Hello Gosselin fans! I put this post up kind of quick, so it may be a work in progress. Jon has been busy in the past 24 hours. He is being attacked by fans of the show for making fun of Kate publicly after finding out about an old song about her he was sent. Ellen, did the EXACT same thing on her Twitter account, showing that her "neutral" stance on the family was just for show. Ellen also proved one step up from the rest of his girlfriends of the past year by basically giving interviews to any blog that would ask her. Where was Jon's mind to think that this was OK?
So now he has taken the opportunity to make his wife look like some type of monster by allowing his FRIEND from INF meet him at the door while he drops his kids off. The kids are obviously upset and sad that they have to leave their dad. Do any haters have kids or at least know that they ALL do that? My kids were screaming when I went to work too you know. Pisses me off to no end. They cried, Jon couldn't hear anyone at the gate and the kids were dropped off up front where the pap could video the whole thing. Did anyone stop to think this was COMPLETELY planned? Image makeover 101. Make SURE friend has video to see kids sad to leave there dad, make them sound HYSTERICAL. Make Kate look bad. I want to hear from you all and tell me if you agree with me or not. But comment after you watch the video you you can see how staged this all was. Jon this backfired on you baby. But nice try after making yourself look horrible by PUBLICLY attacking your wife.......
Exclusive: The Gosselin Kids in Hysterics Over Leaving Dad Jon: (Or how I like to call INF not knowing what it's like to have kids and making a big deal over nothing to get readership) INFDaily.com (photos & video courtesy of INF)
INF has exclusive photos and video of Jon Gosselin dropping off the sextuplets yesterday afternoon after they spent the day together at the arcade. The pictures are hard to look at, but the video is absolutely heartbreaking and should be watched with caution, as it’s upsetting. The sextuplets are hysterical: when Jon opens the van’s door you can hear them all crying and wailing that they don’t want to leave him.
Jon waits at the gate of Kate Gosselin’s house while a nanny comes down the driveway and gets into the driver’s seat to take the van into the garage. Twins Mady and Cara come out from the house to greet Jon, and both of them are visibly upset as well, though they’re very quiet. Jon gets into the waiting car of a friend and drives away – it’s clear he’s anguished.
I think I am going to throw up.
ReplyDeleteObviously, they don't react this way with Kate because they see her all the time. This suggests that they never see him.
As a side note the trees look great and seem to provide lots of privacy.
ReplyDeleteI am glad to see the new bushes, it really does the trick!!
ReplyDeleteI think most kids at that age are going to react going to and from the parent they don't live with. While it may be heartbreaking to hear, it's normal at that age.
I don't think it was staged.
Why is Jon dropping them off outside of their yard. If they don't want the paps to get unnecessary pictures... this isn't working.
ReplyDeleteThe trees do look great.
Here's how I see it:
ReplyDeleteThe children were just gone with Tlc and their mother on a long trip for filming. They have not seen their father in at least 2 or 3 weeks. I know someone here is going to jump on that sentence so before you do, recently since his move back to town he has established a pattern of visitation. The kids are used to being with him on a more reg. basis now. They miss him, just as much as they miss their mother too when she is gone someplace.
Children are always the victims in a Divorce and the Parents have to make their best decisions. OK. here's my stance:
Whoever made the rule about drop off by the road should know by now that it is not going to work and needs to be changed. This is the second time I have seen paps and problems along side the road with J&K. If Kate wants to let him drop off the kids at the door then it would be almost pap free and a comfortable spot for the kids. Just drop and go.
Linda - in their situation, I don't know of a pap free zone except the police station and why cause the children more to be upset about.
I believe that if one thing isn't working do something else. I do feel bad for the kids, they just didn't want Dad to go. Can't blame them for crying and no one should blame Jon or Kate. It's a situation that the kids will adjust to eventually in time.
Caregiver - Absolutely, the kids love both parents. Divorce is are hard thing on any children, regardless.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea about any rule for dropping off at the road. Does anybody else? It suddenly just happened today.
There has to some solution - a bank covered deck parking lot, something, somewhere. Third parties present, etc.
Goodness gracious, I was never able to watch the video. It must be my old computer, the video just kept buffering and buffering so I scrolled down to read the comments. I now have a dull ache in my head. You guys were certainly right about some coconuts taking this and running with it.
ReplyDeleteThey like to believe the kids were all in a tizzy because they had to go back with their awful mother not because they were sad to be leaving their dad.
Who thinks that way?
I do think that Jon should have been allowed to drive the van up to the house along with his friend's car. I think the gate could be opened from the house.
ReplyDeleteAnd then had their goodbyes at the house. But we will never know the truth behind what happened at the gate.
Linda - the drop off/pick up started about 2 weeks before they went to Alaska. I don't know why but people are making it look like Jon's fault. Who knows??? I said along time ago that thes two adults are not done fighting yet, but now I think if the media stayed out of it, they might be able to get on with their lives.
ReplyDeleteWe are all to blame for being the gawkers on line for everything Gosselin. JMO
Night all!
Linda in response to your comment I totally understand why Kate doesn't want them dropped off at the front door and there was a trigger for that but we don't need to go into that. It could be easily solved if Jon were to just use his cell phone to call the house and someone from the house can already be there at the gate outside to take the van with the kids to the house. Then this long pap minutes could have easily be fixed because there wouldn't be so much time waiting to stop, call the house and then wait for someone to come out. Since it was Jon's personal pap there already of course it was a pap opportunity.
ReplyDeleteAs far as the kids, of course they love their mom and dad. Don't forget that Jon has been gone for months at a time by his own choice and they didn't see him so they might be afraid that could happen again.
caregiver, now don't you remember it was two weeks ago that Jon twittered when he was going to have the kids next? It is Jon's deal when it's the pap that he uses and has been using for a long time now.
ReplyDeleteAdele I have to agree with you about some thinking the kids were upset about going home. It's so silly since they love both of their parents.
ReplyDeleteLinda~ you were right. The voice of the "pap" was the same voice of the guy that Jon's friends with. He's even been on numerous videos I have posted here. He definetly was the only guy there and I wouldn't put it past Jon at this point to have called him right before he got there knowing that Kate had the drop off in front of the gate.
