FINALLY! The Return Of Kate Plus 8! Watch Kate Gosselin On The Today Show & Australia Adventure HERE!

Kate Gosselin Gears Up For ‘Kate Plus 8,’ Talks Dating, Jon: AccessHollywood.com

Kate Gosselin may have settled into her life as a single mom, but the “Kate Plus 8” star said she hasn’t quite figured out how to date again.
“It’s just strange,” Kate told Access Hollywood in New York on Monday morning. “After this many years, to just be back out there in the world? If somebody arises, that’d be great. If not, it is what it is.” The reality TV matriarch, whose show returns to TLC for a new season on Monday night, said that part of the problem with dating is her lack of time, while the other is – with eight children at home to plan for — having a clear enough head to tune into the other person.

“It’s hard to find the time, it’s hard to go on a date, and hear somebody, blah, blah, blah-ing and you’re thinking, ‘I don’t care, I don’t care! What am I making for dinner tomorrow night?’’” Kate said.
While she has a sparse dating schedule, Kate is still in contact with her ex-husband, of course – Jon Gosselin — and she told Access the two are communicating better following their bitter 2009 divorce.
“He’s working now so he has something to focus on that’s more constructive,” Kate said. “He sees the kids.
“I have remained the same throughout,” Kate continued of her behavior toward Jon. “I want it to be peaceful, but I can only control my side of it, so I just deal with whatever he hands me and try to be positive. Generally speaking, [it] depends on the day.
“I guess it’s a lot about my attitude and this is what I have to deal with for the rest of my life, so might as well make the best of it,” she added.
As for the former couple’s children, Kate told Access the Gosselin youngsters – Maddie and Kara (the twins, born in 2000), and sextuplets Joel, Aaden, Colin, Alexis, Hannah and Leah (born in 2004), are enjoying their escapades that involve the cameras.
“The kids love it and every weekend that they’re home we have something planned. Every vacation, they look forward to it, and we still love it,” she said. “I certainly would not be needing to coerce them into this. If they didn’t love it, we wouldn’t do it any more, but they’re loving it, we’re having the most amazing experiences.”
One of those experiences – featured on Monday night’s episode – sees the Gosselin matriarch and her brood heading Down Under. “A complete dream come true,” Kate said. “To fly that far away and live that dream was just amazing. We still talk about it every day.” “Kate Plus 8” airs on TLC at 10/9 C.

  3. Kate you are so wonderful, as a mother and as woman. I greet you and your children. Halina from Poland (city: Lodz).

  4. BabyMama - Love your scent. We were trying to decide where to go for dinner. Olive Garden here we come!

Can't wait for the show. Those kids are beaming from ear to ear.

Australia looks awesome. I hope I can visit once I retire.

  5. Linda~ I wish we could sit and cook it out. We have to make that happen :)

ShortnSaszy~ I was really shocked seeing that photo and seeing the kids so comfortable with that big snake. As a mom that would have freaked me out and never happened. I would not be able to see it!

GeeWHiz~ Yum Olive Garden..Lets hear it for the soup, salad & bread sticks combo! Yeah I really slacked with this post. I will beef it up later..

    Welcome my friends from Poland!

  6. Lol, I don't want to be near a big snake a bit more than I'd want to bungee jump! Yuck!

    Welcome new posters!

  7. I wish there was a way to have a cyber pot luck. Yum Yum Yum. I am excited about tomorrow's show. I wonder how many episodes, I bet they are filming for the Duggar's hiatus which is usually about two months.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Coincidentally, I am making ground beef marsala. Hmm, I can smell it right now.

Well, Friday was an interesting day on the threads with Ziggy’s April Fools prank. LOL. The responses to Ziggy’s post were excellent. I was beginning to feel uncomfortable just reading them.

  9. Joy’s show is on at the same time as Kate +8. I am wondering why Joy would have Kate on the same night at the Kate+8. Is she hoping that the khaters will watch her show instead of TLC?

Do we count the viewers for both shows to show Kate’s relevance as a television star? I stopped watching Joy’s show after she trashed Kate, so I am interested to see how she will treat Kate on her show. (You know big mouth when the person isn’t in front of you.)

Or is she just talking about Kate? If so, then she is really hoping that the haters will watch her show because she knows that supposedly, they aren’t going to be watching TLC. LOL.

  10. I can not wait for the show tonight!

Could someone please upload it as soon as it aired? I'am from Germany and we can not see it here!

  11. Welcome Mia and Hala.

Mia - Baby Mama posts the uploads as soon as available. :)

Kate looks fantastic on the Today show. How special to be there on a day when they are also interviewing fomer first lady, Laura Bush.

