Any attacks on Kate regarding her appearance today or in the future will be removed. I thank everyone on this site for their continued support of not only Kate but my decision on continuing to keep this as pro-Kate as we can and for the future less debate. It only seems to upset those true fans that post here. oxoxoxo
Kate Gosselin: My Kids Hate Spending Time at Jon's Place: UsWeekly.com
A new war of words has begun between Jon and Kate Gosselin. During a Friday appearance on Live with Regis and Kelly, Kate, 35, told Kelly Ripa and guest host Anderson Cooper that tensions remain between her and her ex-husband, 32. "It's...you know," she said. "I do try to keep it as peaceful as possible." The level of tension "depends on the day." The biggest issue, Kate claimed, is the time their eight kids spend at their dad's nearby apartment. During those visits, Kate said, "I basically wait for the phone call from how many of them want to come home." Jon's residence, she explained, "is not [their] home; it doesn't feel like home to them ... they want to be at home -- in their house" in Wernersville, Penn. She pointed out that the latest visitation schedule (part of their custody arrangement) is still "new to us. It's only been three months that he's actually been spending time with them and taking them." Jon Gosselin caught his ex-wife's TV appearance and lashed out via Twitter: "As much as I want to respond to numerous LIES recently claimed on Regis and Kelly, I will refrain. I have learned from the past that it’s a waste of my time and energy. I am 'rising above', and refuse to engage in any sort of public argument that could potentially harm or upset my children. My children and the people in my life know the truth, and that is what's important."
Baby Mama,
ReplyDeleteHi! Hope you had a blast in Disney! I'm sure you did.
So are those comments towards me? Do you not want me posting here? I think I'm the only one online today that was against what Kate said on Regis and Kelly.
As for Anderson Cooper egging her on, I think he was trying to clarify. He's an investigative reporter. It's what he does.
Hello everyone! Thank you so much for shifting over here to post. I had no idea that there was such a heated debate going on. I hope that we can continue to be respectful and continue our thoughts on this thread. And as always, my thoughts are my own and my opinion only. No one has to agree with it ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat post Baby Mama. I am glad she spoke up for herself.
ReplyDeleteSchmecky we must have been posting at the same time. I know Anderson does his interviews a certain way, but you heard his comments, they were all about trying to get Kate to go "there" regarding starting a war with Jon. It's just my opinion, and hearing his questions made me not only uncomfortable, but actually scared for Kate to hear what the next one would be.
ReplyDeleteThe post is meant to clarify to everyone where I stand and how we want things to go moving forward. No one including you would want to feel things are getting too heated. In the end, this is a Kate fan site.
No problem Baby Mama! I never get heated. I can't speak for anyone else though. I don't take any of this personally.
ReplyDeleteYou rock Baby Mama! And I will always support any decisions you make on your blog!
Personally, I think we all "hear" what we want to hear. We may all hear the same words but the intent and the tone differs if you are a Kate fan or a Jon fan. The Kate detractors will never be happy no matter what she says or does.
ReplyDeleteOkay, fresh paper, my comment got lost between old/fresh paper! VERY glad you are back, Baby Mama! I read somewhere today, that because you are considered a super-fan, that the first "twist of kate" will be filmed with you at your house! If true, then it will be even better than Disneyland!!
ReplyDeleteI agree that fans need tpo post here. When I click on the hate sites and see the very cruel and hateful comments made toward kate and than come here and see that the person that made them is on here acting in a much different manner it leaves a very bad taste in my mouth. I am glad that Kate finally stopped covering Jon's ass,she should have done it a long time ago.
ReplyDeleteCould someone find out for me who's sunglasses Kate was wearing on the double decker bus in the New York episode? Hope was asking me and I love them too! Where Gosselin Garb when I need it..sigh
ReplyDeleteJohnnie Cade,
ReplyDeleteGood point.
If you just google Gosselin today you will see that every single media site reporting on the interview today is posting it as a negative interview.
And well.. I know thats its important for fans of the show to have a place of their own. They can go anywhere else and I have had to delete a few since they feel its more fun to come here and stir the pot. But I also want those that want to have a logical debate to feel that they can do so here without being attacked. I try to please everyone and wind up upsetting people and I don't want to do that. But you need to contact me directly if your not happy with something. I don't want that to fall on Linda. You can talk to me about anything....I need to know if someone is upset about the direction or the tone of where the blog is headed that day.
ReplyDeleteFANS HELLOOOOO! There are almost 600 of you. The more that post, the less inclined those that want to cause trouble will want to do so here! ;)
Baby Mama are these the sunglasses?
ReplyDeletehttp://www.celebrity-sunglasses-finder.com/Kate-Gosselin-Sunglasses.html
Schmecky, thats just the haters. The fans need to speak up and tell everyone to go sctratch. The interview wasn't great because Anderson looked to sway it that way. IMO.
ReplyDeleteSG - Why are you so angry? Anyone who posts as many anti-Kate posts as you do has an issue - just like the haters. Not to mention a lot of spare time. Reminds me of Just Wondering, who seems to be gone. Thank heaven - or Baby Mama. Perhaps you should start your own pro-Jon blog and give the rest of us a rest. I used to have respect for Jon but no longer. I hope he grows up someday but for now I don't think we really need a Jon cheerleader on this site. Especially if you constantly need to put down Kate to make Jon look good.
ReplyDeleteSchmecky holy freakin smoke where did you find that site?? Its so awesome! thanks! I gotta see if the ones from The Big Apple episode are on here! soo great. who knew???
ReplyDeleteAngry? Me? I'm not angry at all. Maybe it reads that way but I'm not at all angry. Not one bit.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the videos! :) I didn't think she was bashing Jon...I guess yeah she alluded to things, but I probably wouldn't have picked up on them too much if they hadn't been pointed out by haters...lol But seriously, she handles it all a LOT better than I ever would've! omg, if I was her, I know my mouth would've gotten the best of me a loooonnngggg time ago, and America would probably know more than they wished they did! It takes a LOT of willpower to hold back when you feel strongly one way or another, esp. when people are trying to get it out of you.
ReplyDeleteJohnnie Cade & Mimi -ITA. Thank you both for speaking up.
ReplyDelete------
Momsby - Forgot to thank you in last post, much appreciated!
------
annastasia - If any filming takes place at Baby Mama's, I have first "dibbs" on watching rights, Steve or no Steve!
------
Here is what I heard, between the lines...
Kate saying in response to "are things as contentious with Jon..." well... Then Anderson Cooper saying"I take that as a yes." Kate replying "it depends on the day."
When asked what she does when they kids are away, "wait to see how many want to come home." She also said, "it's a new arrangement...3 months...Jonis their dad, they are confused."