ReplyDeleteI try to remain as neutral about Jon as I can. I might think all the same things but just don't put voice to them.
ReplyDeleteI've watched the show since the very beginning and always enjoyed his personality. I am very sad for his situation right now it just seems so sordid and dirty. And I said "seems" because we really don't know enough about this or anything else to pass judgement but it certainly seems like a sad state of affairs all the way around.
The pap is the same one that follows Kate around too. He's not just around for Jon. Tunnel vision exists for those who think Kate has no part or responsibility in this whole enitre mess. WHY do we need to see this??????? This is NOT our business.
ReplyDeleteDawn you are right on one thing. We didn't need to see this. But since it's now everywhere in blogland except the 10 o' clock news I'm going to discuss it here. And for the record, Kate is obviously not friends with this guy nor has ever done anything to make it appear that she even wants him here. Jon acts like he just saw him for dinner pretending he didn't just call him..Big difference.
ReplyDeleteFYI~ I don't think I have tunnel vision, nor do I feel that Kate perhaps made a bad judgment call by locking his ass out. But if YOU found out your ex-husband was making fun of you on line and his new girlfriend can't keep her mouth shut.. how would YOU feel?? I would have locked him out too.
This pap is the same one who followed her and Jamie and Jamie's kids and was asking questions from a few weeks ago. All I am saying is that Jon is not the only one that is followed by this guy. As you said - there is plenty out in "blogland" that proves that. Regardless of what Jon OR Kate does, kicking him out of the dropoff at the garage is NOT GOOD for the kids. Why can't these two see past their issues and realize that? Put the shoe on YOUR foot. So your pride of having "humiliation" online by Jon and the girlfriend steps above what is best for the kids, which is to have a common/neutral ground for drop offs/exchange. I would hope someone could see past there selfishness.
ReplyDeleteDawn This pap does also follow Kate from time to time, 3 times in the last 2 1/2 months that I've found - shopping excursions. With Jon, he's been the one in NY with the smoking on the street outside, the beside the backyard picnic table near the downstairs playroom, the field at the back, the front in loader, etc. It breaks my heart. Your right, it isn't our business. It's so doggone hard for kids. Every kid wants to turn back the clock and hope it's a bad dream that mom and dad aren't together.
ReplyDeleteFew typos in last post. Sorry.
ReplyDeleteTypos aren't a big deal here. We're much more concerned about sentiment than perfect typing. :)
ReplyDeleteI thought Lexxi's point was good. He's got a doggone cellphone. He has to know a pap's following him. Why the heck wouldn't you call 5 miles out and have somebody waiting to meet you at the gate???
ReplyDeleteTo be honest. I don't like Kate. The thread about the term "bitch" was interesting. I don't see much compassion or decency to others in her. It always bothered me IMMENSELY about their special days with the kids being SUCH a big deal, but she did not go with any of the boys. As a mom of a young boy, the alone time with him is priceless. I wish she would show more affection to her kids. Either TLC does not include that footage in the episodes or it just doesn't happen much if at all when they film. Which one that is, we'll never know. My little boy gives me affection every day out of the blue. Makes me sad that affection is not a factor in the episodes.
ReplyDeleteI saw a VERY old episode about 2 weeks ago and she was affectionate. I feel it's horrible that we dissect (even though technology provides the right) what is shown online and everyone projects what they think is going on and bashing both parents which serves no purpose in the grand scheme of life for those 8 kids.
Yes especially since you had recently tweeted that you would like your kid's life to be as pap free as possible.
ReplyDeleteThe heck with Jon and companion Tweeting about the rap song. I'm going to hope the kids don't read it. It would rip me that my ex was listening to this drivel WHILE the kids were there!!! If it were a "girl" rap song calling Jon a shiftless, bast••d, and Kate Tweeted about listening to it with the kids in Alaska I would be equally livid!!! Three weeks ago I was out of commission for 72 hours. So was something published then about Kate no longer allowing Jon on the grounds??? Did I miss it??? I know Kate had trees planted to block paparazzi. Is this in response to the closed decision of the judge regarding visitation and custody? Is this a ploy to get the heat off for cramming all of them in one bedroom?
ReplyDeleteI agree Linda, thats the sad thing. Kate has to deal with all this residual crap that she has no control over. I bet you this is the last you will see of any idiocy by the gate. She put in the bushes and trees and will now deal with this bit of lunacy.
ReplyDeleteI am sending some happy thoughts and energy Kate's way tonight. God knows she needs it.
Something came out a week or two ago that the drop off zone was at the end of the driveway. There were pictures of Kate and Jon with the van.
ReplyDeleteUh Dawn. Did you miss the whole trip with the boys out west? The chickens there? The hiking trip? The cookouts? The horses? The whole 9 days with no papaparazzi? Or the year before with just the boys on the trip to the battleship? Or the outdoor backyard olympics? I'll stop. If you need more examples, I can list more. Those were all just Kate and the boys.
ReplyDeleteAdele~ I loved your post. We gets so filled up with hate and disgust on both ends that we forget to send the positive thoughts. Kate needs them right now.
ReplyDeleteIt made me think about the first time I left the house to go to work. My baby was crying horribly and I left and started crying myself. But my mom rocked her to sleep and she was fine. I think we need to remind everyone that kids egg each other on and it looked worse than it actually was.
OMG, that was when they were outside with the tree trucks, and yard trucks. There was one rag that posted, "Could this be meeting at the gate or Kate mad that Jon's returning with no gas?" A competing rag labelled the same photo "Jon gets told to leave van outside gate so trucks can deliver trees?" both had questionmarks. That means they are looking at faces and guessing the comment. There was nothing published about "Jon now has to leave them at the gate."
ReplyDeleteDawn - my point was there were times when Jon did special days with boys and Kate did with girls. I think more than gender of parent or child is was what the activity was and which parent felt more comfortable with that activity.
ReplyDeleteGoodnight all. Good point Adele! Warm love to both parents and to the adorable precious children.
ReplyDeleteAgain, I didn't say anything was PUBLISHED about the drop off at the gate. The story/rumor came out a few weeks ago. Believe it or not. I don't appreciate words being put in my mouth or totally reading into my posts what you want and not what I wrote. I do not feel I have not BASHED Kate here on this blog as I know this is not the site. They are both to blame for this mess in some way some form. My questions are observations I feel are fair. But again, I am done.
