Kate Gosselin Sends All Eight Kids Off to School: USWeekly.com

Thursday will be a quiet day at the $1.1 million Gosselin family home in Wernersville, Pa: All eight children are now in school. Kate Gosselin sent the kids off Thursday morning. The six-year-old sextuplets -- Aaden, Joel, Collin, Alexis, Hannah and Leah -- all wore matching sweatshirts (boys in black; girls in white) and jeans. Nine-year-old twin sisters Cary and Mady also boarded a bus. Though dad Jon was M.I.A., Kate's bodyguard, Steve Neild, was there. Kate, 35, recently blogged that she was in "awe" and "amazement" as all her kids headed to school fulltime. Said the famous mom, "Reaching this milestone is a privilege."

Jon Gosselin hasn't found publisher for his parenting book: NYDailyNews.com

Looks like Kate Gosselin has some competition in the literary world. According to PopEater.com, the reality star's ex-husband, Jon Gosselin, is teaming with leadership coach Dr. Sylvia Lafair to write a book about his trials and tribulations as a father of sextuplets and twin girls."Jon is still deciding what exactly the book will be about, but knows he wants to focus on his parenting skills," a Gosselin pal told the gossip website. "There is no deal yet or timeline, but the [interest] in Jon from publishers is huge right now, so he's going to strike while the iron is hot."

The Gosselins shot to fame during their time on TLC's "Jon & Kate Plus Eight," a reality show that chronicled the couple's daily life trying to raise eight children. Though the volatile couple divorced in December 2009 after a very public separation, Gosselin believes parents can relate and learn from his situation. "Expect the book to include Jon's journey from high school to father of sextuplets by age 27," the insider added. "What the book won't be focusing on is how quickly he moved on, after Kate, with two much younger girlfriends, his partying nights in Las Vegas or his new huge tattoo that covers his entire back."

Despite previous reports which linked Gosselin to several high-profile work opportunities – he was once rumored to be working on a children's clothing line with Ed Hardy – the reality star has-been is reportedly set to begin work with Dr. Lafair, whom he met a year ago to help with overcoming the difficulties in his life. While his ex-wife is already a successful author with three books under her name, Gosselin appears to be in good hands as well. Dr. Lafair is the author of the award-winning 2010 business book, "Don't Bring it to Work.".

  1. Oh my, I hope she wears something nice, doesn't show too much cleavage and doesn't smack her gum. Will Steve be there to protect her from the stars? I kid. Congratulations on the gig! I wish fun projects like this didn't take her so far from home. I have a short trip planned in early Sept. without my little one (okay, she's a teen - but she is really little) and I get panic attacks thinking of being away from her!

  2. Kitty my head is a bit swelled from my ego tonight. I ACTUALLY GOT SOMETHING ON FIRST! Recently because I have been so busy planning for my vacation I am the last person to get the scoop on things. But I was e-mailed that ET was sitting on something bigger than the Jimmy Fallon opening skit. I couldn't say anything until it aired but I was biting my nails. This is HUGE for Kate and the haters can say what they may, but ET thought she was such a great Dancing With The Stars Correspondent, she was tapped for some time to cover the Emmy's on CBS.

    How cool is that? The trolls are officially going to combust all at once at the person they thought was on her 14 of her 15 minutes.

  3. And Kitty I take trips without my kids all the time, but that does not mean I love them any less. This is work for her, and work is work that I wish I only had!

  4. Well I typically don't watch the Emmy's but I think I will be watching the red carpet part.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Great Baby Mama! I detest the Emmys and consider them boring actually. But I will watch this year.

    ReplyDelete
  6. fascinated~ I never watched the Emmy's either. Nowadays it's all about Reality TV. I only really watched the Oscars and and the Golden Globes. But this is an honor, one I have always dreamed of! haha (enter birds chirping and doves singing here)

    The great thing is, she is confirmed to be the opeing skit, so you don't have to weatch the whole thing! I wish they could monitor who watches just the begining. lol

    ReplyDelete
  7. I was thinking we could talk about what she should wear. I will give all the suggestions to ET. What do you think? I really liked her in that blue gown she wore the finale of Dancing With The Stars. I will post it on my site again. Blue looks great on her.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I don't care for her recent clothing choices, but I thought her wedding gown for the vow renewal was lovely. Maybe something like that. Flowy, not tight. Not black or bright, but a more muted color. Simple and elegant hair and makeup. She should not upstage those she interviews.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Ohhhh this is GREAT!!! I am so excited!! She must be so nervous and oh yes the big question WHAT IS SHE GOING TO WEAR....eekkk (excited)

    ReplyDelete
  10. I still think it would mean so much the kids if they were able to get dressed up all fancy, and be at the Emmys with their mom, she would not have a show if it wasn't for the kids! My opinion,as a mom who shared the spotlight with my daughter at the United Nations a few years ago.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I'm betting it's something totally different than what we've seen. IMO with her blond hair now she looks great in red. Okay, this is another gig not based on the kids but on Kate. Okay anti Kate people, you want her to work without having kids involved. So are you capable of wishing her well.