    ReplyDelete
  12. AGREE LindaO~ Sorry Lauer did the usual questions, & while the news of the 8 sounded great, I loathed hearing that Kate was still hoping 'Jon would see the kids more often'... (than his 2 weekends a month). Is it not amazing that TLC did filming w. them this past weekend, & all appears to have happened under the radar? 'Best weekend ever' is intriguing!

Kate did look amazing, & of all days to be on The Today Show... I'd imagine she was pinching herself having Laura Bush & Helen Mirren in studio! ;0))

I'm home now but having Internet problems also. Computer is fine, but iPhones, Droids, and iPads having problems. I cannot find anything wrong, so don't know why.

  14. I'm really looking forward to the episode tonight. I don't care for Joy Behar so I will not be watching her show. How about you? Will you be watching?

  15. Good afternoon everyone! I got several people sending me the link to The Today Show. I'm excited to watch it now, Kate's hair looks amazing. Im getting my haircut tomorrow the exact same way!!

RWA TRASH WILL RE-COPY this is in 3,2,1 Haha let them keep talking! I cant wait to watch this video!

    ReplyDelete
  16. OMG so Kate is now on Twitter! Apparently it's KatePlusMy8! Also they are filming even today. But they have so much old footage...When will we get to see all this great stuff? So do we think the show will be on weekly again??

    ReplyDelete
  17. I get the impression that the show will be on during the Duggar's hiatus which is usually about two months. That's my guess. I just checked my DVR and it is set to go.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Lisa knight Mary Beth &, Pete/ Phil you pathetic losers., the site is moderated tonight. Stop coming on every minute and get a life.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Kate sure is 'sexing' up her show with all the cleavage and leg she is showing on tonights show---I mean why the turquoise mini dress if she has no place to go?
I guess shes trying to put herself out there for the next reality show "Kate plus 8 Dates" in case Kate plus 8 doesn't work out much longer.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I think she looks great. I wonder where it states that "Kate is a mother, therefor she has to look frumpy at all times?" welcome by the way.. Lol

    ReplyDelete
  21. MawT26 - Geez Louise! Skirts aren't down to the ankles anymore, and it was New Year's Eve. It was also summer there, lol. Oh I forgot, .... Somebody get granny dresses out for Kate before this granny has a fit! What a hoot!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Guess nobody noticed Tori Spelling's dress today that was much shorter. Or Ann Curry's that was short. Wait...wait...wait...Kate is mid 30's not mid 60's...guess she only has to please herself...cause it's for doggone sure she isn't gonna please some folks ever! So Kate, live life and enjoy and just send raspberries to those who don't like her. (although why they are watching is beyond me. Guess there tvs just get one channel and it is TLC.

    ReplyDelete
  23. LOL MawT26, I am sure you are not as prudish and shallow as your post would suggest. You really watched the whole episode and that is all you gleaned from it.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Where's FiredUp when you need her? Can't wait to hear your take on it!
    ----
What an absolutely awesome trip of a lifetime! How wonderful that these kids got to make the trip! Travel offers so many learning experiences.

    ReplyDelete
  25. What an opportunity of a life time. I love how people approached Kate on the beach sharing their similar stories. Speedo guy was great.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Okay, TLC needs to get rid of all the distracting adverts at the bottom of the screen. I don't have attention deficit disorder and if my eyes begin to wonder, I definitely don't want to be reading advertisements... : )

    ReplyDelete
  27. Wonderful wonderful show. The kids are at an awesome age and they say the cutest thing. I loved hearing them excited to talk to their dad and excited when their mom was coming back from her shark dive. I can tell they are well adjusted. Anybody who thinks otherwise needs to befriend a foster parent and see what issues those kids have.
I'd absolutely love for Bill Oreiley and Sarah Palin to see Kate camping out there.

    ReplyDelete
  28. The show was so much fun. I've missed seeing this family. Kate is a scream, literally ha but I am a screamer too so I can relate. Can't wait to see the next show but looks like there are more meltdowns.

I like how Kate keeps it real and doesn't sugarcoat anything. She has an "is what it is" attitude. Glad to see her comfortable enough in her own skin to share these experiences with us. It takes a strong and secure person to show the worst as well as the best. If nothing else, it's her reality and I admire that she is not afraid to put it "out there".

    ReplyDelete
  29. Ok everyone I'm back! Hope you all had a great nigh watching the show! I was actually surprised they put itvon so late. A few kids were complaining it was on past their bed time. So glad to hear from people thstbit will be on again at 7pm tomorrow!

Meanwhile I've been waiting for this show for months to come on, and I have to miss it due to my own kids. My toddler was crying to sleep in our bed again. When she was sick the other day I had her stay with us. My husband is mad I'm getting her into this terrible habit. Putting my foot down was never one of my strong parenting skill lol So now I stayed up to re-watch from the DVR. Loved it!!

Next weeks another episode! Take that Khaters!