To me this was not saying they "didn't want to be with Jon" but more of "they want to sleep in their own beds." IMO, Jon has a tiny apartment inadequate for 8 kids. Going there doesn't feel like home yet. It's new to them, there are no beds, and can't feel very welcoming. It should get easier as time goes on, Jon gets a bigger place, etc. (I'm ignoring that when "flush" with $$ in NY, he opted for bachelor pad rather than place for his kids.)
Jon has no job. He can't get a bigger place yet, and unless Ellen has a phenomenal income, there probably isn't money for bigger. I'm sure they love their dad, have a good time playing with him, etc. But at the end of the day, I can't imagine the bathroom lines much less the competition for floor space.
Baby Mama... LOL at That's just the haters.
ReplyDeleteActually it's just the media and entertainment sites like msnbc.com, etc. I'm just trying to show that I'm not the only one that took her comments negatively just because I don't care for her.
http://news.google.com/news/story?pz=1&cf=all&ned=us&hl=en&q=gosselin&ncl=dqd35yjn2qTrA2M7TpiZ4UBZx5tQM
Thank you folks for speaking up!!! The more you speak up, the better the chance of being heard.
ReplyDeletePlease let Baby Mama know where you stand. Either post or send an email, to her not me! It is her blog and I was but a very temporary babysitter.
I too have a very difficult time with people posting venom elsewhere and then coming here.
Baby Mama, I think you need me around here more... I seem to make your lurkers and fans come out of the woodwork. You have posters I don't recall seeing before commenting today!
ReplyDeleteMaybe they should support you and your site and Kate herself more by commenting on your fansite about Kate instead of about what they don't like about your site.
Imagine if all 600 commented. The "haters" would be drowned out. ;)
Linda,
ReplyDeleteI would be interested to know what "venom" you are referring to.
I think Baby Mama wants a respectful blog here and I have been very respectful here. I really don't think Baby Mama intends to control everyone's "tone" when they post elsewhere.
Why are people going to "hater" sites anyway? Why would you read there? People ask me why I watch Kate Plus 8 when I don't like Kate. I answered. I'd like to know why people read hate sites that they hate so much.
Well I had a free day today but I won't for a while...
ReplyDeleteBaby Mama it's good to have you back! Enjoy your weekend everyone!!!
Sorry, SG, but I do find your posts annoying. Anyone who posts on the hate sites condones them and what they stand for. Then to come here and act nicey nicey . . . It just grates.
ReplyDeleteI've noticed that more people comment about anything when it's negative. Be it customer service, etc; not just Gosselin news. When people are happy with a situation they don't always speak up. Which is why more Kate detractors comment than supporters. IMO.
I first started reading the hate sites for pure entertainment. I thought it was outrageous the non consequential things they would pick apart. It was hilarious, at times. Then it got dark and hateful. Now I rarely read there. It's not funny anymore. And it's insane. The amount of speculation that goes on makes my eyes cross. It really does get ridiculous. And they lose all credibility so I don't think they are hurting her prospects. Who could take them seriously?
ReplyDeleteSG - You are not alone here. I didn't like the way she answered Qs about waiting for the phone to ring to see who wants to come home. She should be acting more supportive in getting them used to the fact that they go with their Dad. As far as I'm concerned that was one thing that kids don't get a choice about. If they can call whining to come home and Jon lets them go back, then they will never accept the back and forth schedule.
ReplyDeleteAm I making sense here?
Kate’s interview reminds me of the Scientology debate. Interviewers push Tom Cruise or John Travolta to discuss Scientology. They both turn down the questions but the interviewers are relentless. Finally, they respond very scarcely and the media spins it out of control. First they didn’t want to talk about it. Second, when they finally do, people pick it apart, read between the lines, and make assumptions. Take it for what it is.
ReplyDeleteKate said it is contentious depending on the day. Kate said she solely provides for the kids. Both statements are true. Some people say that this is negative and bashing Jon. Some say that they would have said a heck of a lot worse if they were Kate. As the sole care provider she is the sole provider. If it were me, I would have said the same thing. I wouldn’t be worried about people picking apart what I say because they have no idea what I was dealing with.
To me, when Jon said that he never loved Kate as much as he loved Hailey, that was the most hurtful thing he could have said. What it tells his children is that they can be replaced, that love can change without our volition, and that someone we once loved with all our hearts means nothing. I know many people will jump on this last statement as untrue; however, this is a typical response from children of divorced parents. Jon saying that, validates their negative thoughts. I think Kate’s statements have not emotionally scarred the children as much as Jon’s have. In addition, she said that at the end of the day Jon is still their father.
Welcome back Baby Mama and thank you for your post. I appreciate seeing this is still a pro-Kate site.
ReplyDeleteLindaO - ITA with all you said.
Jon not only bashed Kate but spoke negatively about the kids in the Schmuley interview. He said he’s trying to bring a sense of normalcy back into their life but it’s difficult. He’s hoping that “being around good people such as my girlfriend and myself and people that love them, they can see a sense of normalcy in their life.” IMO, he is saying Kate is not a good person and does not love her kids.
When Schmuley asks if the kis are affected by TV Jon says they act out more. He has seen personality changes. He sees some problems with the kids because he can't take the kids anywhere without being photographed. He says he tried to isolate them but it never worked because he’s trying to live a normal life and they go to their mother and they are filming a TV life. “They revert back.”
He says the marriage would not have lasted even without the show because Kate has a type A personality and always has to be right.
Schmuley asked if Kate had someone to talk to about the fame and money and he replied I don't think so but I have family and friends that love and support me. IMO, again implying no one loves or supports Kate.
Schmuley asked if Kate was carried away with the TV thing and Jon says it's not his business but it seems excessive and he worrys about time with the kids.
So you see once again Jon said way more negative about Kate!
#CG said - She should be acting more supportive in getting them used to the fact that they go with their Dad.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you #CG; however, she said that she waits for the phone call for how many of them want to come home. She did not say that the kids call, she did not say that Jon calls. We don’t know who calls and we don’t know who is supporting or not supporting them in staying with Jon. Jon could be calling to say come and get so-and-so they want to go home. I know my husband would be. LOL
My take on the interview:
ReplyDelete1) Jon has made the argument in several outlets lately that he again wants the kids off TV - he has done this through LaFair and Schmuley. I do not know if he is sincere or if this is a negotiation ploy with TLC as the current contract is soon ending. Jon regained lots of support when he pulled the kids off the show; he is trying to recapture that support.
I believe Kate saying she is the sole provider is both true and an answer to the criticism about having the kids on reality TV. There was a new agreement after DWTS and I expect child support was waived because of the huge disparity in Jon's and Kate's income. Ultimately, I expect we will get something in the media where Jon will argue because he feeds the kids when he has them, he is also supporting them.
2) Jon has been waging guerilla warfare against Kate about who the kids "love" more. I believe he not only allowed but encouraged that gossip by the filming of the kids upset at the gate to make Kate look bad and followed that up with himself sitting on the grass with his groceries waiting for Kate. Jon's friend Chris was the one there. Chris was the one badgering Kate about Hailey's charges.