  12. Kitty has some vintage Chanel in the back of the closet. AND a yellow diamond tiara. She tells me she's saving them though. Maybe something vintage. YSL and Gucci always have great vintage pieces that show up. Alexander McQueen since he died this year? NOT Versace! Sigh. I miss Kevin Aucoin. I can only wonder what he would have done with her makeup.

    TLC has some new sextuplets so I hope the Gosselins can be released.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    So the new sextuplets are ok but not the Gosselin sextuplets?? Umm why??
  14. I don't get the comment about the kids in sweat shirts and jeans. They are clearly in school uniforms. I mean Lex is wearing a plaid jumper for crying outloud.
    ReplyDelete
  15. I think Kate always looks her most beautiful in understated, classic styles.
    I am not sure it is fame Kate is after.. are you? She has eight children which is a huge responsibility. She is not sitting on her rump collecting "the dole" she is taking care of and taking responsibility for her life and the lives she brought into this world. She is doing the best she can. I hope you are too. I hope that you don't have people you do not personally know reflecting on exactly what you are doing wrong with your life. You have no idea if Kate is actually hoping in her own heart to be able to put the kids completely out of filming.
    I will continue to cheer her on. She is doing the best she can in an imposssible situation.
    ReplyDelete
  16. annastasia - I think if Kate took the kids to the emmys, then people would say that she is just using them to make her famous.
    She is also working at the Emmy's interviewing people. I don't think she wants to look after the kids too.
    Now what I would do : )
    ... I would have my kids dressed up at home and watch me on tv. That way we could all share the night, but the kids would be safe and comfortable at home. Or this could be Jon's night to watch them.
    ReplyDelete
  17. Denise - I wasn't thinking of you, or Caregiver, or any of the others who post here and whose posts aren't deleted;I was thinking of entirely folks.
    The G kids did not film for 6months, INF didn't slow down with the shots a bit did they? That idiot showed the name of the school again too.
    I realize that paparazzi can't be restricted from public streets or sidewalks. However, there are states that restrict paparazzi from filming within 500 ft of a school or stopped school bus while on it's regular route during normal pick up and delivery times. That might be a good law for PA to consider.
  18. Linda: I was reading some old posts and saw that you were taking your daughter to a pediatric endocrinologist and she had some food issues. My tiny teen (she was a micropreemie) last year was given a diagnosis of failure to thrive (yes at this late age) and given a battery of tests. She had stopped growing a year earlier and we were sent to a great Ped. Endocrin. and my tiny one was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. So no wheat or gluten for her. The diet change has been wonderful and after a year, her weight has stabalized AND she even gained a pound and weighs in at 78 pounds and she is 4'7". Unfortunately a slew of doctors before this one wouldnt listen to us and dismissed us and now its too late for her to grow anymore. So she will be tiny forever. I hope your daughter doesn't have anything serious and that she is doing well. Do you have to deal with Celiac disease as well? I hope everything is going well. So Sorry to get so off topic, but I wanted to send good wisheeees for great health to you and your family. I know what its like to have a little one who is very sick.
    ReplyDelete
  19. The name of the school was revealed in Kate's scripture book.
    Of course the paparazzi (actually just one) made pics during that time; the family was in the news about custody, lawyers and arguments constantly.
    Most celebrity's children are left alone unless the parents are around.
    Mary Hart is retiring, who knows????
    ReplyDelete
  20. I feel like Kate is a regular mom like me and she has this wonderful opportunity to host on the red carpet. I can understand your excitement Baby Mama, don't you feel like it is you that was accepted to host the emmys.
    ReplyDelete
  21. I LOVE your post Adele. Very well said...
    ReplyDelete
  22. I don't remeber Kate every saying the name of the kids school point blank.I think I'm gonna have to check on that myself. I know the name bacuse I saw it on the school bus in paparazzipics.
    ReplyDelete
  23. I love her bus stop look. She looks so fresh at the wee hours of the morning...how does she do it? I am usually in my pajamas hoping that no one notices me or the fact that I haven't brushed my hair LOL.
    I seriously can't wait to see her and I am glad that she's in the beginning so i don't have to watch the whole thing.
    ReplyDelete
  24. Gee, if Kate is successful and Jon is too. I would think between both of them they could raise the kids very comfortably. HMMMMMM?