  30. Tashapork~ I was thinking about what you said about the Duggars hiatus. I'm thinking that may be the reason they waited so long to air the shows. But will they still air all the ones they filmed so long ago, and will it seem dated at this point? I can't even watch the Duggars. Now the son is having a baby every year. It's ridiculous!

Linda~ I'm so missing firedup4kate and Corrina! She has emailed me. I'm not allowing any more giving up the Internet for Lent! Give up hate sites like I have! It's so much easier and way more fulfilling! Lol

    ReplyDelete
  31. They are pretty limited for time to film between school and Jon's week ends so outside of summer, it takes a longer time to gather footage for episodes, when the kids were younger there was more time to film. I would like to see a birthday bash for Mady and Cara and a Disney trip now that they are older. I'd like to see a Kate's day while the kids are at school.

    ReplyDelete
  32. "sexing up her show" - Really? LOL

"why the tourquoise mini dress if she has no place to go"

Why NOT? Maybe she wanted to dress up for the kids to add to the mood of a party.

Maybe she was going out afterwards?

Does such a trival thing, does it make a difference?

    ReplyDelete
  33. BabyMama - If those losers left comments I think you should send them to Nina Frye so she can see for herself who the real haters are.

Adele - Your post is right on!

I also watched Inside Kate's World. What a sad time in their lives. She has bounced back and looks amazing and very happy.

I love seeing Kate and the kids so happy together. You know it ruins the haters day.

I liked the turquoise dress. She was at a New Year's Eve party!

    ReplyDelete
  34. So exciting to see them all in such a healthy place in their lives! All I can say is, "Good for you Kate & kids!"

    ReplyDelete
  35. Would the real Kate Gosselin please sand up, please stand up...

Any idea which Twitter personality out there is the REAL deal? I tried KatePlusMy8 and the search turned up no results.

    ReplyDelete
  36. other than when they were with the Aboriginese, I did not see Kate or anybody dressed much differently than others in the environment. Could you imagine the outcry if they were dressed like the natives? LOL
As for the AKO's it makes no difference what Kate does or wears, they will dissect it. If she wore jeans and a t shirt, they would find something to say about it.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Hi Loveli welcome back! @Kateplusmy8 is the correct Twitter address. If you can't get through go through my PERSONAL Twitter link and see it there. She has in fact tweeted even today if this is in fact her...

Tashapork~ Kate definetly redeemed herself camping this time, as there has been an episode in the past where the family camped in the back yard in the rain but at their house and still stuck with it. We all know (or at least some of us do) that Alaska is a whole other situation. I have been to Alaska and took a 7 day cruise. I can tell you first hand how miserable to are when its freezing cold and raining. Those that judge Kate need to take their heads out of their behinds because they have no clus what its like. Good for those folks that would love weather like that to camp in.

    ReplyDelete
  38. TwinsProudGodmother~ Welcome! As always as soon as I can get it up on this site I will. I may as well make it a new post once I get a chance.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I'm back! And I'm fired up!! In;law problems last day or so. Fun, fun.

Okay, whose knocking Kate's rocking new year's dress? She worked darn hard...hours and hours of running, exercise, eating right to get that great body!

She's in the prime of her youth! My husband even said "Damn, she looks good!" (Excuse the emphasis...that was HIS word)!

We all just loved the show and it was very real. I liked how Kate gave a parenting lesson on taking the kids for the long plane ride...kept them real busy first leg of the flight...then they slept a good bit for that long 2nd flight.

Showing the New Year's Eve meltdown...how she handled it. She just took it in stride...understood the issues of jet-lag and fatigue and packed them in.

So admired her thinking on trying new, daring even scary things. What a wonderful role model for her kids. Can already see Cara has developed Kate's courage.

And papa Jon got himself caught lying again I see. Remember how Jon said that Kate did not contact him til the trip was over and how worried he was?

Well, it was all on tape that Kate called and had each child talk with Jon the first day they got there!

Haters were up in arms against Kate over that. Now haters...are you going to go back and call your idol Jon out for that lying misinformation he put out thereto make Kate look bad?

Looks like Kate will be on Joy Behar tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  40. BabyMama...Doesn't that twitter have to have the symbols /#!/Kateplusmy8/ to be correct?

    ReplyDelete
  41. The education and emotional benefits of this trip str unimaginable. The one on one experience in the forest with the Aborigines was priceless.

Teaching coping skills, survival techniques, wonders of nature and the joys of self expression...the Aboriginnes playing and dancing before Kate and the kids!

So glad Kate made reference to the former camping trip and then showed her making a go of this experience and explaining why she did it this time. Even saying she would do it again.

Take note Sarah Palin...Kate ain't no wimp! Shark cage...boomer'rangin...next week Sky jumping and even went one on one with a SpeedoMan!