Kate is reacting to all that. I believe there is at least some truth to what she said. We know that there have been a few times when Jon just had the sextuplets and not the twins. I am thinking they don't always want to go and probably do not enjoy routinely camping out with tups in a two bedroom apartment. Maybe, this is what Jon was referring to when he said the kids are starting to act "entitled" - perhaps they have complained about the living arrangements.
3) It was a mistake for Kate to go down this road in the interview. It is like kicking a hornet's nest which is never smart. However, whatever she says will be spinned very negatively which is why I don't believe that negative coverage of the interview necessarily means the interview was negative.
Kate asks Chris the badering pap to "Please, could you be quiet. Thank you." THis gets spun as Kate snapped at a reporter. It didn't get spun as Kate was polite not that she refused to discuss Hailey's accusations.
Knowing that a large number of people will vilify her no matter what she does, Kate seems to weigh media spin and public opinion pretty low in what she wears, does, and says.
GeeWhiz said - Schmuley asked if Kate was carried away with the TV thing and Jon says it's not his business but it seems excessive and he worrys about time with the kids.
ReplyDeleteLOL isn't that the pot calling the kettle black for both Schumley and Jon. Schumley because he is angry at TLC and his lack of televised opportunities and Jon because he wants back into television.
SchmeckyGirl - I want no part of the hater sites and I flatly refuse to go there.Period!
ReplyDeleteThat said, I have people who email me comments from them. My response is please let Baby Mama know how you feel. Either speak up or email her.
Well, I love reading everything Schmecky Girl has to say, sometimes I think she is the rare voice of reason! I like this site-most times. Sometimes I may feel unfairly judged, but I still come back here!It is Baby Mam's blog, so she has the right to run it the way she wants it to run.If someone doesn't like it, then start your own blog-it is still a free country!
ReplyDeleteIt seems if SG really respected Baby Mama she would not post on sites who bash her and make fun of her. I just don't understand that. Why promote something so vile?
ReplyDeleteFor myself, I came here to read about Kate and the kids without any negativity. I went to the hate sites once to see what exactly they were saying and ended up with a huge headache and felt mired in muck for a long time after.
ReplyDeleteThere was a time when I thought SG was here just to drum up comments. I don't really care anymore what she is here for. After reading comments on the last post and now on this one it is me that is outta here.
"It seems if SG really respected Baby Mama she would not post on sites who bash her and make fun of her".
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU for stating that - it's what I've been seeing and thinking for a long time but have held my tongue. How very, very rude of somebody to support those people who bash this blog owner, and then come over here and suck up to her. I find it extremely disrespectful and in just plain bad taste.
I would love to see Kate be able to converse about thsee isssues in more of a round table forum with other divorced mothers instead of with news reporter trained in getting sound bites and ratings. I am disappointed that I didn't hear the whole show this morining, but what I heard from Kate was that divorce and getting used to divorce was hard for her and the kids and they were struggling with things. I heard that Kate is the sole financial provider, she wasn't bashing Jon for not providing, just stating fact. I was at a married friend's house whos' husband was laid off and she said the same thing, not degrading her husband. I heard her say that the kids want to be home, not that they don't want to be with Jon. If I was interviewing, I would follow up with a question like "what do you think that Jon could do to make the children more comfortable," and then "How do you think you could support his efforts, but this was not the forum for that." It seems that the kids are grappling with typical divorce issues like, I love my Dad, but miss Mom and vice versa, and I hate shuffling around. They did try to have parents rotating out of the home and it didn't work.
ReplyDeleteI do think that Kate felt the need to give her side of the story about the kids wanting to be with Jon more than her when the kids really want to be with both parents together like all kids do.
You know what? What Shmecky Girl says here is certainly not bashing Baby Mama, but if Baby Mama thinks she is being bashed, then it is up to her to decide to delete or not, it's not really our business! And not even my business to say this! We are supposed to be all grown up now. There are soo many problems in the world right now- can't we try to have peace here? Tomorrow will be 8 years since I lost a child to cancer. My thoughts are with her right now, have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteSG it is typical of a Kate hater to constantly defend every stupid action Jon does, How could you possibly say there is nothing negative about Kate in the Rabbi's interview? Why should kate constantly hold her tongue when it comes to Jon? Was it funny for Jon and Ellen to twitter how hilarious that filthy rap song caalling Kate a bitch was? If Kate had done that the haters would have gone crazy. Do you haters think that Kate does not have feelings and emtions and that these kinds of things do not hurt her deeply? If your husband did the things that Jon did,the drinking ,cheating, lying and hooking up with a different 20 something every three months would you feel comfortable leaving your children with him? It is so obvious that this is not about the children,it is about very irrational personal feelings against a fellow woman and mother. I would also like to say that SG is a very negative force to an otherwise very positve blog.
ReplyDeleteWow, what the heck is going on? I know I have not been around as much, but SG is usually very supportive of BM.
ReplyDeleteAlthough, we often have a totally different perspective on the Gosselins, SG contributes greatly to this site.
She may not like Kate, but she's not "hateful" towards her or anyone who posts here.
Did I miss something? I've just never seen SG bash others anywhere(aside from Kate and TLC lol).
Besides, she's one of the few people left who can hook us up with Jon's tweets. I don't tweet myself, so I look forward to the updates.:)
To me, the issue isn't what SG says on this blog, it's that she is friendly with and supportive of the women who own Kate-hate blogs, and who say all sorts of terrible things about Baby Mama - and then she comes over here and basically sucks up to her before making all sorts of nasty comments about Kate.
ReplyDeleteYou don't have to have Twitter to read Jon's comments, even if blocked. You just go to main page, type in his screen name and up pop his comments. More often than not, I can't remember my Twitter password in the first place, so it's there, just appears. No Twitter account needed unless you want to send a message to Jon. Only times I did that was to make him aware of a job opening once, and once to pass on to him one I'd heard about that thought he might want to have agent follow up.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy the posts on this site. One of the reasons I stopped and observed this site longer than the others was because Schmecky provided a defence for some of Jon’s actions. Initially, I really felt for Jon and found him struggling to find his voice. Often times I would read about something he had done and would be really frustrated with his actions and then I would read Schmecky’s perspective and would once again return to trying to understand where he was coming from.
ReplyDeleteOthers too support Jon but they don’t do it by devaluing Kate. They may not like her but they are not hurtful or mean. I am sure Schmecky must be frustrated sometimes with the responses she receives from this site as others are frustrated with her posts, but I still think she should be allowed to post. Just because she posts on other sites doesn’t mean she condones what they believe. If that were the case then Schmecky is supporting Baby Mama in liking Kate, and we all know that ain’t true. LOL.
I found out that about Twitter recently. After he &Ellen had so much fun with the rapper who was awful, I really have no desire to know. It was interesting to see the Rabbi's comments but then I still got those from signing up for his newsletters before TLC cancelled his Shalom in the Home series and I never got around to unsubscribing.
