New Kate Gosselin INTERVIEW! "We just Adore Kate" Thank You For Making Me Famous, Is This Season of Kate Plus 8 A Hit?

Hello Gosselin fans! Yes, this is me speaking not only on behalf of Kate Gosselin but also on behalf of myself. Yes its arrogant and a little snarky, but it's all in good fun. While I was thinking of what to post for my new thread I just realized that it was exactly 3 years ago today that I entered my first Jon & Kate Plus 8 forum on CafeMom, after only having my computer for a few weeks and only been on a blog a handful of times. After 3 years, I can agree with the Khaters on one thing. You DID in face make Kate the rich woman she is. Without you, Kate would have never gotten the money she did for her shows, get all those freebies and endorsements. Thanks to those bloggers so obsessed with her, they indeed made her famous, made her the most talked about reality TV Mom of this decade.

This year we have seen a flourish with Kate Plus 8 sites. So with that people not only became obsessed with Kate, but the people that created these sites, especially the fan ones.. So now this made up name  I created for a fertility site made literally 3 years ago me some type of entity that everyone had to talk about to this day still? The same thing with the other sites. Next thing you know I got 2 weird guys and a few retired ladies with too much time on their hands trying to find out anything they can about me.. Why? Are their lives that empty that snarking on Kate's shoes wasn't enough? At then end of the day, anyone that blogs about Kate Gosselin knows who I am. So chew on that for a minute. At the end of the day I can easily hide behind some fake name and never brag about all the cool things I do, but I choose to put myself out there. However I need to be making some money now off all this Internet fame. So watch what happens, you never know where I will be popping up next...xoxox BM

Exclusive Interview From CupcakeMagazine.com: "We Simply Adore Kate & Her 8!"

In our interview we learned that Kate is only human as she confess to us that "My house is always somewhat 'clutter controlled', my bedroom/office is my 'dumping grounds' as I call it. It's always in half packed to go away mode and half unpacked mode... It's atrocious and I long for help in that arena...disturbing even on its best days..." She also filled us in our her newest pet peeves, " toys, snacks, cups, school paraphernalia, etc. rolling around my vehicle while driving" and like us, she probably couldn't survive without her iPhone. Kate is seriously an amazing mother and we were thrilled that she had a chance to fill us in on life. We just adore Kate and her amazing 8!" Dancing With The Stars vs. Kate Plus 8: Can One Get Better Without The Other: Examiner.com

It was precisely at this time last year that "Dancing with the Stars" entered one of its most successful periods to date. For the first time, the show managed to take down "American Idol" to become the most-watched program on television -- and many people attributed its success to one woman by the name of Kate Gosselin. The Kate presence was apparent from the get-go, and the millions of viewers who left following her departure proved that sometimes, viewers just want to enjoy a good ol'-fashioned mix of drama and awkward dance moves. Kate's ratings for "Kate Plus 8" have declined since the appearance on the ABC show -- if for no other reason than that it has failed to provide the same sort of excitement without a tense situation involving either Jon Gosselin or the foxtrot. (Meanwhile, it took a certain controversy surrounding Bristol Palin for "Dancing" to creep back up the chain of success.)

So where are "Dancing with the Stars" and Kate Gosselin going now? In the case of the former, it is a weak cast expected to draw a smaller audience than last season. Kate, meanwhile, spent this past weekend minus the kids at FAO Schwartz (hopefully picking them up a gift). Her new season of "Kate Plus 8" is set to premiere next month, but the buzz has been barely audible thanks to television moving on to other new phenomenons. "Dancing" with likely be in the spotlight far longer than "Kate Plus 8," but do you think either show will ever be able to replicate from here on out the success that the two parties had together?

  1. fascinated - I'm an horrible speller as well.

This is what I use & have used for years.
You don't have to type your post in a third part program to spell check.

  2. If anyone has been accused of bad spelling and therefore being unedumacated (spelled wrong on PURPOSE) it's me. It's these darn nails..lol

It's not ever going to resolve itself. They say we support Kate so were "dumb" and they are crazy people that live in dark houses with no mirrors. No one will ever win ;)

  4. BabyMama, were you on the Dr Oz show?

  5. Msgoody2shoes~ email me privately for all the details. I do alot of things actually and trolls are not entitled to the wonders that are my life.. Lol so I don't post it here.

