Jon Gosselin, You’re In Hawaii With Your New Girlfriend — But When Is The Last Time You Saw Your Kids? HollywoodLife.com
Jon, why are you in Hawaii with a new woman, when you haven’t seen your eight little Gosselins in a month! You’re in Hawaii with 25-year-old Morgan Christie , your new girlfriend, who you met while vacationing in Park City, Utah. But Jon, don’t you think you should be home, spending some quality time with your children?
It’s been a REALLY long time since you’ve seen those eight little faces. The last time you were with them was Jan. 16 — and you spent that time yelling at them! We know you love hitting the slopes, and the waves, but these childish hobbies should not come before seeing your children — especially now that you and Kate are divorced!
Are you acting this way because Morgan comes from a very wealthy family and you’re trying to impress her by jet-setting around? Well, it’s more important to chase your kids around the yard than to chase around girls in their twenties … so Jon, why don’t you finally pack up and go home to Pennsylvania already?
My Favorite Jon & Kate Plus 8 Episode: Valentine's Day!
Happy Valentines Day everyone! So sorry I haven't been posting so fast lately. I had a super fun time yesterday. Today I stopped for a second to appreciate all I have been blessed with. I may not have the newly built 4 bedroom colonial or the hottest car, but I have everything I ever needed. My family. I missed them this weekend, and as much as I complain, time without my kids is no fun time at all.
ReplyDeleteMay you all get lots of hugs, kisses & valentines today. And I hope that they are chocolate! xoxoxox Baby Mama or Toddler Mama as I should now be called!
How does anyone know that the last time Jon was with his children was on Jan 16th?
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Valentines!!! I'm off to play with my girls in the snow AGAIN. I wish it would melt already. Ugh, I hate the cold!!! But they love it...
I'd be interested to know when he actually saw his children last, too. It's pretty clear he doesn't want to be a daddy anymore...he moved to NEW YORK to a one bedroom apartment. Seriously, would a woman with 8 kids do that? Nope, we'd know if we had them for a weekend, two weeks, holidays, etc. we'd need room for them. Jon didn't even consider that. Not surprised, he's a little 'into' Jon. I can't begin to imagine why these young girls even bother with him, what a nowhere person he is. No goals, no work to go to...just plays. If I were a young girl that would set up a big red flag to me.
ReplyDeleteI love this episode & am going to watch it with my kiddos today! I even did a spin-off of Kate's heart pancakes, and made my little guy heart shaped toast this morning! (Complete with strawberry jam, no less!)
ReplyDeleteSarah RDH~ Thats so funny you mentioned that! After I watched this for the first time I went out and bought heart shaped cookie cutters, hunted high and low for a giant red organizer box and begged Pottery Barn Kids (to no avail) to bring back those mailboxes for the back of the chairs! Last year we did a whole post about them. My kids LOVE Valentines day for the whole (simplified) treasure hunt expierence. For lunch today I even made the sandwiches heart shaped....Ahh the good ol days lol.
ReplyDeleteI love this episode! The kids are so adorable! They were beyond cute singing "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" on Valentine's Day! :o) Oh, how I miss watching them on Monday nights!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day everyone!
xoxoxo
babymama- yeah I would love to have those little mail boxes from PBK! MY goal was to make some for each holiday...I got as far as Halloween; I made spiders like PBK used to have. (I saw them on ebay for $35 each, they are from 2 years ago I think, and I thought that was ridiculous. So with help from my MIL, I made them.) There's actually a lot of blogs where ppl have posted directions for making them, but really it's not too hard to figure out! Happy Valentines Day!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Jon even has the NY apartment anymore? At 5k a month for the apartment - and an enormous amount of child support each month ....and not having a job and not being allowed to do the tv circuit - I would think something would have to give. When's the last time he was in NY I wonder? Would be interesting to know.
ReplyDeleteHowever -with that said -- a friend of mine and I were talking the other day and she thinks that Jon might be living off of an advance for a tell all book? She said she thinks that might be a very logical explanation to how he is still affording to do all these jet-set trips to Utah, Hawaii, etc. A 'no holds barred' tell all book would probably be worth quite a chunk of change - and a rather large advance for such a book would be completely reasonable. I think she might be onto something!
I don't think Jon is living off an advance from a tell all book - if he had that in the works, he would not be trying to negotiate with TLC to get the kids back on TV. And I absolutely believe he is doing that because of Heller's interview.
