. So, what is really behind the Kate Hate, please America explain it to me.
Kate Gosselin's First Book Signing in LA For New Book: Radar.com
Kate Gosselin was all smiles Friday night as she promoted the release of her latest book, “I Just Want You To Know”, at a book signing in Los Angeles. PHOTOS: Behind The Scenes, At Kate Gosselin's LA Book Signing And RadarOnline.com was there! EXCLUSIVE VIDEO INTERVIEW: Kate Gosselin Says She's "Stronger and Wiser," Isn't Losing Weight On "Dancing" Since the reality television mom and Dancing With The Stars contestant is in the middle of a tough rehearsal week, her supportive crew came along for the appearance -- including partner Tony Dovolani. And Kate showed no signs of the strain of a tough week, in which her brother Kevin Kreider and his wife Jodi told a Pennsylvania hearing Jon & Kate Plus 8 had caused psychological damage to the Gosselin children. Wearing a deep purple dress and grey cardigan, Kate was about 15 minutes late to the Barnes and Noble book store. But the crowd of up to 50 fans were a forgiving lot and thankful for the opportunity to get some one-one-one time with the reality star.

  1. Yeah, I don't really understand the Kate hate either. Kudos to the author. I always thought that it was weird how people continually wanted her and her family to live a simple life, and not want anything more. Very strange. Anywhoo I'm glad her book signing went well and Tony showed up! Imagine the surprise of her fans!

  2. George is funny - Boy his career has blossomed. Yes, he made fun of Kate, but that's what comedians do. When a person puts themselves out there in the public eye, they are fair game for all of them. Funny stuff.

  3. Baby Mama - That's an interesting article on the hate that noted in the page header. I had not read that one. Thanks.

  4. Linda~ Thanks! I don't always get to all the goos stuff, but last night when the kids finally went to bed I was FINALLY able to get a new post up. So excited about tonight.. Did I mention MONDAYS are back!

    Good morning everyone..ugh it's Monday I know, at least we have some exciting TV to watch.

    You got my votes girl!! :)

  6. I liked that article about Kate hate. I have never been able to understand it myself, so much literal hatred focused on her. I know we have all been over this but it still baffles me. I honestly can’t think of anyone I hate. I mean, there are stars I don’t care for, or people in my life who aren’t my favorite, but I don’t have a passion to fight out against them, I’d rather just ignore them and move along.

    Anyway, I hope she does well tonight! I feel more nervous for her this week since she actually improved last week! I hope she can do as well or better!

  7. Loved the Lopez! His humor was cute - not cutting - kudos to him for that!

    Hopefully it will add to the votes Kate and Tony get this week!!!

  8. I also can't understand the hate. It's so irrational. Says a lot about the haters, I think! I certainly don't love Kate, but I don't hate her either. I simply see her as a person who happens to be a mom who is trying to do what she needs to do for her kids and herself. And YES, she does need to do things for HERSELF as well as the kids! So I say GO KATE!!

  9. I'm so happy you loved Kiki's post. Everything she said was so spot on, I really should put it in bold since it's the best thing I've seen written about Kate in a while!

    Hope~ did you go on the site yet? Too funny! I e-mailed them and asked if they could send me a banner to put on my site. FYI: George Lopez owns the domain name which is linked directly to his site which is even more odd. Maybe after the show he could sell it to me cheap. lol

  10. BM: I did. And I did a RT :)

    I also wanted to say that the article about why folks 'hate Kate' was spot on.

    No matter what Kate would choose to do - she'd be wrong in the haters eyes. If she went to work as a Nurse it would be that she's away from the kids too much and was wrong for passing up offers to be on TV where she could make larger amounts of money in a shorter time!

    I don't read any other gosselin blogs (used to about a year ago but it got so ugly I just couldn't stomach it) -- but I watched people complain about her doing something or not doing it - then when she would do whatever it was they had been saying she should do - they found something about HOW she did it to be unhappy with. It's crazy!

    ReplyDelete
  11. Oh and I agree, Lopez was hilarious and not mean spirited at all.

  12. This will be long, so I apologize. This is for JW. First of all, the things you have said and done in regards to the Kate fans is illegal. The FBI will find you, and you will be punished. It is no different then a terrorist. You are using fear and threats to scare someone and to try and force your beliefs upon them. Simple as that. Did you ever think about that? You are a terrorist. Hows that make you feel. I am not a Kate "fan". I watched her show with my wife and felt like she was sort of mean to Jon. But, if you were a fly on the wall of almost any marriage in this county, you would also think the same thing about alot of men and women. But I can say this for sure, she is very smart. She has handled this whole blow up situation with class and intelligence. She has not bad mouthed anyone including Jon, whom no one can argue has not made ANY smart decisions. She has done nothing wrong since, including working. If you are so against her working, then get on all the fan sites of sports stars, movie stars, music stars, politicians, and the list can go on and on...and bash them for the way they make a living and being away from their kids. She is just being made an example of by people because they are jealous of her. Simple as that. You should really have better things to do in your life besides threatening people over a celebrity. I spent 12 years in the Army and 15 months in Iraq fighting people who made it their goal to terrorize and scare people because they disagreed with them. Those people are sad, pathetic people, who will find they will not succeed with hatred and fear. I hope you really re-think your attitude and stance on threatening people, or you will find it will consume and ruin your life. Good luck to Kate on her career and in taking care of her family.