On another random note, who at Dancing with the Stars has it in for Toni Dovolani? Other than Melissa Rycroft he has (in his 10 seasons) ever gotten someone that could possibly win. Even Edyta finally sat this season out after being fustrated she only got the old men. And she was there from the first show. Poor Toni has been here since the 2nd season. No one good. I think they hate him. Lol did you see Wendy dance? She's worse than Kate!

  7. LOL BabyMama...You were a hit on Dr. OZ! Loved that little bedroom scene! (That's just something thrown in for the haters to get juiced up over!)

DWTS is nothing to me anymore without Kate. We all laughed at her trying...but were saddened over all the mess Jon caused in her life at the same time. What woman could concentrate on dancing with that going on?

I did watch a clip of Tony with Wendy W. Back at you Wendy and Tony for sort of dissing Kate!

Ain't so easy is it Wendy? Boo Hoo, they filmed you crying! Now do you have a little more empathy for Kate?

Tony, maybe Kate wasn't such a bad partner after all? I'd think anyone could see that Wendy is an emotional mess and quick to get irritated!

And I never understood the judges being so hard on Kate on her first dance, the waltz. I thought she did pretty good on that overall...and Bruno comes right out calling her a "shopping cart'! They were much kinder to Wendy.

I truly hope Kate Plus 8 does well. They certainly bounced the program around at all manner of odd times last year. Our family enjoys watching it...well, mostly me and my 11yr. old girl! My husband does like Kate's sense of humor.

So's here hoping Kate has another successful year and I could care less about DWTS!

  11. Baby Mama, your post was bang on. The haters don’t realize that they are contributing to Kate’s income as well. If they really wanted her to fail, they would stop writing about her, reading about her, and stalking her.

However, they show even more interest than Kate’s fans. Their interest increases ratings and conversation. If it were really about the children, they wouldn’t spend a cent on following her publically and instead be gathering evidence to support their accusations. DSS doesn’t read blogs or a rag magazine to investigate someone’s parenting, they go by evidence supported accusations. The courts do the same. Kate has held up to their scrutiny and showed that she is doing no wrong. Complaining about her breasts will not remove the kids and return them to their father.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Great post BabyMama. The naysayers are addicted to spewing hate at Kate. They use the kids to justify their actions but buttom line it's all about destroying Kate. What sad lives they live.

So glad you have not let the haters beat you down. You are a strong woman and have stood fast in your beliefs. You should be very proud!

  13. fascinated~ I'm so happy with myself and comfortable in my own skin that I could give a rats ass what they say. It's the pot calling the kettle black. Would any of those trolls like to post their own photos up? No? Didn't think so. They are far from supermodels so before anyone passes judgement they need to zip it. I get out there, Ive been doing things for years they don't know about. Do you think I would ever plug anything on Twitter unless it's for a reason?? If insulted they think I'm that stupid. Don't you think I KNOW that they read and pick apart everything I say? People think they are so slick and try to think they are digging all this secretive crap up.

They are so stupid they think they found out some secret thing. When in fact they are pathetic and the ones that need to look deep inside of themselves and see if there is beauty within....

They can't get to Kate so they try to get through to me with the attacks they wish they could give to Kate. and try to get under my skin. FAIL. I'm so happy with myself and with my family they just can't handle it.

  14. I just stumbled on to this blog today. How have I missed it? I recognize several names from Imperfect Women, I'm stxmom over there.

Its nice to find another place where people actually have some common sense.

  15. Welcome Mary~ I have known the Imperfect Ladies for over 3 years when the ran the Jon & Kate Site GDNNOP. This fan site was started around the same time.

We are strong women here supporting Kate, who is a strong woman! Hope you stick around!

  16. Baby mama, you go girl. The best revenge is to live a happy, joyful life. The Haters can't understand that and spin in circles of hate and jealousy.

    Welcome Mary.

  17. Did Tony and Wendy say something about Kate? I saw Wendy's performance, she moved like she was afraid of falling, and I noticed she seemed offended by her scores. This season the show has no interesting contestants. I wonder if the ratings will suffer because of it. I didn't see all of the show, and I doubt I'll be tuning in much.

