Kate Gosselin sightings At Mount Rushmore, tells haters "meet me before you judge"

Kate Gosselin promises fun episodes next month: Gather.com

Kate Gosselin is promising fun upcoming episodes of her popular show, Kate Plus 8. The reality based program will resume airing on August 8, and fans are so excited for more fun with the family. "August 8 at 10PM [on] TLC. Back with exciting and different fun episodes, I promise," Kate wrote to a fan on Twitter. This tweet has people wondering what types of things the Gosselin's have been doing, and people simply can't wait for the new episodes to air.

While many people have different opinions on Kate and the show, it is fun to watch her eight (not so) little ones grow up. They do all different types of activities and it's really cool to see them learn new things. Fans of the show have gotten used to having this family in their living rooms, and to hear Kate talk about new episodes that are going to be "exciting, different, and fun," well August 8 can't come soon enough!

Kate Plus Eight sighting: RapidCityJournal.com

I’m back from my trip to Chicago, and on the flight yesterday from O’Hare to Rapid there were some folks I didn’t expect to see: Kate Gosselin and what looked like all eight of her Eight. There didn’t seem to be any cameras or staff traveling with them. I’m not sure where they were going or why… has anyone spotted them in the Hills today?

AJ Says:
They went to Mt Rushmore, I was working the desk when they came by. Too bad the mountain was fogged in most the day.;)

TK Says:
They (or Kate at least) visited our local Target for some Starbucks.

Kate Gosselin Challenges Haters To Meet Her Before Judging: HuffPostCelebrity.com

Don't think for one second that Kate Gosselin doesn't know about her satirized status as a money hungry mom. But get a load of this, she doesn't care! "The biggest misconception is that I'm a money hungry b*tch," Gosselin tells me. "My friends come and tell me. They can't take it." But friends, family and other folks get much more upset about the negative rumors than Gosselin does.

"I have to tell them just ignore it, don't read it," Gosselin tells me. "You know it's not true. I am very driven, very type-A, very hard-working, very perfectionist. Every single person with that personality is accused of being self-absorbed, snobby and horrible. A bad impression is given because you are so driven. My mind is on the finish line. It's an attractive quality as far as men are concerned. Now women trying to act like that ... men get put off by that and offended."

Keeping in check with her self-proclaimed type-A personality Gosselin has issued a challenge. Anyone that doesn't know her but thinks she is a "money hungry b*tch" should meet her and then see what they think."I really have to tell you I enjoy the challenge of meeting people personally and changing their opinion of me," she tells me. "Because it happens 100 percent of the time."

  1. Thanks for the new post, BabyMama. Love the fresh scent of apple pie.

It's amazing how much there is to see in South Dakota. We barely scratched the surface but saw as much as we could in a week. Mt. Rushmore is so incredible to see. We also went to the Badlands, Iron Mountain Hwy, Needles Hwy,
Custer State Park, the Mammoth site, Jewel Cave, Rushmore Cave, and drove through Spearfish Canyon on our way to Devil's Tower in Wyoming. The second time we went out there, we rode motorcycle and got to meet so many nice people with having to stop more often for gas.
We stayed at Wild Bill's Campground close to Deadwood. The buffalo herd at Custer State Park is wonderful to see. I can hardly wait to go back there. We also got some wonderful pictures.

I hope I get to travel and see all that someday.

  3. tiggerfan1965--I hope you get to South Dakota too! It's easy traveling around there--the only really busy area was at Mt. Rushmore. We always go after Labor Day--it's a little cooler out (expept at the Badlands) and fewer people travel then and the stores have much reduced prices if you like souvenirs etc. Custer County Candy Company (in Custer) has some awesome candy and a nice gift shop.

  4. The one thing to be aware of however is that at least when I was there, the areas near Mount Rushmore were expensive and not so great as far as the eats were concerned. I didn't see any fast food places or chain restaurants really even in Custer, a lot of people camp out though and could bring their own food. If you eat out, just be prepared for a high food budget or a drive into Rapid City, every thing else was pretty reasonable though.

  5. Good evening everyone! How was everyones Sunday? Ugh I know the thought of going back to work after such a nice relaxing day is hard. But I'm ready & even a little excited to start the new week!