ReplyDeleteI had never been a follower of Ellen. I thought perhaps I'd see if she stayed in the picture more than say 6 months since that seems to be the moving on number of months.
I was not using my cell phone so the plan ran out. Don't you have to have a phone to tweet? I've never done it & I'm thinking my husband would not be thrilled if I started a twitter account on his phone.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to hear that Jon has finally decided to take the high road...hope he's been working out, it will be a tough climb. Considering how far he fell off of it this year.;)
Nope. Use your computer. Http://Twitter.com
ReplyDeleteInteresting, thanks Linda!
ReplyDeleteOkay really leaving now. One of the tweeners has finally unlocked the bathroom door after 2 hrs of drama. We're off to a community service for 9/11 remembrance at midnight. We voted whole family to go and we have nobody in current meltdown but I'm sure that will be very short-lived. Again my prayers with all those of all faiths. A difficult time for so many people.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great thing to do Linda. Very cool.
ReplyDeleteI am a little curious why the sections of the radio show with the rabbi where Jon agreed with some of the off comments the rabbi made about Kate are now hard to find. I listened to the whole thing when it first came out and while he did not directly say anything bad about Kate he never corrected the rabbi or said lets not go there. Kind of the same behavior that people have been blasting Kate for on the internet today.
In the beginning I wasn't the biggest fan of either of them separately, I was a fan of them as a couple. They weren't perfect. It was a sweet show about this cute couple struggling with a gaggle of kids.
Then Jon started opening his mouth. I slowly lost respect for him. He's passive aggressive and easily influenced. That seems to me why people here are so quick to defend Kate. She's not. When stuff comes out his mouth my first thought is: what's the angle now?
He blocked me on twitter...why? I follow three sites that don't say positive things about him. I've never met, spoken to or EVER had any interaction with him. Never went to his twitter page. All because two people told him I was an evil sheeple. Yeah I support his family and think his kids are adorable. I'm.So.Evil.

As stated above, IMO, when he states “being around good people such as my girlfriend and myself and people that love them, they can see a sense of normalcy in their life” is a put down to Kate.
I think alot of people are overreacting to what Kate said and putting alot of hidden innuendos into it. I think the kids are having a tough time going between both places. Jon's one bedroom apt is not enough space for all 8, and I am sure that the kids feel couped in. I don't think Kate has an adgenda, but was asked questions that are on the personal side and she tried to answer them the best to her ability. I don't think she is saying the kids don't want to be with Jon..it is an adjustment period for them and most likely some separation anxiety for some of them.
ReplyDeleteAWESOME! Gee Whiz. Thank you. I thought I had saved it but apparently didn't. And ITA with your statement.
ReplyDeleteAnnastasia- I'm so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you and all those who lost loved ones today.
ReplyDeleteThis is JMHO. If SG didn't post here, who would give you another view or outlook on the situation? I can't explain myself as well as she does. I also do not have the patience to debate as much as LO and SG. Baby Mama is a smart cookie for keeping SG here. Her post make me go HMMMM, and they give me another view point that I might not have thought of.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, ITA agree with the person who said Kate should not have gone down that road because it was like kicking a hornets nest. How true that was.
Have a great day everyone and remember 911!
Back to the topic of the interview- here is my problem with it: when you as a celebrity go on these interview shows, you are supposed to be there to promote your current or upcoming show/movie/book/etc., NOT to be pestered about your personal life. Think about movie stars who constantly get asked who they are dating and they never answer, for example. Now in this interview, it was all about her personal life instead of her show. I don't know who is responsible for approving interview questions but I would think that her publicist or TLC or whoever is supposed to be looking out for her while she promotes for TLC needs to do a better job of prepping the interviewers or producers to stay on the topic at hand. Something is missing in the process. This was not an interview responding to personal events; in my opinion this was supposed to be promotion for Kate Plus 8 and instead it was mistakenly treated as a personal life interview.
ReplyDelete#1Caregiver - You express yourself very well, IMO.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I don't have a real perspective on why people visit certain blogs. There are dime a dozen hate & bashing blogs. Some names here you will see often there doing posts. How often? I don't really know because I want to vomit from the stench so don't go there; I just get the emails which I hope will now go to the decision maker, Baby Mama. These are sites that bash not only Kate but Baby Mama. Again, JMO, but if one avidly supports those sites, I don't care to see them post here.
Why can't there be one place where you can be proKate without getting jumped on by the, "Oh that's not fair! Give Jon another chance," rants?
I want health, happiness, success, and love for Jon and for his sake, I hope it's with Ellen. Do I read Ellen's blog? Nope, never been there. I'm told she offers relationship advice. Maybe she's the dalai lami of insight & wisdom. I have zero idea. My first thought was, "So how many relationships do you have to have been in to have wisdom to offer that advice at 23?" I decided I didn't care beyond wishing her well.
As for Kate, it doesn't matter how she dresses or what she says, the hornet's nest will be there.
On the Kate interview thing. I think that wether it's this interview or any other interview - Kate (or anyone in her position) can't win. If she says nothing, or paints a 'nice' picture - thenPopping in to say thanks to BM and SG for the sunglasses link! I didn't find those (because I didn't know exactly what I was looking for) but I did find a very nice pair that are very similar! I may have to go get those though - because I still really like the look (and I'm not one to notice things like that and 'want' them! LOL)
ReplyDeletelater - if it comes up - she will be criticized for NOT saying anything or for eluding to a 'things are completely good' situation when it isn't. So instead of her being criticized for her 'kind but truthful comments' (as is happening now) she would be criticized for being being dishonest because she would have 'known things weren't going smoothly and great". Make sense? No one is going to please all the people all the time.
I personally didn't hear any 'jon bashing' in her answers.
Crap - that was weird. The entire first part of my post didn't go through?
ReplyDeleteI started the above post with:
Heya!! Just popping in to say hi an a big THANK YOU to BM and SG for the sunglasses link! I'd already gone and bought a similar pair (because I didn't know what exactly I was looking for) - but I may have to go get those, too because I really like them a lot (and I'm not the type to notice something like that and be like "Ooooh I want those" -- EVER! LOL)
------
So sorry for the backwards post! I have no idea what happened!
Hope - well said! I didn't hear her bash Jon either. I never heard that the kids don't want to be with Jon, either. What I heard was: it's new & only been doing this 3months, when it gets closer to bedtime, some of the kids want to sleep in their own (familiar) beds.
ReplyDeleteWe have a lot of sleepovers in our house. Even with ours who are almost double the age of the youngest Gosselins, when it gets to be bedtime, almost without fail, somebody wants to go "home." Or, our kids when away want to come "home." It doesn't mean at all that they don't like where they are. It simply means nothing more than I want to be in my own bed.