I will be watching Kate Plus 8 when it airs. I hope it does well. I don't know what typical expectations are for little reality tv shows on TLC, but I doubt they are as high as the haters' expectations. They seemed really thrilled to follow Kate Plus 8 ratings information last year, anticipating a cancellation because of a ratings decline, and the show is BACK, which gives them a whole new season to anticipate the show being cancelled. I know they'll have fun with that, and people who don't hate will enjoy the show. :)

    ReplyDelete
  18. Kate and her 8 will be on soon. You know those Khaters will be sitting on top of their TV's to pick her apart.

    BM, great job!!! :)

  19. Ugh, on the road & woke to snow. Forgot to pack snow boots. So glad I'm only here a day. :)

Real women have many facets to their lives. We don't sit and obsess over anybody 24/7. Some work full time at home, and for some, work calls for us to be away from home from time to time. It's called "having a life."

Just a few more days until we see smiling Kate & kids who are rays of sunshine!

    Have a great day!

  20. Poor Kate...ROL and the resident pap have a story up and a picture of her taking out the trash!

Now you know you are relevant and a true celebrity when they want a picture of you taking out your trash!

Look haters...Kate is a hands on mom afterall!

  21. Just saw that Kate will be on the Today Show April 4th. OMG, those Khaters are going to be typing wildly wondering how she can still be having her 15 minutes.

Good health, peace, and everything nice.
Jacque and I stayed inprecionadas when we learn that Kate's father was pastor.
    We did not know
But it's a cool thing, Kate is a of religious family.

    http://gosselinfamilyfansite.blogspot.com/2011/02/kate-gosselins-e-true-hollywood-story.html

Busy day for me today and tomorrow. I wonder what Kate is doing today. I hope you all like the video I added. I love seeing how the kids have grown up and gotten so independent. And how Kate talks about making them self sufficient is the reason why I continue to admire her strength and run this fan site :)

    ReplyDelete
  24. Micha said - and the show is BACK, which gives them a whole new season to anticipate the show being cancelled

LOL, that is so true. How small their lives are that they have to focus on the ratings of a show they can’t stand.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Baby Mama, I LOVE the webisode. Thank you for pointing it out. I usually go right past the intro when checking for updated comments.

I agree with Kate that you raise your children so that one day they can be independent. My success as a parent is shown by the independence my children show as adults.

I told my son that he would be learning to wash his own clothes next weekend. He said he didn’t need to learn. I told him he would need to know this for when he moves out on his own. He then told me he is never moving out….

Quite the dilemma, do I teach him so that he can move out or do I not teach him so that he stays my baby forever. LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  26. fascinated teach that boy. LOL Seriously we taught between my husband and I, our son how to cook, clean, launder his own clothes, iron them. It will pay off believe me. Even though I cried my heart out when our son left the nest there was a sense of deep gratification when one day out of the blue he called to specifically thank us for teaching him how to do all those things. He had a roommate that he had been friends with since pre school and after high school they got an apartment together. My son said he was so grateful for what we taught him because he said his friend didn't know how to do a darn thing and every week took his laundry home for his mom to wash and iron. He then started complaining a little because he said he had to cook all their meals and he was frustrated because his friend wouldn't pay attention when he tried to teach him how to do the same thing. So maybe one day fascinated you'll get that phone call you'll treasure forever when your son calls to thank you for all that you've taught him.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I would try to keep him as long as you can though because wow do you ever miss them when they move out.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Thanks Lexxi, I can see that happening to my son and to one day have him call and complain that someone isn't listening when he is trying to teach them... priceless. : )

    ReplyDelete
  29. I watched some of the webisodes. Those kids are so darn cute! Kate continues to prove what a good parent she is. Teaching them to be responsible and independent will take them far in life.

The Cupcake Magazine interview with Kate comes out this week which will be positive since their tweets indicated they liked Kate. The Today Show and Kate + 8 airs on Monday so be prepared for the hater attacks BabyMama and LindaO! LOL

  31. Before I go.. I see INF woke up on the wrong side of their trailor today. And Chris Watts is mad he got a pay cut. Thats the only reason why I would think they would comment like this:

"Kate Gosselin is celebrating her birthday the way any mother of 8 sans a boyfriend/friends/life would – by going for a run and taking out the trash. We’re picturing the trash can filled with empty vodka bottles and books about how to date in your 30s.

