Gosselin Kids Go To School All Day! New Kate Plus 8: The Big Apple, INF Gets The Pick-up

'Kate Plus 8' Airs August 30!  TLC will air the new one-hour Kate Plus 8 special “The Big Apple” where Kate and the kids are traveling to NY – by train! The Gosselins will visit Chinatown, Times Square, and even the Statue of Liberty. Hopefully we’ll see Kate at The Emmys!

"On Monday, August 30 at 9pm, TLC will air the new one-hour KATE PLUS EIGHT special "The Big Apple" where Kate and the kids are traveling to NY – by train! The Gosselin family has visited New York City before, but never like this. The family experiences new and exciting things throughout the city, from Chinatown to Times Square. And while Kate has planned many educational opportunities for them, the kids are most excited about their visit to the Statue of Liberty. But, will Kate be able to enjoy a trip with her kids or will the record breaking summer heat and the pressures of traveling in a big city with eight kids cause Kate to lose her cool?"

Back to school with the Gosselins: DailyMailUK.com

With all eight kids set to attend full time school for the first time this year, Kate Gosselin clearly has some shopping to do. And the 35-year-old mum made a much needed start yesterday as she took some of her big brood to the local stores to stock up on school supplies. But while most parents only require a few bits and pieces for the start of term, Kate needed a big trolley to carry several large boxes as she shopped near her home in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. Last week, the star blogged of the impending school return, writing: 'Today I write about a very momentous occasion: One — THE one — that I have known would come one day, and boy has it sneaked right up on me!

'What is the occasion you ask? ALL EIGHT OF MY CHILDREN will, for the first time ever, ATTEND FULL-TIME SCHOOL this year!!!!! 'I stand in awe, amazement and slight sadness at the thought of this [insert sad, nostalgic mommy music here please].' 'I absolutely cannot believe this day will come in just two short weeks. I feel like just a few minutes ago I was writing in my blog about how school was over and summer was beginning. And here we are again! 'Back to a bit of seriousness - this huge landmark in our lives reminds me once again of just how very blessed I am to be the mother to eight healthy, beautiful, always hungry, wonderful, awe-inspiring, sometimes goofy, intelligent, perfect, sometimes grouchy, delicious and delightful children!!!! 'Reaching this milestone is a privilege that is never a guarantee extra especially not in a high-risk sextuplet pregnancy -- and I feel honoured (even if a bit sad) to send them marching off to school...

Kate shot to fame through the series Jon And Kate Plus 8 which followed the fortune of she, her ex-husband Jon and their huge brood. Viewers became transfixed as the couple struggled with family life and ultimately split after he had an affair with the nanny. But Kate has gone from strength to strength after ditching her womanising husband. She has undergone a dramatic make-over and appeared as a contestant on Dancing With the Stars – the US version of Strictly Come Dancing. Meanwhile Jon, 33, has lurched from scandal to scandal and has been dropped from the show that made him famous which has been renamed Kate Plus 8.

Kate Gosselin: All 8 Kids Will Be in School All Day: Limelife.com

Remember when the Gosselin sextuplets were just tiny little tots? Well, now Kate and Jon are divorced and all 8 of their kids will be in school full-time this fall. Kate says she's sad, but is she really? Kate Gosselin had a busy summer with her kids. From beach vacations to kind of camping with Sarah Palin in Alaska, we bet she's happy to be home. But in less than two weeks, she'll be sending all her kids to school, all day for 5 days a week. The sextuplets are all 6 now, while Cara and Mady are 9. Whatever will Kate do with her time? Well, we're sure she'll find a gig or two.

We really doubt Kate Gosselin is very sad though. And to be honest, we can't totally blame her for being a bit relieved to have 8 kids gone for about 7 hours a day. Hopefully she makes sure to spend some quality time with them when they get home from school each day. And it's true that Kate is lucky to be here with all 8 of her kids healthy and ready for school. She says, "... this huge landmark in our lives reminds me once again of just how very blessed I am to be the mother to eight healthy, beautiful, always hungry, wonderful, awe-inspiring, sometimes goofy, intelligent, perfect, sometimes grouchy, delicious and delightful children!!!!We wish the best of luck to Mady, Cara, Hannah, Aaden, Joel, Collin, Alexis, and Leah in elementary school this year!

  1. Baby Mama you have a lot for us to comment on this post!! I can't wait to see the New York episode. I have always wanted to go there but I doubt I ever will. Even though people griped about her having the kids out in the heat I don't think she should have cancelled the trip because of that. You just plan to be hot and take extra steps to cool off. It is exciting and sad to see all 8 kids off to school. Jon and Kate both will have to make the time they spend with the kids count since they won't be with them as much. I think that both parents made the most of the time they had with the sextuplets before they started school. The INF video just made me sad. I wish that things were better with Jon and Kate so he could just drive up to the house to get them or drop them off. They may not be at each others throats but surely the kids feel the tension and the coldness. Last but not least, I hope all 8 kids have a wonderful school year!

  2. Everytime I see them, gosh, I can't believe how fast they are growing!

  3. Why are Mady and Cara kissing Kate goodbye at the Pediatrician's office?

  4. I have twins who are 21 now, and I clearly remember their first full day of school, instead of half-days. It was the longest (and quietest) day of my life!
I don't see how Kate can prepare for eight kids being gone all day AT SCHOOL for the first time. I hope she has something planned for the day. It will be harder than she thinks, I'm afraid.