Even as an adult who thoroughly enjoys travel, when away, I go through a few minutes at bedtime of wishing I were in my own bed. Don't you? Why should the Gosselin kids be any different?
Hi Ladies. I finally got a chance to watch the whole thing on YouTube. Y'know with all the talk about "perspective" on this thread I thought I'd add my 2 cents, even if unpopular.
ReplyDeleteFirst, Anderson & Kelly were holding cue cards so they must have been asking her the allowed questions, not badgering her as someone said. Kate's very good at bashing Jon in a subtle, passive-aggressive way and that's why it gets missed by some people. Again, it's about your perspective. In my eyes she always gets that uncomfortable fidgitty look and then gives a vague "I hate to do this to my kids' father on national TV but I've got nothing nice to say" reply. Sorry, but that's how I see it. Let's say the kids are unhappy when they're with Jon (there are no photos to prove this). Even if true, why air your dirty laundry on TV when the kids have to go to school and face the teasing?
I'm sorry, I watched it twice looking for something positive - I just didn't get it. Oh, and they did talk about the upcoming Kate + 8 episode so it wasn't all about the divorce.
One more thing. She said "soley supporting" at least twice. I thought the kids were doing more than their share to support the family. Also, if Jon was not paying child support he'd be in jail so it was not fair of her to imply that.
JMO
Dear Baby Mama,
ReplyDeleteToday I'm waxing nostalgic. I've been a fan of your site since...well a long time. The first blog post I read of yours was at the former site way back in November of 2008. Gosh, a lot of Gosselin drama has passed since then.
What drew me first was that it wasn't hate oriented. You hooked me when you shared your opinion, your own personal "take" on things. I enjoyed the idea that we shared so many of the same perspectives. I never commented then. I came back daily to see what you'd added, what people said, and breathed a huge welcome intake of what was being said.
I read daily, still never posting, throughout all your threads on the "old" blog. I rejoiced as your shared your perspectives, your take on all things Gosselin.
I followed you to this new blog, still reading and never posting a comment. I celebrated silently with you when your family crossed milestones of development. I admired your courage for stepping out to say what you felt. I still admire you.
Despite geographic differences and reference points, I applauded you for taking time from your obviously very busy life, to write and keep up a little corner of the world that didn't have to bash others simply for the thrill of bashing, bullying, or whatever. I've watched ardent posters come and go, some agreeing, some disagreeing.
As said, I followed you to this new site, and again, another long period passed of just reading you before I ever posted a word. Through the looong period of time, we became web friends. Much more Gosselin drama passed. I'm honored to be a reader and so pleased that you have allowed me to get to know you.
Thanks for all you've done and may you keep doing it for a very long time.
Xoxoxo hugs from your friend Linda
First, I don't think Jon needs anyone's help, Kate included, to make himself look bad. He can do bad all by himself! Jon claiming to take "rise above" the fray and take the high road was pretty laughable considering he pretty blatantly implied or called her a liar. Tsk - Who's calling who a liar? He's done his share of throwing Kate under the bus several times already. I don't trust him to change spots this soon.
ReplyDeleteSecondly, Kate, usually controlls her words very carefully and although put on the spot, albeit unprepared for the line of questioning, was still very careful and vague but candid but doesn't sugar coat their situation. She truthfully shares that [as in any typical divorce situation], it is a very confusing time full of adjustments for the Kids. It may have been a veiled subtle dig at Jon out of frustration but nowhere did she blatantly throw Jon under the bus as I would have. The tabloid media sure knows how to blow something way out of proportion or wildly twist words to exaggerate and sensationalize. If it weren't for that, the kids wouldn't be as affected by the interview itself.
Thirdly, I believe her references to being the sole provider was not the primary focus of her statement or discussion. She stated that [since] she is the only one actually paying their bills [she] was grateful for the income from all her new found opportunities.
(btw, Jon isn't going to jail if the court has waived child support payments from him. As far as the kids earning money, all the money the kids earn go directly to them, not necessary towards their basic living costs nor the household bills.)
Hi Lucysmom. This is what I love about this blog. Respectful differences of perspective. I say perspective insead of opinion b/c I don't think it's our place to give our opionions on things we know nothing about. I believe Jon and Kate should BOTH be quiet when it comes to those personal questions. Jon isn't given nearly as large a forum as Kate so maybe that's why it's easier for more people to throw dirt her way.
ReplyDeleteThe "hate" blogs have been ridiculous regarding Kate's interview, calling her a liar and accusing her of looking for pity and more viewers for her show. That's not where I'm coming from. I'm only saying she should have said something to the effect of "It's a learning process. Jon and I are both where we want to be right now and we're trying to do the best for the kids. Can we talk about something else now?" It's been nearly a year since the divorce and Kate's had tons of practice answering such questions.
Granted, Jon should not have used the word "lies" in his twitter. I understand his frustration but lies is a fighting word and not worthy of taking the high road.
Have a great day everyone!
I actually wonder if Jon actually watched the interview in full before he tweeted. Maybe when he states that there are lies, he is going by someone else's interpretation of things. What did kind of surprise me is that this interview didn't really seem to have a purpose at least that I could see other than to Give Regis and Kelly show ratings for Kate being on. Nobody has really said anything about the future of Kate Plus Eight or Twist of Kate. Is it returning as a weekly series or are they just using up footage. Are they trying to get Jon's approval for future filming, or do they even need it? Somebody said contract negotiations are up soon, maybe TLC is trying to gage response. I just don't know anything from this interview other than that divorce is hard for Kate and the kids.
ReplyDeleteI bet my money on that tashapork. He seems to like to take other peoples word instead of fact checking.
ReplyDeleteCorrina, thank-you, your words mean alot to me on this sad day. I think that because I have lost a child, I may feel differently about being a good mom, than those women who, thankfully, have never lost a child. Hug your kids every moment you get, you just never know what tomorrow will bring :)
ReplyDeleteLori Anne - differences in opinion, are, IMO colored of course by one's own life experiences, and thus one's own perspective. BTW, there are forums which support only Jon and are totally against Kate. I won't list any of them here, but should you ever want them, in the interest of providing, shoot me an email; I'm assuming that they are still in existence.
ReplyDeleteThere are ones that are against everybody including the Gosselin kids. I found some of them long ago by accident. I'm assuming those are unfortunately still in existence; I have no desire to check them. What's sadder to me is that some of those that are supposedly now for purposes of protecting the kids were a year ago making horrendous remarks? Why the switch? JMO, but I feel they are trying to "suck in" Jon and Ellen as supporters. One of them who avidly supports Jon now was here in March calling both Jon & the kids some pretty sick names.
I wish for Jon health, happiness, success, and love, along with insight and wisdom. I felt moving back to PA was a step in the right direction. His choice of apartment was D- though, IMO. A solution? If it is 2 bedrooms, put in 2 sets of bunk beds; then do overnights with smaller groups such as two days with twins, two days with little girls, then two days with little boys. Yes, a bigger commitment of time, but would make each feel special and the numbers more manageable given the size of the apartment. I'd put the bunk beds in the living room if it meant my kids felt at home.