Kate looked suitably miserable on her big day. Of course she is. Wouldn’t you be? Eight kids, her fame is dying, despite a new season of your show coming out and she’s still not rich enough to have someone else take out her garbage. Kate’s only 36 and the lights are going out! What’s a mom to do?"

    http://www.infdaily.com/2011/03/photos-birthday-girl-kate-gosselin-takes-out-the-trash.html?utm_source=Kate+Gosselin&utm_medium=twitter

    ReplyDelete
  32. Why would somebody taking out their garbage be newsworthy? It's one of those chores that just has to be done.
    ----
Does appear that the Examiner, from an email I got, was too thrilled with Wendy's dancing... Saying that by comparison, Wendy made Kate Gosselin look like Fred Astaire. Guess she found out it's not quite as easy as it looks. After her big talk, about Kate's lack of ability, it must have been an embarrassment to realize she can't dance either. At least Kate never said she could dance.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I am truly sickened by INF’s article. Really??? Vodka bottles and dying fame. Obviously, she is fame worthy enough for them to report on her. They are total cowards. I bet if Kate agreed to do an interview with INF, they would respond like that women from Hollywood True Story who was driving in the car with her friend and lost her mind when Kate drove by because she was so excited.

I can’t believe that any ‘journalist’ would write such hurtful rhetoric. Honestly, that is really low.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Lexxi, LOL! The same thing happened with my son and his roommate!
He said, "I clean the whole kitchen and can he wash one plate? NO!"
I had to laugh. But as my mom used to say, if you do your job right, the kids leave home and lead their own lives.
BabyMama, I just wanted to say you rock. Keep doing what you're doing!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Love the Cupcake Magazine interview. Kate and the kids look so happy and stress free. Can't wait for the episode to air!

I can picture the haters stomping their feet, screaming their heads off, and typing their fingers to the bone trying to convince the blogging world the author must have been paid when they read "Kate is seriously an amazing mother and we were thrilled that she had a chance to fill us in on life. We just adore Kate and her amazing 8!" LOL

    ReplyDelete
  36. Read that great interview! Kate revealed some things there that I did not know! LOL, her bedroom is not always picture perfect organized!

My, does that make me feel better! My husband and I are both guilty of just throwing a shirt, jeans or whatever over the bedroom chair or our exercise machine!! Mail gets put on the bedroom dresser, change/coins in my jewelry bin!

Anyway, these ladies did such a nice, respectful interview. I posted a comment there thanking them and I encourage all the commenters here to do the same!

    Beautiful pictures...all the kids smiling!

  37. Refreshing to read an article/interview without some nasty slant on it. Thanks for posting, Baby Mama!

    ReplyDelete
  38. That was a great article and I was glad to hear they will not be posting any negative responses. I think more people are realizing where Kate is involved there are people like the haterz that are going to send them nasty responses. I WANT a cupcake now.

    ReplyDelete
  39. What a breath of fresh air the Cupcake Mag article is! (I couldn't help notice what lovely ads they had on their sidebar!)

I agree Firedup...;0)! Can you imagine having 8 children poking thru' your 'bedroom office' as well? Can't resist thinking back when the parent's bedroom was raided during those pre-divorce divided custody days. (Did anyone hear if Jon ever found his wedding band?)

    ReplyDelete
  40. Loved the interview on Cupcake Magazine. I also really enjoyed the site itself. That's one I'll bookmark to keep. You mean Kate isn't perfect? How dare she disappoint us and let us know that her bedroom isn't always clean. LOL
Well with eight kids it would be almost next to impossible to have everything perfect all the time. Kate is just like all of us, not perfect but doing the best she can. From the smiles on the faces of those beautiful eight children it looks like she is doing pretty darn good. Loved the pictures!

  41. wheatonheart welcome to the blog. That is so cute that you had a similar experience with your son. Looks like you taught your son right. LOVE the Cupcake Mag BTW. I've been following them for awhile. It's a great piece.

I love the kids boots in the picture with Terri Irwin. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  49. Cupcake ladies have my respect! Was a rough day for them so I see...but they did an excellent job taking out the trash on an hourly basis!

Was interesting to note the other celebs they have interviewed recently...Tori Spelling, Denise Richards and Steven Tyler...all pretty big Hollywood names. Each interview received one or zero comments.