  13. Good afternoon everyone! cade.eleven~ welcome!

    Sad to say that there are some serious sick tickets out there that think they know you or even a celebrity and take things to a whole different level. Heck I'm not even famous yet! lol you just brash it off and try to do exactly what Kate does. It makes you stronger and more deterimned to g oout there and do the best you can in life when people think they can knock you down!

    I have been doing this for longer than almost any of them. Names & fights come and go on the web. Its those few that have stayed here and enojyed the ride that are the reason I still this blog. NO ONE is going to damper my great day today and my excitement for tonight. Thank to all of you great readers. I feel the love and got your backs!

  14. Haven't posted in a while.... Been trying to keep up with reading the massive responses to a few older posts. LOL. Thanks for keeping me up to date.

    Loved watching Kate have a mini break through last Monday. She had my votes via text. Thank goodness for your Tweet Baby Mama... or I would have completely forgotten to vote!! I cant wait to see what she has in store for us tonight!

    I wish Kate's brother and sister-in-law would just leave her alone. Her kids are obviously normal happy healthy kids. Why not ask the film crew about how well adjusted her kids are??

    Has anyone noticed that the older sound guy for J&K+8 is on 19 Kids and Counting?? I wonder if they cycle them around?

    Welcome Cade.Eleven. Thanks for your service to this wonderful country. Glad you came home alive. Your family is extremely blessed!! Thanks for your post too. I believe your spot on!!

  16. Well as I said earlier, I am not a "fan" like most here. I do respect her alot, and pull for her to do well. I feel she has done nothing deserving of the criticism she receives. My wife however, KatherineDenise is a huge fan of hers, and it bothers me to hear the things she tells me about Kate haters. Especially the ones who go over the line with threats. Kate is VERY smart. She may have just been a mother, whose situation was different than the average parent (6 kids at once) But she made it work, and now has learned amazing tact after becoming a celebrity. She knows when to keep her mouth shut when someone tries to lead her down a negative road. She knows how to handle herself in public, and she can sit back and make fun of herself a bit about dancing etc. She has learned fast how to be a professional. Athletes could learn something from her, and the way she handles herself. No bad publicity, except for the stuff conjured up to bring her misfortune somehow. She will continue to do fine, and the haters will continue to hate. I do find it fun to see how well she rises above all the garbage thrown in her direction though...because that is impressive. Good luck to her and all her fans.

  17. Ya know, it kills me. All this controversy over a little housewife from PA with a few more kids than most of us. Get over it people!! Great article Babymama! Thanks for sharing. I love this site, but really appreciate when you keep the likes of JW out. Makes for a much pleasanter conversation. Pulling for Kate tonight as always.

    I'm so excited about tonight.. For some reason I think shes going to perform earlier than normal. What song were they dancing to?

    ReplyDelete
  23. I am excited for tonight I even got a friend to agree to vote for Kate tonight. I am waiting on the mail to see if my book comes.
    I was rereading Multiple Blessings and felt some sadness about Uncle Kevin's behavior after they gave Joel his middle name and I had a kind of aha moment. I have a theory of where the rumors of Kate refusing to allow the Kreiders to be paid by tlc. In the Joy Behar interview kate says she stopped allowing them acess to her children because they were going on shows etc to make money off of what was happening in her living room. I think that is why Kate said she didn't wantthem making money off her family and it had nothing to do with tlc. They then got mad and rumors spread from there. They were on from the first episode. And a lot during the time right before therumors started flying. I strongly doubt they would have stayed on for soo long if they felt it was soo exploitive. That angle came when it started making them money. I do believe that what comes around goes around and some day people will get their due.

  24. Hey Baby Mama!

    I've been trying to keep up-to-date on the Gosselin stuff... Kate has been so busy this week on so many shows. I read some of the interviews and saw a few short clips but it's too much to watch all at once! lol. I have one comment I will make about something she said... as soon as I compile it. ;)

    My 20-year-old nephew came out to visit us on Wednesday and stayed through the weekend. My husband and I are a big part of his life, as well as his 19-yr-old brother and 18-yr-old sister, as their father was killed when the youngest was 6-months-old. It's aweseome that he still just wants to come out to hang out with his aunt and uncle and see his little cousins. They adore him and he is so good with them. We had a great time, but no time for Jon and Kate. lol.

    He's going to come back out to go with us to take the girls to Dutch Wonderland. We get the season passes, we usually stay over 2 nights and go three days in a row. We do that at least once a month. They love it. So that's one plan this summer. We do the usual... mini golf, lay by the pool for days on end, and outlet shop! Anything outdoors is fun and if it includes shopping even better. I miss the beaches in Long Island though. We used to go to Robert Moses a lot. You ever go there? Will you be going to Dutch Wonderland too? It opens in May.

    All of that is just to hold us over until Disney! I'd wish they'd come out with the Fall Specials already.

    I don't know what song Kate is dancing to tonight. They never said, that I know of. I just know it's the fox trot and it's a movie theme.

  25. Friday, April 9th:

    Clad in a short black cocktail dress with silver embellishments and black strappy high-heel sandals, Kate Gosselin spoke about her upcoming TLC show, Twist of Kate, at the Discovery Communications' NYC Upfront Thursday.