Another plus, Jon could transport the smaller numbers in his car safely and efficiently. It would eliminate the "camping out" feeling, make the bathroom situation more manageable also. What do you think?
Lucysmom - pertaining to your last paragraph about Child Support and The kids income.
ReplyDeleteCourts do not have the authority to waive child support, they can only defer it until an unemployed parent gets a job. Only the parent that has physical custody of the kids can sign off. I really think Kate signed off in a deal with Jon and TLC to get the kids back on TV. JMO
As for the monies earned by the kids: They are only getting the 15% of what ever Kate+8 makes. By the Labor Laws that is what was ordered and the rest goes to Kate for Household bills. Any other money that Kate makes can be considered her own. $250,000.00 per episode for K+8, might have been very temping to get her to sign off.
Now before anyone jumps all over me, I will say that I think Kate is smart enough to put more then 15% away for all their future. Its just not locked up in a trust for the kids.
Linda nice salute to BM. It almost sounded like a farewell address. Are you leaving?
ReplyDeleteJust kidding.
Annastasia - my prayers are also with you on the loss of your child. Not all of mine are living thanks to a drunk driver. No matter the reason, the loss of any child is a mother's worst nightmare.
ReplyDelete#1Caregiver - Not planning to leave. Baby Mama has taken a lot of bashing on a number of sites. I have little tolerance for those who call her vile names simply because she supports Kate, any more than I would support those who call Jon vile names. I have zero tolerance for anyone who calls the kids vile names for any reason; doing that earns a spot on the permanent Zap list with no further warnings.
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to remind Baby Mama that there are many who read her site with support and yet never post a comment. Vocal as I am, it was a very long time before I ever posted the first comment.
Thanks,LindaOriginal, thoughtful of you to say. Please accept my heartfelt thoughts to you about the loss you also suffered as a mom. I had no idea that you had to suffer the loss of children.Especially so suddenly. At least I had 19 months to say my goodbyes to her, not that it was any easier, but you must have suffered greatly. The toughest thing we will ever have to live thru. Thanks for sharing, it is a lonely club to belong to :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Annastasia. It is a lonely club. :)
ReplyDeleteI am glad that several people spoke up concerning some of the non Kate supporters on this board. I too feel it's hypocritical for them to "play" at being nice on Baby Mama's blog and then turn around and to to other sites that say horrible things about this blog and yes even agree with them. I posted here for a little while but stopped after a couple of vicious attacks by the non Kate fans right here on this board who took my opinions that I wrote on Baby Mama's blog to other sites and very viciously attacked me for what I said here even to the point of copying and pasting what I said here. These were boards that show both sides as I don't go to the hate sites although I did see some copy and paste comments on other pro Kate sites that were C&P from hate sites of their opinions of what I said here. The attacks were so out of left field and so vicious it left me speechless. It continued several more times until I decided to stop posting here as a direct result of the attacks on other boards by a couple of the non Kate posters here. It did stop after I stopped posting here.
ReplyDeleteI just want to say I'm glad that others have spoken up and maybe that is the very reason that now many will read here at Baby Mama's site and not post their opinions because just maybe they too were attacked on other sites after posting here or saw others attacked.
This is not in any way Baby Mama's fault as she has the right and the choice to have whoever she wants here. It was my decision and my decision alone to chose to just read here and not post again. I have a pretty thick skin but the attacks were so vicious it sent me into shock that anyone could be so vicious over my opinion on a TV Reality mom.
So I have said my peace and will continue to read here at Baby Mama's site but I will no longer post again because frankly life is too short and I would rather stay on the positive side of life and I find it better to stay quiet than to post my opinion on this board as a direct result of those attacks. I do appreciate and value Baby Mama's opinions and that's why I will continue to read here.
Kudos to those that spoke up first that gave me the courage to not feel alone to speak my peace.
As a final note please remember all the lives that were tragically lost on 911. All the people who lost their lives, all the families that were devastated and to all the firemen, policemen and other government workers that gave their lives bravely and unselfishly helping their fellow Americans and those from other nations that were killed in this horrible tragedy. God Bless them all.
Hello everyone. Good uhh I guess evening. lol
ReplyDeleteToday was a busy day tugging at both sides of my heart. Birthday parties for loved ones and quiet memorials for loved ones that I have lost 9 painful years ago. It was touching and appreciated that Linda poured her heart out about both her personal life and the appreciation of us meeting because of this site.
I'm so over all over the place today with emotions. So guess I will leave this with that corny saying that we all need to take a moment whenever we can to appreciate all that we have been blessed with. I think that if more of those that attack us for being supportive to each other on this blog would do the same, then perhaps they wouldn't feel the need to attack they way they do. And have their constant panties in a bunch ;)
On a quick note, CrafyMom I hope you feel better, and as always Linda thanks for coming here and giving me the opportunity to meet such a wonderful person! xoxoxox
LindaO and Annastasia - I am so sorry for your loss. My heart breaks for both of you.
ReplyDeleteBaby Mama and everyone else affected by 9/11 my thoughts and prayers are also with you.
Thank you GeeWhiz.
ReplyDeleteThanks Baby Mama I seem to be on the mend.
ReplyDeleteAgain as I said last year I am so sorry that you are among the group that lost so much on that awful day. I didn't lose any one close to me but I did know people on the plane from Boston. One of my nurses in Boston that helped save my little one lost her son on 911 and she told me she became a NICU nurse to help prevent other mothers from feeling her pain.
So **hugs** and thank you for providing a great place to meet fabulous people that I otherwise wouldn't have.
Monday night - I'm looking forward to Monday's show.
ReplyDeleteHas anybody seen a promo? The title is "A Rough Ride." That could be almost anything, lol.
I'm wondering if it is a continuation of BHIsland and more of what they did. I saw the clip on TLC with Mady/Cara learning to surfboard and a challenge to Kate that if they tried, Kate had to try.
While Kate enjoys the beach, she's stated before she's not much of an ocean person. I think watching Kate try surfboarding would be very funny.
All this is pure speculation on my part. What do you think? (It's something different to talk about.)
It is! It is! Finally TLC posted a description. Surfing and deep sea fishing.
ReplyDeleteMy heart goes out to everyone that lost anyone in their life. No one goes unscathed to loss that is for sure. I am grateful to everyone on this site that posts because the stories and perspectives you share make my life richer. I too was like Linda, following the site but never posting. I appreciate the diverse views from Schmecky and #CG, Lori Anne. I appreciate the other thoughtful posts by others like Momsby, Parr, Corrina, Annastasia, Linda O, and many, many others. I like this site because it is supportive. I always want to respond to what everyone says but then another great post goes up and says what I am thinking. Thanks Baby Mama for working so hard to keep this site going and magical.