ReplyDeleteI think the simplest answer is the most likely. The contract Jon and Kate had with TLC ran through Feb 2010 - I expect Jon was getting paid through this month. Now when the cash flow has stopped and he can't take other offers (if any) because of the court injunction, he is back at the table with TLC.
As for tabloids knowing when Jon was last with the kids, I wonder if they have the ability to check flight manifests and know when Jon is flying someplace.
opened my most recent Glamour and JON GOSSELIN has been named the TOP DON'T, beating out Charlie Sheem and Speidi......
ReplyDeleteI agree Schmecky. How would they know when Jon was with the kids?
ReplyDeleteHow do we know what Jon's money source is? It may be his share of the proceeds from sale of old house or whatever. All we know is that it must be a big source, or he's not being very frugal with it. Probably why Kate handled the money. He's entitled to be happy and I hope he is.
I do hope that he gets some PA or elsewhere snow time with the kids.
Interesting that he chose a brunette again. Wonder whom will follow her? They don't seem to last very long and that's sad. I hope he continues to have the "loves of his life" out of the lives of the kids, at least until they appear to last a while. Glad they aren't getting exposed to a changing parade of Jon's loves. At least he's doing that right, or Kate is blocking the exposure to them.
I think Martha Stewart's craft site has patterns for the letterboxes that go on the back of chairs. I made them several years ago and think that's where I got them and not one of the pattern companies.
ReplyDeleteThanks BabyMama for posting that video.
I hope it really is not true that Jon has not seen his kids in a month! If it's true, those kids must be devastated and when they get done being devastated, they are going to hate his guts. It makes me utterly sad to think of them feeling unloved by their dad. How did he go from being such an involved and hands on father to a complete deadbeat dad? Ok, I guess I kind of retract that last bit because we don't know for sure if it's been that long BUT, he has still been pretty sucky in other ways for a long time so I don't take back that last bit ALL the way ;)
ReplyDeleteWell, looks like Jon has been having a grand old Valentine's. I wonder when the first interview about this new love will surface?
Also, I found the idea that Jon is living off an advance for a tell all to be quite interesting. It may not be happening just yet, but I sure think it would be right up his alley especially if he doesn't find employment soon or if he can't fix things with TLC. I could totally see spilling EVERYTHING in a book and sadly, whether people hate Jon or not, I can gurantee it will be a best seller because everyone wants to know the truth behind what and how the Gosselins crumbled. Sadly, it is just something waiting to happen in my opinion. The only thing that might stop him from doing it, is the fact that his kids would be greatly hurt by it because I know unlike Kate, he wouldn't sugar coat anything to protect them. He would probably make it as explosive as he could so it would be more tempting for people to buy it.
Oooh a tell-all book. Interesting. I'd read it. I hope his kids don't though!
ReplyDeleteIt would be nice if the kids would never know what happened and just know that their mommy and daddy love them and always put them first.
I actually don't know how I feel about it (and I guess it doesn't really matter how I feel anyway. lol) but considering all the stuff that the parents have said about each other in the media and all the stories that have been put out there in the media, I kinda think the children should know the truth. Again, as long as they know that no matter what happened between their parents that they've always loved and put their children first.
I just don't think it's fair for the children to grow up thinking that their father ended the marriage by "cheating" on their mother if that's not actually what happened. I don't think one parent should take all the blame for ending their "family" if that wasn't the case. I think they should both be honest and take responsibility for each of their part.
As for an advance on the book, I think Jon received his share of the old house and even the new one. Kate got the house but he may have received his share of it in cash. I do hope he's not blowing it all though because if he can't gain employment he may need it to live off and support his children.
I do wonder if Jon has anything already in the works once his contract with TLC is finished. I do think it was funny that Kate had this current book in the works and word of it never got out. I remember thinking she got all the "Kate haters" good with that one! lol.
another mom, I agree that a book from Jon would be explosive for sure, but I hardly think it would all be the truth. He has had a bit of trouble with the truth lately.
ReplyDeleteBaby Mama, read your tweet about cleaning after watching Hoarders...I do the same thing! Maybe there will be a show in the future about people like us!
ReplyDeleteI agree that we would not know what the "truth" is. But it would still be interesting to hear his side, as well as hers.
ReplyDeleteWhat I'd really like to read is a book written by the people who know what actually went behind the scenes of the show, like the crew and nannies, etc. Now THAT would be interesting. I'd also read anything by Beth Carson, although I doubt she would write about her experiences. I think if she was like that we would have heard from her by now.