  5. All 8 were gone for the full day last year but only 3 days a week.
It is a shock; I had a house full and now it seems so quiet.....

  6. DandelionGirl~ Welcome! I sure hope I have alot of people to comment on this post! People seem to ask me how I realte to Kate Gosselin. And when it comes to dealing with the stress of raising young children, I'm right there with I'm sure alot of us. Or at least those that have raised children many years ago could try to remember how hard it was. She could have 10 nannies and all the money in the world, but at the end of the day it's her that puts her kids to bed and kisses them good night.

Entering the "tween" years is a very hard and careful process. I know. 9-12 is the new 13. I am struggling right now and do look to see how Kate is deals with it. My other "baby" that I just rocked crying from postpartum while watching Jon & Kate Plus 8 2 years ago is heading off to PRE-pre school for 3 hours! She's 2 and now it's off to school. So while it's not the same, I do kind of relate to having a span of time where I will dance with all the joy in my heart. Go for nail and hair appointments and plan my next gig to make some money & put food on the table. Just like Kate Gosselin.......

  7. Baby Mama I certainly agree about the tween years. Also, thank you to so many who voiced your thoughts and prayers about my daughter. Despite being rail thin, she does have an underactive thyroid, just like her twin, along with some food allergies. We're seeing a pediatric endocrinologist and we'll begin treatment. She's excited about going back to school today. Again, thank you. Prayers and good thoughts help in life!

  9. Good Morning all!! So glad you have a diagnosis for your daughter, Linda. It would be really scarey to have a child faint.

Welcome, DandelionGirl--Why people complained about the heat in NY is beyond me. It was also hot at some of the amusement parks they were at,
and I don't remember hearing all that in those situations.

Denise, I wondered if Jon was picking them up after their appointment. JMO

BabyMama--Enjoy your vacation!! We look forward to hearing about it and things here are in good hands with Linda at the helm.

CMO3--I hope that headache is gone!!

I'm so happy for Kate that her beautiful kids are all healthy and have met this milestone. It might take some time for her to adjust to the quiet house and having more time on her hands but I can't imagine her ever not being busy.

  10. Linda,
That's good news! Glad she will be one her way to feeling better!

  11. I don't understand the video... if Kate went to all that trouble of having all that landscaping done to prevent the paps from taking pics of her kids - why does she still force Jon to pick up the kids at the end of the driveway? I get that she is pissed at him but she knows that paparazzi are out there and they are going to jump on any given chance to take pics. She is being a hypocrite - she is saying one thing and doing another. So to avoid that whole mess (especially w/ the meltdown video a week or so ago) she could simply allow Jon to come up the driveway to the front door. He doesn't even have to come in the house, Kate or the nannies can have the kids all ready to go in the van and all Jon has to do is jump in and drive off. Problem solved. I am sure that the paparazzi will somehow find a spot where they can get pics, but videos of meltdowns won't be possible from that far away.

  12. The post by SAHM is spot on. Neither Kate or Jon is thinking about the long-term effects on their children. I work for two psychological practices and have seen first hand the effect divorce has on young children. Co-parenting counseling can work wonders. Kate continues to think along the lines of "poor me" and Jon just doesn't think about anything. I hope, for the childrens' sake, that they won't have cameras in their lives for much longer and their selfish parents will consider co-parenting counseling. It's time to give these 8 children back their childhood, their extended family, and their dogs.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I don’t know, I think there is more to it than that. We don’t see pictures of Kate and the children leaving on most days, only when Jon is coming or going with them. If the paparazzi were always there, it seems like we would see more of just Kate and the children coming and going. Somehow they know and come when Jon is doing a pick up or drop off.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Lynn,
I agree that co-parenting counseling could potentially work wonders. But I disagree that Kate is thinking along the lines of “poor me”. Kate, although not perfect by any means, has moved forward, worked hard, and has taken responsibility for her actions. If she has days or weeks where she is discouraged or overwhelmed, then I think she deserves some slack.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Thank you for the warm welcome! I have been reading this blog for a long time but just haven't posted.

Wildchild has a valid point. I wonder if the paparazzi are following Jon so they know when he is getting the kids. I hate to think that Jon would call them when he is getting the kids! I know that's been rumored before. I don't want to believe it.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Interesting points, and welcome new posters. Something happened here more than we know. There is a reason here that Jon isn't allowed inside and it was obviously agreed upon in their last trip to court. Is it the chickens-loose flap, was it bringing on the relatives that had attacked her, was it planning cookouts with friends, was it the nannygate sleepover, was it the paparazzi filming Jon in back field, was it the bringing Kate Majors through the hedges, was it having Michael Lohan, was it bringing Ellen over, was it hauling Kate back to court multiple times and having it sent out to media before Kate was even notified, was it a last straw , was it??? Nobody knows for sure except Jon and Kate and the respective attorney!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Nobody knows but them. That said, it is strange that we don't see much of Kate coming and going in the driveway, mostly Jon. We see shots of Kate out: cleaners, target, groceries, UPS store, hair etc but not often with the driveway or yard. I do know that Kate appears to try and avoid the paps, so perhaps the issue of unwanted people there invited by Jon came up in court and this was a court solution. We have no idea, but I'm not buying it's all Kate's fault. I think some it is his fault also.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Nice catch there wildchild (about the paps catching the exchange). See how we all benefit from other points of view :)
The INF story about the exchange being acrimonious is false…Kate not only waves to the kids but also to Jon.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I am really, really hoping for the kids' sake we don't have another Jon filed lawsuit right before the Emmy Awards.