ReplyDeleteOk too much to say right now and I need to go to bed but I'll be back on tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteAdele I agree with you that Kate will put a stop to this lunacy. I also wonder if Jon not coming to the house is his choice and kind of a passive agressiveness to Kate. We do not know. It is sad that it seems that any time that things look to be calming down, he pulls something. It is also really something that haters are buzzing about the kids wanting to be with him and not Kate when we have no evidence that Kate was even on the property. Maybe she was still away on business or something
ReplyDeletetashapork~ I was thinking that too. Do we even know if she was there? And why are people making it seem like the kids were being torchured when they were probably just cranky and missed their dad?
ReplyDeleteI am going to bed but I wanted to send out prayers and nothing but positive energy to Kate Gosselin to help her through all the negativity that comes her way. I really admire her strength because I must admit I couldn't be as strong as she has been. And she is one lucky lady to have eight such beautiful, smart and healthy children. Night all.
ReplyDeleteBM, Linda, Lexi, & all -
ReplyDeleteThe Drop off/Pick up started before the trees were put in and before any on line stuff was out. Jon was or is just frustrated and acting out like a kid. It's all wrong in my book. I don't twitter or follow that stuff and do not know what exactly was twittered by Ellen or Jon. Only know what BM said they said LOL.
IMHOP He should drive them up to the house and let them out there. No paps and no pics. Problem solved and Kate should greet them at the door not the nanny. The kids then might make the adjustment better to see their mother is home waiting for them and they might not be as upset. Use the Bodygaurd at this time if she thinks there will be any hassle, but I doubt that there is or has been that much. Jon doesn't act out with the kids. He is too passive.
Also, he does not need the password to get in the gate. Not his house anymore! I think the whole thing started if Ellen was driving the other vehicle, but that should not matter since they made the rules.
OK - regardless of why this happened - we know that JON has had at least some sort of a relationship with the guy making the video (we've seen them together a bunch) - one would THINK that Jon would go to the guy and say "Look, video all you want of me - I'll tell you where Ellen and I are going to dinner next ..." SOMETHING - but please don't put my kids out there at a time like this. DOES HE NOT THINK ABOUT THINGS LIKE SCHOOL GETTING READY TO START AND HOW THIS COULD AFFECT THE KIDS?!?! Jeez Louise!
ReplyDeleteI don't really care to try and sort out the details of the who/what/why/when the drop off was happening there or if it was set up or not. Jon had the ability to get in the van and SHUT THE DOOR behind him and hug his kids goodbye. To me - THIS kind of video is EXPLOITING the kids. Where the heck is his fatherly instinct to PROTECT his kids? Oh, wait, this is JonG we're talking about. He only has instincts to make sure he satisfies himself.
So freaking sad.
I apologize in advance. I normally try not to out and out slam Jon (although I lost respect for him a long time ago) but I watched that video and felt vomit in my throat. I think this is probably, for me, in the top 3 HORRIBLE things Jon has done.
I no longer give a rat's bark about the parents. There is plenty of blame to go around.
ReplyDeleteTHESE CHILDREN ARE GOING THROUGH TRAUMA AND NEED TO BE OFF TV AND IN THERAPY!!!
The divorce, scandal and media are hurting 8 precious children. If you guys really care; push for the end of all this publicity. Let them try to live a normal life. We have no right to watch them grow up.THEY ARE BEING DESTROYED!
I don't care if Kate goes on 1000 shows.
I don't care if Jon dates 1000 young bimbos.
I DO care that those children are sobbing and near hysterics. They don't deserve it.
The filming of the kids by the paparazzi needs to STOP. A father who allows or invites paps to invade his children is just evil! The same father who finds songs denigrating women "funny" is sick!
ReplyDeleteI understand the last drop off was because of the tree-bushes being planted. But I wonder if Jon not being allowed on the property has anything to do with the rumour about the chickens being let lose. Granted I'm just speculating that if Jon did let the chickens go after a late night drinking then why should Kate let him on the property.
ReplyDeleteI do however find it strange that the "pap" ask's Jon if it is hard to drop off the kids and then all the drama ensues. It could not have been a better set up IMO.
Chris the paparazzi was shooting the picks leaving Jon's apartment. Didn't we all know some drama was coming after the weekend tweets?! Jon is just too ignorant (?) or whatever to think beyond the immediate moment. Ellen watch out. You are so young you cannot see past your media. Rap songs that denigrate women and found funny?? Forget that it was about Kate. Substitute "mother" for Kate! Finding this funny???? The man's intellectual and ethical development never made it out of the starting blocks. Doesn't say a heck of a lot for any progress by his life coach either. Wasted $10k in that venture.
ReplyDeleteFilming is pretty much over for now. Do you really think that stopping forever is going to make paparazzi go away?
ReplyDeleteLinda, it will eventually. This cannot go on; the kids are hurting. I cried when I saw that video.
ReplyDeleteChildren do not benefit from reality TV. When they were babies it was different. I literally feel sick about the situation.
Paparazzi did not stop when filming stopped before. It could slow down a heck of a lot or stop if made to look bad. Perhaps Jon being a man, turning to face them and saying loudly, "Film me all you want. LEAVE me kids the heck ALONE!!!" there would be such an outcry that legislators would rush to enact laws. But I don't guess they'd pay you then? Would have to be a real, true to life man instead of an overgrown boy.
ReplyDeleteOK, I only made it down to Lexxi’s comment at August 3, 9:59PM. Please, enough with the passive aggressive slams at Jon and his “personal pap.” We all know Chris the INF pap is at the beck and call of both Kate and Jon. Who calls Chris and when is anybody’s guess, but it’s the same guy for both of them. INF was also credited for the Alaska photos so clearly they have a set-up with TLC. Sorry, but my blood was boiling. Now, I will watch the video and go back to reading…
ReplyDeleteWow. This video has proven to me just how much people jump to conclusions with no facts and no knowledge.