    As for her own kids, Gosselin said she's "thrilled" to announce they'll be returning to TV. For some specials this year, she said they'll be "taking some fun trips and having some great adventures. They're very excited."

    http://www.usmagazine.com/moviestvmusic/news/kate-gosselin-my-kids-are-very-excited-to-be-on-tv-again-201094

    ---------------------------------------
    Yet, I just read this today:

    Monday, April 19:

    Kate Gosselin can't wait to hit the road with her kids for TLC's travel special "Kate Plus 8" this summer, but the children are on a need to know basis.

    Gosselin admitted to PopcornBiz that while the world knows about the show, she has held off telling her younger co-stars (especially the six five-year-olds). She figures waiting until the last minute will help her keep her sanity.

    "I don't want to tell them yet truthfully because I'll be bugged to death," Gosselin says. "It's the Mom in me, I'm sorry."

    If the kids find out a cross-country trip is in the offing, Gosselin knows she'll hear a refrain of "when are we going?" until they are finally on the road.

    Gosselin joked she might hold off until they are actually packing. "It'll be like, 'Mom, why are you packing?' It's because we're going away."

    TLC announced the travel special for the famous single-mom and her sextuplet/twin family last week during press junkets with the media and advertisers.

    While issues with ex-husband Jon Gosselin have temporally shelved a regular show of "Kate Plus 8," the network is moving ahead with a series of irregular travel specials.

    She says the kids will be thrilled. "We love traveling and seeing the world and learning."
    http://www.nbcnewyork.com/blogs/popcornbiz/Kate-Gosselin-Hasnt-Told-the-Kids-About-Their-New-Travel-Show-91448299.html

    **************************************************

    So is it just me? Doesn't this sound contradictory? She says they are very excited to do the show and then she says she never told them yet. Am I missing something?

  26. There's got to be some advantages to being one of the hardest working single moms in Hollywood!

    Kate Gosselin and her adorable brood received one of them at Disneyland in Anaheim, CA, on Saturday, receiving the full VIP treatment and RadarOnline.com can bring you the exclusive shots.

    EXCLUSIVE PHOTOS: Kate And Kids At Disney

    Not everyone was pleased though when Kate, her bodyguard and 8 kids were whisked to the front of the line at all of the rides. An eyewitness tells RadarOnline.com that some of the people waiting in line were very vocal about their disapproval.

    PHOTOS: Kate Gosselin Returns To L.A.

    "Kate and her entourage were being escorted by Disney personnel," the eyewitness says. "They were taking them right to the front of the lines, and as it was a Saturday it was really busy and the lines were long. Some people had been waiting hours in the lines and weren't happy to see Kate taken straight to the front.

    "A lot of people were saying, 'who does she think she is?' and were booing her. But she obviously had some fans in line as some people were shouting out 'we love you Kate!'

    PHOTOS: Jon Gosselin Says Goodbye To His Dogs

    "She looked pretty stressed and tired, but she's definitely a hands on mom, she was holding hands with the children and was interacting and cuddling all of them - it's obvious she really loves those kids.

    "She left early as the park was getting really crowded and fans kept approaching her and bothering her. I think she was sick of the attention and had hoped she would just be able to spend the day hanging out with her kids."

  28. So the kids were in CA over the weekend. Maybe they will be in the show tonight?

    ReplyDelete
  29. Wow. Radar Online was allowed to film Kate in DisneyLand? Isn't that kind of odd? Are they selling ROL the story and pics?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Schmecky I think she told them that the cameras are going to come back In a more abstract sense but not when or where they will go and I think it is because they will get too excited. Iremember when we had to use pig Latin in front of Bre because she couldn't wait once she heard about something and if it diet work out she'd cry. I am excited about the neat things that your family will do this summer.

    ReplyDelete
  31. They were filming at the book signing too, she said "hello radar!"

    ReplyDelete
  32. I am sooo happy for Kate and the kids. I was hoping she would get to spend some time with them in California. GO Kate Go. Thank you Schmecky for sharing. I know there is controversy about them going in front, but she does have limited time at this point. Maybe the kids will be in the audience tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Tashapork,

    Thanks! I can't wait until school is out. I'm not a morning person unless it's for something fun!

    Yeah, I'm not sure I get exactly what Kate told the kids. From the first quote it seems she told them they will be filming again and going on fun trips and they are very excited. No? I guess she just told them that and is not telling them exactly where and/or when? I guess you can piece it together like that and it would make sense. Too bad I can't interview Kate and question her to death. lol. Not literally! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  34. Denise,

    The book signing is one thing. They'd want the "publicity" for that. But Disney Land? It's the kids vacation. They should not be there for that. IMO. Also, why would Disney Land allow them in to film or take pics unless Kate and/or TLC wanted them there.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Schmecky~ We did Dutch Wonderland last year & had a blast. We did a weekend thing. We want to do Hershey this year & Sesame Place. Looking into 1 night cheap rates for hotels. My husband really doesnt want to do a weekday thing, but weekends they are so crowded!

    Free dining codes have already come out for Disney Starting at the and of Aug. let me know if you need any info for the fall..And thanks for all the great articles..

    ReplyDelete
  36. SG, I am actually agreeing with you, they seem to be hand in hand.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Schmecky, I think you would do a great interview with Kate. You have a good sense of how to phrase things.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Hey SG, Nice to see you;)
    Just wondering, is there any chance that ROL was following them & took the shots?