    ReplyDelete
  20. What I'd do if I were Kate: 1. Find a neutral location off property for the exchange , eg Police department parking lot, 2. Install a second gate 50 feet inside the first one and screen the inner section with trees and shrubbery. Exchange takes place inside the gate but still limited access. Friends in FL had double gated system in FL for UPS deliveries - they had codes to get past first gate but not the second one so entry was limited. 3. Have a designated place to meet with an understanding that if paparazzi were there, calls would be made for proceeding on to police station with exchange to take place there, or to library, or wherever. 4. A lot of trouble but I'd hire somebody to drive an empty van to a pickup point. Then I'd drive person car with kids - even to making multiple trips relaying them. There has to be some restricted area in Wernersville, be it courtyard hotel, parking, a neighboring farmers land, police, fire station, etc Hey! Fire Station. They have doors that close. Arrange to do the switch with doors closed and make a contribution to them or their benevolence fund.

    ReplyDelete
  21. There are solutions, just costly. Ok, here's another. Buy an identical van. Have two vans leave, turning in opposite directions. Or have the vans swop inside a second gate; drop off van with kids, pick up empty van. Reverse the process the next visit.

  22. So much of life is how you look at things from your own perspective. Similar to even how we pronounce things such as tomato - Is it "toe-may-toe", "to-mah-toe"or even "toe-may-tah" or "toe-mah-tah" or ter-may-ter". All are correct by regional pronunciations while others are equally frowned upon.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Linda, while I agree with you 99.99% of the time this is "the one" that I don't. It's the expense that I have a problem with....we all know Jon doesn't have a job so Kate will have to shoulder the entire expense. All over something that Jon has done to create this outside the grounds exchange. I understand that it may help the kids in the long run but once again it would be left up to Kate to correct something that Jon started. I just see it as enabling Jon if Kate continues to clean up after him.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Dee - I'd agree with you, except that I think not matter why the problem exists, Kate is going to have to find the solution. Maybe one day, but not yet, Jon will be able to find solutions but I don't see that happening until he is strong enough to stop blaming others and look to himself for insight and decisions. Things happen. Divorces happen. Get on with life. If you're going to have to solve the problem, then there is a solution. (Kate gets major points in my book for round 1 of trees and shrubs.)

  25. Hey all,

I was in Wyomissing on Sunday. I even went into the Target that Kate shops in and the infamous Toys R Us she and Jon were in (just for a minute looking for a specific gaming system). No paps in the parking lot... No sign of Kate...
It's a super crowded Target though. I couldn't believe how busy it was.

As for the whole custody pick up scenario, I think it's just ridiculous. Jon should be allowed to go past the gate to pick up the kids privately beyond the shrubs. It's not like before when he was the only adult there and could bring whoever he pleases into the house. We are talking about a driveway.

It's for the kids, not for Jon, not for Kate. When are they going to do one thing unselfishly for the privacy of their children? They need to get over their animosity for each other in this one instance. It's not like they have to spend time with each other. Kate wouldn't even have to leave the house if Jon is in the driveway. She can say her goodbyes in the house. JMO.

  27. Denise - I have finished my check of the tax rolls and cross-referencing them to rental properties on Bald Head Island. Since rental rates are published and I was already familiar with BHI, that didn't take too long. I then called up the map link on the tax rolls and cross checked again. Then I cross referenced with Google earth map views so I could view all houses around. There are trees in the way of Hall being able to see the house where the G's stayed. The aerial/satellite maps also show the beach accesses. I looked at every configuration I could think of, and I can't find a way that could have been blocked. On the end of the beach where they were, it's a big beach and not so many people so can't figure out how that could have disrupted anybody there. On the golf end of the island, and the marina end for example, the population is a little denser. I don't want to embarrass the Halls, even though their daughter is a different story. To completely confirm, I'm going there for our annual girls' weekend and I'm going to make my own photos. If doc says no to ferry ride which can be choppy, then I'm going to make available the aerial shots I have from when our place was on the market. People can draw their own conclusions then.

  28. Schmecky,
Just like the rest of us, you don’t know why they do the drop off the way they do. It’s quite possible that with all of the trouble with Jon bringing people to the house, etc, that another party, (court, mediator, etc), suggested they do it that way to avoid further contention or whatever. I’m not saying that is why, but I feel bad for Kate and even Jon that people automatically assume the worst about them ALWAYS.

    ReplyDelete
  29. wildchild,

I totally agree, however, there has been so much speculation about everything and everyone here the past few threads what's one more? lol.

Actually I don't think I was "speculating" anything really. It's not speculation that Jon isn't going past the gate. It's obvious. I didn't speculate why, or who decided it (although the infamous anonymous "reports" are Kate won't allow it). I'm not sure why Jon would decide not to go past the gate himself, but it's possible (though not probable).

Actually the court can "suggest" anything they want, but Jon and Kate can agree to do it more privately past the gate if it's what's best for the children. If the court suggested it I would think it's because there seemed to be an issue with it.

What happened to the house is "for the kids"?

I also wasn't assuming anything about Jon or Kate in particular. I wasn't saying it was Kate's doing. Again, it could be Jon's decision to not want to go past the gate. Regardless of who made the decision, it seems like they should rethink it. JMO.