ReplyDeleteWe do not even know if Kate was there and why lump her in with Jon. Even the paps say she doesn't call them. I wouldn't give him a passcode to anything. After he publically condoned that video I would never deal with him without a mediator anyways.
And BTW JW we defend her for the same reason you keep coming back here except we're not going where we are not wanted trying to force our opinion down people's throat.
It's called a telephoto lense. Just because they took the pics doesn't mean she approved them.
ReplyDeleteAgain, no facts.
I don't care who Chris works for! I don't care who he pays or how much. I want him to stop getting in the face of kids. Chris indeed works for INF. As for Alaska, who knows. INF buys photos from anybody. You could be on the street, pass a celeb, snap a photo, sell it to INF. Anybody can be a paparazzi. Just have to have a camera. I don't give a freaking flip about what adult windows, car doors, rooftops, etc they stalk, but leave kids the heck alone!! Frankly, I wish Kate would finish the contract, put the kids on a plane and move to Europe. Send Jon a ticket for his visitation times. Or, move to Montana with miles of barren land that you couldn't shoot across. If Jon could go to Utah for 5 months with that quarterly flavor, why not? I feel the filming of the kids has pretty much run the couse except perhaps, at most, a special annually or every other year.
ReplyDeleteCrafty Mom - ITA and very well said.
ReplyDeleteI agree Lori Anne, that pap films both Jon and Kate. We don't know who calls him but they both have been nice to him. Both parents have talked to him and done the supposed "photo ops" at various places. Kate and Jon have both spoken friendly to him. He filmed Kate at Whole Foods, taking the kids in their PLW shirts to Austin's restaurant and with Tony Doviolani and in Alaska.
ReplyDeleteBoth parents need to tell the paps to back off. I'm a woman and I'd have no problem telling some guy with a camera to get lost.
I have not watched the video yet but I find it interesting how the fans and non-fans each get something different out of it. I'm curious to see it now since some feel it is staged. So does that mean the kids are acting? Why would this be staged but what is shown on TLC show is reality?
*waves to Baby Mama
I want all children protected with filming. Permits for shoots? Not a problem I concur. Protection from paparazzi on the kids home turf? Long overdue. Does he have a business license? Has anybody checked? Here he'd have to have a license at the state level (or from another state.) Then to do business within the state, a license for every county where he did business. Does he pay taxes? Has anybody checked those? Is he safely driving his motor scooter when he's in pursuit? In the town area near Jon's apartment, is he jumping over curbs?
ReplyDeleteKate never even answered Chris the pap until Whole Foods. Let's see, the paparazzi say Kate won't talk to them. It is staged when you call a pap to cone do photograps and you leave the door of the van open. Even you SchmeckyGirl said the same situation was wrong with Jon and the pap at the school bus pickup of the twins when Jon left his car door open so the photos could be shot.
ReplyDeleteAl Walentis, who worked for US magazine last summer and appears to still talk to the paps, said Kate does not call the paps but Jon does. How can you believe TLC uses INF when the pictures they post have Kate and the kids frowning? If TLC had anything to do with INF they would be smiling in all of their pictures!
ReplyDeleteI have a problem with Jon because he did not tell the pap to get off the property when he approached the van asking "Will Kate be joining US?" Instead, he answers, “Probably the nanny”. The kids were not crying at that point. The crying started after he rolled up the window. It makes you wonder what was said. By leaving the van door open and allowing the pap to film makes it look like he was in on it.
I wonder what Jon did to make her not allow him on the property. For the sake of the kids, I also hope Kate makes other drop off arrangements.
Didn't take Kate long at all after final property settlement to have trees and shrubs added. I'm betting she's going to add an "S" in driveway with trees in the curve. Wonder if Chris will go to helicopter shots then? Lol. Somehow I see him more along the lines of "ultralight" flying, or remote controlled helicopters; please nobody tell him that you can get a hammer to block the remotes - available at radio shack etc for $12 or so. Wouldn't it be fun to watch the crash of a $600 helicopter toy? How do I know? When I worked for marketing company a client used the remote jammer to block a competitors shot of their product. It's amazing the lengths some will go to.
ReplyDeletePerhaps a low tech system would be multiple water hoses attached to sprinklers along the fence and gate. Most cameras are not very compatible with water. Although attacks are never ever a solution, it does make you understand the frustration that has lead some celebs to jerk the cameras out of paps hands and smash them. Bamboo is ugly in my opinion but makes a very dense and high screen. It grows as much as a foot a day. Will it grow in PA? Haven't researched that.
ReplyDeleteHow can you believe TLC uses INF when the pictures they post have Kate and the kids frowning? If TLC had anything to do with INF they would be smiling in all of their pictures!
ReplyDelete-----------------------------
They've filmed worse on the TLC show. IMO.
Question: why aren't people protesting the invasion of privacy of minors by the papaparazzi? Does anybody know the last names of the paps? Have they been checked through the predators database like the TLC camera crew? It isn't just the photos they take either! What about all the garbage they are screaming out at the kids and in their presence? Do you think a pap would stop a kid from walking into the street like the TLC crew? Ask yourself? Would they prevent a child from getting hurt OR would they hope for a semi to hit with blood and gore? Why is a crusade to stop filming limited to TLC and the Gosselins? Why is there not a crusade to stop ALL paparazzi shots of minors? Ok. Off the soapbox, maybe.
ReplyDeleteBreaking News....Conspiracy just uncovered with TLC paying off paparazzi to make photos of sobbing children!!! NOT! There's no conspiracy here! Dang. Kate wasn't even seen; nobody know if she was even home. Yet somehow this has become her fault. I've seen the cameras from TLC stop when the kids hold up a hand. I've seen them stop when Kate holds up a hand or when she's shooed them out. I've never seen a paparazzi back off. Not ever. I will give you this Schmecky - I would NOT hesitate a New York minute to tell them to get off my property and out of my kids faces. Not a single second even. I'd change up exchange times, hours, locations, whatever it took. I'd have signs and petitions for paparazzi free zones. I'd have a camera taking pictures of the paparazzi faces and I'd post them on a website. Under each photo i'd post "This person badgers children!" Why doesnt aone child activist do just that???Kate's stronger than I am. I'll bet we see the security team coming up with new plans. But Jon will have to go along and not tweet or text about the plans.