    Then TLC can be done with them.
    Get busy Jon and write that book. You can do too!
    I, like others have lost interest in all those kids shows on TV. Seen one& seen them all. Been there done that. It's a shame,
    ReplyDelete
  25. Linda - I do Hope Kate can support herself with out the kids. I also hope Jon writes that book and its a big success. It's a win, win situation for all of them.
    ReplyDelete
  26. I did not say Kate said the name; I said it was revealed.
    I think Octomom made us all re-evaluate our interest in mega families.I wish all the best for the kids and would love it if we didn't hear from them until graduation like the Dilleys.
    ReplyDelete
  27. #1CG- I really like TLC and I hope that they continue to film the Gosselins and other families.
    ReplyDelete
  28. Caregiver - I took wish success for both Gosselins; I too hope Jon's book is successful.
    ReplyDelete
  29. fascinated - I too enjoy programs about families and most of TLC I like (with some notable exceptions like Toddlers & Tiaras.)Even Cake Boss has kids on it.
    ReplyDelete
  30. Would somebody check the book please? Thanks I can't go downstairs to get the book. I do not recall seeing the name ofcthe school until Chris the pap's photos.
    ReplyDelete
  31. You are right LindaO, I don't like Toddlers & Tiaras either. I hope that TLC puts the show on to encourage other parents to pull back on their behaviours; however, at face value it looks like pure exploitation of people at their worst.
    ReplyDelete
  32. I despise Cake Boss. There is a scandal involving someone (I think a sibling?) on the news today.
    I used to watch "What Not To Wear" but got tired of it.
    Never really watched any of the big family shows or Little People stuff. Jen Arnold is sweet though, I have friends who had her take care of their baby.
    Kleinfelds makes me feel poor!! I would NEVER spend that kind of money on a wedding dress.
    ReplyDelete
  33. Denise - I only watch shows I like on any channel. I just don't watch them after about 10 mins of the show. I think it must have been a long time since you've bought a wedding dress, no offense.
    ReplyDelete
  34. Kitty - no celiac. Thyroid and diabetes and premies but we're all coping well.
    ----------
    ReplyDelete
  35. I have 3 married sons and all their wives were college educated and felt more than a few thousand dollars on a dress was ludicrous. They are future thinkers, want savings and a home not a stored dress. I think those Pnina dresses at Kleinfelds look like Fredericks of Hollywood rejects. Our paper had a bride picture in it this week and her areola was exposed. I know I am old fashioned but that was horrible.
    No married daughters yet but they will have the choice between a one time splash or a down payment on a home. I think they are smart enough to figure that one out.
    And no, none went to Disney for their honeymoon!!
    ReplyDelete
  36. I just read that Little People will go off after this season.
    ReplyDelete
  37. Is there something wrong with going to Disney for your honeymoon? It's supposed to be the happiest place on earth. I know two couples who went and had a blast.
    How many years was LPBW on do you know Denise? If I remember correctly the two younge were pretty little when they started.
    ReplyDelete
  38. I'd pick a house over a dress any day :)
    ReplyDelete
  39. I think Little People was on 5-6 years. Not sure. I saw it a few times but the messy house was more than I could bear.
    I am sure Disney is fine (we have never been) but they wanted to have a modest honeymoon and buy a really high quality stove. My DILS like to cook (I microwave!)
    ReplyDelete
  40. I spent $1,000 on a wedding dress. All these years later I think it was ridiculous. I'm sure if I try to sway my daughter in a different direction she'd tell me to stuff it.
    momsby, Disney for a honeymoon might be a blast, but it wasn't marketed a such when I got married. I went to Mexico.
    ReplyDelete
  41. Kitty - In the interest of being nice when you first posted today, I tried really hard to ignore your blog. I tried really hard to suggest that you email. I tried really hard to ignore your links. But could I ask one question. Please email me because I don't feel comfortable with you here until I get an answer. Q: Will your dog be helping you with your paper, or will you be writing it from your dog's perspective. I don't think I've ever met anyone who has ever done that.
    ReplyDelete
  42. I spent 250.00 on my wedding dress. My husband and I had a small (75 people) wedding. We paid for the bridesmaid dresses (2) (had a budding designer make all the dresses) and the tuxes, open bar, no dance, night of visiting. We wanted to put the money down on a house as opposed to an event. 18 years later, I don't regret it ... : )
    ReplyDelete
  43. Kitty - It certainly is an interesting perspective, I must say that. Do you have any other of your class papers he's helped you with. Just curious.