  30. SchmeckyGirl - Were you looking for Kate in Wyomissing?

    ReplyDelete
  31. Schmecky,
Yes, and I agree that it was probably decided between the two of them, I was just tossing out some thoughts. But the part that bothered me was when you wrote this:

"When are they going to do one thing unselfishly for the privacy of their children?"

I just thought that was not fair to either of them, no matter how bad things look from the outside, we don't know what they are thinking, what they have tried, and who is ultimately the one who is "wrong", especially on things like this drop off.

    ReplyDelete
  32. GeeWhiz,

Not sure if you are asking if that's why I went there specifically... but no.

I was on my way to Lancaster and saw the big Target sign from the highway and stopped in. I didn't even realize from the exit which one it was until I got to the shopping center (I wasn't driving so I wasn't paying much attention to where we were at the moment.)

While I was in Target I didn't "look" for Kate specifically but I also didn't see her. I was on a "mission" looking for something specific and in a rush. I was in and out. Actually I was almost dizzy when I left. It was really crowded and I had tunnel vision for what I wanted. Same thing at Toys R Us. In and out.

But as I did look for paps in the parking lot while I was waiting for my husband to circle back for me. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  33. I think the D/O should be up the drive. Great post SG. What they did this week went well though and I don't think the exchange should be anyplace else. Too stressful for the kids. Those 2 Adults should handle it like adults, but I also think someone is getting pay backs here.

Linda, were all those options about P/U and D/O supposed to be funny or not? I think funny!

SAHM & Lynn, ITA, I wonder about those same things. Counsiling and Co-Parenting. J&K need to make a better effort.

    ReplyDelete
  34. And I guess to be totally honest, I want to believe that it’s not true that Jon would call the paps, but there does appear to be something going on. So, I will hope it’s not him. And, Kate tries to mostly ignore the paps, she put in the landscaping, and she seems to try to go about her business without them. I think she has done a lot, not sure how the landscaping and such would be considered selfish.

    ReplyDelete
  35. wildchild,

I just think it doesn't matter who is right or wrong at this point. I never speculated who is right or wrong either. I just say whoever it is, even if it's both of them, put it aside for the sake of the kids.

I can't think of one good reason that they should do the drop off/pick up outside of the gate.

    ReplyDelete
  36. SchmeckyGirl - That's good. Would hate to think you were a stalker.

    ReplyDelete
  37. GeeWhiz,
Stalker? LOL! Uh, no. Although I do find it funny that she feels the need to have a bodyguard sometimes yet roams freely around Wyomissing without one. That's somewhere that any stalker would know she will show up eventually.

    ReplyDelete
  38. One solution would be for the nanny to drive the kids back and forth from Jon to Kate, then the goodbyes could be said in the house or Jon's apartment. Also I have never heard Kate say that Jon wasn't allowed on the property it could be Jon refusing to enter it so he doesn't get blamed for anything. I am glad that Mady and Cara spent part of the visit with their dad. I wouldn't blame them though for wanting a break from their brothers and sisters though. I do think that

    ReplyDelete
  39. Schmecky,
Really not trying to beat a dead horse here, but my point was not that I think you were trying to figure out who was right or wrong. My point, was that it was really harsh to ask, "When are they going to do one thing unselfishly for the privacy of their children?"

    ReplyDelete
  40. Caregiver - no I wasn't trying to be funny. When I'm trying to solve a problem, I try to list every possible solution in a matrix form, then decide.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Forgot having the nanny drive them. That was another very simple solution! Good idea.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Schmecky thanks for comments about my daughter. You too Corrina and I apologize if I've left out others. Thanks all.

  43. Good afternoon everyone! Running out from work I crammed a gyro from the street into my mouth and well.. I hsve the worst tummy ache right now. I am the worst eater on the planet and vowed that it's salads for the rest of the week. I love the one from Wendy's.. but is $7.00 a pop normal? I was so proud of myself! I walked all the way from 67th Street all the way to 34th Street Penn Station..

Schmecky~ Soo excited for next weekend! Its always hard waiting for months, but when you go you will have a blast too!

After all Jon has said and done to Kate this past year, the final straw MUST have been when he brought his girlfriend over and the paps took all those photos. I disagree that Kate is wrong for not allowing Jon on the property. I would be pissed too. It's now her right and maybe she will change her mind in the future, but Jon has shown he can't be trusted. I showed the video to this guy is now working with Jon. Jon probably calls the guy in advance. The guy waits in his car up the street till Jon arrives. Then takes happy photos of Jon at the apt. with the happy kids. Great media coverage for Jon who had the worst dad wrap in America right now sand Michael Lohan. Helps to get his name still out there, keeping relevant.

Jon knows exactly what hes doing. It's pretty obvious at this point.

    ReplyDelete
  44. wildchild,

I don't mind your continuing the topic.

What was harsh about it? Maybe I worded it wrong. How about "Why can't they do this one thing unselfishly for their children?" One, or both of them, is putting their feelings first before their children's feelings in this instance. I'm not sure why it's harsh to say it's selfish. It is.