    ReplyDelete
  42. "benefits of trip ARE unimaginable"...sorry about typo!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Also, in the New Year's party, the kids were wearing fake mustaches, etc. The impression I got was that she wore the dress precisely because it looked a bit costumely with the material. Little kids, especially little girls, love glittery outfits. There's a lovely story that I've seen in several books that when King George VI and his Queen Elizabeth (known, afte his death as Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother to distinguish her from their daughter and his successor Queen Elizabeth II) visited FDR and Eleanor Roosevelt in the White House shortly before WW II began. Presidential advisor Harry Hopkins was a widower & lived with his 8 year old daughter in the White House. She'd told Mrs. Roosevelt that the Queen must be the fairy queen she'd read about. Mrs. Roosevelt told the Queen who arranged for the little girl to see her in full evening dress (tiara, ballgown, diamonds) when she was leaving for a formal dinner. The little girl later exclaimed to her father, "Oh, Daddy, I have seen the Fairy Queen!"

    ReplyDelete
  44. Thanks BabyMama! I'm always here, just don't post too often...usually I'm a few days behind on all the happenings!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Firedup4Kate~ so happy to have you back lady! to search for it, I guess it looks like this: @kateplusmy8 or you can also do kateplusmy8 either way it should work, if need be go directly from my Twitter page to find it and click on the name.

PeggyP~ These people have literally proven they will try to snark on anything they could find. Im not sure what exactly was wrong with Kate's New Years Attire. If you got it, rock it. Yeah she does wear more revealing clothes and is no longer a frumpy housewife that so many haters wish she was. And apparently from the attacks on me..Everyone eats healthy and are thin SUPERMODELS! Could you beleive it? What a bunch of insane hypocrites...

    ReplyDelete
  46. They would then complain about her frumpiness. They would complain if she's thin, fat, or in between. It makes absolutely no difference and I think Kate realizes this so she does what works for her. It has nothing to do with the outfit or the boobs or the hair, it is about the act of picking it apart and giving it a negative spin

    ReplyDelete
  47. I LOVED the new show and her dress for New Year's! It was totally appropriate. I guess the haters have NEVER dressed up just because they felt like it?!?!?! I really liked how she addressed the camping ordeal with the Palin's and how she kept a positive attitude with this trip. WE ALL have bad days and I am just sooooo glad that my bad days aren't filmed and aired for all the world to see!!!

Can't wait for next weeks episode!!! Go Kate Plus 8!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  48. So is tonight's Joy Behr show a repeat from last night or was it listed incorrectly last night?

I'll be honest, I don't appreciate Joy because of her insults towards Kate in the past. But I am willing to revisit.

    ReplyDelete
  49. WTH??? Joy you are not on Kate's side. How can she say that. She was never on Kate's side.

I love how the media is treating Kate so nice now, because they need her for their ratings.

Like the Today show, keeping Kate there for over 1 1/2 hours before her interview so people will stay tuned.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Okay, last post. Kate did so well on Joy's show. This was a fabulous interview.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Hey there ! Kate did do well on Joys show. Joy started off with 8 little ones call her mommy but TLC calls her money ! Then almost every time they showed Kate they had Kate the Great written across the bottom of the screen ! Some people out there are going to love that ! LOL . You have to take Joy with a grain of salt but it was a fun interview and they both seemed to enjoy it. Joy asked all the usual question. Kate answered them all very very well. Joy did ask if the paparazzi followed Kate to Australia. Kate talked about them swearing in front of her kids.
They also joked about camping with the Palins. good interview.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Good Morning everyone, sorry for being MIA. Alot of changes going on in my life.

LOVED the episode, soooo good to see the kids again. They have gotten so big, love there little interactions. My favorite moments were Leah and Hannah wearing matching outfits and saying they were twins, hehe and Kate walking up on the beach with the fish saying "I caught dinner" too funny. Feels so good to have them all back. So excited for Kate.

Am thrilled that Kate is on twitter finally, hope she see's how many fans really do support and love her.

    ReplyDelete
  53. KatherineDenise - So glad to see your comment! Missed you! ((hugs))

    ReplyDelete
  54. Did anybody notice the number of tents in the camping section?

It takes more than one tent for the Gosselins, crew, etc.

Now, flash back to Alaska and the single tent. No way the G's, the Palins, and crew could have slept in one tent, lol. Despite what was said, it makes you wonder if the Palins & crew didn't leave shortly after the G's.
    -----
I particularly enjoyed Kate talking to people on the beach, as well as Kate the Fisher Girl. It was cute hearing the kids talk about the fish Kate caught, then cooking the fish for dinner. Thought it was great that Cara got to surf.

I'm so glad that the edit included the call to Jon as soon as they got on the bus! Wonder if the non fans will call out Jon for being not truthful about calls?

    ReplyDelete
  55. Sadly Linda, I am sure the haters will say that Kate's call to Jon was an attempt to rub in that she has the kids, they are still filming against his wishing, and she is 20some hours away so he can't touch her.