  44. Our Jon has been so busy blocking folks this week that he actually blocked the part planner for his Friday gig at Ultrabar, according to the Washington Examiner in a post this week. I think he's worked out now and unblocked her. That's good. It could have been a disaster.
    ReplyDelete
  45. Oops, that was party planner, not part planner.
    ReplyDelete
  46. Yeah I thought that was pretty funny
    ReplyDelete
  47. INTERESTING! Gosselin snubs D.C. party planner 08/26/10 9:00 PM EDT
    "Well, this could have been awkward. Reality television star Jon Gosselin is coming to Washington on Friday for a party at Ultrabar, but earlier this week, Gosselin and the party's host, Kelly Ann Collins, had a bit of an online miscommunication.
    Collins asked Gosselin via Twitter if he was ready to party. "See you next Friday night at Ultrabar," she tweeted. Next thing she knew, she was blocked from following the father of eight on the social networking site.
    "I think he thought I was a psycho stalker," Collins told Yeas & Nays.Gosselin later unblocked her and offered this apology: "never knew i had you blocked. sorry?" he tweeted, though he questioned why she kept posting things about him on Facebook.
    "I'm hosting the party on Friday, so I always post about my parties a lot and he happens to be the special guest," she explained.
    Ultrabar is bringing in various pop culture icons into town for parties. For Gosselin's party, the special guest will debut a "new tattoo, a new girlfriend and a new six-pack," according to promotional materials. (Um, what?)"
  48. I agree about the weddings that rich people weddings should only be for the rich. I know several people who had 20-30,000 dollar weddings while saddled w/student and credit card debt and unable to buy a house for 15 years. Not for me, but I wouldn't mind spending some extra on a honeymoon, nothing wrong with Disney if that's what the couple is into, I'd do a cruise or maybe Vegas emphasizing shows and shops more than casinos. I like casinos, but a couple of hours and a budget is enough for me.
    As far as Kate taking the kids, I do think it would be kind of neat if she could share some of her work with the older girls, but this might be too big and fraught with security issues for them.
    If TLC is having more shows with sextuplets, I don't think it has anything to do with being tired of the Gosselins, but I do think it has to do with an understanding that children should only spend soo much time filming and if they have more families of interest, spending less time filming each one, might be better. If people don't like the shous they won't watch and the ratings will dictate they go off the air, but I guess there are a lot of people who get some sort of satisfaction wasting their time watching shows they hate. I really don't get that, but it's what they do.
    ReplyDelete
  49. Jon picked up the kids today, I did like how he bent down and was talking to one of them.
    ReplyDelete
  50. Congrats on the scoop! I agree about getting ratings for the first 15 minutes, Kate does get a good draw! I am sure whatever she wears will be a knock out she looks wonderful in formal dress.
    ReplyDelete
  51. Good morning all. The thing you learn from your children.
    I was trying to look for free WiFi spots near Disney, thinking that might br good info for one of the About Disney sites. Sigh. One of my Tweeners popped by and asked me why I was wasting my time doing that. Hmmm. What I learned from him is: There is an app for iPhone, and other smart phones called Free WiFi. You use it, and via GPS it let's you know where all the free WiFi spots are while you are traveling. So if I'm not the only person who didn't know, now you know it also.
    ReplyDelete
  52. Linda--I just scanned the book quickly and didn't find the name of the school. Or maybe it is in the first book? I hope someone finds it and lets us know. Have to get house ready for company. Have a good one!
    ReplyDelete
  53. Forgot to say that I lent out the first book,
    ReplyDelete
  54. I scanned it to and did not find in and I just re-read Multiple Blessing and it's not in there. I think whoever said that is mistaking. I wholeheartly believe Kate would never reveal the name of their school. She didn't even allow TLC to film her dropping them off at the bus for Junior K last year.
    ReplyDelete
  55. I just saw pics of jon picking up ALL th kids at the same time yesterday afternoon. This must mean they are in 1st Grade because Kindergarten only had a half day. I think it was Denise and others who speculated that they were in Kindergarten, but I guess this clears it up. I'm happy for them because it means they aren't behind academically or developmentally. This is very good considering that they were so premature. Way to go tups! Keep hitting those books!
  56. Thanks, Kayla, for scanning too. I was wishing I had my Multiple Blessings book here. And-so-
    they are in 1st grade? Good for them.