    ReplyDelete
  45. L/O, let it go! That's just weird and stalkerish. Her family has a home there, so what. Kate should not have announced on her blog that they will go there every summer. She has set up the paps for next year.
Also antagonized those who cannot afford those type of vacations paid for by a TV network.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Baby Mama, the Wendy's salad has a ton of calories according to Today show yesterday, do gyro might have been better, lol

    ReplyDelete
  47. Schmecky, guess it's a good thing your name isn't KateG or you'd have been accused of all kinds of things for driving through there, lol. As in did you leave your kids in car circling in boredom waiting for you? Did you leave husband in car because you would have looked at each other wrong if he'd been with you? Lancaster is such a neat area.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Well someone has to drive Jon's car home for him since he can't leave it in the driveway at the house and he needs to drive the van. What if his girlfriend is willing to do that? Is it wrong? I don't think so.

Kate talks about having a new man in her life all the time. She just did an interview about it, so she's ready to move on. Why can't Jon? Would it be wrong then for her to have him in her driveway to pick her up?

Again, what about "the house is for the kids"? It's their driveway. And it's just a driveway! No one is going into the house. There has to be an adult present in the house when the kids get picked up. They just won't let anyone in the house. Jon has to be announced for the gate to open up. It's not like he's sneaking on the property. Kate can watch him out the window to make sure he doesn't steal a chicken, or even an egg.

I wonder why she doesn't have a surveillance system. Or if she does already. Especially since she seems so worried about "security." She can have a camera pointed at the driveway to catch Jon in the act of all his misdeeds.

I wonder who Jon bothers all the time to help him pick up the kids and drive his car back...

    ReplyDelete
  49. Actually Linda, I was waiting out front for him for a while. When I spotted his car a bit away waiting I yelled across the parking lot "Come! Come here!" ;)

    ReplyDelete
  50. The gate changes took place after the last court trip, and had Jon not agreed, I have no doubt we'd have heard about it. Yep, junk tumors circulate about Kate usually from anon best friend, 2nd cousin once removed, somebody who once might have known a neighbor a mile away, or maybe the garbage man heard something. Same as the drunk and free the chickens Jon via the neighbor who has mystical oracle diving power. There are solutions. My money is that Kate will find one. Soon as the house mortgage was transferred to her name the trees and fences went up.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Schmecky,
It sounded like you were saying they NEVER do anything that isn’t motivated by their own, selfish designs, that’s why it sounded harsh.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I'll bet the locks got changed also. And I'll be doggoned if my ex would have a key after the stunts either.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Schmecky,

LOL about yelling at your husband.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Linda, I would hope Kate got the locks changed! I would too!

wildchild, I understand your issue with what I wrote. I don't think everything they do is selfish, but I do find A LOT of what they both do selfish, sometimes together, sometimes individually, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Oh no, Schmecky. You yelled for him to come? Come here? That's how I call my dog. For shame! Actually, I don't. To the dog it's "Come you sweet doggy, you." you heard it here, folks, SG yells at her hubby and treats him like a dog. I'm laughing like crazy. Okay, did you turn your leg? Did you have thoughts of "Where is that man?" Because, if you did, we have another oracle who can read your brain thoughts so be veerrryy careful!

    ReplyDelete
  56. Schmecky,

Also LOL to the thought of you being a Kate stalker. Would you wear the Team Kate shirt your bro-in-law (is that who got it for you?), gave you? ;)

  57. I do not understand why someone thinks it is necessary to make snarky digs at Kate on this blog. Did not have that for 5 days so it is too bad it had to start again.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Nope Denise. It isn't. First of all, if you have less than a huge crowd, you can stay there for a lot less than small Disney rooms on the outer ring (I know you don't like Disney either but example can understand.) Not everything there is mega mansions which she chose not to point out. I would carefully block road names to protect the Halls. The veracity of their daughter is a huge difference. She chose to write what she wrote. It's private because it's a 20 minute ferry ride to get there. Wilmingtonians go over for the day, ride bicycles, do the nature preserve, fly kites, eat in restaurants, and go home - beach access is open to anybody. You could stay overnight or go back to mainland. You can go for rhe day, eat fish tacos, rent bikes, and go back for about $25. Or you can rent an 6 bedroom home with linen service and cleanup for $8k for 7-9 nights. It runs the gamut and she chose to portray it one-sided. That's the point. Area attitudes there ate so live and let live it's best compared to the Conch Republic aka Key Wrst.

  59. GeeWhiz,
Sorry if I offended you. I guess I just figured some things were tongue-in-cheek and I can’t help but laugh, mostly because of the huge deals that were made out of things like Kate yelling at Jon in Toys R Us. I’m not really intending to snark at Kate, but more the whole situation. I am a Kate fan!

    ReplyDelete
  60. I had this quick flash/image of Kate - in time gone by - spending the first school day with her friend at the spa. Remember? What's her name? Remember when a spa day was the biggest treat?

PU/DO question. Didn't Jon "allegedly" have drugs and/or weapon at the house? Seems to me those types of issues would affect his access to the house...

Schmecky - I would have been looking for her at Target too. I look for her every time I'm in NYC. I used to look for Jon when he had an apartment there just so I could pretend I didn't recognize him. How sad is that?

You guys make me miss PA. But I saw an alligator in the little pond behind our house the last few evenings. A neighbor told me there are two of them. (Does that mean there are more than 2?) I thought of Alexis. AL-DRA-GA-TOR! Now I'm out there all time looking...but keeping my doggie carefully away!

  61. Linda O - How do I find what number I am on this site? Seriously?!

    ReplyDelete
  62. We do not know for sure why Jon is not allowed through the gate but it is pretty clear he is not. We do know that he has had Ellen on the property when Kate was not home as there were pictures of Ellen there. We also know he has had other girlfriends there.

