Available for preorders now and in stores September, Love Is in the Mix: Making Meals Into Memories with 108+ Family-Friendly Recipes, Tips and Traditions (HCI Books – $22.95- ISBN: 9780757317644), by Kate Gosselin shares the much-requested family’s favorite recipes for every day and entertaining.
As the well-known mom of eight growing—and hungry—kids, Kate Gosselin knows her way around the kitchen, bestowing her passion for cooking onto her brood of budding chefs. Available for preorders now and available in stores in September, in Love Is in the Mix: Making Meals Into Memories with 108+ Family-Friendly Recipes, Tips and Traditions (HCI Books – September 2013 -- $22.95- ISBN: 9780757317644), Kate shares the Gosselin family’s favorite recipes for every day and entertaining, the most important ingredient when creating special family time.
Happy to announce her book the week of her birthday (on March 28), Gosselin says, “As far back as I can remember, my grandma would invite me and my sisters to bake in her kitchen, allowing each of us to choose our cookie project. She would set us up at our own stations throughout the kitchen and invite the chaos to begin. In this book, I impart to you all that I have learned, invented, and stumbled upon. My hope is that my children learn from me the joy and satisfaction that creating in the kitchen brings. No matter the outcome, I have learned from Grandma that nothing that comes from the kitchen is a mistake when you add love to the mix!”
Created in response to overwhelming requests, Gosselin’s cookbook, with its stunning four-color photos and amusing anecdotes of holidays and traditions, offers a repertoire of recipes for any home chef, from crowd-pleasing appetizers to decadent desserts, from lazy weekend breakfasts to speedy weeknight suppers, plus company-worthy dishes you can serve without a hassle—or leftovers.
This mom-of-eight also has surprises in store during the months before her book is published. “I plan on making some recipes available that are not in the book and also share some traditions and tips along the way. So watch my Twitter @Kateplusmy8 and my websitehttp://www.kateplusmy8.com for these.”

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATE! Kate Gosselin's Style Evolution: Spiky Hair & Mom Jeans To Sleek Dresses & Self Tanner
"My kids are the reason I have always done everything." That is a statement that Kate Gosselin has lived by every day since giving birth to sextuplets back in 2004. The mother of eight, who got her own reality series "Jon & Kate Plus 8" after the birth of her children, quickly skyrocketed to fame and found herself, along with her family, on the cover of every major tabloid in America.
Following a messy divorce and the cancellation of her TLC show, Kate's life turned upside down, and so did her style. Gosselin, a former devotee to mom jeans, turned to slinky dresses and stilettos (otherwise known as a fashion 180).
Her hair has also been a major topic of conversation. "The Gosselin" didn't exactly inspire women like "The Rachel," but countless memes and articles have been dedicated to the short and spiky 'do.
In celebration of her 38th birthday (on Mar. 28), we are taking a look back at Kate's dramatic style evolution. Gosselin may not be known as a trendsetter, but her shift from cardigans to cleavage-baring tops is something worth noting.
It's about damn time this book gets published!
ReplyDeleteI have no children and don't really like to cook, but I might buy this one anyway. I think they might just be easy to do. Always looking for something different to make for a family gathering.
ReplyDeleteI hope everyone is doing well. I'm excited to hear about Kate's book. After looking through the recipes, I think I might purchase the book. I hope it does well. Great post Baby Mama!
ReplyDeleteGood Saturday to everyone! Life sure has gotten a bit more complicated...after a neighbor's lil dog that typically walked w/Jack (Lab retriever) passed away...we made the decision to adopt a puppy! Geez...what was I thinking! LOL
ReplyDeleteIt's potty training vigils all over again! I had 1st night duty...our kids are getting the weekend call now! She's already getting much better...her name is Katie...so you know she is smart!
Can't tell you all how HAPPY I am for Kate that she has finally gotten this cookbook put together! She's so mature now...she's a seasoned business gal and I'm hoping this turns out really successful for her.
I look at it this way...purchase her book...get a ton of healthy/delicious recipes/pictures and support Kate as a stay at home mom at the same time! I'm still stunned that the ex provides no CS for his kids. No financial help to Kate whatsoever...its all on her! So more than just saying we support her...we need to step up...purchase her book...purchase the book as gifts for others and otherwise promote this endeavor for her!
Celebrity Wife Swap was a HUGE success and underscored the fact that Kate still brings the ratings in! Lordy...some network needs to get going with a show for her!
So I know we are all busy busy with life...clearly BabyMama...you are a non-stop working machine and mother as well! Keep us posted...always send us links on twitter so we know you have your latest Kate's perspective here!
Blessings to LindaO...hope your health issues have gotten better!
seems like several openings are coming up on the View, too bad Kate can't take one of their places. She'd be a lot of fun. What excites me about her cookbook is that she feeds her kids healthy foods and I am into healthy foods these days so I will take a look at it. I still make her hummus recipe, although I have to break it down to a smaller batch so I don't pig out to keep from having to throw it out.
ReplyDeleteLinda~ As always I miss you and hope that you are feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteI hears all of this Twitter stuff and didn't know if I should put up a new post or discuss it here. I guess its just easier to cut this one short and start a new post. Share your thoughts over there fresh early paper! xo