They won't see what we see with that phone call.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Linda, I liked the part where Kate said maybe next time they could try camping in the snow. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  57. fascinated - You are probably right. It disturbed me that Jon Tweeted about having no calls from the kids, not even knowing if they got there safely after the long flights, which is now shown to be not true. What kind of example is that? They called him as soon as they got off the airplane and into the bus, before they even got to their hotel! I was happy that it did show them talking to Jon. At the same time, I was sad that it showed he's still stuck in that rut of prevaricating about things; a real shame.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Kate the Great! WooHoo, did I love that! Joy the Bear wasn't so bad last nite. Looked like she and Kate were just BFF!

I cracked up when Kate talked about upping the anty and saying let's go camping in 12 feet of snow next time!

Joy's vasectomy comment got a good laugh from Kate as well. All in all it went very well. I can tell Joy is still puzzled over the hate that comes Kate's way.

Joy honestly doesn't see the need for it...she has stated that Kate has always behaved appropriately around her...no diva behavior! She brought it up again last nite and was clearly not seeing it.

Too bad "government worker" didn't get her name to fall from Joy's lips. She is just the nameless 24 yr. old girlfriend!

And Kate so matter a factly said..."I've moved on!" She pretty much stated that she could care less what he does in that area! Not interested. Good for you Kate!

    ReplyDelete
  59. Regarding Jon's comment about Kate not calling. I think he made that reference in one of his tweets.

Then an article came out I think from that National Enquirer and then on ROL about it...maybe one at Blubber Mouth Bonnie's site as well. In these articles, I'm remembering that the "inside source" was lamenting about how pained poor Jon was because he had not heard from his children and they were worrled about some of the bad weather over there...blah, blah, blah!

Of course, we later learned that Jon and "government worker" deleted alot of their tweets for some reason that occurred around that time.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Katherine Denise! Lookey here...so glad to see you again.

We gals know you have been going through a rough patch. Spill what beans you can here and we will help you clean it up!

Don't be a stranger for so long...you can at least pop in and say...Im'a still breathin'! LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Fired up - I was looking for the ROL article regarding Jon's claim. ROL changed the article and the article title. I put a link to the changed ROL article in the comments on my blog as well as this link to what I wrote about it at that time.

    http://www.ziggyflo.com/2011/01/kate-and-her-8-on-their-way-back.html

Jon definitely said that he had NOT heard from the kids and he was finally glad to hear from them that they were OK.

It's bad enough when he lies, but getting a rag mag to go back and change their article?!

Jon has tried more than once to cause Kate trouble and each time is has come back to bite him in the rear, as it should.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Southern Shout-Out to my Brazilian girls! Jacque and Debora, how are you? No mis-behavin' you two!

    ReplyDelete
  63. Ziggy, I find it odd that these crappy mags would accomodate him like that?

I mean he really is so irrelevant now other than being a constant source of trash material against Kate.

I guess they want to keep that sewage line open, right?

    ReplyDelete
  64. How significant that Kate and the TLC crew filmed that. You know it makes me think that Kate is a step or two ahead of dim-wit Jon most of the time!

It's like she knew he was going to make an issue about it and try to make her look bad.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Firedup,
I don’t even want to think that Kate having the children call their father right away was contrived. I think she was just doing the right thing, something she would want Jon to do for her if the situation were reversed. I bet there are more things like that which are filmed, but tossed to the cutting room floor in lieu of other footage. But I am glad they showed it.

Finally had a chance to watch last night. Enjoyed the episode!

    ReplyDelete
  66. Ali & Firedup - We've seen tiny snippets of phone calls in the past. I think this time TLC just decided to leave the phone conversation in the edited version. Perhaps because Jon had made such a big deal about no phone calls; this clearly shows that was not true!

Ziggy - ROL has made changes to their threads many times in the past, even before the Gosselins' divorce. I think that's just the way some pubolications handle things. Plus, if they change the title, it makes it look like a new post/thread.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I seriously doubt it was contrived, but as fired up said, Kate was likely two steps ahead of Jon and knew what he would try to play and made sure somethings were caught on film.

What I find highly amusing is Jon's supposed to be an IT tech yet he thinks if he erases his tweets and gets a rag mag to change an article, that that is going to erase the proof of his actions? Either Kate or her lawyer surely learned the ways of Jon's tatics and have someone keeping tabs on what he puts out and keeps records. Jon going back and changing & delteing stuff only makes him look even worse.

    Jon sunk his own boat.

    ReplyDelete
  68. And what may have ended up on the cutting room floor that we don't get to see, don't mean the footage is gotten rid of. They likely keep all the raw footage.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Ali...I did not mean to imply that Kate was not sincere in wanting to call Jon. I truly believe Kate goes out of her way to accomodate him.