There is also rumor with some evidence that he vandalized the property. If the chicken story has any truth to it, the police may have told Jon to stay off the property.

We also know that the visit that Jon dropped off the crying kids, Jon had his pap friend in the car waiting for him (the guy has been indentified as such). He was not the pap taking the pictures but it is likely that Jon does let his pap friend(s) know when the drop off is being made.

As a divorced parent, I am very used to other people labelling it as selfish when a parent decides not to let the other parent continually take advantage of them. It is easy to pontificate about what others should do when you haven't walked in their shoes.

  63. Holli Day - you can search through the followers and count, or if you give me until tomorrow, I'll look it up for you.:) I just can't do it on this itty bitty iPhone and need the big computer. I'm whipped tonight and still gotta survive dinner, and bedtime, lol. Some idiots think Baby Mama made up the count bit it's right here on the page.

  64. Wow cant belive it good luck all 8 of them when well mady and cara be in middle schooll Hope they all well be happy in full time school :D

    -----------------------------------------

Yes, but that is a "rumor" by an "anonymous source." The rumors by anonymous sources are abundant. We choose to believe what we want... want we feel fits the scenarios as we see them. It seems that speculation is only allowed when it's against Jon.

I really believe that the Kate fans gravitate toward believing the negative rumors about Jon while the non-Kate fans gravitate toward believing the negative rumors about Kate.

Likely that Jon does let the pap friend know when the drop off is being made? Yes, it is possible, but that's also speculation. It's also possible Kate calls them. But that's also speculation. It's possible TLC calls them and both Jon and Kate have no idea, or they are both in on it. Heck, maybe it's possible the kids call them and then go on the websites to see all the commotion they start on radaronline and all the blogs and laugh their heads off in bed together every night.

And no... I don't really believe the last option.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Holli Day - yes, you can assume in FL that any body of water has alligators. The big bulls sound kinda like a big dog with a sore throat and you can hear them at night. Yes, guard your dog. Idiots feed them, making them look on humans as a food source (it's illegal to feed them and they aren't pets, ever!) The reason there are so many lanais around pools is gators go there too if it's really dry season so look before you jump into pools. Call animal control when they get bigger and they'll humanely relocate them. And last but not least, lol, remember to make sure you're not the slowest runner in your group! Lol

  67. I haven't bothered to post today because I have already stated where I stand on the whole pick up situation, but interesting reading today girls! LOL

I for one can't wait to see the New York episode and Baby Mama I hear ya on the gyro thing. I'm paying for a similar food incident LOL. I hope you feel better.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Thank you GeeWhiz! No snarky remarks about Kate please!

    ReplyDelete
  69. I miss gyros! Good ones. Not ones that make you ill. ;)

Can someone point out the "snarky" comments? I need to know what "snarky" is I guess because I didn't see anything I thought was snarky.

    ReplyDelete
  70. LOL Linda at the "slowest runner"! Scary though!

    ReplyDelete
  71. Linda~ Holy smoke you are right. No wonder why I didn't loose any more weight eating those salads! They are good though.

Holliday~ thank you for bringing this up! you can scroll through and check for your doggie in my followers section to see what number you are. or put your mouse over the empty photos to find your name. Apparently our little troll tried to come on and say I had no followers?? Insane. If they didn't want to follow anymore they can easily unfollow. Sometimes they do. But they are ALL still here and still coming on the site. But for whatever reason choose to read & not follow.

Also with fans of the show, it's not like they comment everyday. I wish they would, but some comment every once in a while and when I do see some of my old regulars I always say hi! People are busy this time of year and I understand that.

  72. Ok, I'm bored with "wildchild", so this is me now.

    ReplyDelete
  73. I love your pic Ali! So pretty.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Welcome Ali! (it seems to fit you better than wildchild. :)

    ReplyDelete
  75. Thank you CraftyMomof3! I love the outdoors!

    Thanks Linda. :)

    ReplyDelete
  76. Hello Wildchild/Ali! I read to fast and I thought I read you were bord with me! Got a bit scared... ;) you know how bad it is to skim posts!

Holliday~ I went back & looked at my followers. You, Linda, Momsby, & Tashapork all don't have photos. I don't know why. You all post with avatars so I don't know why thats the case. But you are #72 and Linda, I beleive you are my even 50! xoxox

    ReplyDelete
  77. CraftyMom, felt the same way at first, we already did the discussion. But there's the new video on PU/DO and some hadn't put in their two cents two threads ago, some thought of new ideas, etc. I'm hoping though (hint, lol) that after this thread closes, that Baby Mama declares it talked out. On last one and this one she invited us to keep discussing it if we wanted. Your positions were excellent as I recall.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Shoot CMo3 - it sent before I was finished. Unless of course, some rag published the "private" court documents and we knew the REAL reason, of course we'd have to discuss it mega again!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  79. Ok I got an idea..lets create one more list for me of things that are all talked out!

    Boobies (perky, wish I had)
    leg touching
    pickup situation (unless it changes)
    $7,000 hair extensions (I wish I had)
Kate wearing heels to Target (she wants to look nice already! no more bashing) or hooker shoes in general lol
Spanking (sore spot of mine) although talking about wooden spoons is funny therefore in!