ReplyDeleteThe reason for Jon dropping the kids off at the gate is because Jon had brought Ellen on the property when he brought the kids home once. That changed the rules. What I find funny is the last 2 times the kids were with Jon, the twins were not there, wonder why? They gave him a small hug on the video, but not a hug like we miss you so much daddy. I wonder what is up with that. They prob love having mom all to themselves.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, or should I say afternoon everyone! I see that when I step away for something called sleep the trolls invade. lol And no I have not been sleeping since noon. I am so happy to see some of my girls back! yay! Missed you...
ReplyDeleteI know watching this video has been very hard for all of us to watch. Some more than others. But having little ones myself, seeing my daughter throw herself on the floor screaming because she wants a lollypop at 9am, I got everything into perspective real quick. People, the kids are crying. They do it everyday. Its not because Kate is a bad mom, or Jon is a bad father. They are sad because they miss their parents together. It's as simple as that.
It's upsetting to see haters taking this to a level that is almost a joke at this point. It's sad for ME even to not see the family together anymore. But Jon chose ot leave the doors open to show the pap what was going in the car and that was WRONG. Keep your damn business private and stop trying to make your wife look bad by not allowing your butt inside. She could have had a rwason, or she may not have even been there and the nanny made a wise judgement call. Did anyone think of that? Either way, it clearly shows that the trres were working, because this guy that stalks Jon & Kate clearly couldn't get any other footage once the kids went in.
SCORE: Jon 0 TREES: 1
Shortnsaszy~ I agree 100%, Esp. Mady. I remember the episode where she went away with just Kate and she was so happy it was almost sad. Those girls are older now, and the need time with their mother privately. Im sure they missed their dad too, but REFER to let the "babies" spend time with their dad. I say this because I have one of my own.
ReplyDeleteWoo Hoo Baby Mama! I'm glad you got some sleep! You got right to the heart of it! It hurts watching kids cry. Hubby and I were discussing a fall trip in the car. One 11yrold started bawling, just sobbing. Hubby said, "What the heck is up?" she said I miss you when you're gone. Go figure. Kids can cry at 2, 6, 11, or 16.
ReplyDeleteThe kids are not crying, it is more then that. There is something wrong going on but we don't know what.
ReplyDeleteKids get hysterical. I work at a summer camp and a 5 year old grazed a bush and another little girl convinced her it was posion ivy and she cried hystrically and screamed for half an hour. The tups were probably just upset to leave dad and that's normal. I diagree with those that thought Jon was wrong to yell "Enough." I think it was completely warented because the kids were getting ridculous and needed to tone it down. The discussion the other day was if they were saying Daddy shut the door or daddy don't shut the door. I heard plain as day someone (I think Lex or Leah) scream "Daddy DON'T shut the door!" I also noticed, as somone else pointed out, that the tiwns did not go with him this time or last time. They clearly walked from the house with the nanny. I do agree that the drop off should be inside the gate so the paps don't see, but Kate may have vaild reasons for not letting him on HER property. That is her right. It is just a sad situation for the kids, but they are young and will adjust. Look at how they react and how the twins react. It's just their age.
ReplyDeleteI also know how it is for people to twist kids behavior to what suits them and their adgenda. I was taking a two and a half year old close relative from Tucson to Colorado and we needed to use a shuttle bus. It was a situation where the mother had lost custody to CPS and she needed a relative placement. The mother during visitation had kept her up most of the night and she was really cranky, she also hated sitting in car seats because her mother didn't make her sit in them. The uncle had accompanied me with her to the shuttle where she was throwing a fit about sitting in the car seat. Later I got a call from the mother that he told her that she was crying to not go with me and wanted him and her, when that never happened. He also never told her because he didn't see it that she fell asleep before we hit the first traffic light and slept all the way to the airport, woke up and was happy the rest of the day. Instead he chose to make me look cruel.

Maybe they will say when the next new episode is.
I finally watched the video. IMO Jon set this up with the pap. I have heard that Kate makes Jon drop the kids at the gate, and this was his way of letting the public know what he has to put up with. Chris is not a very good actor, lol. His direct questions to Jon were rehearsed. When Chris asked if Kate was coming to meet them, Jon said “Probably the nanny.” I’m guessing this is the normal scenario and Jon wanted it filmed. Now, the kids’ reaction to the drop off was genuine and maybe even more than Jon bargained for. I’m beyond sad that their private moment was intruded upon through no fault of their own.
ReplyDeleteBoth parents need to stop using their kids as weaponry in their power struggle. Even inadvertently, they get hurt.
Kate: Just because you’re pissed at your ex does not mean your children should be inconvenienced (and vulnerable) while being picked up/dropped off.
Jon: This was the wrong way to get sympathy. Work on cleaning up your act, and respect and privileges will naturally follow.
dbona - Somehow I missed your initial post at the top. You are right, the trees do look great!!
ReplyDelete-----
Kayla - I think people hear what they want to hear. Because we have audio editing equipment, I decided to run it through there where you can play it less than a second at a time. There are multiple voices talking at the same time in the opinion of the techies here.
-----
Tashapork - Thanks for sharing that.
Lori Anne - OMG, lol, I pretty much agree with everything you said!
ReplyDeleteWould be perhaps 100% except for the part about Kate. In the "I have heard that Kate makes Jon drop the kids at the gate..." I had heard that also. Except that I can't find a single sources for even a "quasi news" report. The only place I could find it after much searching, was on hater sites!!! That makes me really suspicious. Particularly when it followed the "Kate kept the court's decision private but we are pretty sure that this is what happened..." I just wonder how they can be sure what happened? Sorry, it just kinda sounds like some hair-brained thing that somebody made up. If you have a citation or source, would you post it?
If it could be documented, I'd be saying, "Kate that didn't work! Please go back to court and get some different means!" Does that make sense, Lori Anne?
Hi Linda, Yup, makes sense. I think the dropping off at the gate may have started out as a rumor based upon some of Jon's recent antics, but I now tend to believe it. Why else would the nanny come down the driveway instead of Jon driving in, particularly when the kids were so distressed? Why would Chris say "is Kate coming down to meet you" when a natural assumption would be that Jon would be driving through the gate once it was opened. To me it all points to Jon not being allowed beyond the gate. JMO.