However, I do believe Kate knows him well enough to surmise he would pitch a fit ...if she did not call and have the kids talk with him.

Kate, unlike Jon, seems to go the extra mile to be gracious and non-confrontational!

    ReplyDelete
  70. If the kids phone call to Dad was edited in for anyone's benefit, I bet it was for the kids. I really think Kate tries hard to support their relationship, and it is good for them to look back and see that when they watch. She has said that her kids are the yardstick for what goes on TV. As for Jon, I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't say that the call was staged and the kids weren't talking to an empty phone which by the excitement of the kids, could not have happened.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Firedup,

Oh I know, I'm sorry! I didn't mean for my comment to come across as accusatory to you at all. Reading it, I can see that it did.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Linda, I never read or paid any attention to ROL, INF, etc. until I got interested in Kate. Occassioanly I'd go see if there were any new info re Tori, but not even that very often.

    ReplyDelete
  73. The good thing about the phone call, is it was caught on tape even before made his lying claims.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Kate must've anticipated Jon was going to latch on to this as she made a point to tell him that she literally had just gotten a phone.

    ReplyDelete
  75. I agree, Ziggy. And I think that shows what a good mom she is, and how concerned she is for the welfare of her children.

    ReplyDelete
  76. It would be interesting to figure out when ROL changed the story, but once a story's changed, unless someone keeps an eye that story, it's hard to know when it was changed.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Ziggy - I didn't read or pay any attention to ROL or others of the same genre until Kate G. I read then but never commented. Then even reading the first page of the comments became difficult. So once again, I dont read them. I'm sure they could care less but I refuse to give them the hits.

Once I realized that they continued to run Kate or Jon stories solely because of the traffic they generated (good or bad) I just did not want to part of it.

  78. Good evening everyone! I know I have been MIA, but I have moved into a wonderful opportunity at work and it's been overwhelming trying to be all over the place! TLC needs to get me on their channel quick! Seriously, I haven't watched TLC since the last Kate Plus 8. Does anyone watch the shows on there? I need to stay home with my kids, make a ton of money, and have Mary Beth & Lisa Knight work on my fan site.

The trolls are now completely obsessed with Kate on Twitter. I mean, it's scary to think they can go after fans like that. They are so vicious, so vile and nasty. They are just going too far. I laugh at how pathetic they are, but at the same time, I'm incredibly worried. Kate has no idea the type of people I gave been dealing with for years to the point they have to go on a proxy to get here.

It's like they are dogs the see a shiny new ball.

    ReplyDelete
  79. I have only been watching the Duggars and K=8 since the Roloffs have been off the air and there's been no Little Couple. While I could never live as the Duggars do, the way they care about and look out for each other is special to me, and seeing Josie's journey is special to me. SP Alaska really irritated me and alot of the programming is not of my interest.
BabyMama, if LK and MB worked on your fansite, I'd fly away from it on high speed. I think they could give you a reality show about running a Gosselin blog and address all of the issues that go along with it and how it is really soo much more than just a Gosselin blog. LOL
I think when Kate decided to try twitter, she had good instruction in use of the delete and block buttons, she goes right past them I hope besides there are times that the trolls are soo busy trashing us that they forget about Kate. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  80. Tashpork, having a reality show following Baby Mama running this site is a fantastic idea. I could see 10 episodes for sure.

    1. Management of the site
    2. Creating blog ideas
    3. Other fan sites and how they support or attack Kate
    4. Following the posts before an episode
    5. Following the posts during an episode
    6. Following the posts after an episode
    7. Swatting Flies 101
    8. Why you started the blog
    9. Why we follow the blog
    10. Significant others that have to deal with our obsession over the blog LOL

  81. Oh my FiredUp I LOVE the expression:

Spill what beans you can here and we will help you clean it up!

I have never heard that before. Fantastic.

Take care Katherine, we are thinking about you.

    ReplyDelete
  82. FiredUp commented on Joy’s speculation about the hate towards Kate. I wouldn’t let Joy off the hook that easy.

Joy herself perpetuated hate toward Kate through previous episodes where Joy said the kids were kicked out, Kate got a boob job, etc. When the media makes these types of statements people who do not know anything about Kate will believe them to be true. I think Joy even said that Kate should stop putting her own interests over the kids.

But Kate did laugh out loud over the vasectomy comment and the interview went well.

  83. Fascinated, I like your episodes, but the flyswatting one could encompass several episodes and there could be one about the friendships that have come from it and one about discerning fact from rumor and using credible sources etc. Come on Babymama, somebody made a movie about a cooking blog, you could craft a series based on a GOSSELIN blog,

    ReplyDelete
  84. Still haven't watched the whole episode yet. Does that make me lose my "sheeple" status? My daughter had a mini fit when I was watching it with out her. Have to wait until tomorrow.