    ReplyDelete
  80. And I forgot to add that my spelling "sux" today and for that I'm sorry. My phone is horrible. And I need to clariy in my last post that Kate does NOT wear hooker shoes, and that was a "hater" comment. lol said by me, which is NOT ok.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Ok I'll give if the court documents are published. LOL

I just noticed that I am a follower twice. Does that give me extra credit?? LOL

And Baby Mama- I went on last night night and planted more crops but I think they are all dead again. I am a bad farmer. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  82. CMo3 - I don't think there is double credit, lol. But if you delete one, it'll be mor accurate. That's why I round down on count. There's one other as a double, so for now look at number and deduct 2. I did that by accident at Gosselin Garb. I had followed, then it was taken down; when it went back up I followed again. I had to delete one.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Baby Mama - I have no avatar because I changed mine to the roses. I got tired of one that got copied so used a photo of flower I grew. I just never went back and added the new one. Since I changed the screen name blogger had issues. I can delete and start over but it took too long and I'm impatient, remember, lol ?

    ReplyDelete
  84. Baby Mama - I agree with your list, but what about Jon???
Are people still going to criticize him???

Please let's make a list of off limit topics for him too.
All's fair in love and war!
What's good for the Goose, is good for the Gander!
    Need I go on????

    ReplyDelete
  85. But if he does something juvenile, immature, or really "stupid" I think it should be fair game. Just like for Kate. But I don't decide, thank goodness because, I'm sorry Caregiver, he's been "good" for about 3 days and I can just feel something in my bones! I would just really, really, really like to be wrong for Jon's sake, not to mention the kids' sake and I will apologize if wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Linda I know what you mean about getting nervous about Jon when he is quiet usually means he's ip to something. I hope it doesn't coincide with the Emmys. I do wonder though when the kids watch their show during season five and see talk about custody like sharing the home and holidays that does not seem to be happening anymore what do they think.

    ReplyDelete
  87. To me, I think they might be relieved, Tashapork. I'd just like for them to be cordial. I think shared Christmas together was totally unrealistic. Jon has Ellen in his life and will want the kids' to share part of holidays with him and Kate should have the kids for part of the same holidays. May cone to alternating holidays. I could never see Jon excluding "his current live of his life" even to be with the kids; he'd want to build his life differently and so will Kate. Hard. But realistic. J+E+K+?+8 would never work except at graduations and hopefully weddings.

    ReplyDelete
  88. I hope I don't get "swatted" but with all the talk on recent threads about the "paps" I thought the following might be interesting:

    ***question on INF:
Jessica, inquiring minds want to know…is Chris THE ONLY pap trailing Kate and Jon (and supplying photos) these days? We all assume that to be a fact, so if you could confirm or deny, it’d be much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

    Jessica @ INF Daily

^^Most of the time, yes. When the Gosselins are getting more press other agencies cover them for a few days (like during the first week of their separation). And once in a while another guy will randomly show up for an hour. Most of the others are NY-based and aren’t willing to trek to Reading consistently.
    Chris is very devoted***

  89. Hello Everybody,
Just getting up to speed on the comments...you gals have been busy.

Linda, so glad to hear your girlie is on the mend. Sick kids are always a scary thing. I remember you mentioning that you have trouble finding soy icecream. Have you ever tried ricecream? I know my sister & a girlfriend give it to their kids.

Wildchild...I always thought that was a cute s/n. Ali' works too, just glad you let us know it was you.

    GeeWiz...I hear you & agree:)
Lillian Glass...is silly plain & simple! Does'nt the NE, sometimes do those body expert shots sometime? I don't put much stock in any of it. Poor Mrs.Steve, I think I would have to cut off my fingers & tonque not to respond to some of these people.

    ReplyDelete
  90. HeyMomsby welcome back! yeah you missed alot. lol

I was going to have just one post for both the Huffington Post Katy is a stalker" post and combine it with Dr. Lillian Glass knows nothing post..But as you can see they were both equally important to have as separate blog entries. I guess they both have in common that they will use Kate Gosselin to their advantage based solely on the same things we see ourselves in photos, and no proof of anything.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Schmecky: I have a biz associate in Lancaster whose son goes to school with the twins. Imagine how starstruck I was when I found out:) I didn't ask anything though.

Boy feels like I missed a lot here. The transfer at the driveway is surprising though I guess it makes sense. At least it was peaceful--many parents have to transfer in public places which is not such a kid friendly thing. I do think J & K will need separate vans at some point as well.

    ReplyDelete
  92. HeatherAV~ I missed you too..where have you been girl? yeah just when you think nothing is going on in Gosselin world...

Regarding Jon. Well he can't be off limits right now. He needs to prove to us that he has changed and it's clear that he's no where near that yet, but we will see! :)

    ReplyDelete
  93. Briefly, let me say, thanks for emails (you know whom you are). Now, I've awakened this morning and just laughing. The cut and paste from here to there, hither and yon is amazing. I have no idea about the logic of that. What? Expect them to be logical? Beyond comprehension on my part, lol. Have a wonderful day!

    ReplyDelete
  94. Let me explain again. You get swatted here only if: Baby Mama has you on her swat list. How you get there: you say vile things about the G kids ever, anywhere on posts; Baby Mama warns you that you are crossing the line and you don't stop. Baby Mama then swats and sanitizes. I am the temporary help, lol, and can swat. Baby Mama's blog and her rules. In the words of Meredith Vierra of TodayShow slightly paraphrased, "We hope these folks get a life."