    ReplyDelete
  39. I think its terrible if people were pissed that a celebrity was going to the front of all the lines..HELLO? A celebrity is going to wait for hours being hounded by people? What are the perks of being a celebrity if you don't at least get to the front of the line..Of course she needs securuty.. I need security just from the trolls that come on this site!

    I am so happy for the kids that they got to go to Disneyland. Went last year and had a blast! Of course I took my blog off moderation so everyone can chat and a b&*ch from RWA came on and flooded the blog with crap. See its a year later and they are still out there not taking their meds...

    ReplyDelete
  40. Yeah, Im thinking they were. It seems that they are everywhere lately including DWTS..What they heck? I'm surwe thats where they got the info from. The rumor that I am now applying to Radar.com is FALSE lol

    ReplyDelete
  41. Lol at Schmecky. I wish you could interview her for the questions. I trust you to report it accurately if you were interviewing Jon or Kate.

    It makes you wonder about snarking of Kate not being with the Kids and off again leaving them at home. She was with them in CA! Did ROL miss the whole flying out? Hmm.

    Schmecky, Baby Mama, and others - how many times have you had "line jumpers" at Disney on either coast? I can't ever remember a time I didn't experience it. Can you imagine the chaos if they'd waited in line? Or security risks to children in waiting?

    ReplyDelete
  42. Even though Kate is getting the royal treatment, she doesn't look one bit happy to be there. JMO!

    Tx SG, for the news, maybe the kids will be in the audience tonight but I doubt it.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Yes, when I'm waiting in line after hours and see someone try to sneak in or all those people on fast pass I do want to lynch someone. But if it was a celebrity. Its totally cool. This is actually how I met my first husband Joey Fatone from INSYNC. Yes I'm showing my age. Met him in Disney and it was the happies day of my life. Wish I could show you all the shots of me and my love ;)

    ReplyDelete
  44. *waves to momsby
    Thanks Tashapork and Linda... Can you imagine!?!? Yes I would be fair. And I'd be respectful... As much as I could. Lol.

    Oh and someone pointed out to me that a fan may have submitted those pics to ROL so they may not have been there themselves. Good point.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Trust me its hard to go to Disney with two or three kids. I think we need to think about 8 kids, security, nannies and whoever else trying to get on the Dumbo ride.. Ok who has to go to the bathroom, who is thirsty..

    Who doesnt want to go on this ride, who is hot, who wants this toy, whoes feet hurt, who got juice on their shirt who wants to go back to the hotel etc etc..

    ReplyDelete
  46. And we have to think about going to Disney with 8 kids. Going with 2 or three is a nightmare. Lets add 8 kids, several nannies, security and anyone else that they need, all trying to get on the same Dumbo ride...

    Now who is tired, who doesnt want to go on this ride, who is missing out on that ride, who is hungry, whoes feet are tired, who needs to go to the bathroom.

    Who needs to go back to the hotel, where is Aiden? Collin stop biting your tongue, Maddy is thirsty again, Hannah missed her favorite ride, Alexis wants to say hi to the princess..You get the idea.

    If Kate doesnt look happy if may be that shes focused, or shes blacking out, or shes fustrated, tired or angry. Either way, she is still my suspermom! lol

    ReplyDelete
  47. I do know that having a child with autism we could get special passes to go the front of the lines. People resented us too.

  48. Celebrity's & their kids always get V.I.P. treatment at places. I think that's what's ticking some people off. Unlike the last time when they were filming...this time they are just considered Very Important Peopl,tee hee hee.

  52. Celebrities deserve to get certain treatment. Their whole lives are forever changes in most instances because of their celebrity status. They cannot go to the grocery store and shop like a normal person...Disney Land, Church etc. While there is the argument that they in most cases accepted fame from whatever reason, that does not mean they should not be afforded BASIC privileges over a non celebrity. I was at Disney when I was younger, and have been to many other parks, carnivals, places where I stood in line myself or with my children. I would have had no issue with someone in any of these instances cutting in front of me due to special circumstances. Celebrities in a line, waiting like normal is begging for attention, and possible congestion or over crowding in that area. Plus, how much time are you really losing because they were allowed to go before you. They are not more important than anyone, they are just under a different set of circumstances then most. If everyone was the same, then no one would be different. Its life.

  53. I meant to say horrid...Im trying to watch the show, help my eldest do homework, get my little one's bottle, re-heat my husbands dinner...

    This is the night I pray that she dances late.

  54. OMG. What is up with the wardrobe people at DWTS???

    My son is watching with me and when she walked out he went "Oh my god mom - she looks like an Easter egg".

    *sigh* everyone else looks so awesome and that dress she is wearing.... :(

    ReplyDelete
  55. Just venting here. I think most people dream of becoming a celebrity so that they can get the extra perks and dollars. When someone breaks out of the mundane and becomes a celebrity (eg: J&K)all of a sudden people turn against them. Do we really want Kate going back to nursing? I am a nurse and I don't know any nurses that would turn down a book signing tour or dancing (no matter how crappy) to work 8 or 12 hour shifts, weekends, nights, evenings, or even holidays? Would people be happy if Kate worked Christmas??? I think Kate has an opportunity to live the American Dream and now that she is, she is being chastized for it.

  56. cade*eleven~ so true, you have always have the right words to say..People make the biggest deal out of the tiniest things when your tired, hot and hungry!