ReplyDeleteJust as some people have said that watching Jon and Kate Plus Eight has helped them address some relationship issues, as sad as it to see all of this unfold publically, I hope some divorced parents are opening their eyes to how all of this affects the kids. This is a clearcut example of what goes on many families accross the counrty and I hope someone learns from it.
ReplyDeleteI also taught preschool for years was a nanny for 10 years and I am currently raising three children. I just watched my three year old have a similar meltdown earlier because I told her her dad wasn't coming home early today and this was when when was tired and he was supposed to bring her a special dinner if he came home early.
ReplyDeleteI guess that means my kid is afraid of being alone with me? I can not even count on my hands how many times I have seen pick up and drop offs like that when I taught.
StoryLady, I have had kids cry exactly like that for tired and separation anxiety also for tantrums of trying to get what they want. I really believe that if the kids were afraid to go home for some reason, Jon would be playing that up to the hilt. In any of the mean and cruel things he's said about Kate, he has never said she mistreats or scares the kids.
ReplyDeleteWe don't know. It does not prove anything. I do not blindly think that Kate is blameless either so don't start slinging that at me either.
ReplyDeleteLori Anne - A technicality but Chris the Pap says "Do you think she'll come down to meet US?" (Why would Kate come down to meet Chris?
ReplyDeleteWhy not say "Do you think Kate will come down to meet you?" Jon has been not saying anything but then responds "Probably the Nanny," closes the window says "I can't hear" and makes the call.
We have zippo idea what is said. He could have said, "Open the gate and let me in" to her. He could have said, "Come down and get the van" to her. He could have said, "Bring the twins to say hello." We have zippo idea what he said.
I still wonder why he didn't call ahead and say, "I have Chris the Pap on my tail. Please come down and wait at the gate so you can take the van," if he didn't want a scene filmed.
By the way, He punches in code numbers when he arrives (and dang it all you can see the code so good thing it didn't work or more yucky people would be punching it in!)
That whole bit just puzzles me.
CraftyMom - I'm not holding Kate blameless either. I just can't track down anything where Kate asked for the change or demanded he not come past the gate, or any agreement said the change had to take place at the gate. I can't find anything about Kate's actions. If indeed she said, "I don't want him in here again," I'd be saying, "Kate, it is isn't working and for heaven's sake make some changes!"
ReplyDeleteLinda, you make a good argument. We really do know "zippo." All we have is speculation and gut insticts. Well if it's not true Kate's camp will stage a friendly family pick up or drop off soon enough. I hope it's not true, really I do. It just looks like that's the case right now.
ReplyDeleteexactly Linda! ;) pet peeve of mine, well two: when people speak for me and people who make presumptions then state them as fact. You my dear have NONE of those qualities. :)
ReplyDeleteStoryLady~ I'm literally in a subway right now trying not to laugh at your rediculous comment. Not that the comment wad crazy "they are scared of something in THAT house". But that it sounded like a cheesy "amityville horror" quote. I'm sorry that I deleted it now. At the time I just couldn't see where you were going with it, and I didn't know what you were trying to imply.
ReplyDeleteHi CraaftyMomof3 (that's quite a handle!) I wasn't stating anything as fact; only that I'd heard it and tend to believe it. I'd looooovvvve to be proven wrong, for the kids' sake :)
ReplyDeleteHi Baby Mama, yeah, StoryLady's comment was a bit "out there" like there's a ghost in the attic or something. I wouldn't like to speculate as to why a group of small kids were upset. We just don't know.
ReplyDeleteNo worries Lori Ann it wasn't directed at any one that posts regularly.
ReplyDeleteJust call me Crafty LOL
My 16 year old daughter was insulted that I was going out with a friend today. I have been with my daughter every day since school let out. I had to laugh because she is 16 and she was put out that I would ditch her. As Linda said, children of all ages may react emotionally when a parent is leaving... : )
ReplyDeleteI think the situation was staged in a passive-aggressive attempt to show the world something. Not sure exactly what Jon wanted to show us because everyone got something different from it. Passive-aggressive messages never say what the person really wants to say. We don't know what Jon said into the intercom, we don't know exactly what the kids said in the van, and we don't know why Jon would allow the pap(s?) to film.
ReplyDeleteI do know that it made me sad for Jon and the kids and I too hope that others can learn from this situation so that other children/families can reflect on their own behaviour. I know this show has made me a better parent.
Fascinated~ I really lived your comment, it's so true. It's just another example of people taking what they want from it, and drawing their own conclusion. This show had absolutely mace me look into my own behavior as a wife and mother if young children. What I may have felt may have Bern fine in my reactions towards parenting issues makes me thankful I wasn't on TV fir the world to attack & criticize me.
ReplyDeleteBut it still amazes me that people would taking this video as some horrific incident fit the kids because I still don't see it as such. Still sad none the less.
I told you! Just when I think it's safe to be bored, Jon does something to shake up the scene. So much to say but I won't do it. I think it's obvious.
ReplyDeleteOddly even with all thats going on, I'm really loving Kate Plus 8 tonight! They are playing them all night. Thanks again Kayla for letting me know this afternoon!
ReplyDeleteThe scene at the gate reminded me of the episode where J&K were dropping the kids off at the church day care while J&K went to church. The kids howled and cried and literally had to be pried off their parents. Does that mean that the church care workers were cruel and abusive? Of course not. As soon as the kids were in the door they were fine and happy. For people to suggest that just because the kids are sad to leave dad means that there's something horrific going on in Kate's house is just absurd. Also, just as in the church episode, I think the group dynamic is a large factor. The kids might have been fine until just one of them starts to get upset, then the domino effect.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back ShirleyNoName :)
ReplyDeletePeople keep e-mailing me asking why Jon hasnt responded about this over Twitter. It's a rediculous question. Jon got attacked for making fun of Kate. His Tweets are light & love right now and will continue to be that way because of what he did.
On a positive note, I LOVE the cute pop-ups on the show. Some of the info I never knew. It's called Kate Plus 8 & More. Remember VH1's Pop-up Videos? Or an I dating myself ;) It's just like that. I miss watching the kids and I'm really enjoying watching the show with the added extras.