  57. tashapork said - I guess there are a lot of people who get some sort of satisfaction wasting their time watching shows they hate.
    -----
    I agree, and why they waste their time coming to this site trying to warn us that appreciating the Gosselins or Kate is a waste of our time. I have more important things to worry about than someone else's hatred.
    ReplyDelete
  58. I'm going to second, no third, Corrina & Kayla. I cannot find any mention of the name of the school in the books. It would appear that it's one more rumor.
    ReplyDelete
  59. I think tonight is Jon's opening at Ultrabar in Washington,DC. I'm unclear about what it involves other than being there, but I wish him well and a very big audience. Good luck Jon,
    ReplyDelete
  60. Speaking of the Roloffs they promoted the school their kids went to repeatedly. I think in the beginning with J&K they may have made some TMI and not enough editing mistakes. Although, at the time the did not even realize they were making them. It was all new, and I'm sure they never considered people would do a frame by frame critique.
    ReplyDelete
  61. Linda-I don't know if it's a rumor, but when someone mentioned Chris's pics showed the name of the school, Denise commented that Kate revealed it in her book anyway. It's in Baby Mama's last post. Maybe she was commenting on I rumor. I'm not sure.
    ReplyDelete
  62. Denise I'm sorry, but I think you're wrong on this. If you like I'll waste my life and reread All I wanted to know again as well. Is the the one you are reffering to?
    ReplyDelete
  63. Maybe at the end of the show when the six went to preschool-their school was given credit.
    ReplyDelete
  64. Densie Kate may have said the street they lived on and that they went to preschool at their old church (this was on an episode), but I don't recall her mentioning the school they go to currently. Again, is All You Wanted to Know the book you are refferring to?
    ReplyDelete
  65. I think I am missing some of this discussion. The scripture book that Kate wrote is the Eight Happy Faces or whatever it was called. I have no idea if the name of the school was mentioned it and I am not following the discussion of why it matters.
    I am also not sure of what kind of picture of Gina you are looking for. There is one of her at Kate's house last Thanksgiving. Here is the link to that picture.
    http://www.radaronline.com/photos/image/32893
    ReplyDelete
  66. Denise yes I do have the link. However, I cannot copy and paste into this blog via my iPhone or the iPad. The link is too long for me to risk typing it without making a mistake. One error, and it won't load. Should I make a mistake, I have a feeling it will be a major drama. So wait, or go find it yourself. Your choice.
    ReplyDelete
  67. PAR - there was one photo of Gina on the beach at BHI standing to the side of the production crew. I do not believe, JMO, that she stayed the whole time. After the first paparazzi came on the scene, I have a feeling she left.JMO, but I think that Steve as chief of the security accepts that he will be photographed. Kate has also said that Gina babysits for them from time to time when Steve is accompanying Kate.
    There is also a huge African American bodyguard that also is with them sometimes. I guess we are lucky the trolls haven't made something out of that.
  69. Good morning everyone! Did someone mention Disney? See my ears light up when I hear those incredible words. My husband actually surprised us for our honeymoon. after our cruise he took me for 5 days to Disney and it wad better than the cruise. Great memories!
    I keep laughing when I see Anastasias comment. I don't know if you have young ones, but I don't know how she was supposed to be interviewing celebrites on the red carpet while dealing with her 8 children. Also, why would little kids want to be paraded around not knowing why?
    And I think that one of the Denises need to change their screen name here. It's getting to be like a multiple personality disorder. It's to confusing see our Kate fan come on and then she shuts off or something!
    ReplyDelete
  70. I don't have eight little faces. Soemone who has will have to check to see of the school is mentioned, but it is NOT in Multiple Blessings or All You Wanted to Know. I really want to clear this acusation up. I still beleive that Kate would NEVER say the kids school in a book. Someone please check on this :)
    ReplyDelete
  71. I'm confused by Jon and the beach towels. It doesn't look like he used them, but why is he carrying them? Doesn't make any sense, but then again, what does with Jon?
    The kids look cute in their uniforms -- especially the jumpers on the little girls. Next year my little one will start Kindergarten at a private school. I can't wait to take that first day photo in her jumper!
    ReplyDelete
  72. Im sorry! Im sorry! Linda, you told me to email and I posted instead!
    ReplyDelete