  57. facinated~ I don't care how much I hate someone, if I was given that many freebies, I would actually get a fake (not real I'm afraid of needles) tattoo of "I love freebies" on my butt. I would smile and say thank you and love and enjoy every trip, every event, every Cole Haan & Ann Taylor wedge. I wouldn't give a rats behind if there was 2,000 blogs writing about it.

    Because at the end of the day, the computer gets shut off. And you go to bed enjoying the fantastic vacation and spa day, while admiring your new shoes. Thats a fact I could only dream about..

    ReplyDelete
  58. LOL! I can't see her yet but you all are cracking me up. Baby Mama you called Kate "Hate". Lol. At lest I get to ff the commercials.

    I've only seen people with disabilities and children from Make A Wish get ahead of me. I will gladly wait in line and not complain if the only way to get in first is to have a child with health issues. I rarely wait in lines when I go anyway... I go in low season. But I'm not sure how I would feel if I was on a long line and Kate jumped ahead of me and my girls. I really can't say.

  59. That is why I love this site. I get drained by the haters, I come here, and my cup is re-filled everytime. Thank you BabyMama and everyone else for your rejuvenating discussions, especially the personal ones, it is great to see the human side of people as well.

  61. I AM SO EXCITED! I love this song. I hope they don't butcher it...

    ReplyDelete
  62. Oh, no here we go. The dance was ok. But, it was not last weeks dance.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I think she looks cute. I loved the song.

  64. "Eight Little Faces Just stripped Brunos Car"

    LOVE IT!
    Yeah yeah I know I know.....Poor Kate

    ReplyDelete
  65. My husband says they just got their floor cleaned..He is not very supportive tonight..lol He's just cranky I think. I thought she did really great. Hey the woman isn't the greatest dancer, but I admit I was hoping for more...

    ReplyDelete
  66. Denise- I thought she looked cute. She was dressed like the 80's. It could have been a little sexier, but I thought it was cute.

    LOL:) Bruno's car. He needs to get some tact about himself.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Schmecky~ YES I DID SAY HATE! haha I was channeling the trolls as I sink into depression that she wasnt as good as last week. Someone Get George Lopez on the phone!

    ReplyDelete
  68. Wow. Never thought I'd feel like I do right now - but after watching the clip of her and Tony practicing - then watching them dance - for the first time - I feel like Kate isn't putting her 'all' into it? I dunno.

    To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. :(

    ReplyDelete
  69. Just got my 2 youngest in bed in time to see Kate dance...I think she did much better last week. She seemed very slow and unsure of the steps.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Well having the kids here this week I don't think helped her. But honestly she just needed to get a bit more into it..Yeah, it's not looking good this week, but I say that every week....Get those votes in I guess and pray!

    ReplyDelete
  71. you can phone in, vote on the computer and text VOTE to 3410. Yeah, she will be saved by the skin on my chin this week I think...

    ReplyDelete
  72. Ok - so that I am fair - her hair and makeup looked amazing :)

    Hopefully George L's people will come through in the vote department for her this week!

    ReplyDelete
  73. You are all cracking me up. My twins said, mom, Mom,MOM!!! That guy is on that stage with no clothes!!! Did he forget his costume. I said, no his mom just wasn't there to remind him. Lol.
    Also, in their opinion Kate was great. Don't know, maybe they're really long lost Gosselins.
    As for me. Love you Kate, honey but if you stay, it's only because...Baby Mama bought 100 more cell phones! I didn't have enough coupons to buy that many. Darn. Can't use hubby's, he's at his other home. Home Depot. Can you still call after show tonight.

    I really needed to laugh. Thanks to all of you great folks for being so funny. I don't do southern often, but tonight y'all are all just hoots!!!

    ReplyDelete
  74. Oops. It wasn't as good, but no sooo terrible. It needed a little more "dancing" like last week. VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  75. She didn't even TRY to show some energy, I'm beyond annoyed!
    I don't know what was worse, her dancing or her wardrobe...the costumer must not be a fan, clearly.

    Kate, you need to do something you enjoy. I'm begging you.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Well, I for one, do not care how good she is, or what she does. She is A+ in my book. If she falls on the floor next week she is still getting all my votes.

    GO KATE!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  77. Kate needs to give in and trust Tony - and let go - and just do what he tells her to do - which I know is hard for her. She overanalyzes it - which is the same problem I think I would have - but after last week - I had hoped that she finally got it that Tony can teach her to dance!

    Kate has seemed 'off' throughout the show tonight in general IMO? Even in some of the shots where they are just in the background - she just seemed off? Anybody else pick up on that?

    And if Kate does make it through tomorrow night - she needs to become a freakin' DIVA with whomever is doing her dresses for this contest!!!!!!

    I also think they pick the best of all the other dancers for the recaps - and then pick the absolute worst moment of Kate and Tony's dance for the recap at the end of the show! That ticks me off - because it just seems so intentional (I've noticed it in other weeks, too)

    ReplyDelete
  78. Ok - I need to ask this question. Is this DWTS season different - in how the 'stars' are practicing and such? I don't see tons of improvement really - I don't see anyone losing weight - and all of them seem to occupied with other obligations that they are complaining week after week about how little time they had to learn their new dance??