Kate's interview had close to 30 that they allowed...of course, we know the haters flocked there and were disallowed! Looks like Kate is quite relevant still.

So obvious what you stated LindaO...people that actually meet and talk with Kate are always super impressed!

    ReplyDelete
  50. It's also amazing how people who have positive things about Kate to say, take responsibility for them and don't hide behind anonymous sources. One of the parenting traits that I admire about Kate is how she fosters independence in the kids. I've been spending the last several days helping relatives with a badly needed new floor. They have a 14, 17, and 18 year old and not only did none of them lift a finger to help, but their mom and dad had to constantly be stopping to feed them meals on demand, hand out money, find clothes for them, nag them to take a bath, cut fingernails, etc. It was really sad to me. I am glad Kate isn't creating that environment.

  58. Ugh! That trashy OK magazine is recycling the Kate quote on the Today show more than a year ago when she said, "I keep hoping I'll wake up and the old Jon will be back." Good heavens! Surely they could find something new to write about. Wake up, OK mag, rag that you are! There's been a lot of water over the dam since that quote, such as the divorce and moving on in life.

Or, is this a statement of how much a superstar Kate is! Their rag might fold without a Kate quote and photo.

    ReplyDelete
  59. 'Ugh', is putting it mildly, LindaO!

  60. Good morning everyone! Ali thank you so much for the People magazine info. I'm going to pick it up right now. Brought the kids to school this morning and it was actually snowing! Stopped now, but that was a bit crazy!

I have really lived seeing all my old commetets and I hope you stick around! I missed all of you. I know I have been a bit MIA but I've been doing some things I wont quite be making public... Since the hate blogs have been slow they all took to obsessing over me. What can I say..;)

    ReplyDelete
  61. If they are obsesssing over you, than that makes you very relevant.

    ReplyDelete
  62. HB, I would rather call Jon the "former Mr. Kate Gosselin." LOL

    ReplyDelete
  63. LOL girls...HB, Short...too funny! Sorry, but Jon being born today is suitable to his life thus far!

It's up to him to turn the joke around and start living life seriously...then he gets my respect!

Aw, BabyMama...so what the haters are obsessing over you! Nothing they say can take away from the super job you did on Dr. OZ!

Stand proud and stand tall...BabyMama...just like Kate does. Don't ever be ashamed of who and what you are or what you do because of the air heads on the hater lane.

LindaO...bobble head Bonnie Fuller has a similar story on her site about how Kate wants Jon back...according to an inside source. LOL! What a joke her whole site is...nothing believable there...sheer made up bathroom gossip!

Lots of Kate and the 8 coming up! Kate is even taking on Joy Behar....is that correct? Woo, that should be an interesting girl chat. Kate had to rip a verbal bullet at Joy last time over the "are those your boobs" comment from Joy!

  65. I'd say that if Jon is living the ordinary life he wanted, and spending time with the person of his choosing, that's a good thing. He seems to be smiling more now, Kate for sure looks a lot more relaxed, so they can both just get on with lives. Jon sees kids more than many divorced Dads. Courts have made decisions repeatedly so time to continue on with lives.

Anybody hear how his ads for Quizno's are going? Not too many "regular, ordinar" folks are doing commercials. If it works for him, more power to him.

  66. What a weird, weird, weird April 1 today has become.

Just an FYI...if anybody else is considering the Dragon transcribe software, it works well for big blocks of text. It doesn't do such a hot job at taking your spoken text and converting it to typed words in blog blocks...or, lol, maybe it's just the way I talk.

Maybe we should do a countdown until Monday. Have a great weekend!

  67. BM - If you don't mind, I'd like to address your posters for a minute.

I have NOT changed my mind about Kate.
This was a punk on the haters and my posters helped me in this. I have explained on my site. For those I wasn't able to alert to the joke and are truly upset, please accept my apologies. I asked those who I alerted to please past the info on to others they had the abiity to and I didn't, but even with that I know some were still not able to be alerted that this was an April Fools punk on the haters.

  68. Shortnsaszy~ Theres a great quote from one of The Real Housewives & you know how I love those women (or maybe you don't & thats OK LOL) that says "If they ain't talkin about you then your not relevant"..So true! Now if I only made money off all this fuss made over finding out what I look like then I would care even less!