ReplyDeleteI think I saw a clip of four of the kids throwing up on a boat ride to somewhere. I agree Linda O, I think Kate has to try something she is not comfortable with. Surfing would be cool.
ReplyDeleteBaby Mama - I had the date wrong. The first post of yours that i read was back in August of 2008, the one with the recipes. Gosh, that seems like decades ago now.
ReplyDeleteLindaOriginal--My heart breaks for your loss of a child. I'm so sorry.
ReplyDeleteCorrina - Thank you. While my loss is not fresh, you don't forget. I've said here in March or April, I'm an ardent supporter of MADD. Responsible drinking means using a designated driver, calling a cab, and never getting behind the wheel after drinking. It doesn't mean I'm opposed to any use of alcohol, but it sure as heck means that tougher enforcement of laws and zero tolerance for violations needs to happen.
ReplyDeleteSorry, no soapbox.
fascinated - Somehow, I can just imagine Kate's reaction to a challenge to try surfing. I don't think she'd enjoy it, but that's JMO. I love the beach, find listening to the surf roll in, and picking up shells. But as for surfing, I think I'd rather try parasailing and I'm not so thrilled with heights, lol. At Jockey's Ridge, on the Outer Banks (not near Bald Head Island), from this huge sand dune ridge, there's a liot of hang gliding; I was never brave enough to do that either.
ReplyDeleteHas anybody here done much surfing, parasailing, or hang gliding? Guess I'm just chicken.
I have no interest in surfing either. I may be brave enough to try hang gliding or parasailing. I tried water skiing but can never seem to stand up. To scared.
ReplyDeleteHey everyone! I have aniexty sleeping tonight.. Ever have that? Problems sleeping and 3 hours of The History Channel watching 911 recaps didn't help.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to laugh when I saw Linda mentioning August 2008. People were starting to find my blog while searching and kept e-mailing me about my site. And I was using my own personal e-mail adress like an idiot. I would tell people that it was just going to be a few posts in response to GWOP. A FEW POSTS. lol That was also when Jon himself responded to me with his personal email address after I contacted him. I saved it for a month and tried to write back but by them his mailbox was full and eventually invalid. It got so crazy with mine as well and created the gmail account.
For both of us, it was simpler times. When we all didn't realize what we were getting ourselves into ;)
Lexxi, glad you could say your piece (peace?) I for one would never do such a horrible thing as you're describing and I've never seen Schmecky do it either so I don't know who you're talking about. Nice to hear from you again anyway.
ReplyDeleteLinda--That was no soapbox! I couldn't agree with you more about the designated drivers etc.
ReplyDeleteA drunk driver hit our son head on and our son's truck rolled over the car and ended upside down on the roadside, no serious injuries-- Thank God! Unfortunately, the system didn't work because a few months later that same driver caused an accident with a fatality.
#1caregiver - Was your remark "I guess Kate figures if she loses one its no big deal" really necessary? IMO, it is another example of why Kate supporters get frustrated here.
ReplyDelete#1Caregiver - That remark was tasteless and hurtful. My first response was to check and see if was made by somebody pretending to be you.
ReplyDeleteSince it is a clip from TLC, it will be available either on the episode or on the webisodes at TLC.
While I will not delete it, I cannot guarantee the same from the big Mama.
I've enjoyed many of your comments and your different perspective. This one was a whole different ball of wax. To come here and state that you feel Kate doesn't care if her children die was unconscionable, and in very poor taste.
In less than two hours it has been copied and pasted on four different hate sites. Those are just the ones emailed to me. Should you choose to venture in that direction again in an outright attack, it will be deleted.
I'm hoping that it was a temporary loss of your usual judgment.
"I guess Kate figures if she loses one its no big deal."
ReplyDeleteWhat an extraordinarily unkind remark to make. Clearly you are aware that a couple of regular posters on this forum have just discussed the loss of their own beloved children. Could you BE any more inconsiderate or hateful? Shame on you.
Caregiver - I have seen neither the boat on which this happened, nor have I seen the episode.
ReplyDeleteNot every bus provides seat belts. School buses do not. Every car does have them.
Not every floating object requires life jackets. For example, ferries do not require wearing life jackets; cruise ships do not require them for walking around on deck; kayaking with small children does require them, pontoon boats do require them being worn at all times, etc.
I suggest we wait and see. I don't think that's too much to ask. I tend to get boat sick easily. I have to have calm water to do even the ferry ride.
#CG, I used make glib comments until I began working with people that abused their children. There is a lot more going on than we will ever know. I saw some parents that genuinely loved their kids and did not know a different way. There were also some parents that genuinely disliked their kids. They had hate and resentment towards them. Let’s just say they had many issues to work out.
ReplyDeleteI understand your dislike for Kate is deep and I understand that your perspective is that Kate is in it for herself and doesn’t really care about the kids. I also appreciate that you are working hard on articulating your feelings and thoughts so that you don’t offend anyone. I think the message was clear that your last statement wasn’t well thought out.
However, I think that your statement (although I didn’t see it, I am just going by what others posted) is not unlike when people make glib comments about Jon not caring for the kids. There shouldn’t be a double standard on this site. I always appreciate your perspective and I think your post and your willingness to review what you said, reminds me to do the same when I make a glib comment about Jon and his behaviours. It is easy to defend someone that we identify with and easy to vilify the one we don’t.
LO - The sneak peak on the TLC website had the picture up of Adin standing at the railing and Kate was holding a fishing pole. He is in his bathing suit or shorts, no shirt and no life jacket. I don't know if it is still there.
ReplyDeleteYes, I hated the fact that school buses did not have seat belts. I think they were all made before the laws were changed and got away with it. I worried on all the field trips we went on. 2 wrongs do not make a right.
All commercial vehicles on the ocean have to abide by all coast gaurd rules. Even the Great Lakes have the 13 and under rule for life jackets.
Now as far as cruise ships, I am not sure but don't parents have to sign something like a ride at your own risk policy. They are responsible for keeping there kids under control at all times.
Also there is a ruling on out in inter-coastal waters where ferry boats don't go. But they are required to have one jacket for each person, as per capacity. They haven't made it mandatory yet for adults to wear them.
Oh well, I have to get going. CU
From what I have read, the 13-and-under rule for life vests applies to "recreational vessels". That's only based on what I've read on line, and I could be wrong.
ReplyDeleteOkay - Safety regulations researched regarding personal flotation devices (pfd) previously known as life vests.
ReplyDeleteReferences -.U S Coast Guard requirements. (Not on computer so can't cut & paste direct link)
PFDs - Ferries (such as Statue of Liberty & Southport to Bald Head Island) - required to be on board for every person, but not required to be worn in transit.
PFDs - Freshwater lakes, boating. Must be worn by all under 13 if railings are not solid (base to top) and are railings which are not solid and if railings are less than 3 ft in height.