Ok so you know it's bad when haters make fun of supporters & call them "stalkers" right? Well then why are the haters get do invested in where Kate is and what she's doing. Why obsess on every article written about her? A patron at popular Granny's restaurant in Cody, Wyoming, said they saw her eating..
Continuing their Wyoming working vacation, Kate says she and the kids (and crew) were in Jackson Hole today.

And other vacationers continue to spot them. One mom reported a sighting in the famous town square in Jackson. So we know that anything other than camping in cold conditions is the only non-fun thing they can do. Im really excited to see this episode!

  6. Interesting -

Corrina & Tashapork - Thanks for the update on info for the Mt. Rushmore and Yellowstone area. This is an episode I will be looking forward to seeing.

Our family was under the weather yesterday and kids opted to remain close to home rather than a day trip. Three of us spent the day in bed hardly moving and DH took care of everybody else. Kids are more resilient than mom ... one of them woke me at 4:30 this morning to ask which outfit should be worn for start of Tennis Camp today (camp didn't start until 9:30 am!) We opted to share a drink (coffee for me and hot choc for child) and enjoy the deck watching sun come up. (At least that way, everybody else could sleep until at least 7 am.) There is something special about sharing one-on-one opportunities with kids.

    Have a great day all.

I wonder if we could all suggest more places for the G's to visit? The travel and tourism industry has sure taken a hit with the economy!

  7. I'd like them to go to Mall of America, there's tons of stuff for kids there, a Disney Cruise would be awesome, the Grand Canyon has a lot of fun to do. I agree that the travel industry needs the business, we can't afford a trip this year.

  8. Good morning everyone! Wanted to share the link of the excited Park Ranger that was one of the first to report her Kate sighting....

Arriving at Old Faithful on Friday, I had my Park Ranger uniform in my travel bag because I had been invited to assist with a film permit. America's First National Park regularly receives film permit requests for all sorts of reasons but this time it was for a reality TV show called Kate plus Eight. I was excited to be one of the rangers assisting with this film permit and even more excited that my family would get to see "Ranger Sabrina in Action!"
Old Faithful was predicted to erupted at 6:31pm, +/- 10 minutes and I was scheduled to sit next to the reality TV show family and share with them a little about Old Faithful. Teaching park visitors about Yellowstone is such a rewarding experience whether the visitors are your family or a reality TV show family! As we waited for Old Faithful to erupt  I taught them about the Yellowstone Super volcano and how a  geyser like Old Faithful works. Soon Old Faithful was erupting and simultaneously my family, Kate plus eight, and hundreds of other families watched as the iconic geyser blew- all of us in awe of the wonders of nature and the powerful force of the Yellowstone super volcano.  Watching Old Faithful erupt immediately brings about all sorts of questions to the spectators mind. Happily, I answered a variety of questions about Old Faithful, and soon the reality TV show family smiled and politely thanked me for sharing my knowledge, before they headed off on their next adventure. As I returned to my family, my nephew proudly proclaimed : "Aunt Sabrina, I want to be a ranger like you and teach people about the park". It was the perfect ending to a fabulous day!

  9. I am sooooo ready for next Kate+8 episode and sooooo tired of the other stuff on TLC like the millionth rerun of Cake Boss!

    ReplyDelete
  10. BabyMama - It is mind boggling the haters spend most of their lives stalking and complaining about Kate, a women they do not like. Very strange behaviour.

LindaOriginal - I agree they are running Cake Boss into the ground. They seem to do this to all their shows. Don't understand their thinking. Kate + 8 ratings were about the same and their show was not on every week!

I always wanted to see Mr. Rushmore and Old Faithful so I'm looking forward to that episode.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Amen to the being tired of the millionth rerun of Cake Boss, add to it the wedding shows and Toddlers and Tiarras.
Did anyone else see that Sarah Palin's movie totally tanked, maybe a little Karma there although releasing it the same time as Harry Potter would be kind of dumb. I'd love to see Kate and the kids act in a movie.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Yes--Cake Boss is getting old. If I've seen it once, I've seen it enough. Maybe it would be good to ask TLC why they aren't rerunning any Kate +8 episodes. Now those I can watch more than once. :)

  13. Baby Mama and others with iPads -

I'm probably the last to know this but ... Did you know that Time Warner Cable subscribers can download an app for their iPads and iPhones that let's you watch any of the tv programs from your iPad? I didn't know that until yesterday! If you have DVDR you can also turn it on from your iPad.