  73. Kitty - hmmm. Strange. When I click on your name, it takes me right to your blog which is a vitriolic attack on Kate. Now if it's just your sweet little dog who hates Kate, email me and we'll discuss. I wish you well and good health. Remember - no posting until you explain.
    ReplyDelete
  74. Jen Santos,
    I agree about the towels! Maybe it's a secret sign to the paps of some sort. Yeah, totally kidding! I have no idea why he has it with him, maybe it's totally random, or he's ready in case something spills...
    ReplyDelete
  75. Oh nameless one. I wish you health, happiness and peace in your life. I regret that you do not have posting privileges. Have a nice day. You have been deleted.
    ReplyDelete
  76. Ali that was too FUNNY! Actually seems to be too busy blocking people on Twitter to be concerned with messy clean ups. I'm concerned that he may be losing his apartment? and perhaps making tents in the back for the kids to sleep in??..just kidding. I feel that it is dangerous to have the kids covererd when walking. I don't know if he is trying to do this to make it seem like he's not in with the "paps". I feel there are other better easier ways that are less distracting.
    ReplyDelete
  77. The "nameless one" will soon have her privleges PERMANENTLY revoked. As always thanks Linda!
    ReplyDelete
  78. Baby Mama,
    At this point, it is starting to look like a pattern. I agree that there are better ways to protect the children from the paps. This approach is so Jackson, dangling his baby out the window, covered by a blanket.
    ReplyDelete
  79. Best Wishes Linda in handling Kitty The Dog. What the heck? She was really trying to smooze up to you. I thought her post smelled kind of fishy
    How did someone find out that the K8 were in 1st. grade? Most schools have all day Kindergarten for parents that need to leave them longer. Just Wondering???
    ReplyDelete
  80. I am so disgusted at this post by INF Daily. Classless trash. Read how Chris the pap (and I have no idea who wrote I just think since it's so stupid it's Chris) writes he thinks Kate & Steve are "boning"
    Kate Gosselin Stops at the Thrift Store; Rumors Swirl of Romance with Steve Neild
    INF Daily found Kate Gosselin making good use of her first day with all her kids in school. The mom of eight ran errands around Reading, PA this morning. First she stopped by her local consignment shop, where Kate was seen carrying a huge blue storage tote labeled “BOYS SIZE 3 consignment pants/shorts.” Next she was on to the dry cleaners where she picked up her favorite green summer dress. Then Kate headed on to the bank before going home.
    Just to get everyone all riled up, Us Weekly has an article claiming that Kate and Steve Neild are likely boning. “A witness observed Gosselin and Neild taking long, nightly walks on the beach during a recent vacation. ‘They looked at each other like they were an item,’ the onlooker tells Us.”
  81. Baby Mama, Yes that rumor is getting hotter and hotter by the day. I am surprized that you posted it. News sells whether it true or not! Is that the same article where it says Steve has tucked the kids in bed at night?
    ReplyDelete
  82. #1caregiver~ theres an even BIGGER rumor going aroung that actually I'M having an affair with Steve. There is also a rumor that I planed that story myself. But don't believe it!
    Best Wishes Linda in handling Kitty The Dog. What the heck? She was really trying to smooze up to you. I thought her post smelled kind of fishy
    How did someone find out that the K8 were in 1st. grade? Most schools have all day Kindergarten for parents that need to leave them longer. Just Wondering???
    _______________________________________________
    I figured it out. Kindergarten had a half day yesterday at their school, but Jon picked up all eight kids at the same time from th bus stop. First grade had a full day, so I assumed since they were there the whole day they are in 1st grade.
  84. Baby Mama - You crack me up. I thought I'd heard that rumor about you.
    -----------
    Kitty - I've received your email. We certainly need strong child advocates and I wish you well pursuing an education with your personal and family health concerns. If you are, indeed, neutral and just researching, I'd urge you to get your own blog or way of responding. Given the link to GWoP and the post that appears that someone else wrote, I think people will have a very difficult time accepting that you are neutral and just researching.
    I'll think about it. Best I can do. In the interim, I'd suggest you try other pro Gosselin blogs if you want a balanced approach.
    However, please understand - this is Baby Mama's blog. Should she decide you don't post then it is end of discussion.
  85. Caregiver - i'm trying hard to be tactful. I don't wish harm or hatred to anyone. I think it is difficult for many people to understand us here. They don't get the concept that we can disagree with someone's position without resorting to name calling, cursing, and personal attacks.
    Now how's that beautiful grandchild doing? I think it's about time for an update.