PFDs - Salt Water - Deep sea fishing vessels, commercial class for hire. Required to be available one per person for all aboard. Required to be worn in transit and throughout passage for passengers under age 13 IF outer perimeter (adjacent to water) ARE NOT solid base to top of rail and/or LESS than 3 feet in height from base to top of rail.
The deep sea fishing boat that I just watched on the promo was:
Commercial vessel for hire
Solid floor to top of rail wall which certainly appeared to be at least 3 feet in height since it came to just above/at Kate's waist. Kids had to stand on tippy toe to even see over them!
Good evening everyone. I just want to say how happy it has made me feel to see alot of commenters I hadn't seen in a while posting today. But very upset now as I see what happened.
ReplyDeleteI deleted my post regarding laughing at #1Caregivers comment. First of all I did not read the entire thread yet, and it was right after Corrina got upset about Caregivers comment that it appeared I was laughing at it. I had no idea what was going on since I just posted over my phone. All I saw was #1Caregiver's comment about my photo looking off for it's title description since it wasn't anything related to the episode. I had no idea of the discussion at hand and once I re-read the entire thread I was mortified.
I think I suffered from the same problem she did, though I will only speak for myself. From now on I will read the thread before making my comment as to not offend anyone, and make sure my comment is re-read so that it's not out of left field or innapropriate to the discussion. Linda and Annastasia both know that my heart goes out to the both of them. Both mine and Caregivers comment appeared to be tastless for the situation and I am so very sorry. And for the record, I was not meaning to offend anyone and I think you both know that. I don't think Caregiver meant to offend either.
Ok Linda now I must laugh, cause at your 9:32 comment you called me big mama. I'm too tiny and petite, but yes I am "big" in heart....xoxoxox
ReplyDeleteAnd I would also like to add, I could never even think to imagine how I would handle the loss of a child. When I had my IVF I was excited to be blessed with what I thought would be twins. When I lost one at 9 weeks, I was devastated. I couldn't bear to even go there and think of what I would do or how I would handle losing a baby that was talking or getting ready to walk. My heart once again goes out ot both Linda & Annastasia, and any time you want someone to listen to you I'm just a click away. xoxoxox
ReplyDeleteJon wouldn't go to jail in PA for unpaid child support until all other processes were followed first. The first process being Kate would have to file a claim stating he hasn't paid with the Dept that handles child support. I can't remember the name of it right now, but having done payroll in PA I had lots of employees paying money weekly out of their paychecks.
ReplyDeleteI don't see Kate doing that at any time.
Baby Mama - Big Mama, as in Chief in Charge Mama!! (I'm 5'2" also, lol) As in, power to banish forever Mama.....that Mama. Maybe it's when you're short you have to be heard a lot. (Guess our least favorite in the whole slimy bug world will now label me as not only narcisstic, but also with a Napoleon Complex, lol.)
ReplyDeleteOkay, now hope I made you laugh again, lol.
Tried to do a screen shot of the deep sea fishing boat but can't crop on the iPad & not sure if you can.
LoL, Linda. I'm 5'3" and also a shorty. I'm looking forward to tomorrow's episode. See ya back here tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteTake care everyone!
No worries, Ladies. I just ended up thinking about the little boy in our family that drowned and realized how quickly it happened and how final it is.
ReplyDeleteCorrina, it made truly realize how trivial comments are about Kate's parenting when she is doing the best she can, and taking care of her kids. She was blessed with 8 healthy ones. I guess its just important for me to stop and realize how blessed I am because you can lose everything in an instant.
ReplyDeleteBaby Mama--I know you speak from experience and I'm really sorry about that.
ReplyDeleteFirst off Annastasia & Linda..NO soap box is ever too big, when it comes to children's health and well being. To hear that you have suffered that kind of a loss, TRULY makes my heart ache for you both.
ReplyDeleteLinda, actually I will admit...hearing you lost children to a drunk driver, not only makes me sad it makes me ANGRY...nobody should EVER have to suffer that kind of loss. MADD, is a wonderful group.
I'm also so proud that I have immediate family members, who work everyday to keep us safe...but unfortunately they can only do so much....we need society as a whole to recognize this problem & do the right thing. Keep up the efforts ladies, it does make a difference.
BMama, I'ver never pictured you as big physically, I've always just presumed you had a big personality. You, used to compensate for your smaller size. Nice to hear I was correct in my guess.
ReplyDeleteThis discuasion of the kids on the boats reminds me of something that hit kind of close to home. Last year, when we went to Philidephia we had such a great time on a Ride the Ducks tour with one of those land vehicles that turn into a boat. This summer, the same tour had a tragedy where it malfunctioned, a barge ran into it and it was turned over, killing 2 and injuring others. I think they did make the kids wear life vests, but I don't remember. It was a jolt and did change my views about being more cautious.
ReplyDeleteHi I asked you yesterday what was IW stood for but I cannot find the post. Could you please tell me again...so sorry to ask again just cannot remember what it was. Thank yoj
ReplyDeletebee - I never saw a post from you yesterday, but it is Imperfect women.
ReplyDeleteI saw the pictures of Jon picnicking with the kids on Radar and it really didn't look to me like all of them were there. On one hand I was glad to see the photographers not being soo invasive if they had to shoot, on the other hand if a couple of the kids arent't there it could give credence to Kate's comments on Regis and Kelly. I don't know, personally I liked Lindas' suggestion a couple of days ago of having the kids visit in smaller groups. I think everyone could get more of both parent's time that way and be more comfortable in Jon's smaller surroundings.
ReplyDeleteTashapork - I just went on ROL to see the pics of Jon and kids but couldn't find them. But Kate popped up first with Neild in Mexico, it was a funny article, to me anyways. They said she was working but there are no camera crews to be seen. Also, by the time I finished scrolled through their news, I went back and could not find them again. Does ROL file them away?
ReplyDeleteThanks to all of you, sorry #1caregiver said what she said, sure she must be very sorry, and feel small making her comments. I forgive her.Linda, agree, blogs work great as a soapbox, as we get close to those who most here, no better place to speak the truth to each other.I feel a real connection to you now, we need to support each other, or the world would be a very lonely place! :)
ReplyDeleteSorry-"those who POST here"
ReplyDelete#1caregiver - Why can't you believe what ROL said? Why does there have to be a camera crew for her to be working?
ReplyDeleteThe article from the picnic was at the bottom of the thread!
Gee Whiz, Is ROL a reliable source?
ReplyDeleteROL is right about 55-60% percent of the time.
ReplyDeleteThey do better when reporting their own stuff but often just repeat stuff from some really rotten sources. (that percentage was generous!)
#1caregiver - Until proven otherwise, I believe she is there working. If they had an inapproprate picture they would have published it.
ReplyDeleteWhy is it the naysayers believe every negative article about Kate but refuse to believe one that does not critize her?
Oops - should be criticize.