  85. Nahhahhha (supposed to sound like a sheep)CraftyMom, just read our comments, Baby Mama will tell you how to think. : )

  87. LOL. I guess I've been away from the site too long. I can now feel the warmth of Baby Mama 's mind control slowly taking over. LOL Linda O's too. Baa.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Ok now everyone email me and let me know how many times the "nonfans" copy & paste that and make it sound like I'm serious. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  89. Could someone please upload the episode. I still haven't seen it because it does not air in Germany and I am dying to see it!

    ReplyDelete
  90. CMo3 - lol, I'm delighted to know you are safely back under our mind control. Oh, that is so funny. Be sure you say Baa three times and check in daily!

It's hilarious that the non fans label us that way. I see pro fans questioning, checking, and never blindly accepting anything. You have non fans jumping and repeating the same drivel ad nauseun, the same tired junk, and going along with the invasion of the humanity snatchers.
    ----
Yahoo we have sunshine and warmth again here which is much needed with the tree grinding and clean up after the storm. We didn't have a tornado but there are certainly a lot of downed trees. All areas are due to have full power back by late tonight.

A person tends to forget how accustomed we are to being wired until you don't have it. I know many of you are big camping fans, but cooking on the grill and using flashlights fills the bill for me. Having to let my hair air dry instead of blowing it dry was as much "roughing" it as I want right now. Day trips to wilderness fine but want to return at night to my bed and shower.

I've enjoyed Kate's Tweets but not sending her any. I just figure she's getting bombarded enough. :)

    Have a great day, all.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Good morning everyone! Linda you are so blessed for the sunshine, it's freezing & damp here and I can't stand it!

Mia~ don't worry! Keep looking for it I may start a new post with just thevepisode as soon as I can get it! Welcome from Germany!

It's been very upsetting to see how these nasty people have attacked Kate & her fans on Twitter. Well I have my own fangs out and won't tolerate what they are saying about Paige or anyone else. How miserable must your life be that you do nothing but attack people? Kate and I both are strong enough to handle it, but lay off the young Kate fans. They are stooping to such a low level of shame and embarrassment.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Linda~ me too. They are watching my Twitter now every day to see if I will comment to her. Dont need to. Just because I run a fan site doesn't mean I wish to respond to all her comments. Which are many. Kate got on and for some reason was on ALOT. Which just adds more fuel to the fire. Twitter can get addicting in the beginning, but you and I both chat about very different things. Which makes it nice because it has nothing to do with this blog. Shoot you almost have more followers than me! ;)

Miss you and we will have to chat again soon. Does anyone know what the rating were? Good or bad?

    ReplyDelete
  93. Baby Mama - Talk from the gossip blog is that ratings are below the levels during divorce. Duh! Of course they are since those folks only were looking for a train wreck, lol. Settling down now to those who originally were Kate fans and fans of the kids. I think that's a good thing!

Re Twitter. I Tweet with some of friends made here, but even then it's pretty much about things unrelated to Gosselins. My numbers go up and down which is fine. I'm not looking for followers, lol. Mostly my Tweets are: with people I find funny, with news agencies, cooking and recipes, Disney, travel, and a hodgepodge of other things, i.e. Not related to this blog. Once they realize that, many of the non fans move on...that's a very good thing!

At first I did what I was told and followed back all people who followed me. That became overwhelming because I follow people I want to read. Now, I always check Tweets first before any follow back. Slowly, I'm learning about the bogus and garbage accounts.

One non fan said I Tweeted too much and it was annoying. So why the heck was she following me, lol. It's okay, I blocked her to help her out of her misery since she obviously didn't grasp the concept of "unfollow" or "get a life!"

    ReplyDelete
  94. I was taking about the "celebrity" gossip blog, not one of the anti-Kate blogs; I don't have any desire to fill my life with negativity so I ignore those, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Linda I get that a lot too. Very rarely do I tweet about the Gosselins. I have even had problems with pro fans getting annoyed and unfollowing me because I don't like to bash too much on Twitter (none from any of the site I frequent, just random people.) I guess they heard about the notorious CraftyMom and were sorely disappointed. Giveaways and random thoughts are my tweets, I'm pretty boring. LOL Watch it though because there have been a few that go through my followers/following list, one of them got onto my husbands twitter page to follow him and BOY were they sorry. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  96. *sites, sorry...fingers are stiff today.

    ReplyDelete
  97. I've been reading some of the twitters to Kate. A few "foul smelling" ones tried to leave their crap and Kate either made a joke of it or ignored it!

Good for her! I believe Kate is quite capable of handling the idiots that keep wailing about her getting a real job.

Kate is doing just fine...there at home with the kids...keeping a big paycheck...traveling the world. Sure beats a 9 to 5 gig, picking up kids at day care and struggling to pay the bills!

Don't have time to twitter, bit looks like she just fits it in between stuff she has going on.