Yes monkie, I totally agree with you. It would defintiely be HIS version of things but knowing people, they will buy it. :)
ReplyDeleteI feel bad for any editor for a book that Jon would write beuse they would have to make sense of him changing his story on each page. I would read his book just to try to get into that mind of his and understaand what is making him tick, but I would not take what he says as the truth necessarily because of what I have seen. It is possible that he has spent less time with the kids of late because maybe later in the spring Kate needs him to have the kids on a more extended basis for a book tour possibly or to work on her new show and he and Kate agreed to this. I also wonder if he's now more open to letting the kids film because Kate agreed to give him a break on the child support. She doesn't need as much from him if she gets it from other ways. I don't think with the economy as it is, there has been much increase in value to their current home, maybe even some loss. I think the girlfriend and her parents are footing Jon's bill in Hawaii
ReplyDeleteSo agree with everyone. Jon's version of things would be very interesting. I would read it. People are going to believe what they want anyway. Truth or not. I think any book written by or about the Gosselin's would be a best seller.
ReplyDeleteDoes Morgan have a job or does she too live off her rich parents like Hailey?
ReplyDeleteI honestly hope there is NEVER a tell all book - by Jon, Kate or anyone else except the kids if they all decide they want that when they are adults.
ReplyDeleteThese kids don't need they Daddy revealing all about their Mommy or vice versa in print. Kids want to love both parents. That fact that the marriage ended is the faulto both Kate and Jon - they don't need to read dueling parental versions of events (both of which may actually be the truth as they see it).
How the kids feel about each parent is going to be dictated very much by the relationship each parent creates with them from now until they are adults on their own. A tell-all from either parent will put another strain on the relationship with that parent.
Well said Par, I agree! :)
ReplyDeletePAR: very well said! I agree with all you said about a tell - all book.
ReplyDeletePAR:
ReplyDeleteYes, well said, I do agree with you. I guess the book would be for me then. lol.
But seriously, I do think that the children, when they get older, should be told that all the negative stuff was all lies unless they are going to know the entire truth. (And you're right not in a tell-all book.) But in my opinion, they shouldn't be allowed to think that something that isn't true is. I just don't think it's fair that one parent take all the blame for something IF it wasn't their fault just because that's the story that's out there. I'm not saying I know what the truth is but if what is out there is all a lie I think the children are entitled to know that. It's a tough one because you really don't want the children resenting their parents for something they didn't do.
People magazine is reporting Jon and TLC have reached an agreement on their lawsuit.
ReplyDeleteJust read online that TLC and JOn have reached an amicable end to the lawsuit. Here is the link...

I think it will be very interesting to see what happens over the next couple of days.
Kudos, Par. You hit the nail on the head - the best interest of the children. Everyone likes to talk about it but who actually stands by the standard when it means more juicy gossip?
ReplyDeleteJon and TLC have settled. Guess we have to wait and see what comes of it as it appears the whole thing is 'confidential'?

Hello everyone! Thank you all so much for keeping me posted, while I was at work today! I'm back to part time now, so things at home will be much less crazy! I will also be able to have more time for my family & of course my blog. I know it's been taking a while for comments to come on, and I'm working on that I promise! I am so happy that this whole thing is almost behind Jon.. what a horrible lesson for him to have learned and gone though. I put up a new post. I'm so excited for all involved..
ReplyDeleteThings are definitely getting heated up again around here. It will definitely be interesting to see what unfolds in the next day or two regarding the show.
ReplyDeleteI think Jon finally grew a brain in the sense that he probably knew if it came down to facing the lawsuit against TLC, he would lose for sure and since he is probably definitely feeling his lack of income right about now, he is smart enough to know that not only will he not be able to afford to pay child support but when he loses the lawsuit, there's no way he could pay the legal fees and settlements.
I am sure Kate is thrilled since all along she has felt this is their bread and butter. I wonder what will happen now that she has a new show slated to start.
The selfish part of me is thrilled that we may see the kids again in a Kate Plus 8 type show but the good sense part of me knows the kids were better off not on TV. All I can say is that I hope this time around, everything is done with the best interest of the kids at heart and since the divorce is over, hopefully they can go back to being a cute TLC show without all the crazy paparazzi following them. Of course, till Kate starts dating someone or Jon changes flavours of the month!