If the gate code had not been changed, we would not be talking about this. The transfer would have occurred out of sight.
ReplyDeleteIn an emergency, Jon should be able to get on the grounds.
Denise - If Jon had not left the van door open and allowed the pap to film, the transfer would have been out of sight.
ReplyDeleteKate got the house in the divorce. He should not have access to her home.
Pop Up Video rocked! I loved it. Almost time for a new post Baby Mama! Are you going to be able to keep up once school starts??? LOL It's been REAL interesting here today. ;)
ReplyDeleteRight on Gee Whiz.
ReplyDeleteThere is plenty of blame to go around. The only innocent ones are the ones being punished.
ReplyDeleteThe reason for the drop off point is when Jon brought Ellen onto the property to bring the kids home and she got out of the car to say good bye. But that video yesterday, I think Jon instigated it all before he got out of the van, then he tells them to knock it off and thats enough. Leaves the doors open so the pap can shoot. What I want to know is why havent the twins been with him on the last 2 visits. Are they tired of Ellen taken up their dads time when they are there.
ReplyDeleteDenise~ The kids are not being punished. It's called divorce and children everywhere go through it. It's not their fault. And no one is punishing them. They are wonderful kids that sadly have to deal with an uncomfortable situation all around.
ReplyDeleteCraftyMom~ I have run my own blog for 2 years now. Yes these poor people had to wait 7 hours before I checked moderation (lol) but yes. So far I should be OK and Linda will offically be taking care of the blog for me when I leave for vacation so there will be no problems like last year..
ReplyDeleteI am in awe that you can. ;) I can barely keep up with my Facebook page half the time. Linda will be a great Moderator.sorry I've been all over this post today. Apparently this topic makes me cranky.
ReplyDeleteKate Plus Eight look at people in Ukraine. And I want you to know that we love you ... In any case, that did not happen ... I'm sorry if I write with mistakes, I do not know much English ... You have wonderful children **)))
ReplyDeleteOh yes .. I do not understand how to write such .. Kate is doing everything in its power .. to her children in no need of .. It is a very strong woman, and we admire her in the Ukraine))
ReplyDeleteWow, scarlett, you are asking to be deleted and I am sure that is going to happen soon. Picking on Mady does not help anyone in this situation.
ReplyDeleteLEAVE THE KIDS ALONE!
Good morning everyone! Spent the night cleaning & watching Kate Plus 8. Really missing them on Monday nights! someone better edit that Alaska episode soon, what's taking them so long? I see a troll decided to grace her presence here, do they not sleep? Or is 3:00am EST when they decided to come up with their best ideas?
ReplyDeleteFresh paper will be here in a bit..picking up my dad at JFK with my kids in tow was not fun this morning. Must crawl back to bed & hide for a bit..
Baby Mama, you must have missed the blurb @ the bottom of the screen it said Kate Plus 8 Mondays @9/8c starting Aug 30th. I take this to mean every Monday. I am not sure, but that's what it said. Did anyone else see that?
ReplyDeleteHey ladies!
ReplyDeleteFamous Footwear is having a good sale right now. Every shoe is Buy One Get One Half Price PLUS 20% off. Here is the link. If you click on the sale banner you can print up a coupon if you have a store near you. They were running free shipping for 3 or more pairs of shoes too yesterday.
http://www.famousfootwear.com/?partnerid=PERFORMICS
If that link doesn't work you can just go to their site www.famousfootwear.com
Personally I don't think Famous Footwear has great prices because, like Kohl's and some other stores, they jack up their prices and even with the Buy One Get One you pay more there than elsewhere, however, the additional 20% made them cheaper than anywhere else. (I shopped around first.)
I got 4 pairs of Skechers Twinkle Toes (the ones that light up) and a pair on Converse Chuck Taylors for $85 total. One of the Skechers alone was over $50 regular price and the cheapest I could find them online was $40 a pair.
Just wanted to share. It's good for adult shoes too, not just kids.
Have a great day....
Just watched the video clip finally. It was really sad. After all the comments I have read I think the ONLY thing we can say for sure without speculation is that the kids did not want to leave their father.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Jon is allowed to go past the gate either but I would say that is also speculation. I would say it's obvious because he couldn't open the gate and drive up, except we don't know if he made that decision himself (but it does look like he can't open the gate).
I think they need to do what's best for the children and Jon should be able to take them to the house, especially since the paps are there. However, he might have also said his goodbyes before he put them in the car and maybe if he took them out of their car seats he would have 6 kids hanging onto his legs. Maybe it would have prolonged the inevitable. He has to drop them off.
It's just sad.
I don't think the kids crying has to mean they don't want to go home to their mother. I think it just means they don't want to leave their father. However, I think Kate should have come down and got them. Maybe they would have been happy to see their mother and it would have made the transition easier than being dropped off at the bottom of the driveway and picked up by a nanny. When asked Jon didn't say Kate wasn't home, he just said probably the nanny was coming down to get them. That leads me to believe (or speculate) that Kate was home. Maybe she didn't want to deal with Jon and I can understand that but their kids' feelings should come first.
I also think it's possible that Jon "let" the pap film the kids crying when he dropped them home because he wants everyone to see how the kids react. That tells me they do that all the time when he drops them off otherwise why would he "stage" the drop off. But that's speculation and I would not say that I feel he definitely let the pap film it purposely. Those kids were genuinely upset and he can't stage that.
I don't think Jon handled it badly. We don't know if he can keep the van door closed and go back and forth between the kids. He did close it when he was out of the car. He just left it open a little. If he was trying to exploit their crying he would have left it wide open the whole time.
Also, the pap remained a fair distance away and didn't try to get a better angle. I personally feel he should not have filmed anything. I think Jon should have told him to get lost. I wonder why neither of them ever do. It baffles me.
I don't think this video was any more invasive than what TLC films. Actually I personally feel it was less invasive. If TLC was filming this they would have stuck their cameras and mics much closer and would have been in the kids' faces. I think we would have seen more than just one child. I've seen close up shots of them crying hysterically with their noses running.
Baby Mama said...