Speaking of making money.. I love this article about Jon & Twitter. Man I need to follow off this guys footsteps because the man is learning how to make a dime.. LITERALLY.. Check this out:

"RumorFix has learned exclusively that Jon Gosselin is being paid by Quiznos to pimp their product on Twitter. The reality star, who has 72,184 followers, is being paid to promote the sub company's new $2.99 deal. And, Jon's girlfriend, Ellen Ross, also sent out a similar sponsored tweet to her 3,420 followers. A source tells RumorFix that Jon's tweets usually sell for $500 each.

To put that in perspective, Kim Kardashian, with close to seven million followers, gets $13,000 for a tweet. And, Charlie Sheen broke all records by getting more than $100,000 to promote www.internships.com. The big question now is: Will Jon be Quiznos version of Subway Jared?"

  69. Good evening everyone! I was out tonight at a Housewives event and missed all this great stuff. Poor Ziggy, it was April Fools today and the Khaters had a meltdown thinking you switched over to the other side.. And some of the fans thought so too? I think it was because Nina Frye did such a 180 so quickly, people may have thought you had done the same.

I did know ahead of time what was going on, or maybe I would have said "nooooo not Ziggy!" People are more obsessed with you than me if thats even possible! What would they do if you were over the fence so to speak! lol

That was very scary. ;) I'm happy to to have you back!

  70. BM - I never left! LOL

Jon is welcome to make money any way he choose as far as I'm concerned, as long as it doesnt involve attacking Kate and using his kids in a negative manner.

  71. That means if Jon could get $500 for each tweet, pay his living expenses and child support with his day job and he did one a day and Hailey Glassman would let him pay her back interest free, he could pay her back in 800 days or about 2 years and three months.

  72. BabyMama Rumor Fix had an update about an hour or so later. They said the "source" gave them the wrong figures and it's $25 a tweet he gets not $500. You can go to Rumor Fix to see their update.

It was a fun day punking a certain group of people. Fun April Fools Day. LOL

  73. Hey there is nothing wrong with that. If Jon and Ellen can make a little money that way I have no problem with that. Rumor Fix also said Ellen was doing it too.

  74. I've watched the promos. Given Kate's fear of heights, I can't imagine them trying to convince her to go bungee jumping. OMG, I'm hoping she never mentions a fear of snakes, I can imagine them trying to put her in some Indiana Jones scenario with a cave full of snakes.

If you remember the hang gliding episode, where they K+8 watched the hang gliders, there were borderline tears then from looking out at the heights. It brought to mind the Marriott Marquee in NY ith the one wall of glass and feeling the rooms sway on upper floors. I can't even go into the room until the drapes are closed. Or the glass elevators at the Marriott Peachtree in Atlanta which I can only do by facing the elevator doors.

Anybody else have a fear of heights?

Only a couple more days until we see the next episode.

  75. Good morning everyone! Lexxi ohh no you made me laugh. Poor Jon doesn't get a fraction of what Kim K does. That $25 bucks is not even enough to take his kids out to Friendlys.

On a positive note, a buck is a buck :)

  76. kate didnt appear afraid of heights when she took the kids on the balloon ride

  77. Overthehill - Actually, I thought she did, lol. I'll have to go back and watch that episode.

  78. Linda, I have a fear of heights, too. I can't even watch something on TV which gives one a sensation of depth. And I am a tough person, not saying you're not. That's now how I mean that. If I make up mind I can usually overcome anything fear, etc. I have, but not of heights. They used to not bother me but as I've gotten older, they do and more so.

The clip showing Kate getting ready to bungee jump, it looked like tears were streaming down her face. Have to watch that again.

The Australia/NZ episodes are going to be great!

  79. BabyMama I love the picture at the top of your blog. So sweet.

Can't wait for the episodes. The Kate and the kids look like they had an amazing time. What great family memories they will have.

  80. Yes LindaO, I'd be suffering near panic attacks in both bldgs. you mentioned. This coming from someone whose 2nd job in NYC was in an office on the 54th floor of the then new PanAm Bldg. My boss claimed I looked yellow every time I got off the elevator. (I bagged lunch to avoid an extra up & down!)