    ReplyDelete
  79. Shelly~ Fall on the floor, I'm freakin DYING over that one it was so funny.

    raemi kaye~ I'm with you. I was mad too.. I was hoping for more, was hoping shewould do like last week, glimmers of hope...But I'm with Shelly! She could mop the floor with herself and light Carrie Ann's dress on fire because Bruno was pissing her off and Carrie was "WHA WHA WHA-ing" and I would still vote for her..Why? Because I can ;)

    ReplyDelete
  80. No, it's no different. Donny Osmond for instance still was performing in Vegas last for last season's DWTS, and he won the Mirrorball.

    You reap the rewards if you do find more time to practice. Kelly Osborne lost quite a bit of weight and gained respect from everyone everywhere.

    I'm really surprised Kate is still around actually. Usually, no matter HOW famous, the bad dancers go first. What I can take from this is that Kate has people who have made it their mission in life to keep her on. They don't care about the dancing, only Kate. Whatever, to each his own.

    ReplyDelete
  81. I did not see it yet, but it sounds like it was not very good? Oh, darn she seemed to be having such a good time last week. The poor woman really must be exhausted & stressed to the max!!!

    ReplyDelete
  82. Hope said...
    And if Kate does make it through tomorrow night - she needs to become a freakin' DIVA with whomever is doing her dresses for this contest!!!!!!
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    LOL that is so funny!!
    I thought her dress was pretty but the bow in her hair not so much but also understand she was channeling the 80s. I just feel for her, you can tell shes so distracted and exhausted. She had alot going on this week with the book tour and then the kids coming out to CA. This is why we love her cause she does it all and then some. All 60 of my vote are in :)
    ReplyDelete
  83. I'll fill you in momsby:
    She smiled, she didn't look stressed, she just looked like she'd rather take it easy.
    Her dancing looks like a practice run-through...the kind you do when you're SAVING your energy for later, if you get what I mean.
    She did a dance move and then walked a little, leg lift, walk a little...
    It almost put me to sleep, but then I got so annoyed. Because the clips of her REAL practice sessions showed far more energy.
    ReplyDelete
  84. All of Kate's dances seem to look the same, no matter WHICH dance she is doing. Uncanny.
    I feel kind of bad for Tony, he must be dying to be let loose and DANCE.
    ReplyDelete
  85. Raemi kaye- You are so right. "TO EACH HIS OWN". It is a free country and we all can vote for who we want. Was I happy with her performance tonight? NO! But, I do not know if I could do any better. But, you can bet I would pray and beg to stay on everyweek. I admire Kate for her will power.
    If they give me a chance, I would haul my no-talent a** around the floor. You know why? Because the economy sucks, we have had to transfer 800 miles for my husband to keep his job, I have a 5 year old $250K house sitting in Louisiana empty and won't sale, and now I have another mortgage in the new state. Oh, and by the way, my kids are grown. TLC and DWTS please call me I have 3 cute puppies to film. I need help. Oh no, now the hate blogs are going to say I am exploiting my dogs.
    ReplyDelete
  86. I agree, the bow and the dress was a horrible mess. I onl got to see Kate and then Nicole. I was being pulled 10 ways. My kids have a usual bedtime routine and when I messed it up, it's all crying and downhill from there..
    Holy smoke!! Go onto savekate.com and see what that idiot Steve-O is doing to help the Kate Gosselin cause. He actually stapled "vote for Kate Gosselin" on his chest & his private parts on little index cards.stapled onto his chest. I'M NOT KIDDING thats some dedication! Seriously what an idiot.
    ReplyDelete
  87. She got my same votes. I just think it's been fabulous to get to watch her!! Win or boot, I'm glad to have gotten to do that with my kids.
    ReplyDelete
  88. I agree Linda... My husband was getting so annoyed with my son and I because we kept turning the hockey game during commercials to watch DWTS, and when they finally were getting ready to show kate, he said do we really have to watch this, and in unison my son and I both said yes!
    ReplyDelete
  89. SchmeckyGirl: Do you you read the Mousesavers website? Usually the most current discount codes are located there. Sounds like you have some fun travel coming up!
    A friend of mine used to work for WDW as a cast member and said one day they were told the park was closing early for a VIP guest to enjoy the park privately. Turns out it was Michael Jackson. I guess not every celeb has to deal with the crowds LOL. It's probably also a lot harder to shut down Disneyland than WDW since it's smaller. Nonetheless I'm glad the Gosselins got to go. I had a feeling Kate would take them there at some point.
    As for my trip last month, the weather was awful both in Orlando and in the Bahamas when we went on the Disney Wonder. So, i think we made need a do-over in the Fall LOL. However, I did get my Disney Dooney & Bourke bag:) SG and BM make sure to check those out when you go--limited edition!
    I've never watched DWTS before this season but I have to admit I now see a significant difference between Kate and the other dancers. I do think some of the others have been improving over time.
    ReplyDelete
  90. Ok, tried voting via phone just now. It's 11:50pm Eastern and it says the polls are closed. I hung up and tried again. Same message. I tried a 3rd time and same message.
    What is up with that??
    ReplyDelete
  91. Heather...
    Yep. I know all the DW sites. No Nov specials yet. I want free Dining plus Kids stay free! and adults too! Lol.
    I heard about M. Jackson but I think he paid for it.
    As crazy as I am about Disney World I don't wear anything Disney etc but I'm sure the DB bag is cute. I'll look for it...
    ReplyDelete
  92. Tigger...
    I think it's only till 30 minutes past the show that you can vote by phone.
    ReplyDelete