    ReplyDelete
  95. Glad to know I'm in the Top 100! I tried to change from avatar to photo but it would probably cause more harm than good. Got a message saying it was too big. (Same picture). Thought about changing the picture, but that would be like changing my identity. I tried to change my email address too. Hope that's not totally wrong now. I don't need any crazies . . .

    ReplyDelete
  96. LoriAnne~ that was an interesting post. The woman said that Chris is very devoted?? Well duh. Devoted to the money. Now if Jon was giving him the heads up he would be the only one getting anything interesting therefore making more money for his company right? It just makes my blood boil when I see his so called "dedication". Of sleeping in a car till Jon gives him the "heads up". lol

    ReplyDelete
  97. Agreed, Baby Mama. Chris has a plumb gig.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Sometimes, especially after the really emotional d/o I don't know how Chris's conscience allows him to sleep at night. Feeding off a familys misery like he has the last year..can't be good for the soul!

    ReplyDelete
  99. I have no idea how to begin to get my avatar onto the followers. Maybe because I followed before my daughter helped me get this one.

    ReplyDelete
  100. sick of ragging - I deleted your post. Baby Mama is out with her kids this morning. Usually, when there are links posted, we try to check them out (we've had some awful overseas garbage posted.) I couldn't get the link to work. I'm sending info on to Baby Mama for her to look at and check. When she does, I will be happy to repost it under my name with the info that I deleted it but credit should go to you. I hope you understand. (Hey, I'm a newbie babysitter and erred on the side of caution. So if a problem, just blame me.) ;)

    ReplyDelete
  101. No problem. I think you will appreciate this site, because I have seen what they do to you in particular at that site. It is safe...
No problem Linda, we have just had enough.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Thank you for understanding, sick of ragging.

I know well about the hate site that you mentioned. I wish they could be stopped. I've been there maybe (3? times). Occasionally I get emails about something they've said about me, and I just let the legal techie guy go there and let me know. I have enough drama in my life without reading their junk so I just choose not to do it. (It's hard enough reading their posts here until you can hit the delete button. :)

    ReplyDelete
  103. I KNEW it was too good to be true. How utterly juvenile and how embarrassing for his children later! Right in the middle of the photos of Kate and the Twins, that INF daily site has the photos of Jon flipping the bird to the world. Grow up Jon. Please grow up for the sake of your children! If you want a job in tv again (or anywhere else) you're going to have to prove that you aren't a loose cannon, you are somewhat responsible, and that you can control yourself.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Linda - The link worked for me and it is HILARIOUS! It's about time someone started a blog to give those idiots back what they have been dishing out.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Okay, I got link to work by going to the main page and then going to the thread noted. It was funny, in that the blogger is giving back exactly what those people have been doing for a long time to anybody who is even remotely pro-Kate. So not my call, I'm sure Baby Mama will read it when she gets home. As I said, I'm just the babysitter, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Linda-I saw the pictures you were talking about. In reality your point is very true. But to be petty, I imagine it feels really good for him to show that paparazzi exactly what he thinks, kind of like Kate doing the Paparazzi Dance on DWTS.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Don't be fooled by Jon doing the finger. It certainly reveals his teenage mentality and crudeness...but it was surely staged to support the idea that he dislikes the paps. He has been getting a lot of flake for his staged pick up and delivery of the kids with the same pap always there "on time" to take the pics. Jon is trying to clean that up by tweeting that he wants his kids time private and now this rude, vulgar gesture. Way to go Jon...another fine example for your kids!

    ReplyDelete
  108. Now I'm curious about this link you are all talking about.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Ali, it's a link to a site that has parodied a hater blog parroting what they say right back to them in the same language. (This isn't GWoP) but about 10 rungs lower on the food chain. This hate site doesn't like anybody: Jon, Kate, anybody proKate, anybody proJon, the Kids on any given day. Their goal is to make life unpleasant for anybody but themselves. My position on free speech is that it is a right people died for - alas, they do not understand our constitution and that free speech is mostly about freedom from government retaliation against remarks made against the government. (Guess they missed civics classes.) It doesn't mean you can call anybody a 'ho, Porno queen, etc UNLESS you've got proof. And their idea of proof seems to mostly be "cause we said it was." They are IMO a sad little group of misfits perhaps. I still, by the way, pray daily for one of them bit will confess that the rest of my family refuses.

    ReplyDelete
  110. The parody site uses the exact words the haters have used but turns it against them. I've been told the haters felt it was unfair to them. Does this remind you of the bullies from high school in their attitude of "we can do anything we want but you can't do it to us." Karma can bite you in the heinie and I suspect they don't even grasp the fact that they are being parodied.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Good afternoon guys! I will have a new post up soon, so hang tight..Its a crazy day for me..

Sick of Ragging~ I appreciate your link, but I do not post links of hates sites or sites ragging on hate sites. I have been through so many of them, I just laugh and walk over them. I was here before them and I will be here after they are gone.

If you watch any of the Real Housewives Shows, Kandi from Atlanta has a song that says it best...

"I fly Above All The Haters" lol

    ReplyDelete
  112. Wow Linda, that's crazy. Fascinating, all of that hate about the Gosselins. I will never understand, never. There are so many famous people I don't care for, but I just plain ignore them.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Good evening everyone! Baby Mama is finally back with some yummy fresh paper. Tonights relaxing scent is of Coconut Body Oil. I am craving the FL something horible, so in honor of my dreams of lounging poolside, come follow me on to the new post! xoxox