So waiting now for the next episode. This is going to be so fun.

BabyMama...the Monday nite episode drew 1.35 million from one ratings site I saw. Don't know what the re-run pulled in on tuesday.

    ReplyDelete
  98. The current ratings are always compared to the ratings of during the breakdown of their marriage. That is like comparing apples to oranges.

    ReplyDelete
  99. I thought I had posted earlier, but now I can't see it. I thought that 1.3 or more was pretty respectible for the time slot.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Okay... Just got emailed the ROL document about Kate getting sued.

    Pretty interesting....
First, the counselor could not spell the word. Hmmm. Spelled it counciling.
    2. Jon said Kate refused counseling. So that is weird.
    3. Sylvia LaFair? Isn't that Jon's distinguished "life coach?"
    4. I can't imagine Jon ever, ever considered using somebody Kate hired, so this seems weird.
    5. Could it be that Jon hired her, sent the bill to Kate and she refused to pay it?
    6. What a wacky mess!

    ReplyDelete
  101. I know a lot of folks are spelling challenged, but dang! I think if it were my profession, I'd be able to spell it!!!

    ReplyDelete
  102. Comparing the ratings to K+8 to the divorce episodes is like comparing church attendance on wednesday nights to that of Christmas and Easter, also whoever in their right mind puts a family oriented show in that late of timezone unless maybe they are trying to raise the ratings of the rerun episodes on tuesday, which is something Jimbob Duggar thought might be the case.

I think the counselor is trying any tactic possible to get paid. While I am not sure if Jon saw this counselor before the divorce was finalized, Jon has made it clear that Kate hasn't had any counseling, except for a meeting with Dr Phil and that was more about the show so hopefully this helps Kate if she chooses to fight. He even said that HE spent ten thousand on the therapy. What I am wondering is why this counselor let him rack up such a bill. Why did they not stop the sessions for nonpayment. When we went in for an educational/adhd assessment, they laid out a payment schedule and if you didn't pay for the next part, you didn't get it, thus I could see a two thousand dollar bill, but not ten.

  103. tashapork - "Comparing the ratings to K+8 to the divorce episodes is like comparing church attendance on wednesday nights to that of Christmas and Easter" Excellent description!

I agree that LaFair is trying any tatic she can to get paid.

    ReplyDelete
  104. What seems curious is Sylvia Lafair saying [sic] she had reached out to Kate several times in re. to this bill & Kate failed in honoring her committment. For Sylvia to claim travel to LA & expenses for over a week of counceling...? Was she asked to join Jon & Kate when they sat down w. Dr. Phil...? Jon certainly made it known that Dr. Phil wasn't interested in anything but 'saving their brand' & ended that w. 'time better spent snowboarding'?

I Googled Kate Gosselin & Sylvia Lafair...& her blog intimated that they were suffering near post traumatic stress, & they were so far gone that someone should have called for help in TLC production, family or friends...? (my interpretation of what she said...) It was just last fall that Sylvia announced that Jon was doing her course at $10k for 8 sessions every other month for 4 months...& he can't pay child support? Just how convenient to come up w. this unpaid bill...& even take a phone call from TMZ & Radar & BLAME Kate. She's in the same class as Lillian Glass...reinventing the wheel of common sense! No way do I think Kate's lawyer would request a hearing IF he/she thought Kate was indeed liable for a 2 yr. old debt~ One of Jon's divorce lawyers was smart enough to attach his unpaid bill to Jon's final disbursal of marital assets. UGH!

    ReplyDelete
  105. Me again. What is truly FUN is reading Kate's Tweets! She does have a gift of gab & could be any friend of any of us here~ ;0)

    ReplyDelete
  106. Whatever happened to the book that LaFair was authoring with Jon?

Is there any mention of that on LaFair's blog? I read there only once when LaFair stated that Hailey was really only a casual acquaintance of Jon's. I thought then, WTH is this person so out of touch that she didn't know of Jon's tv declaration of Hailey being the love of his life? That was a bizarre comment to post under the circumstances.

Didn't Jon mention that he'd already been seeing a counselor before the California trip?

Sounds like his famous counselor might indeed have been LaFair.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Firedup4kate- Debora and I are fine, thanks for asking:)

Well, I have not watched the episode with the Gosselin in Australia, but the pictures it seems that the kids loved it, this trip was a tremendous opportunity for them, do not understand why Jon was against it, perhaps it is selfishness?, I think so.

    Good evening to you all!

    ReplyDelete
  108. Linda, I guess LaFair failed to see Jon's primetime special where he called Hailey his soul mate and the love of his life.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Ziggy, I suspect that LaFair is most likely guilty of just believing whatever she was told, without ever verifying anything. But hey, she must be pretty good at sales or inflating other people's egos if she could people to pay her rates.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Linda will you email me the document? I'm curious but don't want to go on ROL