  93. I agree Schmeckygirl, they need free dining, kids and adults stay free, and with that free airfare, park admissions, and suveniers,lol. I'd have a blast.
    ReplyDelete
  94. Have you seen the Disney Dooney bags? I like them but my friends don't. They are just "jealus". It's a bit quiet so far on the West Coast feed..Maybe people are just stunned by the rediculous bow they put in Kate's hair. Her and Pam should have switched costumes. I liked her faux Burberry so much better!
    ReplyDelete
  95. Omg my BB signed me out when I hit post comment. I will retype tomorrow. *sigh
    ReplyDelete
  96. BM and Schmecky,
    Isn't what Kate used the Disney VIP pass? Last year when i was watching like some Season of Disney Special these families paid for a VIP tour who would get them in front of the lines and find them good seats at shows. Maybe that's what Kate used? It doesn't bother me that they had to jump the lines at all, if you have status in society you get preferential treatment. No point in trying to argue that point and i don't really see the problem with that. We live in an unequal society, so unless people are going to have a revolution, there really is no point in getting mad over spilled milk. I think it's rude people booed her around her kids! how horrible! It's rude, people need manners.
    And I too thought of the idea that JW was a terrorist. So i'm glad cade.eleven said it.
  98. Ugh. My last post didn't got through for some reason last night. Oh well.
    It simply said: Even though I was disappointed -- we ALL voted KATE. :)
    I got up this morning - and read the posts that were made after I went to bed - and YOU GUYS JUST HAD TO BRING UP DISNEY!!! LOL
    I've been trying NOT to think about Disney because I was getting to dang excited - and our trip isn't until JULY! Now I'm all way too excited again!! LOL
    ReplyDelete
  99. On voting -- you can vote up until 11 p.m. est via phone and text - but you can vote until 11 a.m. the NEXT MORNING on the DWTS webpage voting. (They announced that last week I believe)
    ReplyDelete
  100. I am just reading this morning and you ladies are making me LMAO. When I first saw Kate come out I said to myself, that dress makes her look slimmer, I liked it but not the color. Then Hopes' son said she looked like a n Easter Egg, LOL. Sooo funny.
    Well, about the dance??? Reminds me of what George said, I Robot movie, she's back to moving stiff again. Ahhh! She said she couldn't dance and yes we know that. I still say her Fans are going to carry her another week or so. As for her facial expression before and during interviews, she looked so unintused sp?, maybe so tired that she didn't care to participate one way or another. Maybe she is giving out vibes, and hints that she wants to be done. I don't know. As for Tony, he just looked sad!!
    What was Jake supposed to be portraying with no pants on? I didn't get that at all??
    ReplyDelete
  101. Migonne - I don't know if Kate and kids bought or got freebie VIP passes at Disney. For WDW's 25th anniversary, they gave out thousands of VIP passes daily to lucky park goers. They did it daily for a whole year. So many people asked that they be able to buy the VIP passes, that they started the VIP program for purchase. Among the extra perks, you get to scoot up to the head of the line. However, both Disney parks still give away free VIP passes to any number of celebs, for a variety of reasons, good publicity etc. It's a tough economy even for Disney.
    By the way, Disney is still giving away free passes of another type. You can volunteer in many of your local areas at a variety of approved charities, among them Habitat for Humanity. In return, Disney gives you a free day pass. I believe you can only earn 1 but folks that is a free day given for loving your fellow mankind enough to give back. I just saw another tv ad for this recently featuring Miss Piggy and Kermit so IMO it's probably still valid.
    I'm on the iPhone now so I can't cut and paste the link. Perhaps one of the others here will post it.
    ReplyDelete
  102. I like Kate and all, but I think she needs to go. I admire her even going on the show. Some people have the aptitude for dance, some don't. Kate just can't seem to let go. I was really hoping for more from her. Oh well!
    Did you all see after they got their scores, Kate said something that the mic didn't pick up, and Tony looked annoyed with what she said. I wonder what she said... hmmm...
    ReplyDelete
  103. Jake was 'redoing' the scene from Risky Business -- where the guy (Tom Cruise) is in a white dress shirt - dancing around playing an air guitar.....
    Um.....Jake is no Tom Cruise...... LOL
    ReplyDelete
  104. I think this is the end of the road for Kate :(
    I voted, but, things aren't looking any better with those moves girl. She just cannot seem to loosen up and release her stress. Oh well...it was really fun while it lasted!
    ReplyDelete
  105. In my best Bruno voice: Kate, Kate Kate! That was horrible!
    Bruno said it best... she didn't dance, she strolled.
    And the dress and the bow! Yikes, not flattering at all. But her makeup was good.
    I really think Kate needs to go home. She looks like she doesn't even put forth the effort anymore. I don't know if it's just because she is too tired or because she thinks her fans will vote for her no matter what. She still has a bad attitude during practice and argues with Tony. She disregards his professional opinion. Again, it may be because she's wearing herself thin... But then you look at Niecy Nash and she practices at midnight because she is working too and she gives it her all.
    Also, I thought it was wrong of her to blame her lack of practice on the fact that her kids came out to visit (looks like they were only there on the weekend). We all know it was the book promotions... she was on tv all last week.
    I think Kate does have a sense of entitlement. She seems to feel that her fans should vote for her based on the fact that they are her fans and that her kids want her to stay... so much so that she doesn't even try.
    Poor Tony looks defeated.
    ReplyDelete