ReplyDeleteMake SURE friend has video to see kids sad to leave there dad, make them sound HYSTERICAL. Make Kate look bad. I want to hear from you all and tell me if you agree with me or not.
---------------------------------------------------
Staged or planned or not, I don't think Jon could MAKE them sound hysterical. You say it makes Kate look bad. Do you think it does? I actually don't think it necessarily makes Kate look bad. Sure, some can take it that way but I don't think it has to be.
I think it would have MAYBE made Kate look bad if she was there and the kids didn't want to go with her or weren't happy to see her. But them crying in the car away from Kate doesn't necessarily mean they didn't want to go home to Kate. Maybe they just didn't want to go home. Maybe they just didn't want to leave their father. Maybe they didn't want to go home to their mother. We really don't know.
We don't even know how many of them were crying. It did sound like all 6 but it could have just been 3. We know it was at least 2. Maybe the others were fine. I personally think they were all, or the majority were, crying because it was just so loud and sounded like much more than just 3 kids. JMO.
Schmecky- The point us, We Do Not Know!!! We can all speculate until the cows come home, but it isn't going to change the fact one iota that we do not know. The gate code was perhaps changed since his last visit. Perhaps changed two or more visits ago. Perhaps changed because somebody gained egress to let out the chickens and was taken as a security measure (we change our codes monthly.) Perhaps with Kate's new show (a solo, no kids, no $$ for Jon) he's desperate for attention. Perhaps he felt guilty for denigrating women by cheering the rap song so decided to shift gears. Perhaps he's desperate for money and selling pix is quick money. Perhaps Jon or Kate is evil incarnate. Perhaps it is a TLC conspiracy to gain viewers. Perhaps it did it after listening to bad advice. Perhaps he needs a life coach who could advise him on getting a larger apt and what to do with kids on rainy or cold days (IMO he trashed the $20k he says he paid a therapist as well as the $10k he paid current coach - money that could have been used for an apt for starters!) perhaps. Perhaps. Perhaps. (Upper sentence should read: point is, not "us" - phone won't let me change it.)
ReplyDeleteExcuse me, but there is a colossal difference SG. TLC films at the request of the parents. Not you, not me, at the request of the parents. This is something they decide. TLC stops filming when a parent, OR child holds up a hand or asks them to stop. The paparazzi do whatever the hell they want to do! They don't stop for anybody. I have never heard Jon say stop. We heard Kate ask them to please give them space during the show visiting the battleship. We had TLC filming stopped for what, six months. The paparazzi NEVER stopped during that period.
ReplyDeleteLindaO - ITA with your view of TLC.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy your posts. You communicate and analyze everything so well!
Thank you Gee Whiz.
ReplyDeleteLinda,
ReplyDeleteAmen! I totally agree, thank you!
Thanks to you also wildchild.
ReplyDeleteA bi-partisan hearing on child labor reform in Pennsylvania is set for Sept. 23 in Harrisburg.
ReplyDeleteChild advocate Paul Petersen, a one-time child star on "The Donna Reed Show," has been in Harrisburg all week meeting with lawmakers, business leaders and the media in an attempt to further the efforts of Murt.
ohh .. hot debate
ReplyDeleteBaby Mama - Yes, I couldn't sleep so got an early start on my work out then early child care for the new Granddaughter now for a nap. I am pooped! cu
ReplyDeleteSG - ITA with your post and am going to read it all again later. Busy weekend ahead and allot to do, so have a good one, everyone!
Baby Mama - Finally got the cable back late and got to watch again the Kate+8 specials. I thoroughly enjoyed the pop-up additions. It added a lot, I agree!
ReplyDeleteBaby Mama - Thanks for posting the birthday cake! I thought it was so cute and what a linked tie-in to the present, the Dolphin swim. It also made me chuckle at the planning to avoid the nasty paparazzi! Gotta give her credit! The nasty paps hanging in the trees at the fifth birthday last year and her determination to avoid them. I'd be willing to bet that there will be no repeat of the gate dropoff. It will be interesting to see. It could be an added S curve inside the gate. It could be double gates with screens. Speculating on the solution is interesting. Again, I'm just betting Kate and the security teams figure out a solution.
ReplyDeleteKate posted a new blog about shopping at the grocery. Check it out!
ReplyDeleteA sound tech Geek played the vid for me and although neither he nor I are 100% certain, we both heard the same thing, one child screaming and crying, "shut the door, Daddy", and then others joining in with the same request. These kids do not like the paps so close. Jon actually apologized to the pap for closing the window. He should have told the pap to stop but he didn't. Yes I absolutely believe the whole thing was staged but backfired on Jon.
ReplyDeleteI don't give a fig about speculations that once again hint that Jon is blameless in this fiasco. He could have and should have stopped the pap and he should have shut the door and most of all he should have considered the children instead of himself. I am the mother of 2 sets of twins and I daily experience some of the same things that Kate does. I can't even go to the market with my 4 girls unless I have 2 other adults with me. My girls are fearful because people take their picture with cell phones and get in their faces and try to touch or hug or pick them up. My girls will soon be 6yrs and 4yrs old. I totally admire the way that Kate handles things especially having to deal with a jealous, hateful, immature, and vindictive ex-husband. Yes she makes mistakes but from what I have seen she learns from them. Jon, however continues to repeat the same self grandizing pattern over and over.
SM you should never make any kind of speculation about Kate unless and/or until you walk a very long distance in her shoes. Since you so obviously dislike Kate and always, always tend to hold Jon blameless or give him a pass then try to justify your words by backpedaling then I am glad you are not my mother or in my circle of family and friends.
Linda O...ITA with your postings and always enjoy your intelligent and insightful commonsense viewpoints on all the Kate fan blogs.
Puff~ thank you so much for your great post. It was really nice to see all of you have such a respectful debate on this important topic!
ReplyDeleteI hope you will all follow me onto some fresh paper! I think it's about time and we are in dire need of it.
Todays fresh paper comes to you from..Katz's Delicatessen, located at 205 E. Houston Street. tHE SAME dELI Where they filmed that famous "scene" from When Harry Met Sally. I had never been there, but after todays lunch, I will forever be going back. Let the warm smell of the fresh bread and meats seep into your nostrils. Can you smell the corned beef as we speak?? lol