P.S. What Kate/Cara/Jamie? were doing was 'sky jumping'. No less frightening, but we had to sign off for our daughter to do this when she went to NZ. (She said she was more frightened w. some of the rides at Kings Dominion.)

  81. HB - I'm not home so haven't looked at the episode that overthehill mentioned with the hot air balloon. I do remember the J&K episode in California with the twins. Kate couldn't make it to the top because she was too frightened. I remember the twins weren't thrilled either.

I loved heights when I was younger but on a mountain climb in my late 20s I made it to the top of the mountain, looked out at the vista and got ill. Heights have been a huge problem ever since. Couldn't even watch the special on the glasslike bridge over the Grand Canyon. I do aisle not window seats on airplanes and can't even do Ferris wheels anymore.

Good thing my second husband doesn't like heights either. He refuses to stay above the 4th floor in hotels and if they tell us they've upgraded our rooms to a higher floor, he turns green. So no more hang gliding for me, ha! Ha! My oldest has done hang gliding and bungee jumping and has parasailing planned for summer so my phobia didn't rub off.

  82. LindaO--You mentioned that scene from the California trip where Kate stayed behind while Jon took the twins up the mountain. As I recall, they were going to some kind of scenic overlook that required something of a climb (I'm pretty sure this was from some kind of "outtakes" episode, because it was not shown in the regular episode). Anyway, I'm pretty sure that Cara was enjoying it but Mady was almost hysterical, begging Jon not to make her go any higher. She obviously had a fear of heights. Of course, if that was Kate that had forced Mady to do something that caused her such fear, the AKO's would still be talking about it today. I'm not necessarily saying Jon was wrong -- maybe he just wanted both the twins to have an adventure -- it's just that if the roles had been reversed, Kate would never have been excused for doing that.

  83. Good morning everyone! Happy Sunday to you! I know I've been a bit MIA from the site for the past few days. Ever since the attacks shifted from Kate to me I decided to step away for a sec and really concentrate on my work & my family. A few opportunities have even come my way because of all of this. So in some sick way I have Khaters to thank? Yuk.. Anyway whenever I feel like I want to go into my computer & start choking some people, it's time to step back, and jump right into making your dreams a reality!

This site and all you wonderful ladies have given me such strength. I can see how just focusing on your positive supporters can make you move forward. My husband even loves my new mindset and were having some more "us time" today. I mean, if my mom will babysit! Either way, this thread is in desperate need of fresh paper. Keep posting here and I promise to get a new post up tonight. As always, ideas are appreciated! xoxo

  84. BabyMama...You know you rock...just like Kate! I've seen some of the hater comments. It's too funny. If they keep on, you will be signed up for your own show!

Jealous much, aren't they? You were as cute as a button on the Dr. Oz show and don't you forget it!

SirleyNoName, you are spot on with that comment!

Jon always gets a pass for his parenting from the haters. But you are so right...if Kate had done that, they would be calling CPS again.

They are already crying foul about Cara doing the Sky Jumping! I don't see Kate forcing Cara to do this...Cara seems pleased as punch to do it! The girl is a natural athelete.

Poor Kate is obviously trying to face her fear of heights! God bless her, if she did jump I know her heart went first!

  85. You know I wish I could say I like the pic at the top of Jon and Kate with all their babies.

But honestly, it just makes me sick to rehash in my mind what Jon had and what he has thrown away!

Talk about regrets! This man must be numb to any personal feelings of warmth and natural human affection. To walk out willingly and leave behind such a mother and family is just unconsciencable.

I might could fathom it...IF...Kate was a drunkard, dope addict, child abuser, and an unfaithful wife. She was and never has been any of this.

Yes, Kate had a "blunt tongue"...but God only knows what all she put up with and the daily stresses that she faced. Nothing she ever did would justify what Jon has done to her and his children.

This show Monday could have included Jon if he had not been such a selfish meathead. These joys and pleasures would have been his along with his family if he had put his wife and kids best interests ahead of his stupid sexual escapades and ego mania trips with the media and the public.

  86. BM, you are relevant! The haterz cant say enough about you, it might not all be positive but "you" are the topic of their blog. Please do not let any of their negativity rub off on you, because that's the only way they know how to be. Where as you are a positive, beautiful person, inside and out! Always remember that. Hey maybe my post will make it onto their blog and I can be relevant for awhile. :)