  106. The Disney VIP pass (that you can buy) is a for a tour. It may get you better seats in restaurants and shows and parades, but it doesn't give you faster access to any of the attractions/rides.
    ReplyDelete
  107. So is everyone still voting for Kate? I don't think any of her fans stopped voting for her.
    To me it seems that she will stay another week...
    ReplyDelete
  108. Thanks for the phone info........I was out all evening, didn't get home until 11:45pm. So I couldn't watch OR vote by phone. I got my 8 computer votes in though.
    Hoping to see the dance soon online.
    ReplyDelete
  109. I am so upset. It won't let me vote by phone or text because my area code is east coast but I actually live in AZ. It was already too late to vote once the show came on here. Then I tried to go vote online. It kept making me sign in but when I would hit the button it would just keep loading or processing. This went on for the entire show! So frustrated. Finally I gave up and reminded my fiancé who had a California phone number to vote. Grrr. Why is it so difficult? If she makes it through next week I will need to set an alarm at 4 pm to vote so I will be in sync with east coast time I guess?
    ps I tried to load the iphone app as well but it said it could not be purchased at this time (and it's free... hmm)
    ReplyDelete
  110. Schmecky - first, I didn't check the VIP link posted. Still out and on cell so hard to direct the links. I'm pretty sure I still have the links on home computer and if so I'll post them later. I know Disney has made a number if VIP offers. One is for a VIP tour, one is labelled a VIP ticket, another is for VIP accommodations, one for VIP dining etc. It's confusing to try to search when so many things have similar names and often in a zillion hits only most recently advertised things show up. WDW may have discontinued the VIP tickets for all I know. I do know that we had them once when we lived in FL and had the Florida residents passes.
    So I apologize for any confusion from my post.
    I haven't figured out how to have 2 apps open at same time on the cell. Nor can I copy save and then paste on the cell. Works fine on computer but not the app.
    For those living in FL, WDW has a current offer of $99 for 4 days of park admissions valid now through mid May (still get those emails)
    Has anybody checked to see if the free ticket is still available for volunteering?
    ReplyDelete
  111. Grrrr so doggone frustrating that this cell changes words trying to auto correct. When I type "of" it changes it to "if". Apologies for that.
    ReplyDelete
  112. I think I read something right after I returned from WDW that the Give A Day, Get A Day promo had reached its limit of free tickets. Not sure but I have not seen a commercial in a while, only for the 30% summer promo.
    The Disney D & B bags are only available at the parks(good marketing) and there are 5 limited edition designs in the current contract. Being a NYer, I had to get the black one with colored Mickeys all over it. The thing you wouldn't know is each bag is unique. When I told the cast member I hated purple, she went to the back room and found me a bag w/o a purple Mickey LOL. They also make wristlets for those of you who want to be more subtle. I believe they also just launched a cruise line version as well--not sure if that means they extended the contract but good news if they did.
    SG: I agree with your post about the show last night. Like 4 or 5 posts back.
    I do think Kate will go another week or two regardless of how she dances. I think the other mediocre dancers will go first like Jake and Niecy and possibly Ochocinco. JMO.
    ReplyDelete
  113. Here is the ET interview with all the DWTS dancers. Kate and Tony are first:
  114. Kate has an attractive figure. Why can't they put her in something that flatters her figure? She is not one bit overweight but her outfits make her look a bit chunky. I guess they are trying to keep it 'G' rated but surely there is something better than what they've come up with. :-/
    ReplyDelete
  115. They need to put Kate in an outfit that is waist slimming or flatters the mid-section. Almost every outfit they put her in makes her look like she has no waist. Maybe she doesn't have an hourglass figure but I've seen her in much more flattering dresses in the past.
    ReplyDelete
  116. BABY MAMA PUT A NEW POST UP...
    ReplyDelete
  117. Good Morning Everyone! I put up a new post. Please continue your discussion over there so you dont have to filter through 120 posts...;)
    I also put up the footage of yesterdays dance if you missed it. Also a cute ET Video with the whole cast. I woke up literally blind this morning. Jake Palvelka blinded me last night with his not so sessy gams in a tee...Gross lol
    SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE!
    ReplyDelete
  118. I hated hearing Kate say she 'doesn't care' what her scores are. -- I wish she would just say "I am sad my scores weren't better and I'm going to work my hieny off this week to get them higher!"
    That would be good for the kids to hear from their mom. Yes, kids, I'm doing it for you but I'm going to REALLY STEP IT UP and show you how hard work pays off! :)
    And then - after saying that - she should grab Tony and run to where the costume designers are have Tony duct tape them to a chair until they agree to give her a decent outfit to wear!!!!!! :)
    ReplyDelete
  119. I disagree with Kate's use of the VIP passes to cut through the lines and get on the rides first.
    It's NOT a good lesson for the children. Remember how (the late) Princess Diana would take her boys to amusement parks, movies, all kinds of places? She always made them wait in line.
    ReplyDelete
  120. The ladies on the View have dramatically changed their opinion of Kate as of this AM. Whoopi basically shouted at the audience that Kate sucks! And she needs to go home. Even Shari was regretting her choice to wear her Team Kate t-shirt yesterday. It wasn't pretty!
    ReplyDelete
  121. Go George! I know that he is joking around, but know I feel a little bit more confident for Kate at the results show. I really do believe that George will get Kate some votes.