Gosh, now if I'm stuck in another hotel room that doesn't have TLC, I can connect via WiFi and watch Kate+8 on my iPad!

I found out this from my kids who asked if they could download the app. (That answer was no since we don't allow them to have tvs in their bedrooms, I didn't want them up late at night watching tv on their iPads secretly from their rooms.) It only works with a WiFi connection but this is wonderful for adult watchers.!

  14. Linda, I wish Directtv would have that ap, no ipad yet for me, but some day you never know. I confess that I am bad, I listen to youtube videos/netflix on my phone sometimes at night when trying to go to sleep.

  15. Sounds like Kate & kids are seeing some beautiful sites. The Rangers story sounded awesome.
I would be so burnt out by now but it sounds like Kate is being a troupper.

  16. Linda,

Don't get too excited too soon - unless something has changes radically - that TW app for the iPad and iPhone is only good for any room in your HOUSE - not gonna work in a hotel. Also, for some reason not all of the broadcasters liked this so not all channels are avialable that are availabe on your television but TW is constantly adding as negotiations continue.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Sophia - Oh???Ugh.
I did use it at a hotel today about 40 miles from my home; however, the hotel also had WiFi and Time Warner. I just logged on with my TW password and it worked. Gosh, I'm hoping it wasn't a fluke that it worked there, lol. I have a ton of road trips for work booked for the fall and so many of the hotel's' systems don't carry TLC. I don't like having to wait for the DVR version at home. Oh well, I can hope, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Linda, the one good thing if you are in a hotel without TLC is that of late it seems that TLC of late has so few good shows on. LOL I do hope your app works especially with as high as cable bills are, its sad that we can't use it when not at home.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Wow! Not sure how you did that LOL. Currently you CAN access your remote DVR (so you DVR TLC at home then access the program later from your hotel room on your iPad, but live programming isn't available - see below).

This from the Time Warner website, current as of today:

    Question:
Will the TWCable TV iPad app work with a TWC Mobile Internet Hot Spot?
    Answer:

Yes and No. Live (i.e., currently airing) programming can only be accessed inside your home. However, features such as Remote DVR Manager and the Interactive Program Guide can be accessed outside of your home as long as the iPad is connected to a WiFi or cellular network.

and (also applying to the iPad app):

(just substitute hotel for "another TWC customer's home)

    Question:
Can I use my TWCable TV iPad app inside another TWC customer’s home, who also has HSD and Video services?
    Answer:
Yes and No. Live (i.e., currently airing) programming can only be accessed inside your home. However, features such as Remote DVR Manager and the Interactive Program Guide can be accessed outside of your home as long as the iPad is connected to a WiFi or cellular network.

Still a nifty app. My DH gets up at 4:30 am - always has - even though he works from the house - and hence often goes to bed earlier than I. This app lets me watch my PBS programs on with iPad with earphones. Disturbs him far less...and the dog seems less annoyed too :) Then there's that not missing a vital part of a program when, uh, "nature calls" and your bathroom won't have a television until the remodel next year... :) J/K

Enjoy your road trips, even if they are for work!

  21. Hello everyone! Big hug to all my ladies and a laugh to all the trolls that appear to have been hanging out today.. thank you for my hits being up up up. It must be hard to press your faces against the hot glass and not be able to get into the cool AC! lol

Yes I'm still having issues never being able to use my IPad outside of my home. Because while its great to watch TV from your Ipad you might as well just watch your TV..LOL

Speaking for the trolls..For those of you that keep up with those crazies. Rebecca or BL whatever they all her from that 15min. blog blocked kelly aka "underwalt" that crazy idiot on Twitter. He/she is 24 hrs. on that thing with a few others. He/she now went completely to the bottom of the barrel and posts on Lisa's trash site with the rest of the fishes. As low as it gets.

So there you go. When your rejected from every site, those type of places are basically where you go before you hang up your name and become a sock with a funny new name! ;)

  23. It's a scorcher of a day here. My kids are off to CaroWinds (an amusement and water park in Charlotte) with friends and their church youth groups. I wish somebody would invent a 24 hour sunscreen. Despite cautions to "re-apply every 1/2 hour," I'm pretty sure they won't remember. I have one child, like me, with very fair skin that just doesn't tan; I'm always worried about him getting fried.