  86. Oh my goodness I'm so happy for Kate! It will be fun to watch- I can't wait! :)
    The kids looked so cute on their first day of school and I wish them all a fantastic school year!
    And about "Kitty the Dog"- I ended up clicking on her profile after she first posted because I thought the dog was very cute and when I stumbled on the nice post she had written about Kate (I kid!) I was going to say something but decided against it because I know people get defensive and it could have been a mistake (Wishful thinking on my part!) But anyway, glad you caught on Linda.
    Lol Baby Mama! Maybe Steve's just tricking people into thinking it's him and Kate so they don't find out about the too of you! Haha. ;)
  87. Yes, indeed it is,tx Linda for asking. I watched her t & Th., so nothing got done at this house but don't care. It is so much fun now that she 2 and can do more stuff. I have my Grandma bag full of things to review, like: color bears that are laminated, wooden shape board, fav. books that I like, and what ever else I decide to rotate into the mix. Her eye hand coordination is great so she can practice with pencils and markers that she has been using since she was about 14 months. Oh, and I gave them squissers for one year olds and now she has mastered how to cut with them. How great is that. I should explain that they are little scissors with out the finger holes, and their little hands just have to squeeze them. Fantastic way to teach them how to cut.
    Am I boring you yet, LOL. We also go marching around with the band instruments I got her. You probably think I am nuts but when you work with kids you have to have a silly side too. All the props and thing were from my Center, and I chose a whole bunch of new and use stuff for when I got g-kids. Now there here. Yippee!
    I signed in to tell anyone that is awake at 12:30AM tonight to go outside and look at MARS. You will be able to see it with the naked eye but don't go out naked wear PJ's
    BM I just sent you an e-mail about Mars. I saw it years ago with a telscope but it will be closer tonight, YAWN, hope to be awake but I don't think so.
    BM - Tx for the laugh about Stevie, You crack me up.
    ReplyDelete
  88. Cool thanks for telling me that #1...I'll probably be up since I've had trouble sleeping. And I promise I won't go out naked...that would definitely scare the neighbors. ;)
    I love those squissors. I used them with my preschool campers and my 3 year old. So cool.
  89. LMAO Baby Mama at the idea that you have time for a affair.....
  90. Kayla - Just because the g6 were picked up later with the twins doesn't mean that they were in 1st. grade for sure. They could have been in a child care 1/2 day program that they have for working parents or whomever. I am not trying to start anything here but am just curious. Kate could of had them tested and put in 1st. grade but that was not the plan last year.
    Pre-k was part-time last year and then Kindergarten was to be 5 days this year all day I think, who knows? Things can change but I try not to assume things. Except that Baby Mama has a crush on Stevie. LOL!
    Have a nice night and
    LOOK TO THE STARS FOR MARS!
    ReplyDelete
  91. CMO3 - every time I see your initials like that, my mind reads it as CP3O! Makes me chuckle! Just had to tell you that. OK, if you look for Mars, it will pass by our Moon and be about 1/3 the size of our moon. Our Earth will look like it has two moons tonight. It's a once in a life time deal and no one alive today will ever be able to see it again. The next time will be around the year 2287.
    ReplyDelete
  92. Kitty - I have deleted your post. Please go read my email back to you. I cannot answer you a third time tonight. Read the email. Okay?
    ReplyDelete
  93. Caregiver - I enjoyed your post about your grandchild so much.
  94. Has anybody heard how Jon's gig tonight is going? For his sake, and a J O B, I'm hoping it is going well.
  95. The Mars thing is a hoax. Has been a hoax every year since 2003.
  96. Thanks Tigger . My hubby and I discussed it this afternoon but I didn't want to rain on anybody's parade. We decided, it's a beautiful night, ALL of our kids are at sleepovers with friends, so we decided it was still a nice night for two on the deck, looking at the stars and a nice glass of wine. I was going to wait until tomorrow to use it as an example of how tumors repeated often enough get believed.
    ReplyDelete
  97. Well, lol I was trying to type Rumors not tumors and I haven't even had wine YET.
  98. Boy, do I feel dumb! I just went out to look at the Moon at 11:30 and theres' was only one really brite star by it. Tx Tig.
    Sorry C3PO! Good night!
  100. ahhh bummer, the moon was orange here tonight though...so pretty.
  101. Yes it's 1:45 and I'm still awake. Packing. My daughter has a bit of a cold. God figure right before a trip. I can't win!