While they are great kids, they are too immature to have cell phones (1. They'd never remember where they left them, 2. They'd exceed their limits, etc.) Of course, their never-ending debate this morning was, "If you let us have cell phones you could call us all day to remind us about sunscreen." Yeah, right...(Not!) Somehow I just think they'd be a wee bit too busy at an amusement/water park to answer a call from mom, lol, and besides, nobody carries a cell phone into the water!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Linda, I agree with you about water and phones not mixing, had a niece drop hers in the toilet I don't know how. As they are getting into this transitional phase where sometimes they might benefit from the use of a cell but aren't ready for one and aren't quite ready for a big responsibility, you might consider getting an inexpensive Net 10 or tracphone. They may run about $30 including the card, but it is YOUR phone and you loan it to them on an as needed basis. It isn't a terrible loss if something happens to it and you can make it clear that their responsibility while using it, will affect your decision later on when they are older to get them their own. Added benefit is that they don't have it all the time making calls and texting. Its what worked for me.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Linda, I have the perfect idea for your kids that must reapply every 30 min. A tshirt that says, remind me to reapply my sunscreen. lol

    ReplyDelete
  26. Sophia - I spent hours today with tech support for TW for a client. When we finished, I asked about the app and if it worked outside your home and in a remote location. He said, some areas yes and some no, and to try it and see. Perhaps it worked yesterday because although I was 40 miles from home, it was in the same county. You know, I can see it helping to view on iPad even at home if DH can watch sports on iPad while the rest of us watch Disney or Nick; we can be in same room and everybody gets what they want.

  29. Stopping to say hey. We finally are back to normal here. Got internet back after a whole week of not having it. We had 75 mph winds that decimated this whole section of IL last week. I was at Girl Scout camp last Monday with 150 girl scouts with no running water & toilets. FUN FUN. LOL Trying to settle in but we are at 110 degrees right now with the heat index. Not very productive weather! Just makes you feel sluggish. Glad to see Kate is coming back the 8th.

And Tashapork keep reminding me to rest. Some day I will actually do it. Thanks for caring so much about me that you remind me!!! xoxoxo

  30. Linda,

    Yep it's got it's uses.

Hours on the phone with TW tech support, honey I don't envy you at ALL! Hope you got your client squared away!

But typical of TWC - yes and no, works some place not others, this cable box but not that, this remote but not that, this wifi router not that... makes a person's head spin! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  31. Hello to everyone we have missed! So happy to see you all! Happy the astronauts are tweeting, gives them something to do! Lol

One thing those trolls have going for them is they NEVER run out of things to talk about regarding Kate Gosselin. It's mind boggling. Hours and hours worth of daily comments and days upon days of Twitter drivel. It's truly enough to give me a headache ;)

Today's topic discusses Kate Gosselin still not having a producer credit on her show. This one was an interesting topic because most reality tv stars like Kris Jenner, and Kathy griffin do. Why do you think Kate never pushed for this in contract negotiations? Do you think in 2012 she will? And what about her next show? Do you think she would want the creative control? Or do you think she is ok with the way TLC edits her?

    ReplyDelete
  32. Linda, Walmart or Walmart.com, Amazon or sometimes Big lots have good deals and no contract or monthly bill, just buy a new card or add mintues online when you need to, If something happens to the phone and you get a new one you can call and roll over the minutes left to the new phone.
Craftymom, I know resting is easier said than done, but a mom who takes care of herself is a better mom.
I personally think maybe Kate has enough on her plate and doesn't need another responsibility. She probably feels that TLC gives her enough decision making power and that's not an issue she's wanted to pursue. Maybe she never realized it was an option. Economy being what it is, it may not be the best time to make too many demands unfortunately.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Linda, thanks for the reminder about the final landing of Atlantis. I would have forgotten to watch!

Latest news from Examiner and others is that Jon and Ellen do plan to marry. If so, I wish them well. Everybody deserves to be with the person of their choice.

Personally, I thought it was a zinger toward Jon when the Examiner started with "So much for never doing another interview..." I wonder why they couldn't have just said, "Jon does have plans to marry Ellen."

Again, I wish them both (Jon and Ellen) well. Just as I'm hopeful that Kate will one day find the man of her dreams. :)