    I was reading my post before and I just realized my phone didn't correct my spelling. It was a hot mess that took away from the fact that the cat is out of the bag. Steve was only walking on that beach with Kate as a decoy while I snuck up and waited for him in his room. Chris the pap who is a human stalker found out about the whole thing. Again this is a rumor I can't confirm nor deny...
    Anywho final fresh paper will hopefully be served to you via American Airlines....I am literally giddy with glee and happiness to be getting out of dodge and finally being able to put on my "ears" and bright pastel shirts with pride! Speak to you soon!
    ReplyDelete
  102. First, I want to wish the Gosselin children a wonderful school year.
    I hope Jon's book is a success, and I hope Kate does well on Emmy Night.
    I personally wish she'd wear her hair in a soft updo, and I agree she looks beautiful in blue.
    I hope it's her dream of a lifetime.
    ReplyDelete
  103. Good morning all.
    Baby Mama we're all looking for the fresh paper. The Disney fans in our ranks are envious of your vacation that is getting closer by the minute. Hope the colds are all better for your children.
  104. Shoot, Baby Mama, I meant to say looking forward. I'm coming to detest the errors I make with my not so smart phone.
    ReplyDelete
  105. I have noticed that I am usually the last one to post before Baby mama locks up the discussion.
    I want fresh paper, so I am going to say - have a great trip baby mama and I hope to see pictures of you and steve, I mean your family LOL.
  106. Has anybody heard how Jon's gig was at Ultrabar last night. I'm hoping he had good attendance. Not my cup of tea but I'm hoping that he did well. Happiness and success.
  107. I know it's not polite to laugh at people. But I just couldn't help myself. Watch out. Karma can be a real zinger.
    I'm catching up from yesterday, was reading People and came across their article about John Mayer and Jennifer Anniston. (He's not one of my favorite people but I understand his frustration with an article written.)
    http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20416256,00.html
    I thought, hmmm. What is this about and after checking I found out that it was his response to an article by Katy Hall of the Huffington Post. To say Mayer was "pissed" would be the least.
    To say that Katy Hall had to do revisions to her article because of her lack of proper reporting would be most accurate.
    Further checking showed this already covered well by IW. You'll find their article in Sports for a very good reason. The article there is right on the money! Start there and then read the other links.
    If the HuffyPuffy, excuse me, the Huffington Post wants to maintain their "standards" they might have a chat with their Entertainment Editor. Methinks the editor is in need of an editor to rein in this junk reporting.
  109. #1 Caregiver:
    They were in Junior K not Prek Last year. Kate doesn;t strike me as someone who would leave her kids at an afterschool care program. She always has somone pick them up when they get done with school. It is entirely possible that they were ready for 1st grade after juniork. Just because they are premies doesn't mean they will be very far behind. In fact, many catch up to their peers within a year or two.
    Lexii:
    Yes the twins should be in 4th grade bacuse last year they were in third.
    ReplyDelete
  110. I agee with Lexii, while the statistics say that preemies tend to be behind that is not always luckily for the children involved the case with all preemies. If the parents or extended family concentrate on bringing the children up to par they can easily even exceed normal children in their physical and mental capabilities. I know because that happened in my own family and several kids were born extemely premature but with lots of attention and love they even exceeded their other classmates in the classroom. Working both physically with healthy extra curricular activities like team sports while young and concentrating on educational activities can overcome those statistics. All it takes is extra love and devotion.
    Also it can be very beneficial depending on each individual child to hold them back a year so I personally would never judge a child or a parent for doing that. I personally held one of mine back not because of intelligence but because of lack of maturity and size. I can tell you it was the wisest decision we as parents ever made for our child who thanked us in later years for that decision because that's when the benefits show.
  111. Hello from me and the mouse my friends! I had the most amazing night. There is nothing like sitting with your family watching fireworks over The Magic Kingdom Cinderella Castle.... :)
    So I finally have fresh paper! Tonights fresh paper is in honor of Main Street Confectionery. When you walk into a candy store and smell the sweet suggary popcorm smell, all your stresses fade magically away. Add that to the joy of seeing my daughters eyes when handing her a lollypop almost bigger than her, well then you basically have made my entire year!
